1st time dining there and it was really nice, dim lighting (romantic) food was so delicious and soooo much of it. Took home a doggy bag enough for another meal.
Will definitely be eating there again, price pretty good too.
Quite busy for a Tuesday night.

Reminds me of food from back home. Service is great and food is better than Papa Rich.
Very nice food and great service. Menu prices quite affordable and meals are a good size. Thanks.
Authentic Malaysian food. Had a variety of dishes and all were good. Desserts are excellent.
Been back 3 times already.
Love the food, authentic malaysia food, recommended fried kwee tiaw and fried rice
The best soft shell crab in the burbs !!!!! Great feed always
Love this restaurant, delicious food, excellent service and how many places know you by your name and recognise your voice on the phone. They know what we want but occasionally we'll get them to choose a dish/dishes for us and they have never disappointed. We love going to Cinta Raya, it has become our second home - Hello from Miss Nella
Ordered yin yeong and nasi lemak for lunch takeaway. The lady said they make a bihun in a bird nest shape and pack it nicely in a separate bag. When I open the containers surprised to see there's also hor fun in the egg sauce. Thought it will be greasy with the fried bihun but it's not, surprisingly very light. The sauce is also just nice, not salty as you would have tasted at other places. Will be back to try their other specials.
Excellent service by Shirley. Her customer service with our group as well as others was exceptional; she takes the time to engage with customers and knows her regulars well. The presentation of some food items were also interesting, such as the hor fun. We found the food tasty. As the restaurant is quite small I have been told that they do chase you out during the lunch rush but we were lucky that it was quiet today. Price wise they are a bit on the higher side compared to other similar restaurants in the area.
Had dinner here last night with a friend after not having dined here for more than a year even though I live just 5 mins away. Was very impressed that the food quality has definitely improved over the past year. Will definitely be back. Food is very authentic Malaysian .. well done Shirley
Always busy! Lots of Malaysians come here so you know it's good.
Lady at the register is very friendly, still made conversation with me even though the restaurant was frantic.
10/10 one of the most authentic Malaysian restaurants you can find in Melbourne.
Wow, I was in the area and dropped by for takeaway lunch and the food was really good! I got the beef fried hor fun (flat rice noodles) and the taste was amazing - a good wok taste, nice ginger flavour (which is not that usual for this dish but it worked well), beef was tender and delicious. And at $9.90 for the lunch special it was totally worth the money.
Staff were casual and friendly. Food was out quick as well - I probably only waited for 5 minutes at most. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area again.
FAST Food Review
Food: Always tasty especially the Cinta 138 = Black Pepper Chicken or Beef with Rice. The assortment of Malaysian desserts like Gandung, Bubur Chacha and my personal favourite Sago Pudding are Yum! - 4/5
Ambience: Comfy atmosphere with lighting and music to match - 4/5
Service: Shirley is always very welcoming and remembers customers by name and our favourite dishes. Plus you’ll get sold the odd Mooncake or Takeaway dessert while you’re there - 4/5
Total: Can’t fault the Food, Ambience or Service - 12/15
I'm a regular here for Mi Goreng, they do it properly with the right mix of bits and pieces. Good service, good prices. I sort of just kept going here after it changed from the small Sushi cafe run by Sam (?) to the current Restaurant. Has a really good selection of dishes, all prepared authentically. Mi Goreng is my go-to but I also enjoy the Nasi Lemak and Char Kuay Teow from Cinta Raya.
The fourth time I have eaten at this restaurant and have never been disappointed.
We had a table for 11 and a big spread of food including calamari, fried rice, chicken, beef, satay sticks.
Really enjoyed the food as usual. The restaurant is a little bit cramped and noisy but this is also part of its character. Service was great as usual.
Will definitely return when I am on this side of town again.
Cinta Raya is a hidden gem in Scoresby. Having been there twice now, we have been really impressed both times. On this visit I really want to call out the absolutely wonderfully fresh fish dish in Soy sauce. Beautifully cooked firm and tender and fresh fish.
Everything else was very good too and the service is first rate.
An extremely busy place, it is quite small so plan ahead when you want to go.
If you go there, look for Shirley! She will happily tell you what's best and recommend dishes to suit your preferences. What a lovely person!
Value for money is excellent too.
Hkghly recommended!
Small restaurant tuck away next to Safeway. Good long menu to choose mostly anything you want from a Malaysian restaurant. Our group tried Hainanese chicken rice with boneless chicken, Char Hor Fun and Salted fish Fried Beehoon. Every dish was very nice especially the beehoon which got the 'wok hei' taste. Will definitely go back again when visiting relatives over there.
beautiful service by the staff. So attentive and fast service. Lemon chick was awesome and a great fried rice. Yummo. A little noisy as it is on the small side but the food is awesome.
