Review Seddon Deadly Sins - Seddon

Jessica Lea
Nice spot to pop into for breakfast. Tasty dishes. Nice outdoor area to sit in if you want to be out in the sun or have your furry friends with you. Staff are friendly but busy and I found I had to ask for my coffee order a couple times.

Coffee was great. The meals were good, and they were accomodating in terms of veg options. Good atmosphere and loved the decor. Staff were lovely! Would come back here.

Absolutely delicious food and great service really chilled out atmosphere. One of my favorite places to eat. Love the golden book menus too, especially as I collect them. šŸ˜. Highly recommend.

Spectacular food and staff. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch and coffee if you are visiting Seddon Village. Don't forget The Good Room upstairs for your party or event.

Great atmosphere in the back next to the fireplace. The food is great with friendly staff. Plenty of gluten free options available.

Interesting deco and menu covers. Tried their homemade Pumkin soup & it was yummy. Wait staffs were efficient and friendly .

Actually been here a few times now and decided to write a review due to multiple yummy experiences. Dishes ordered: - WRATH: Spanish eggs cooked in house made salsa, olives, red onion, parmesan, chorizo, jalapenos with sourdough - SLOTH: Chilli scrambled eggs, fresh chilli, mint, coriander, Thai basil, marinated tofu and dried shallots on sourdough (added a side of honey lamb and rosemary sausage) Food comes out looking great and tastes as good as it looks. The Spanish Eggs has a lot of flavours going on but I enjoyed all of it. I also love salsa so it was an easy decision. Chilli scrambled eggs has enough spice you know it's there but not enough to overpower. Eggs were nice and fluffy and soft. Additions of mint, coriander and Thai basil add keep the dish from becoming repetitive. Shallots add that crispy texture to the dish. Overall, simple but yum. Coffee was good too and as I mentioned before I've been here numerous times now and I give them credit for their consistency.

Loved everything about this place, excellent customer service and food and coffee was delicious. Love the decor and courtyard, lovely spot.

Great but minus one star until they bring back the delicious Salmon and dill blinis that they used to serve two years ago. I still miss it! That was the best dish in the whole of Seddon and now I sin less than I used to because the dish is no longer served.

Absolutely loved our experience at the cafƩ. From the moment you walk in the environment and friendly vibe you get, as well as a warm welcome from the happy staff is amazing. The food and coffee were to die for good, the best breakfast I have had out and that saying a lot haha. We can't wait to come back soon :D xx

I have known Chris and Simon pushing 14 years. It is the best cafe in the inner west and it reflects in their food, atmosphere and staff ā¤ļø

Happy to shamelessly promote this lovely little jewel of a cafe hidden in the inner suburbs of Melbourne. It is about my third or fourth visit and every time I have come the food has been exceptional both tasty and innovative, the service has also been friendly skilful and informed. Nice work.

Best place for coffee and brunch the staff are friendly. Simon and Chris make you feel welcome, catering for my friends and myself as part of the family. ļæ½ you guys. Reason to come to Melbourne

Brilliant staff, food and atmosphere. I have just moved to the area and already know this will be my local eating/day drinking establishment.
Dad-Ventures
There was a time in my late teenage years where my parents decided they werenā€™t going to be a typical European couple, and decided to spend less time in the veggie garden and more time drinking coffee, going out for ā€˜brunchā€™ and wearing floral shirts. They would take my sister and I out every week to new and exciting places that was definitely far from the typical cuisine that we would have at home. One of these places I remembered visiting as a family was Seddon Deadly Sins. Thinking back to that time in life ā€œDad-Venturesā€ wouldnā€™t be complete if we didnā€™t go back and reacquaint ourselves with the delicious food that is forever ingrained in the memories of teenage Dad.

Seddon Deadly Sins is a cafĆ© that takes brunching to a whole new level, and does so with original style and flavor. The courtyard was todayā€™s choice of seating and upon sitting down I felt completely detached from the bustle of life, and fully immersed in a semi tranquil foodie habitat. I was ready for some major brunching and truth be told; I already knew what I was going eat.

The awesome menus are the first thing that youā€™ll marvel at when you come to Seddon Deadly Sins. The entire menu is designed like a book and housed in Golden Book stories which is crazy original and really cool. As I scanned the Seven Deadly Sins my Gluttony was only on the look out for one thing ā€œBanana Pancakes.ā€

Yes, the Banana Pancakes were teenage Dadā€™s first love and I just knew upon returning to Seddon Deadly Sins that I had to have them again. Every pancake Iā€™ve ever had does not, and will not measure up to the Banana Pancakes here. The glorious two stack pancake is served with thick, sweet caramel sauce which is generously drizzled through the dish. Atop sits a grilled banana and vanilla ice cream which completes a simple, yet incredible brunch menu item. The taste is incredible guys! The pancakes are soft, fluffy but quite thick and bold. In each mouthful I attempted to get a perfect ratio of pancakes, sauce, banana and ice cream which creates a taste explosion. The best part about this dish is that it is exactly as I remembered it so many years ago.

