Review Monty's - Scarborough

Mine and my partners favourite place for breakfast! Great vegan options, cute cafe style, quick service, very friendly staff! Seating outdoor and indoor!

Best place for breakfast in the area I’ve found so far! I’ve had the Nasi goreng which was delicious and the scrambled eggs. The cold pressed juice is a must try I got the detox juice and I’ve tried the breakfast smoothie with a shot of coffee which was a meal on its own. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is pleasant. I also bought some of their granola to take home they had samples on the counter and I couldn’t resist. Will definitely be back.

Spent three weeks in Scarborough and had coffee here every single day. Love the environment and the food. AND they have bonsoy. made me feel like Melbourne by the beach. <3 Thank you for your amazing service

Food and coffee was great. The egg soldiers on the kids menu was a big hit with the little one and pretty healthy option too.

Has lots of vegetarian and vegan options! The coffee was lovely and I love the casual beach vibe, it is a little on the expensive side but its food is definitely worth it

Always liked this place but today disappointed for the first time. Food wasn't nice and was cold. Vegetables not fresh.

My favourite place at the moment. Food is healthy and amazing. Great coffee, friendly staff....i drive all the way from Mundaring, but must say it is worth the trip.

Been a Scarborough local for a number of years and have struggled to find a good breakfast along the beachfront since Boho closed down. Enter Monty's Cafe, great coffee, great food, friendly service and a personal feel to the place. The thai chilli scramble on pumpkin bread is amazing! My new regular!

Thanks for the service guys, I appreciate how attentive you were concidering how busy it was. I thought it was a lovely menu and I was excited to have found huevos rancheros for breakfast! Topping it off my coffee was smooth and creamy, great presentation too!

Awesome food! Been twice now, loved the sweet potato zucchini breaky! Tasted the nasigoreng too & the Thai scramble! All delish!! Lovely staff too! Ohh & the ginger turmeric orange juice was delish too!

We came in for breakfast this morning and were pleasantly surprised. The meals were beautiful and the coffee was amazing!

Totally disappointed in my scrambled eggs! The eggs were over cooked, they were super oil and had a weird taste. I never thought something so basic could be messed up! My husband had poached eggs and they were fine.

Scarborough Locals so have been to Montys a few times and enjoyed it. <br/>Today was very different. I always order the Bircher Muesli - wasn’t on the menu today however my partner asked at the counter if they were still doing it to which we were told a simple yes - based on that he ordered. What arrived for our ‘dine in’ Sunday breakfast was a plastic takeaway bowl with half an orange, two strawberries and the worst muesli I have ever had! So disappointing as this used to come ‘dine in’ with lots of fruit etc etc !! I get that’s one people want takeaway hit when my partners meal is very clearly dine in why was mime not served that way and at the same time ?? <br/><br/>Such a disappointing Sunday breakfast and needless to say we won’t be back. <br/><br/>Must say - partners Chilli Scramble was great but the whole place needs an organisation and communication overhaul to keep loyal customers !

I loved the Huevos Rancheros with spicy beans, avo, eggs sour cream and toast!! Also very good coffee with great late art!! The best breakfast in Scarborough so far! 😋

DO NOT GO HERE<br/><br/> the food here is excellent, beautifully presented, healthy and absolutely delicious. coffee is smooth and delicious too. very disappointed by the service.<br/><br/>EDIT: came back for the very last time. service was absolutely atrocious. me and my friend ordered takeaway and were subsequently judged for doing so. i ordered a coffee with lite milk (which the cashier repeated back to me), but when i returned the full fat coffee i was met with a snarky response that “it wasn’t put through the till.” <br/>i was then again judged for ordering a salad without mayo, told it would be “plain” which i found pretty rude. the salad i received was not plain, but overwhelmingly salty and the coffee that i received was so hot i couldn’t hold it without burning my hands. the food is fine and the coffee is nice but i urge anyone to stay away from this cafe. no matter the quality of food, service at such an appallingly low standard makes this cafe one of the worst i have been to. save your money, go to literally any other cafe along the new strip where you will i doubt be treated with respect (like a paying customer) instead of scum who dares walk into a cafe and order what they want to eat/drink. shocked at the number of reviews praising the service here. the red head should be fired.

Popped into Montys on a Saturday morning. It was packed! We were unable to get a table, so we just ordered take aways drinks and sat by the ocean. Service was friendly and prompt. Good coffee too. Will return.
