Review Pizzaca Caffe - Scarborough

What a great breakfast! Egg & bacon toasted Sambo, that was full of bacon! With 2 fried eggs! Amazing to know that all items on the menu are available for take away, the coffee is great and the staff are super friendly! The Super Breakfast Smoothie was full of refreshing flavours and honestly is a meal in itself! Thanks for a great breakfast! The Pizzaca Caffe also offers an amazing cake fridge full of beautifully baked goods and sandwiches!! Beautiful food and fast service!

Had a great time - definitely worth a visit. I was impressed the the pizzaca (prawn) pizza and the exceptional service from my server - I was told her name is Alia - went above and beyond and made my experience that much better!

Not as good as it used to be. For years this place was my go to for delicious pizza. I’m not sure why they reduced their menu and changed the bases. A few of the amazing pizzas they used to sell have gone from the menu. The bases aren’t as good as they once were. $28 for a pizza, I expect more. There’s better wood fired pizza available in Scarborough.

We are Pizzaca regulars and you can’t find better pizza in Perth. The new menu and bar area did not disappoint and exceeded our expectations by far! We rocked up without a booking and the staff were very accommodating and friendly as always. Delicious wine and cocktails, and the new entrees were divine. Already can’t wait to go back! Thanks for having us Pizzaca gang 👍

A local favourite for many years now. Service is always attentive, and staff are so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and lunch menu is delicious and simple. Coffee is always wonderful as well. Their pizzas are my favourite in Perth and you can BYO if you dine in. Always 5 stars.

Unfortunately not as good as it used to be. Used to be regular customers then after renovations the menu changed, pasta was under seasoned, the salad which allegedly had pear, rocket, blue cheese, and walnut only had rocket, walnut and feta and was very dry. Staff were standing around in the kitchen with no one interested enough to check on our table. Very disappointing and unfortunate.

Giving 2 stars mainly for the friendly staff - this restaurant used to be very nice, however we tried it last night after the renovations and new menu and it was a huge disappointment- would definitely not be returning. The $18.00 for 3 small arancinis- came out cold inside. Then got another batch which was slightly better but still not warm enough. The bruschetta was nice. Prawn pizza which we got had several prawns which were not cleaned properly…a bit of a letdown. The squid ink scallops pasta was very blend, not much flavour and was also lacking salt. Either they change their head chef or maybe someone was having an off night. It is not very good value for money at all for the quality we got.

Great service, relatively well priced and nice ambience, but the food just lacked flavour. We had the bread with crab for entree and it was delicious. We burn our mouths eating est but we didn't care because it was so good, we just kept going for more. However, sadly things went downhill from here. We had gnocchi with pesto and hazelnut. By reading that it sounds like an explosion of flavour. But it was the opposite. I was wondering if I had COVID because I couldn't taste any pesto or hazelnuts at all. It was an extremely bland flavour. We then had the underbelly Pizza with anchovies and prosciutto. And even though the crust was perfect, there were so many toppings and they just didn't work well with each other. It was like when you go to the frozen yoghurt store and add too many toppings so that you get something that tastes like none of them. For dessert we were looking forward for the tiramisú or the sticky date pudding, but they didn't have either. So we went for an apple crumble but it was lacking crumble. The apple and the sauces tasted great but there was not nearly enough crunch. Once in a while you'd get a bit of crumble and realise how good this dish could be if there was more of it. Lastly, if you are planning to use the Entertainment Book discount, be aware that it applies only to pasta dishes. This is not mentioned on the T&C's of the offer. It's not a deal breaker because the dishes are very well priced, but they should remove the offer entirely as it feels like false advertising. The service was great throughout the night, though; so in the end we did enjoy ourselves but probably won't be coming back. Might stick to just ordering pizzas for takeaway.