Seddon Deadly Sins is a cafĆ© that takes brunching and lunching to a whole new level, and does so with originality and style. The menu items that I saw being carted from the kitchen all looked amazing, but I canā€™t recommend the banana pancakes highly enough. The cafĆ© is located on a busy strip where other cafes and restaurants trade, however Seddon Deadly Sins has created its own unique vibe that you wont get any where else. It really does set itself apart from the competition.

My Verdict: Worth it for mains priced at $17.50.

Be sure to check out our new Instagram @dadventuresofficial where you will find our awesome pictures and a link to our brand new website.

Been here for years! the customer service and food never disappoints. Most recommended food on the menu is the Wrath! West is the best!

1000% better than common galaXia. Arguably, the coffee is great at CG because of their beans however their attitude leaves a bitter taste. Seddon deadly sins makes me feel loved at home whilst I regret my life decision.
Fabulous staff, fabulous food and fabulous tunes.
Hash browns on point as well as the teams wit. 10 points

On a cold Melbourne Sunday, the soup special grabbed my attention. I did enjoy it but was it outstanding definitely not, it just lacked something to elevate it to the next level regarding flavour. The parmesan toast though was delicious and coffee good and the others enjoyed their meals.

An exceptional brunch venue and cafe, offering both rustic interior seating or a backyard canopy escapade with heaters, trees and greenery.

Today we opted for the latter, and were welcomed from the outset by exceptional service. Warm, friendly, and constantly communicating with attendees, the staff here are very passionate about what they do, and in ensuring you will have a good time. This sets for such a lovely dining experience from the outset. I ordered a cappuccino with a dish starting with V, which said it was a leg day dish. It contained eggs, lamb, chicken, and a sausage- packed with proteins and flavours. The chicken was cooked in a curry-like satay, whilst the lamb(?) Paste was creamy like a mashed potato. All the flavours culminate well in giving you a massive portion of delight- much more than other brunch places. The cappuccino was also good, topped with a chocolate flavoured foam on top, a decent coffee by any standard.

Top this off with a really ambient outdoor sheltered setting and you have a sure winner for a brunch venue. Really impressed by our time here and would certainly recommend!

Food: 4/5
Service: 5/5
Ambience: 4.5/5
Value: 4/5

Overall: 4/5

Food was average staff were friendly. Not a price you would want to pay for a brunch meal thats not very exicting or flavourful. Thanks for the service
Great coffee shop in Seddon. Staff are super friendly and coffee is great. We ordered takeaway coffees while on our way to the park one of the coffees is a triple shot!

Definately a brunch spot I always gravitate back to. Love the pancakes here. I always ask for the syrup to be served on the side (personal preference). The pancakes are always fluffy highly recommend the grilled banana pancakes. Also love the Spanish eggs here!
FOOD TRIP
Seddon Deadly Sins is a warm and homey cafe with plenty of seating inside and out. Lots of menu options to choose from for breakfast and lunch. Portion sizes are on the smaller side and flavours are average. Probably wouldn't come back. Cappuccino (soy) $3.80. Average coffee. A bit too bitter for my tastes ā˜…ā˜…ā˜†

We came here for brunch on a Sunday with my husband and daughter for a quick bite to eat before heading into the city, the restaurant itself is small and tricky to get around especially if you have a pram but we were seated straight away which was great.
I wasnt really a fan of what was on the menu but was excited to see eggs florentine, I asked if I could have it with smoked salmon instead of the cured salmon that it came with but was told they dont have smoked salmon which I found very strange, how can a breakfast menu not have smoked salmon?? Anyway, I decided to try the cured salmon, i'm not a fussy eater by any means but this cured salmon was horrible! I kindly asked them to take It away and ordered bacon instead which they quickly brought out, the manager was also nice enough to ask what was wrong with the cured salmon, i explained that it was my first time trying it and it did not agree with me, over all the the food was good but nothing stand out.

This is a genuine review Zomato. Leave it up please.

The staff were rude, the coffee was aweful, the food dry and flavoured, and overpriced to boot.

The inner west of Melbourne has far better options than here.
Melissa
Awful , rude customer service, coffee that tastes like burnt dirt and over cooked food. There are plenty of nicer places close by to go to, I recommend avoiding the disappointment and going elsewhere.
Lovely community cafe in Seddon. There is plenty of seating out the back in the courtyard. The staff are really friendly, and the food is quick and tasty.