Most of their dishes has that authentic Malaysian taste. The best dish to order in my opinion is the Char Kway Teow. Their takeaway option and location is very convenient for us (locals) to grab a quick and tasty dinner for those nights when we can't be bothered cooking :)
This place is the best! Always very consistent very fair price. It is extremely popular with all the locals. I recommend the fried kuay teow.
Very good authentic Malaysian food. reasonably priced with high quality product. cannot recommend high enough. i have converted many friends into regulars.
Good, local Malaysian/Asian restaurant.
Friendly service and great food!
Some dishes better than others but nothing that would deter me from returning!
Cinta Raya is located amidst the Scoresby Village Shopping Centre, next to Woolworths. The dining area is quite small, but quite spacious. It was quiet when we arrived, but the restaurant had only just opened half an hour before. The lighting was quite dim, so they appear closed from the outside. It didn’t help that Mother Nature decided to darken her skies and start raining.
Check out the review of Cinta Raya Restaurant in the blog post below.
An unexpectedly and authentically good Malaysian restaurant! Char kuay teow is yummy enough that I'm tagging this place to satisfy my future CKT cravings. J's lemon chicken was good enough for him too - so he'd better join me on my next foray here. He also had his usual Malaysian appetizer of sweet corn & egg drop soup. I tried a couple of curry puffs - the only disappointment here. The filling was decent but the puff itself is not the typical folded buttered dough. For dessert - fried banana ala mode! Can't go wrong with that.
Excellent food always , without a doubt , my fave place. Also reasonable ,food looks good and well presented and tasty,... yum.
And if Shirley is there , you will be in for a smile and welcome.......
Popped in for lunch with the wife on a Wednesday after reading good reviews on this place. We were not disappointed as the food was delicious and plentiful . Service was fast and friendly and reasonably priced. I feel this will become a
place that we will frequent regularly . A++
Very Good Malaysian food, almost perfect ambience and very good customer service. Late dinner no problem. I always recommend this restaurant to both my Asian, European and Aussie friends.👍👍👍👍👍
La Ola Es Mia Cocina.

Hidden Treasure,. I have been coming to Cinra Raya since 2010.
In that time I have taken many friends and family here whom enjoy the food just as much as I do.
I have tried at least 30+ items off the menu now and it's truly hard to describe on what I like best.
I live in Sadringham now so it's not as easy to travel to like it was when I lived in Ferntree Gully.
But the trip is worth it !
The other day I took my mother here for her 69th birthday and she thoroughly enjoyed the food and it was her first experience of having Malaysian cuisine.
All and all I really love this place and the intimate setting it has going for it and would highly recommend for those going on a romantic date night to try Cinta Raya out.
A massive shout out to all the friendly staff here also.
Cinta Raya is located amidst the Scoresby Village Shopping Centre, next to Woolworths. I was here last month for a lunch visit (see here) and decided to pay another visit and try other menu items.
Cinta Raya is located amidst the Scoresby Village Shopping Centre, next to Woolworths. The dining area is quite small, and the waitresses (there were only 2 present when I visited) were very friendly. The meals were ordered and delivered promptly, which makes for a great lunch visit if you have limited time.
Not bad for Malaysian food in the area. Only downside is that on Father's Day they offered free dessert. However, despite booking a table they 'ran out' and didn't even bother to compensate with something else. They shouldn't have advertised the offer if they didn't expect to keep their word. Really tainted the overall experience...so for better customer service I'd venture else where in Clayton or wantirna
Perfect place for every day work lunch!. I have been working around this area for 3 years now. I was always struggling to find nice Asian restaurant for my work lunch (I am a big Asian food lover). With the $10 price I would like to pay for my work lunch every day, generally I only can get noodles, fried rice in the take away noodle bars around this area. The noddle bars are more for take away food and never have nice environment for you to sit down to eat. Plus, I do not want noodle and fried rice! In an Asian eyes, they are like instant noodle, not a proper lunch.
Luckily, today, I find this nice restaurant, nice environment, table service and tea, around $10 lunch menu with plenty of choices, delicious food, friendly staff. OMG, finally I feel I have a nice place for my work lunch now after working around this area for 3 years! I feel I have to write all these words down and recommend all the Asian friends working around this area try this restaurant. You may have the same problem like me before, but now your problem is solved! I brought their lunch menu back and put it on my company's fridge! I want all my Asian friends in this company try it!
They are open for dinner as well. Good price, clean, tidy and nice environment, new tables, plates and glasses, yummy food. Loved it, loved it, loved it!!!
Awesome !! Taste , fresh , fast service , huge serves great value !!!!!!
