Personable, attentive service and amazing food
This is our go to restaurant, we have never been disapointed, the service is great, the food is consistently great, I cannot fault it. The fusion beef rice paper rolls and dip are to die for. I have a really fussy daughter and she loves the vietnamese rice noodles. We always bring our visitors from the Uk here and they love it too and it is just on our doorstep, I would highly recommend to anyone.
Very friendly, clean and awesomely polite employees. Lovely food. Can’t fault it! Will always be back. The venue isn’t big but is adequately sized.
Found this place on Zomato, it was amazing, casual atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, food was so tasty and fresh. The price was the best surprise! Will definitely be making this a new regular
Had a great evening meal here. Quality fresh ingredients prepared and served by a very friendly and accommodating Vietnamese family. Highly recommended.
Our regular! Nice local restaurant, inexpensive with friendly staff and great tasty food! Do yourself a favour and give it a try!
Best: Vietnamese chicken salad and Vietnamese diced beef!
Great little local restaurant. Had ma’s spring rolls and the fusion fish cakes to start. Really nice with fresh salad on the side. For mains we had chilli prawns which had a really delicious sauce. We asked for medium chilli and it was perfect for us. Might be better to get the mild as per the menu if you don’t like heat. The rice noodles with chicken was also really yum. We took our own wine and we were provided an ice bucket. The service could not have been more friendly. We shared the fried ice cream for dessert which my friend loved more than me but that’s my personal taste and everyone else in the restaurant was ordering it. Little more expensive than northbridge but I didn’t have to pay to get there and they use Australian seafood. Will return for sure :)
Amazing little restaurant, the food was spectacular and staff very accommodating. They changed our meals to fit our needs and even gave my wife extra noodles for her take away (as couldn’t finish all the food we ordered)!
I really enjoyed the Diced Beef and Chicken Salad. The staff were very friendly as well.
Will be going back regularly! Highly recommend!
Last night I went to Vietnamese Fusion with a few of my girlfriends. We were greeted warmly by the front staff who happily took our many bottles of wine and put them in the fridge. Considering we had 3 vegetarian friends with us, the girls were very happy with the number of vego options available. The food that came out was delicious and fresh and very reminiscent of a typical Vietnamese dinner. The perfect restaurant to go to for fussy eaters and they do BYO! Can't wait to come back!
VFusion is a FANTASTIC little Asian restaurant in an area devoid of culinary variety, therefore I was surprised by the negative opinions offered by the people below. Equally, I was unsurprised by the POSITIVE opinions, also offered here.
For the future diner, I offer two pieces of advice. Firstly, note that none of us offering our opinions here is Rob Broadfield. Secondly, the proof of any pudding is well and truly in the tasting. And, whilst some of us don't like pudding, there are many of us who visit the dessert menu and choose from our own liking.
As there is no set criteria for my rating and my opinion, I would like to offer the following; clearly based on my adult dining experiences in Sydney (for 15 years), Melbourne (for 8 years) and now Perth (for 5 years) - not to mention an equal number of years eating at restaurants in Europe, Asia and Africa. For the record, I have been a fortnightly diner at VFusion since February, 2013.
~ The food is always FRESH and prepared freshly in a very busy kitchen at the rear of the seated area. Based on our patronage, we even pre-order dishes not on the menu that will be prepared during our seating!
~ The service is always FRIENDLY and driven by sound hospitality principles, especially from the host and owner/manager Tanya, often accommodating a full house (for three sittings a night) and diners with diverse dietary needs.
~ The clean and VIBRANT restaurant itself is well located, has ample parking nearby (for diners and takeaway alike) and is close to the bottle shop next door (if you want BYO alcohol with your meal).
Finally, for those who have the ability to establish a healthy relationship with their local restaurants (read: visit more than once, offer more than one opinion to either friends or online and speak to the staff directly) VFusion is the future of real dining: a place where, based on their eating experience, a diner will freely ask, "With which one of my circle of friends will I arrange a meal here next time, because I have received consistently fresh, QUALITY meals here and my DINING PLEASURE is always PARAMOUNT?"
Went to this restaurant with my partner after work on Wednesday night. He ordered the stuffed wings, I personally didn't like them (I think it may have been one of the herbs used that just want agreeing with my tastebuds) but he thought they were okay. I ordered the satay chicken and rice and it was honestly the BEST satay chicken I have ever had. It was so tasty, and a generous serving too! I couldn't eat it all. I would definitely pay this place another visit 🖤
Have eaten here a few times now. This particular restaurant is a little pricier than some others I have been to. Love the freshness of the rice paper rolls, noodles with beef were a little bland but apart from that was a nice casual dinner spot.