It's been a few years since I last went to SDS and went back recently.Ā Everything was the same as I rememberedĀ andĀ I had the fritters.Ā Ā They were good, recommend for breakfast.

A quirky little cafe with staff that provide an amazing experience to your dining needs with their wit and banter. With menus provided in little story books, the food is always a delicious experience
EggsBenny
Plenty of character. Cheerful staff. Service was really quick. Had the blue cheese eggs, enjoyable but not amazing, nor as cheesy as i had anticipated. Would probably go the Envy green eggs next time. Quite a few different spaces, out front, indoor, courtyard. Good coffee

We visited Seddon Deadly Sins with kidlets the other morning. I got a bit worried cos it had a pretty small front, but what I didnā€™t see was a beautiful dining section out the back, the courtyard was huge too.

I had the spinach and ricotta filo pastry w mushroom sauce, kranskey and poached egg. The filo pastry was half covered with mushroom sauce so it was a bit soggy. The kranskey was super hard and have lots of hard rind in it as well. Definitely not a fan of that kranskey. The flavours are really nice, but also extremely heavy. I think it would have been good for two people to share or one big hungry person to eat. Kidlet has some of mine and I still couldnā€™t finish. It would have been nicer if they had something to lift up this very heavy dish.

Hubby had the sweet potato laktes and he said that was pretty average.

Kidletsā€™ Envy - pesto scramble and Ham was delish, except for the ham which once again had lots of hard rind in it.

Just a bit of a hit and miss here and there so if we are in the area we might look elsewhere for a feed. Pity though because the service was great, the kidā€™s babycinos came out in lightning speed (so very important!!!) and the food came pretty fast too!

Went here with my girlfriend for brunch and we absolutely loved it - the staff is lovely, the banana pancakes we had were fluffy and delicious, and the outdoor seating in the back of the restaurant is the cutest little place. They also offer great vegan milk alternatives and they used paper straws instead of plastic! A perfect brunch date location.
Stephen
Food & coffee consistently good! Service is always on point, ambience is nice, only downfall is the back room area can be a bit dark and dull, but it nice on a rainy day (in my opinion). Otherwise this place never misses a beat!
Jane
The food is excellent, the coffee is excellent and the service is excellent! All day brekkie and all day lunch....all perfect except the grumpy guy who takes your money... after waiting some 10-15 minutes while he continues with his argument with the customer before me... (who suggests I could be served)...I ask if I can just please pay... he starts lecturing me about taking turns... fair enough.. but maybe get someone else to take the money while you finish your argument???

Friendly and fast service at Seddon Deadly Sins. Was eager to try this cafe thanks to their great reputation. Interesting menu however ordered from their special. Chose the pork rosti with poached eggs and a chilli and lime dipping sauce. I was excited. However upon the dish coming out, I was disappointing to find no rostiā€™s but rather meatballs on my plates. Delicious but disappointing as I was expecting something a potato rosti. Worth a visit nonetheless but the misleading dish name definitely brought the rating down.

Great food and friendly service in a cute setting. Love this place so much!

All the staff are super attentive and the menu is vast with options. Something to suit almost everyone.

Would I return? To commit seven deadly sins YES!

Seddon Deadly Sins Cafe is located on Victoria St which is the dining scene for the locals. The cafe is usually pretty packed on a weekend however the staff are very friendly and well-coordinated and know how to manage the busy weekend brunch crowd. If you do have to wait they will take your name ask you to wait upstairs and perhaps start with a coffee in their cool and cosy lounge area. The vibe here is hustling yet cosy and perfect for a catch up with friends or a date.

The menu is based on the Seven Deadly Sins naturally and presented on old children books cover which is cute. The menu offers lots of variety and even includes wines and cocktails! They generally serve their coffee strong so if this isnā€™t how you prefer it then make sure you say so otherwise enjoy because they are always on point. On this particular day we ordered the Beer Battered Haloumi $18.50 & Envy (Green Eggs & Ham) $17.50. The Beer Battered Haloumi is great if you love cheese and your wanting something a little different than eggs or pancakes. The fig jam that it comes with pairs perfectly! The Envy which is a favourite of ours has the yummiest ham, you will be left wanting more and if you donā€™t order it, you will have envy thatā€™s for sure!

BONUS: Make sure you visit the bathroom upstairs!

Good breaky at Seddon Deadly Sins. I was surprised at just out much seating is out the back & loved the courtyard very cool with the trees & rustic decor.
Breaky was really yum, baked eggs & sweet potato fritters hit the spot.
Staff were fab friendly & helpful. Cakes looked very tempting.