Great authentic Malaysian food.. This is the regular place to eat nearly every Saturday for my entire family. Chef and owner were from Malaysia, and has kept the food as authentic as home. Serving size and taste is fantastic. Price is of great value. My two picky daughters' favourite is the soft shelf crab. I personally like the nasi lemak, hokkien fried noodle and crispy chicken rice. On Saturday they even gave the Tofu Fa as dessert for free. Highly recommended.
The best curry laksa, hands down, in scoresby. Food is always consistently good. I eat here on a weekly basis and have never had a bad dish. Would not hesitate to recommend. Try it you won't be disappointed.
A most enjoyable meal with friendly service. We were invited by family who had eaten here before. My wife and I have travelled through various parts of Asia and we both agreed that the meals at Cinta Raya were very close to what you would expect overseas.
Not a large restaurant by any means but nice decor gave it a nice ambience combined with great friendly service made the dinner a very enjoyable experience.
My wife really enjoyed the Beef Rendang and I thoroughly enjoyed the soft shelled crab, with both these dishes being the Chefs specialties.
We were so impressed that we are about to book for a family birthday dinner for 10 people. Can't wait to get back to try more of the dishes on their extensive menu.
I would definitely recommend you try Cinta Raya for yourself and make your own decisions.
Reviews are quite accurate. Nice Malaysian style restaurant with a simple yet modern fit out. Lighting is a bit dim but not that much of an issue. Food is good qaulity and decent portions which is filling. Would definitely come back.
A really good feed. Had the chilli prawns and beef rendang. Big serves, really well cooked. Not the cheapest Malaysian around, but well worth the trip. Will be back.
The most authentic Malaysian/Singaporean cuisine in Melbourne. Reasonable price. Nice balachan chilly.
Great Food. Visited Cinta Raya for the first time last week. Great food, well done. Worth giving it a go. Support your local restaurants
Came recommended and on arrival, it was full of Asians. Must be good. Menu is great, service is quick and friendly, the way I like it, and food is reasonable. Overall not a bad surburban eatery
Great value and tasty. We were there for lunch and ordered nasi lemak, chow hor fun (egg based) and spring rolls. It was really delicious and great value. Every second table order chow hor fun too, so it must be their specialty. Service was prompt and efficient. They even had red beans for dessert (free). Will definitely be going back. After lunch you can pop into 2 chinese groceries up the road to stock up on more goodies which is what we did. They are alot bigger than the usual asian groceries. Now there is a reason for us to go to Scoresby!!
if you are ever around Scoresby, craving for Malaysian food or you just feel like trying a new place, check out Cinta Raya!! You definitely won't regret it! :) IF you're thinking of visiting during the weekends, best to call ahead and make reservations as Aunt Shirley mentioned, it gets VERY packed on weekends especially dinner time!
Cinta Raya doesn’t stray too far from the normal Malaysian/Chinese cuisine, but what it does do, is cook delicious food for everyone to enjoy. It’s a popular restaurant, be warned, it is a small place. It can only fit under 10 tables, so either get it quick or you just might have to wait. Both their lunch and main meals are great, with a few low notes, but overall, I’d give Cinta Raya an overwhelmingly positive review.
Update: I am addicted to food in thus restaurant! Best Malaysian ever!!!
Thanks, Shirley and boys!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Trying out this place despite remarks of bad service attitude. It seems to be the norm for chinese older generation to speak a bit more brusquely. The lady was answering the phone, cleaning, serving, taking orders - all by herself. I can understand her “grumpiness”.
She was actually quite motherly towards us, suggesting the 4 Heavenly Kings to accompany our order of Nyonya barramundi. They were both delicious. I couldn’t stop tucking into the okra, brinjal, petai and long beans. Barramundi was cooked to perfection and went so well with the nyonya style gravy.
I absolutely recommend this place to those who want to try authentic Malaysian cooking. Shirley is lovely.
Seems their signature dish is Hainanese chicken Rice. Will try another time, cos I’ll be back!
It's a very good day. Good chat with Shieley about her business. Food retail is tough. Glad that they are doing well. Nice Haninese chicken rice. It is their classic signature dish.
Reasonably priced for a quick Malaysian fix! Food came out in 15 minutes. I ordered the roasted hainanese chicken rice which was not bad. The soft shell crab was good though! Overall the meal was satisfying. By the time we finished the restaurant was full of people so make sure to book ahead.
The best laksa in Australia.. all their food is fantastic, such a great place to eat …. Totally my favourite
Made a booking for 4. Arrived at the Restaurant. Given a terrible table near the kitchen. Not happy.
However the Hostess was able to turn it around. Shifted our table. AND experienced delightful food and service. Will return soon.
