Review Harvest Boulangerie Patisserie - Scarborough

One of the best run coffee shops in Perth. Coffee is on point and the complimentary French muffin on top is perfect. Ambience is lovely even though tiny. The service is impeccable: friendly, efficient and polite. The pastries are to die for… if you’ve never visited you’re in for a treat.

A popular bakery offering some of the best pastries in Perth headed up by a fantastic French pastry chef. Pastries are crisp and flakey, and variety on offer is satisfyingly decadent. You can also get some decent coffee, though seating indoors and out the front is a bit limited for how busy they can get even though most people takeaway.

The best ham & cheese croissants and fruit pastries I've ever had, hands down. Can never go wrong with a choc croissant either, or any of the cabinet selection to be honest. Always fresh, staff are always smiling and friendly, coffee is good - and comes with a nice little almond cake

Words can not express the buttery flaky goodness this beautiful little patisserie provides. The staff are attentive and do not stop in rotation to make sure their customers are served quickly and leave extremely happy. The coffee is great, but the FOOD! the Croissants! My new go to for breakfast or a delicious savoury snack. I am glad I found you! Yet again another visit and another happy customer, if you haven't been down, make it a priority! Everytime I visit Perth, this patisserie is a number 1 priority!

This is such a gem of a place, everything absolutely delicious and well priced. We got there early to pick up some pastries the other day and the line was out the door - super popular and well worth the wait.

Omgad the croissants stay crunchy even after two days! With the layered goodness visibly obvious. Coffee was great too and comes with a crisp on the outside soft and moist on the inside freshly baked mini financier! Their weekdays sandwich were amazing! So blessed to be living so near them. Though they are fairly pricey but it's my favourite coffee spot.

5 stars is not enough for this place. Best … pastries …. EVER! Hands down. We often drive for a half hour to pick up some of their baked goods. Some of our faves are: - the eclairs - ham & cheese croissant (staple of course) - a chocolate mousse cake (AMAZING!) - and one we haven’t seen for a while, the salmon tart. Absolutely delish! Anyway, please don’t change a thing .. your food is sublime and we appreciate it every time we pay you a visit. Thank you 🙏 Arigatou gozaimasu!

Easily the best French style bakery in Perth. Ordered 2 coffees, almond croissant and a ham and cheese croissant. Friendly service even though they’re super busy. Croissants perfectly toasted and lovely sweet sugar notes on the almond croissant without overwhelming your taste buds. Coffees were well made with pleasant flavour and good balance of coffees slight bitterness with milks sweet taste. Excellent value for money. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

I've only ever had 1 thing from here which was the custard tart but it was an amazing experience and I've been craving another one ever since

This is the best croissant that I ever had in Perth and it taste very closed to what I had in France. I hope they can open a store in SOR so that I can get a fresh one for breakfast everyday.

Omg!! Super yummy! We went to there around 9am, so many kind of pastry and bread.
I wanted try everything .
I need this shop close to my house!
Love it!!

First time I went here 2 weeks ago and most pastries were already sold out but luckily was able to grab 3 best ones! They’re made so fresh and soft, with each bite the cream just bursts and mixes in with the fruity berry flavours. It was a delight to the eye and even more great tasting with each bite. Then went there the next morning to get more.

The atmosphere is great and price is reasonable. How I wish the space is bigger for customers to eat. Definitely the best pastry place I’ve been in Perth and staff are Friendly. Would absolutely recommend . Maybe open another branch in Joondalup 😉

All the pastries and breads I've tried here are delicious. They also sell a few filled baguettes which sell quickly for good reason. The coffee used to be really good but for some reason I don't like it anymore - not sure if they've changed beans or baristas. You get a complimentary mini buttery cake with your drinks order which is a nice touch. The shop is tiny and gets very crowded at times with queues out the door. The staff are really friendly and efficient - the holdups occur with people trying to decide what to buy because everything looks so good! There's a few seats available but it can be like eating on a crowded bus at times so I suggest taking your goodies elsewhere.