Had a lovely brunch here on the weekend. Busy but not too busy. I had the blue cheese mushroom eggs which were really nice (though not a huge serving) and my partner had the canadian pancakes which were fantastic! Unlimited maple syrup and generous amount of bacon and pecans. Will be back to try more of their extensive menu.

Leg day with honey lamb and rosemary sausage, poached chicken and turtle bean and yam rosti. And Canadian pancakes with bacon!!!! God, I just love food. Price is just like every other cafes, $18 - $23. Love this place. #foodporn #cafe #breakfast

Wow what a fantastic meal. Had the Spanish eggs and shared the berry pancakes for dessert. Others really enjoyed their meals too.
Definitely coming back.

We're new to the area and I'm glad we found the delightfully named Seddon Deadly Sins :) The guys working there were all so friendly and chatty, and despite being busy the service was prompt and efficient. We had coffees on the way before we even sat down and they were very knowledgeable about their menu. I had the special - French toast filled with peanut butter and banana wth crispy bacon, maple syrup and vanilla ice cream. This was obviously incredible! My partner had the baked eggs but he had major food envy of my epic dish. He should listen to me more :P I recommend you stop in!
Quynh Le
Well well, I donā€™t know how they could make something as simple as chicken tasted so delicious!!!!
Everything on my plate blended perfectly together. Their hash browns are to die for!!!!

They are good at turning simple food elements taste unexpectedly yummy šŸ˜‹

I love this place. The service is always consistently good and so is the food and coffee and I've been going here for about 8 years now. Never had a bad experience and the ambience of this place is on point!!! The bathroom upstairs is quite stunning as well!!

The staff are all so friendly! The beer batttered haloumi was amazing and coffee was beautiful
Would definitely recommend and go back again!

Most impressed I've been by a cafe in a while. Excellent baked eggs, perfectly cooked. Nice amount of spice with the jalapenos, and such a well seasoned tomato sauce. Hearty meal. Also friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.

My favourite cafe in Seddon! Delicious food & lovely, warm & friendly staff. Fire in winter, courtyard in summer. Would give 5 stars except for two things - not many vegan choices & decor could do with a freshen up. Still my fave place thošŸ’ŽšŸ’œšŸŒˆ

I purchased a juice in a bottle and didn't realise they had removed the lid, so I shook it and the juice wentĀ all over me and in my eye.Who takes the lid? You need shake theses juices.Anyway these things happen but I was veryĀ disappointed that not one staff memberĀ acknowledged me or asked if I was OK.They did apologise to my friendĀ but he didn't have juice all over him.Very disappointing!

In the heart of seddan a fantastic cafe with a nice vibe. They are often busy and the friendly staff are ready to provide a service. Their menu has a wide variety of options and they did a exceptional service for mothers day. I don't live in this area but I would highly recommend you stop for a meal or coffee.

Wrong dish served. Staff apologised due to new staff. Friendly service. Small cute courtyard. Had Mac n blue cheese cauliflower with walnuts and poached eggs (special menu). Not blue cheesy enough . Bland. Sweet Canadian Pancakes balanced well with Bacon. Need high chairs for babies. Place has a punny name.
Munching With Mel
Rating: 4.5
Food: 4.5
Value: 4
Ambience: 4.5
Service: 5

First of all, service was a standout. Fun, witty and peaceful. I ordered the Atlantic with salmon and poached eggs. The hollandaise mayo was the best finishing touch for with the salmon and flavoursome sourdough bread. Letdown for me was the little portion of salmon provided since the dominant portion of egg and bread outshone the key taste of the dish - salmon. On the other hand, the pot of Spanish eggs was delightful to eat. Will come back for more.
-------------
Came back a year later and realised this is why they are honestly the best brunch spot. I love their cute creation of fairy tale and children book-style menus. Their dishes are always so vibrant, however, plating could be better! We ordered a bit of everything and shared amongst each of our own dish amongst our group. We can definitely see the love and care they pour out onto each dish, with every dish tasting consistently delicious and balanced, with each element on the plate doing their own thing. The hash browns are so crispy, whilst the potato filling inside was so fluffy and warm. They were bite sized pieces, and were definitely fun and easier to eat.

Big brekkie: The sausages on the big brekkie are perfectly seasoned with the right amount of pepper and salt. And if there wasn't enough salt and pepper, we had the option to with the shakers! The egg scramble was so fluffy, and everything on the plate (the spinach, tomato relish, egg, and buttered toast) worked so well together. Although it's a classic that can be made at home, the quality is definitely restaurant worthy.

Halloumi fries: What surprised me were the halloumi fries and how different they are from store bought ones, that is, in a better way! It was so rich in flavour and had the perfect amount of saltiness. Accompanying the halloumi fries was the tomato jam, and the two combined was definitely an exciting treat worth trying! It was such a heavenly bite, full of sweet and salty, and full of texture.

