Review The Riviera Hotel - Seaford

Had a beautiful dinner there tonight, the lady running the show was amazing! Still great customer service no matter how busy it got. The food was great the curry and Parma was delicious and my daughters veg with chicken nuggets was super fresh. Great kids room also. Will be back!

Everything about this place is amazing from the friendly staff to the beautiful food. Highly recommend stopping past for a beer and feed

Look forward to coming to The Riv almost each week. All the staff are lovely and Emma in the restaurant has been exceptional with our group. The young lady in the pokie area always has a bright inviting manner as well. Importantly, the food is good value and good quality. Thank you guys. Happy customer.

Very impressed with the updated decor. Ample parking and pleasant staff. New chef new menu. The lunch we had was delightful all freshly cooked and not microwaved. I couldn't find anything to winge about not even the prices.

Popped in here with a mate. It was fairly late, around 1am but the Pokies are open until about 4am. The entry was locked & it took a few minutes to be let in. I'm not sure what the Manager was doing when we arrived but he didn't seem pleased about us being there. He mumbled something & gestured towards a table that had a sign in book & qr code, then shoufled away without me knowing what he wanted me to do so I stood there. He came back & asked why I hadn't signed in & I said I thought we weren't doing that anymore. He replied "Well we're still doing it here". We had a drink & left shortly after. To his benefit, the Manager was a lot more pleasant when as we were walking out. He smiled & wished us a good night. I guess he has to deal with some difficult patrons working after midnight but that's part of the job, as is greeting Customers as they arrive.

Lovely atmosphere, food nice & not too pricey. Had a lovely time.

A bit shabby out front but the Riv bistro served good honest pub food reasonably priced in a friendly atmosphere. Perfect!

3/11/19 Ordered the Seafood Platter for two.  Delivered within 15 minutes and both diners agreed the best Seafood Platter for many a year.  The seafood was fresh, well presented and excellently prepared and cooked.  We eat regularly on Friday Nights and Sunday dinners and no Seafood Platter from Chelsea to Mornington has ever deserved more than a 3.5 rating in the past three years.  Well done to the chefs and crew at the Riviera Hotel.

Really nice pub food and very big serves. One child’s meal can feed both of my kids. We went with a group of 4 adults and 3 kids and everyone was happy with their meals.

Enjoy coming here with mates, sometimes with family for occasions. Very good sized meals. Carbonara comes with salad which i think is weird but i love it. Always had friendly service and enjoyed the food.

We love the atmosphere, staff and especially the food! Plus there's a kid's playground too! Great for the whole family and awesome place to hold celebrations!

Great Food! They have a special Monday to Wednesday nights, great value for money. The steaks are wonderfully cooked, rare is true rare steak! Floor stadd could probably be more attentive, those who serve behind the bar are very attentive.

The riv always a good feed in the sports bar staff are great always nice good to go down with the family or friends and have dinner.

Had a lovely meal here. It was fairly busy but we didn't have to wait an unreadable time for our meal. Enjoyed our time here and will return another time.

Been eating and drinking here for over 10 years and they havent missed a beat in that time.. fast service.. great meals.. Rcommend the parmas, ribs and the salmon

Awful!!!!. I had the casaer salad with chicken was awful tasteless. i could hardly see the sauce amongst the lettuce chicken was not seasoned and like i said tasteless . crotons just opened from a carton no seasoning at all just plain tasteless crotons. this dish was fit for the rubbish bin. i will never go back here for a meal

A regular for me and my man , great food , casual relaxed atmosphere , best steak just do something about your dessert choices !

Fabulous - but bring back the bread roll!!. I come here most Sunday's with my boyfriend. We normally eat in the bar as the meals are cheaper and that is all we are after. The menu is great, so much variety and reasonably priced! Meals are delicious! The atmosphere is great, the staff are always friendly and the place is always buzzing. The vibe is that of an old fashioned country pub, where not everybody knows your name! Would recommend to everyone. They just need to bring back the complementary bread rolls that come with meals - as it is something that isn't seen too often these days.

Inconsistent and stingy. Been here twice. Both times were extremely disappointed by the steak. Asked for medium rare and got either charcoal or charcoal on the outside but raw on the inside. The vegetables were stingy, consisting of one piece of carrot, one broccoli floret and a corn cob.<br/><br/>Will not be coming back.

Spendid. This quiet little pub has little more than a Bistro and a Pokies area, and fortunately for us, it is just down the road. The food is well-worth the visit, and is a cut above normal pub grub. I had mouth-watering steak for my meal and my wife had a seafood extravaganza. Try it.

I paid $$22.90 today for a chicken cesar salad . A watery egg, no anchovies and no Parmesan . A tiny salad and was so very basic. Would not recommend this hotel if you weren't eating from the seniors menu for $14.90 . Very over priced and very basic salad . Not to mention we waited over twenty mins for two salads .

Great old fashioned pub, basic fare that tastes good which is what I like about the place. Gets booked out on a regular basis, that says it all really.

Didn't expect anything too fancy, essentially upscale pubgrub with a fairly nice atmosphere. Walked in to find screaming babies and a below average looking menu with above average prices. Turned around and left. I couldn't even subject myself to an evening there

Family went out for dinner last night. I ordered the ribs. Magnificent - meat melted in my mouth. Other meals looked great too- Chicken Parma, Steak(lamb rump), Chilli Prawns, Calamari, Salmon and kids Fish & Chips looked good and the Pizza was huge! Great food. We'll be back, no problems.

Always on point. The Riviera Hotel is consistently good with their meals. The kitchen is a well oiled machine and for the last 5 years I've been dining there it has never failed to serve up anything that's not great tasting and also value for money. It's a pub so anyone with that wants to make comparisons to a 5 star experience is pissing on their own shoes. It's a pub and by today's standards they make some of the best pub food you're likely to find. The Honey-Chili lamb ribs are the staple feature on the menu. The place is worth trying for anyone local or anyone passing through on their way to the peninsula. Highly recommended!

What a shame used to have the best steaks at great prices last three times very ordinary thought it might have been a one off but they have obviously changed suppliers restaurant area is fine but public bar has become very feral again I wouldn't take kids rest of menu is ok and cheap but used to love the steaks there not anymore

Good classic pub food with a modern twist. Large meals, lots of choice and accommodating to vegetarians. Choice of restaurant or bar meal areas. Friendly staff & good locals. I'm quite fussy but more than happy to have a pub meal here!

Yummy and Affordable. Food there is consistently good. Its famous for its steaks, seafood dishes and lamb racks!