A small, quaint, no-nonsense croissanterie tucked away in a location in Scarborough that really reminded me of the bakeries I stumbled across in Tokyo subways.
Step into this place and those who have been to Japan will understand what I mean
The key difference is that whoever is making these croissants take their craft seriously and still have the heart to keep prices fair, and affordable for the product they have.
For what they give in terms of offering a traditionally-made croissant, and focusing on a small range of products, I’m actually secretly glad Harvest hasn’t reached superstar status (which keeps silly crowds away) like Lune in Melbourne for example.
For great, crisp, balanced pastry, excellent pricing and a bit of Nihon Nostalgia, come to Harvest.
Best ham and cheese croissants in Perth! You need some luck to get them as they sale out as soo as they’re out of the oven or even before! The ones just out of the oven are something else, so good!
The baguettes just out of the oven are amazing too! I usually can’t wait and just bite them plain!

The staff are very efficient, even when they packed busy they’re friendly and quick. Wish more places would learn from them!

Popped into here and ordered a take away iced latte. It was delicious and came with a little baked treat, which was also scrumptious. Service was friendly and prompt.

I love the croissants especially the almond croissant. The mocha was jus amazing. I would love to come here often BUT its always so crowded and the Service is quite SLOW. So if you are dropping by just before work, not the place to go! Only reason for me to be giving it a 4 star. They should really consider working people.

Fantastic quality and delicious croissants. Be prepared to take out a bank loan if you wish to purchase a loaf of sourdough bread however. At $13 a loaf I nearly had a coronary! It's the most I have ever paid for a loaf of bread anywhere in the world!!!
DforDee
Their yuzu lemon tart leaves you wanting more! I love it. Highly recommend it. I also had the almond croissant. Good! I would definitely pop back in if I'm in the area.

If you're looking for an authentic French patisserie (i.e. not an Aussie bakery with a swanky name), then this is the place.

It can get busy on weekend mornings, often with a queue coming out the door, but that's testament to how good the food is.
Mitch The Foodie
Delicious coffee, sweets and savoury. This has everything you need for your morning coffee run with extras! Love the little muffin you get with your coffee. 10/10 would go again. Keep in mind this place is popular so it’s very busy. However, their service is very quick!

Great baked goods , good coffee.
Downside- they only accept cash 💰 one wonders why ...............................................,,..........................................................................

The opening hours for this fantastic bakery are different to the hours listed on Zomato.
The patisserie currently opens early and closes at 3:30 pm on week days. In the mornings the car park is usually full.
The plain croissant lasted as far as my car. Delicious. The almond croissant and peach Danish were lovely too, particularly the latter which wasn’t too sweet, and was so fresh!
Good coffee rounded out a great experience. I’ll be back. In the early morning. They take credit cards.

Ever since we discovered this place, i've been back every weekend! The pastries are freshly made. They only take cash unfortunately.
There is always a queue out the door when I get there.

A small range range of pastries, one table inside and outside, so mainly for takeaways. chicken/avocado/sun dried tomato; ham&cheese; smoked salmon rolls available around noon but sell out quick. Raspberry and custard danish is my favorite. They are cash only as at time of this review (Aug 2017). Rather annoyingly they have no sign up warning you of this fact.

Quite possibly the best Ham & Cheese Croisants in the world (big call I know), only problem everyone is catching on! I love this bakery, just traditional good loaves and always a line out the door...mainly for the coffee...would be good if they had a separate line for the coffee so I can get stuck in to the croissants quicker!
OnePointFive
First time we went there a couple of years ago, nothing much left hence we didnt buy anything. Second time, they're not open. Third visit wasnt planned but turns out good as they still have a lot of pastries available. My friend said her Tiramisu Danish was great. I had Raspberry Yuzu Danish and it's truly amazing. I'll go back to try others for sure.

This small corner shop is a popular spot in north of perth and it shows because of its queue coming out the door! They serve Mano Mano coffee that tastes exceptional and it comes with a cute little friand. The croissants are so cheap, fresh and that right amount of butter and crunch. I wished I live closer so I could have my croissant fix everyday!
Arale-chan
Quality baked goods, croissant as good as the ones you get from Paris. Limited seats and long queue because all the products are really delicious
Steffen
Yummy bread&pastries, good coffee and friendly staff. Only downside - the queues are really long on weekends but that speaks for itself ;-) highly recommended!

March ‘18
Still my fave coffee place. They make the best almond long macs and take card payments now

29/5/17
Returned again yesterday and they are still wonderful and very well priced! Greeted by lovely staff on a Sunday arvo. Tried a chocolate eclair that was to die for and a small flat white which was superb. Sat at the window in the sun....perfection.