All in all, their menu is very versatile and changes here and there, but their love for food will always be felt in their cooking.
Foodlicious
Iā€™ve had a fair share of eggs Benedict with the classic bacon but this ones different. Itā€™s almost like Christmas smoked ham which Iā€™m definitely not complaining about! The ambience is nice and homey and service time was good seeing as we were a group of 8. There are heaps of brunch places in Seddon and this is one of the better ones
Pandamonium
Great little spot for coffee and food. We had the pork belly special- perfectly slow cooked rind-on pork belly on cabbage and apple with poached eggs and orange sauce. They nailed the flavor combo. Coffees were excellent and so was the service. Really enjoy coming here, never get bored with the menu!

Update: No longer recommended. Very poor customer service after several accounts. Not worth the wait.

Lovely cosy spot in the heart of seddon. Dishes have never failed to impress. Though service at times are hit and miss. At one visit, we had finish our food and our drinks hadn't come out- we had placed the order for drink before food. Soon to find that the waitress had not put our order in.
That being said, still highly recommended :)
Rob
Love this place. The staff are so friendly and there are so many good items on the menu. I highly recommend the green eggs and ham or the blue cheese eggs. Both top-notch!
Moneta Tan
Never disappointed when I come here, whether for meal or just a coffee. Service is always amazing and food is even more amazing! Cheers guys.

When I traveled over to the west to visit a friend they took me to Seddon in which the menu is inspired by the 7 deadly sins ( of course ) . The food was really delicious and from memory the cafe was really crowded and busy ! The staff despite the influx of customers were very friendly and helpful , If I am ever in the area again I will return here
Mehza_B
Awesome place for brunch. The team are always friendly and in good spirits. Service is exceptional!

Best spanish eggs (Wrath)! All other place i've been to serve this with beans, which aren't my fave.

New eddition to the menu is the blue cheese with poached eggs. Blue cheese sauce was smooth and creamy... it didn't have that sharp blue cheese flavour you would normally get with a low quality blue cheese. i would have tried to order it with some fries if i wasn't so full!

Place gets pretty full, but service and food timing has never been an issue. We always manage to get a seat but i would recommend booking if you're in larger groups.
Lordmegatron
Really cool decor and vibe. Tasty food and strong coffee however the portions are a bit on the small side. Good variety on the menu so Iā€™d definitely
Go back

New to Seddon area, we picked Seddon Deadly sins for Saturday brunch based on the rating on Zomato. The cafe is located on Victoria st which is probably the dining scene for the locals. The cafe was packed when we walked in and we are expecting a long wait. However, the staff are very friendly and well coordinated and they seemed to have a good system to manage the busy weekend brunch crowd. The guy who greeted us near the entrance took my name and asked to wait upstairs. He also asked if we would like to start with coffee or a cold drink while waiting for a table. There is a waiting lounge upstairs with mixed matched sofa and coffee tables. We didnā€™t have to wait too long despite there a few groups before us. My name was called after about 10 mins and we were ushered to a table in the courtyard in the shade which was great on a sunny day. The menu on the table had children books cover which was cute and they also have wines and cocktails in the menu! Our coffee were served the minute we sat down, perfect timing! It was a little strong for me but my partner loves his coffee. We ordered the Gluttony and Berry pancake to share. The eggs were perfectly poached and itā€™s the first time I see ā€˜baked onionā€™ on the menu. I find the pancake is not sweet enough, maybe all it needs was a scoop of ice cream to bring it together. Overall itā€™s a cafe with great vibes, friendly staff that works well together.

Came here for a quick snack and drink as was a little hungover and tired and what I had hit the spot nicely. I came into the store a little late, but I had a cheese cake and ice chocolate. The staff were super friendly and were able to help me when needed. But service was a little slow. I'm not sure if that was because I came in late or what it was but for what I ordered it should/could of been a lot quicker also with the number of customers in store as well. But overall lovely place
Bianca
Honestly really yummy food, great surroundings (inside and out in the back garden area) and good service. Maybe slightly pushy in the "add on" suggestions but i will be back. Sweets looked delish too!
Do order the blue cheese mushies w eggs. Also got the beetroot cured smoked salmon. Seriously awesome! Eggs poached perfectly and everything tasted to die for! Would love to see a vego option on the specials board. šŸ˜† thanks for the great breakie.

Went on a busy Sunday morning and it was lovely sat outside in the terrace out the back which would never have guessed was there from the front. ordered a hot chocolate and eggs Florentine with side of bacon, It was delicious! Crispy bacon with hollandaise eggs were poached to perfection with gooey yolks, couldnā€™t fault. Service was a little slow but understandable with how many other diners were there.

