Review Austin Rd Fish & Chips - Seaford

Fast delivery, but it also showed fast isn't always best. Fish was absolutely perfect, but potato cakes were cooked to long, whilst chips were undercooked/seasoned, and the Calamari whilst tender, was a soggy, undercooked mess! Have bought from them before, and it was good, so worth trying again??? Maybe a rushed night??

Just awesome, I bought a chicken burger with the lot and I loved every bite. It’s so good to see proper owners running it now!!! takes me back to the old days.

Ordered a burger from here a while back! Can honestly say it’s the best burger I’ve had from a fish n chip shop in years the beef patty tasted real wasn’t rushed so everything tasted good!

We have ordered from here on multiple times and each time they miss something off our order and then we are expected to pay another delivery fee which they try to make it better with soft drink. Tonight I ordered at 5.30pm and it's now 7.25pm and we are still waiting on the rest of our order. When the burgers finally arrived they were cold and tasted sour. They also didn't send the "free " soft drink. My husband called and spoke to the owner and was told his business is doing well and he didn't need our business. An arrogant man who has zero customer service.

My in laws had Austin Road Fish and Chips at our place last night and they were rapt! Said it was the best flake and chips they'd had in a long time. My niece had recently been on a holiday in Portarlington and said that Austin Road was even better than the fresh fish there. We're lucky to have you as our local fish and chips. �

Worst fish and chips I’ve had, chips taste like they were 2 days old. Scallops were tiny and burnt. Disappointed as we don’t have a decent one in our area. Tried for the first time, won’t be going again.

Found a bone in my scallops. The scallops were also tiny, chips not cooked properly and fish was cold. Won’t be going back. Very disappointed.

Absolutely love the food- best fish and chips (and burgers) in the area!! Only problem is, if you're gonna be closed for a public holiday, or similar, use your Facebook page to tell your customers! Tried calling for 10 minutes before giving up and going to pizza hut... Very disappointing when I really wanted your delicious fried flake.

So very disappointing, we had beautiful hand cut chips and wonderful fish just after you opened. Tonight when my husband brought the food in the chips and potato cakes were not fresh and hand cut as advertised and my lamb souvlaki was inedible. Will definitely NOT be coming back.

Absolutely best food in town and beyond.. Cooked the way Fish 'N' Chip should be "The old school way!!! The beautiful clean oil taste is spot on � I now am addicted to their battered Mars-bars !! Hat off to Spiro and his father!! a+++++++

The potato cakes are so tiny and arent even good and the gravy is definitely not addictive just taste like chicken stock and the chicken burgers just look sad

Not sure where the guys that left the other reviews were eating but must have clearly mistaken this place for somewhere else or perhaps mates of the owner!? We bought two burgers there last Friday... the patties were cooked from frozen and bought in, the type you get at safeway, buns were stale, bacon was uncooked and burned on the edges and the whole thing was just super greasy. This concept maybe worked 25 years ago but with all the amazing burger places around this one is a "must not go" Should have known better as the signage and interior already didn't look to promising, but they say never judge a book by it's cover, well there' an exception!

Love this place. Hand cut potato cakes, fish is yummy and the gravy is next level! Friendly staff and one of the tastiest fish n chip shops in the area