DEC 2016
Just dropped in for a takeaway coffee and wow the place was busy! After waiting a short while I ordered a long mac topped up which came with a delicious small friand (almond cake) on top. It was pretty special. I also couldn't resist a small Citron Tart ($2.50) which cost me in total only $7! Service was very friendly and my coffee was ready pretty quickly. They sell fresh baguettes for $4 which were flying out the door. Lots of large fresh sourdough ciabatta breads on offer for around $6- $7 including an olive one which looked delicious. They are cash only so I was relieved to find cash in my wallet for a change. Looking forward to heading back and introducing my friends. I am a huge fan of Chu but I feel this place may be my cheaper patisserie alternative.

This is by far my favourite bakery in Perth now ! Love the small little shop tucked away in the corner of the street. The texture and taste of the pastry is on point !! Love the danish , yuzu and raspberry pastry and also the baguette ! Also, the staffs there are so friendly too ! Will be back often ! :)

Best coffee around and all food is Devine. Baguettes are fantastic along with all their freshly baked dough loaves, ham and cheese croissants still hot out of the oven. Raspberry and cinnamon danish are amazingly addictive. These guys can do no wrong. The staff are always friendly and accomodating. Pricing very fair but cash only.

We couldn't resist to come to try out the patisserie of this shop just after having our brunch next door.
Nice patisserie and great coffee at this place. We also get a mini muffin with each coffee we ordered.
Very busy little shop especially toward mid day with hardly any seats and table inside and outside.
Marina Antich
Love this place
They have such amazing pastries
Awesome coffee , short macchiato (my fave) accompanied with one of there delicious cakes
Highly recommend this place
Foodie Fella
Always a queue at this place, and rightly so! There is not a bad pastry here, and its nice to recieve a complimentary mandeleine with each coffee. Friendly staff. Will recommend to others.
Amber
I love this place. The pastries are amazing! Everything I have had from here is good. The staff are lovely and it is cool to see the baker and baking happening right in front of you. You get a delicious mini muffin with every coffee order. Very well priced too. Can get busy in the morning coffee run time so sometimes wait 10-15mins.
Bring back the sausage croissant Please!

AU Bon appetit.........Best baguette and croissant in town.......Taste like you're in France, absolutely Divine! Very friendly Japanese staff. You need to try your self, how amazing this patisserie is. Highly recommended!

We used to go there about twice a week. But now, it's been few months we noticed that recipes have changed.
The Pain au Chocolat are smaller than before but at the same price, salt & truffle baguette doesn't even taste salt, and even less truffle! And coffee is just awful. Service is very average, the ladies try their best and are very nice, but their English is just so bad. And last time I went there I didn't check what she put in my bag and just opened it when I got home...
I would still go there to get my simple baguette but it's just a shame to see that what was special about that place (to me was the salt&truffle) is not special anymore.
Pleeeeease guys get it back like it used to be :(

We stopped into Harvest on the way back from the beach on a Friday morning and they had plenty of eager customers. This small little shop bakes in store using traditional methods and after biting in to one of their apple Danishes; you are transported to Paris.... Absolutely Devine! The takeaway coffee was good, but the wee little sugar muffin it comes with is worth the price alone 👍. We'll definitely be back for our artisan bread. Sadly I left my phone at home so no photos...

Wanted to get some lunch here at 1pm on a Wednesday, but there was not much left. We took a baguette fresh from the oven, which was really nice, fluffy on the inside, crisp on the outside. The lady serving us didn't really speak English. When she was working out the back she touches everything with her hands (which I don't mind), but when she came up the front she used tongs. I thought that was a bit strange.

As someone had already mentioned, croissants are amazing, coffee good and the staff are friendly and take notice. My weekend is not complete without a visit.
The ham and cheese croissants are AMAZING, so good I haven't yet tried any of the other delicious treats as I can't go past them. Get in early as they do run out.

Despite having just had lunch at the Hardware Store Cafe a couple of doors away I couldn't resist getting a citron tart and a strawberry custard tart from this tiny little patisserie. The pastry on both was delicate and crisp, fillings light and delicious. A loaf of sourdough rye was dense and full flavoured - it's not a loaf for the faint hearted and was worth every cent.

The shelves were a little bare mid-afternoon on Saturday - there were a few tempting looking pastries on offer but it appeared that most of their wares had sold out. I'm assuming this means that the other goods they offer are as delicious as those I tried.