I came here on a lovely sunny sunday for a cheeky brunch and was warmly greeted by the lovely staff. I opted to sit out in the back courtyard and ended up ordering the "leg day breakfast" consisting of a honey lamb rosemary sausage, poached chicken and poached eggs on a bean and yam "pancake" (rosti) on top a bed of leafy greens.

The chicken was succulent and matched well with the rosti. Paired with the sausage and drizzled with yolk made a killer combo. All in all very happy with the meal which was also topped off with a berry cheesecake.

If you're looking to impress on your first date, I would highly recommend to get seating in the back courtyard. It has a very relaxed and intimate atmosphere paired with good food you'll be sure to score a second date.

The cafe is cute and cosy. The food was also great. I would love to try the other dishes on the menu. I also loved the iced chocolate, it was rich and creamy!

I love love love this place! Deadly sins is part of my top 3 brunch places. The coffee is smooth... The food is infused with great flavours... Service is impeccable and at time very humourous. Would recommend this to everyone. The menus are fantastic. They do a delicious Spanish Eggs.

I can't believe its taken me this long to review Seddon Deadly Sins... Ā 5 STARS PLUS =D. My partner, doggo and I love eating here. Every single time without a doubt the staff are fabulous - very friendly and attentive. They make you feel welcome and the food is AMAZING !!
Hello. Imnikki
The name "Seddon Deadly Sins" has intrigued me for a long while. It's a clever play on words, and with such ingenuity, I'm betting that this cafe can deliver the goods. And deliver the goods, they did. Service was absolutely flawless on a busy Saturday morning. We were greeted warmly and shown to a table quickly. Friendly and hardworking staffs all around.

We were equally impressed with our coffee and food. Our skinny lattes were both smooth and strong. The two dishes we ordered (green eggs and ham, and beer battered haloumi) were great examples of using simple and fresh ingredients, and creating a flavour masterpiece from them. While they were nothing to look at, the incredible flavours, and mash-up of textures and taste were second to none.

Bonus points for the cosy courtyard out back and also the cute menus.
JosƩ
Been here a number of times since I live only a 2min walk away, I like most of the food, the premises is very comfortable, the wait staff are always friendly.

I'm very impressed with the lengths this business has gone through to promote a YES vote and am very grateful for their efforts, will continue to give this cafĆ© another go until they get it just right. šŸ˜Š

Leg day breakfast with 2 hash browns and the best coffee I've ever had whilst hungover, PENG! I'll definitely be back even if only too see what cool vintage dress shirt one of the blokes inside is wearing.
Wendy
great coffee!
loved the blue cheese/mushroom combo, prob a bit more mushroomy than cheesy but still awesome.
great service too :) there's a lounge upstairs to wait for an available table or just to chill.

This cafe is great! Casual, welcoming, great service & delicious food. We dined in the courtyard which was so cute & laid back, though smokers are a plenty, which can put you off your food if you don't smoke & wish to sit outside.

I had a coffee & a vegetarian Mexican wrap. Coffee (mocha) was a bit weak & too milky for my liking but the wrap was so flavourful & not stodgy.

Great ambiance & overall feel. Anyone & everyone is welcomed.

Firstly - I do have to say I love the creativity in the name! We stopped in for a quick bite to eat before having to feed our little guy. A char-grilled veggie pide and chicken ceasar pide. Uber friendly and helpful staff (with our ginormous pram) ad stellar food. Thanks.
Caleb
The food here is amazing! The menus are in kids books, but quite a range to choose from. I had the chicken caeser pide; very tasty! The atmosphere is pleasant, but I wouldn't recommend sitting outside unless you are a smoker.

I had the canadian pancake it was very good to start of with but i think it got sickening after a while , flavour was on point... my friend had the egg benedict and it was amazing!!

BREAKFAST

This place was really different and had great food. Alternate look, total Melbourne cool style with vodka bottles for water and nursery books for menu pages. Amazing overall, so good for it to be different from the usual yuppy eatery with smashed avocado, Deadly Sins rocked an alternate style and it totally worked.

Nice place, friendly staff, good array of cakes and slices. Serviceable breakfast, hits the spot. They do a decent coffee too. Really just a standard cafe, that coasts by on its 'clever' name

Great food and great vibes!! Been here more than a couple of times and it never fails to disappoint! This time i ordered the pancakes, which were very fluffy and the chorizo baked eggs. They were both very delicious! Will be back again :)

Staying competitive in Melbourne's Cafe scene is definitely a challenge, but Seddon Deadly Sins does an amazing job. Charming venue, great coffee, and an even better breakfast.