Yummy food here
Love the pineapple fried rice
They have a great menu
Haven't been here many times but it's alway been great
Very efficient
I've gotten take-away from here several times, food is always cooked fresh and tasty and is usually around a 10 minute pick-up time. Staff have always been very friendly too, great service & food for a good price.
Eat here quite regularly as the food is tasty, the staff friendly and their menu is quite extensive. It is what it is, I have never had a bad experience here and will keep going back :)
I'm surprised by the negative reviews. We eat here all the time and get takeaway. It's always beautiful and fresh. If you do have to wait it's because the food is freshly prepared. The Hanoi prawns are amazing!
I very nearly didn't order because of the negative reviews and I am so so glad I decided to order anyway. While they did forget an entree originally, they were so apologetic and gave us a refund as well as the missing dish. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was so fresh and the servings sizes were perfect. Definitely going back for a repeat!
Good Asian Fusion. Don't expect Vietnamese cuisine but it is good cheap and cheerful Asian fusion. The service is great and friendly. BYO with Scarborough Cellars next door is perfect. Can't fault it for what it is.. a local family run Asian joint.
Great local family restaurant. I went for a casual midweek night out with my wife, daughter(4) and in-laws.
VF has great food, VERY friendly staff, chilled out and laid back atmosphere, reasonable prices.
Like some have said, its not the pinnacle of eastern influenced dining in Perth, but it's everything you want from a quiet local restaurant.
Tip: Get the King Prawn Basket, you won't be disappointed with both taste and presentation.
This is my local. Really friendly staff, great food, great value, great place. 5 stars.
I prefer the takeaways to dine-in.
Yes I like it have been many times not the best Vietnamese but certainly not the worst in Perth my fav is the prawn basket and lemongrass curry it's menu is not massive but does do the trick for a quick meal not the cheapest Vietnamese but reasonable yes wish they had Pho ga
Not what I would call Vietnamese fusion food, but still fresh, tasty and decently priced. Byo is a plus along with friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Great for a week night dinner
Fresh, tasty, reasonably priced food and efficient service.
Pleasantly surprised with this little joint. It's no Michellin star but the food was fresh, tasty and the prawns were huge. Great survive too which can be hard to find in this category. Plus it BYO
Friendly Service. The food is ok, but a bit on the expensive side if dining in. We had the stuffed chicken wings, spring rolls, ginger chicken, home style pork clay pot and banana fritter flambé. The dishes we liked the best was the stuffed chicken wings and the banana fritter flambé, the dish that was disappointing was the pork clay pot, this came out lukewarm and was served in a cold casserole dish. The take away prices are considerably cheaper than dine in, so if I lived closer, I would get my take away from here.
Warm and Friendly Atmosphere. Went there on a Friday night with a few friends. It was quite warm inside which was a good contrast to the freezing cold. Whilst waiting for friends to join us we started on a few entrees. Chicken balls were moist and were accompanied with a sweet chilli sauce, good flavours. Loved the coriander and mint. the rice paper rolls also had a really good sauce. Nice to see it was BYO, also very convenient that there was a bottle-o next door.
For mains, the waiter recommended sizzling beef, lemongrass chicken and ginger fish. We accompanied this with the combination fried rice and a pineapple fried rice. This was for 5 people. The wait wasn't too long but the restaurant filled up quite quickly. got really noisy. Good music.
Food was delicious. I am a big fan of the sizzling beef which came out steaming and hot on the hotplate. The pineapple fried rice came in half a pineapple which looked really good.
Service was alright could have been better.
Overall experience was really good, would definitely come back again or even for takeaway.
Maybe for takeaway if you live nearby. Went here with a group of friends who raved about the food. I thought the food was alright but nothing spectacular. We had a number of appetisers, spring rolls, rice paper rolls, fried squid, stuffed chicken wings, none of which stood out for me. I've had better stuffed chicken wings and I thought the squid fritters had too much batter (although the squid was good, not chewy).
Of the dishes we ordered (prawn, lamb, beef and chicken), the sizzling chicken was the one I liked the most (which is a bit ironic considering the other review). Everything else was just ok and not particularly memorable. My partner's comment was that he thought the flavours were more Chinese than Vietnamese.
I did enjoy the dessert - fried ice cream with a choice of sauce - I went for the blueberry which was pretty good, not freshly made but still nice.
The restaurant is pretty small but gets busy, so if you plan to go on a Friday or Saturday night I'd suggest making a booking. Service was pretty good, staff joked along with our friends. Prices were a little high given the quality, but worked out to about $25 per person, and that included all the appetisers (we ordered quite a few), 4 mains, 3 desserts, plus a couple beers and corkage.