Been here a couple of times for coffee. I would venture back just for the lovely customer service. The water was served in a vodka bottle, and being the alcoholic I am, this excited me greatly. Coffee was nice and hot, strong, and kept me energetic for the better part of an afternoon. There was also a group of fine manly specimens sitting at the table adjacent, which gave my friend and I something to ogle at whilst sipping on our delightful coffees. Ā

The staff is a myriad of happy faces, and they go to the effort of engaging in conversation which I always appreciate. I regret I did not capture any photographic evidence of our coffees, however I have attached proof of just how life enhancing they were (I've tried to attach the photo several thousand times to no avail.) I danced vivaciously around the neighbourhood and stopped briefly to straddle an artistic wall. I hope this will inspire you to visit Seddon Deadly Sins.

Came here a couple weekends ago. Service was pretty good, except for the waitress who took our orders - she could not care less about being there and spilled my friend's coffee as she served it with no apology. The cashier however, did take this coffee off the bill.

I would recommend Gluttony (the big breakfast) or the Blue Cheese Eggs (very creamy), the Atlantic was not bad but nothing special. There's heaps of brunch places nearby too, worth checking them out.

Being a glutton is not easy. Lifeā€™s not butterflies and rainbows when youā€™re lugging around a food baby from a meal designed to feed a small family. Sometimes even Iā€™m amazed at how I manage to achieve gargantuan feats of overeating, napping and terrifying amounts of snacking. Have you ever had a late night kebab, two potato cakes, one gozleme ā€“ washed down with an ice cold coke AND went to bed immediately after? This is Gluttony in a nut shell and Iā€™m sure most of us are guilty of overindulgent intakes of carbs and sneaking in one too many spoonfuls of ice cream. Hey, Iā€™m not here to judge. This is a safe place.

A nice little cafe that feels really cosy with a chill vibe. It was hard to choose what i wanted on the menu cause i found it odd. I had the leg day breakfast - the chicken was a bit too dry for my liking but overall it was yummm. The staff were also really friendly!

Great experience here and would be back to try other things on the menu!

Came around lunch time. Excellent long black and great service. The Poached Pear salad was delicious. Could have done with more goats cheese but still yummy.
Cheap eggs your way. $8. Easy. Why not. Coffee is good. Haven't tried anything fancier from the menu but I have faith. They say you can tell the quality of a chef in the way they cook eggs.

Had breakkie a few times here now. Food is always good and staff are always pleasant. Definately satisfies my morning/ brunch caffine and food hit. Thanks guys.

Cosy, friendly service, good food and very good prices (it is hard to find eggs on toast for $8 anywhere else). Ā For the price of eggs on toast else where, at Seddon Deadly Sins you can add a side, yay! Ā The poached eggs were cooked really well and the hash browns were tasty.

This cafe was recommended by a colleague who has shared many cafe and dish recommendations and recipes but he was so wrong about this place.

It is quite hard to get parking here on a Sunday with most streets only having quarter of an hour parking. We walked past coMmon galaxia and it was brimming with people but my brunch friend and I were in a rush to go on our weekend adventure so headed straight for the seddon deadly sins.

Yes their menus are storybooks but I've seen this at another cafe in Perth. Yes menu is expansive. The barista was funny "here's coffee with all the bad stuff taken out" (ie fat from skim milk).

But everything else is not so good.

Coffee was burnt

The wrath eggs were way too strong tasting and salty (worse with the olives) and I felt sick after. Sourdough toast was bad quality.

The battered haloumi was nice but how can it not be. Didn't go with the bacon or the spinach.

The toilet is outdoors. Expect a queue. It was dirty..And stank.

Worst experience ever.

We had to repeatedly ask for share plates.

Any changes are an extra dollar.

Staff are nice but very young (inexperienced?).

And so overpriced for seddon. I guess going here was my deadly sin of the day.

My new local - really cool vibe in this place.
Had a coffee and beer battered halloumi which was delicious. Staff were very friendly! Can't wait to try some other stuff on the menu it all looked great

I'm a local and if you want the best coffee and breakfast this is the place. Consistency is the key for a business and this guys got it well done.

Quite yummy brunch! Love how old school they can be. Staff can be nice sometimes, work on that.
Take your lover or friends here for some lovely brunch time.

Every time I've been here, I've been served with a smile. I find that the specials that they have get sold out really quickly so we're forced to order off the menu, which is limiting in my opinion. Overall decent however, there are many choices in the surrounding area.

It's a Seddon icon!

I love the vibe of the place and the staff are really cool.. I would recommend to people after a chilled out brunch!

I had high hopes as it is truly a highly spoke of place in Seddon, but unfortunately I was really disappointed. Service was sometimes lovely and sometimes rushed and like you were putting the staff out by being there. Coffee was good though, and food was okay but knowing I can get better breaky a few doors up or down means I probably won't make it back.

Food is usually very fast and high quality. Been here a few times and can always rely on this place to have great food. However service is so-so even during quiet hours. Not particularly helpful when it comes to prams and moving from outdoor to indoor seating. Didn't offer to help moving the pram despite the high steps. Asked us to exit through the back door and as soon as we stepped out the door was slammed shut. Was given similar service all three times I've been. Always in a dilemma about visiting and taking friends to this place because of the service.

Great little brunch/lunch spot I go to for a nice coffee and a delicious lamb and dukka salad my absolute fav!! Always friendly service and great chats
Rice Ball
The staffs here are so friendly. It was raining miserably today and they offered to house us until the rain cooled off; so thoughtful of them considering how busy they were at the time. I love the vampy vibe to the cafƩ. The dim lighting kind of put me to sleep whilst I waited for me food but that's not a problem. I ordered the Corn Coated Chicken Tenderloins which came with the most deliciously dressed salad and tomato relish. The portion was generous; 3 palm sized pieces of chicken and a large garden of salad underneath ($17.50). I loved that the salad did not make my chicken soggy despite how well dressed it was. The chicken tenders lasted like they were breaded in Doritos! I love Doritos so that was a win win situation. My boyfriend had the Spanish eggs ($17.00). To my taste, it did lack some flavour; the chorizos definitely saved it. However, I was pleased with how quickly the dishes came out considering the peak hour. Overall, it was a nice experience! I would love to try some of their desserts next time...I was drooling at the cheesecakes at the cash register.

Had a great brunch accompanied with good coffee. Nice courtyard setting and different seating areas you can choose.

Wrath (photo with red) was great but would be better with baked beans as it was quite strong and can get sick of the flavour easily.

Serving for the eggs Ben would have been better with an extra slice of sour dough bread. I'm a pretty small eater and even that wasn't enough. But overall good brunch, will be back :)

This is a nice place and has interesting food ideas but it was expensive for the mushrooms for what you got. Coffee was okay but a little burnt. Seddon has really become a cafe hot spot for the west I think seddon deadly sins is a great place but may have to lift their game a little to stay competitive

Located on Victoria street, seddon deadly sins is my choice for brunch in seddon. The all day breakfast/ lunch options gives everyone a wider variety of options and the outside courtyard is very well set out. The menus which are made out of old nursery rhyme books are pretty cool, and some of the options on the menu, such as any of the pancakes or the all day leg day are very tasty
Nomnom
Really snazzy place in Seddon with a great backyard area with plenty of seats. Prices were very reasonable with a great array of menu items. Wasn't happy though being asked if I wanted hash browns with my eggs only to get bill shock later. I would have preferred if they said "do you want hash browns for an extra ~$3".

Really impressing place. Very tasty food, very very good coffee, lovely staff, nice position in a nice neighbourhood. Brunch there is a win win
Coffeesnob
Food was amazing, atmosphere whilst cosy was still enjoyable and able to have a conversation. Coffee tastes great, but please, wash your glasses! Was off putting drinking my latte out of a grimy glass! Staff were also all so friendly, whilst very eager to take away dishes right as we finish service was prompt and with a smile.

BYO Spinach!!!! My work colleague and I have lunch at Seddon Deadly Sin's regularly and love the cafe and have always loved the service. Especially the friendly guy behind the counter (who was not there today). We normally go there for their Green Eggs and Ham which is amazing. Today we decided to share a foccocia and a side of chips, not because we're tight arse's but because they're very filling. We decided that we would like to add spinach to our foccocia to add some greenery, which was a good choice. We then went to pay the bill and we noticed that we were charged $3.50 for the 5 pieces of spinach that was in our foccocia. I honestly could not believe it! You can buy a bag of spinach for $2.00 at the supermarket! I would maybe understand if we asked for extra avo but give me a spell with the spinach! Not sure if this happened because we were sharing!? Very disappointed and won't be returning for a while.

We ordered Gluttony, the Chicken Wrap, and the Grilled Banana pancakes with a side of bacon. We found that the meals were all delicious, however the pancakes were too sweet and we couldn't finish them. Eggs were cooked nicely. Service was good.
BRUNCHIN' WITH US
The location was very easy to get to and situated in a very nice and chilled area. Everything we ordered was nice and simple, perfect for a go to breakfast. However the added bacon was quite burnt and hard therefore most of it was put to waste. The Spanish eggs were good but it did lack some flavouring, though the eggs combined with the chorizo sausages did make a difference. Other than that this cafe is worth a try if you are nearby this area!

Another nice small brunch venue with a standard breakfast and lunch menu. Their foccacia was delicious and each bite was worth for the crunch. Their tranquil backyard makes it great for solo or couple lunch dates.
