It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing coffee, food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. The best café in Seddon

Wonderful experience dining in at Lola today. They were very accommodating for a flexible booking time, and two dogs, and a baby. The young man serving us today was attentive, friendly and efficient. The coffee was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning in the near future!

Such a warm & welcoming environment. Service was fantastic, food was delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back!

Unquestionably, the best coffee shop in the area! I’m so thankful that finally, I was able to find this spot for some good coffee and brunch just in time. The atmosphere inside this coffee shop was very vibrant and relaxing. Food was fresh ,nice decorated and tasty I will definitely rate them a five-star for everything that they provided. Truly amazing! Thank you so much, guys!

Food: Great food! Not your average cafe food you find at the 89 cafes in that street alone. Good menu! Ambience: Lovely place honestly. Great decor, can go with family or meet friends. Place for the kids too, which is nice considering Seddon being such a small area. Service: Great service, friendly staff. Value: Great place to go if you wanna spoil yourself to a nice breakfast on the weekend!

I went to try their coffee because I like AllPress coffee. However, I have been waiting for more than 20 minutes to get two takeaway coffee. And it is not busy. The barista just kept talking with other customers. The coffee is also a little bit disappointing.

I just had the most delicious lunch with three of my friends. The food , service and coffee all excellent, would highly recommend to everyone in the area and those who have to travel it's well worth it. Spanish/Portuguese food for something different, Ill be back to try breakfast, dinner and lunch again!

Have never left a review on a restaurant before, but after tonight's dins Lola i must! Service was on point, Pierre was helpful and charismatic. Eye fillet cooked to perfection and delish. A glass of homemade sangria w all the trimmings was a delight. Will be back
Rebecca O'Sullivan
Genuinely tasty food presented as impressively you would find in any fine dining establishment - yet not expected in such a casual funky dining environment. Scallops on spoons and the croquettes were definite faves, closely followed by the jug of sangria of course. Thanks for a great night

Excellent food and coffee, lovely atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend

It’s not often my husband and I sit down to a sporadic cafe meal and are both blown away by the food and service. This place certainly did that. What a pleasant and unexpected surprise this little gem was. I had the MediterraneanLam salad and hubby had the open steak sandwich. So delicious, two thumbs up 👍🏼 👍🏼 we’ll definitely be coming back here again.

Menu not too big or small, spacious cafe, great atmosphere. Coffee was quite foamy but taste was great! Baked eggs was one of the nicest I’ve ever had - great tomatoey flavour, with generous amounts of chorizo. Nice service. Definitely would come again.
New Food Critic ✌
Service was good. Nothing special though. I ordered the sun-kissed eggs and added chorizo. I found my dish really salty. Good flavours but could be better. The spinach was my saviour from all the saltiness. Otherwise, decent coffee. Cute decor.
Shake'n Bake
The dishes' generous serving and use of high quality ingredients feel like home-style cooking with authentic Portuguese and Spanish roots. Beautiful atmosphere for group catch-ups or solo dining.

Firstly - the staff here are great, they accommodated a large number of us during their busy time on a Saturday morning. The food came out together, coffees were great, and we were well looked after. Cecilia in particular was really lovely. Will come back for more of their delicious toasties and jamon con pan

Delicious modern spanish infused food , beautiful venue modern and spacious, friendly staff and a good menu choice took a while to pick what to eat all so good, went for a burger with Spanish spices and coleslaw

The food was simply good, neat and very presentable. The portions size was right and it was bursting with flavor. The ambiance is really cool 😎 and staff were very friendly and ever so smiling. One great tick was the refill of water on a hot day. All in all great Spanish themed cafe. The only thing to criticize was the service time which was delayed even though it wasn’t that busy. Over all great spot for good coffee and food. Mostafamashiat

Frequently visit this place for breakfast with work. Ordered the porridge and a strong skinny latte. Coffee was good however the porridge was simply sublime, best porridge I ever had and was quiet filling. Definitely recommend this place for a good porridge.

went to dinner with my family for a birthday celebration. the food was great! my parents loved it and they tend to just eat Asian food so it was nice seeing them enjoy another cuisine. the only thing I would say needed improvement was when ordering a range of entrees, I said it was to share and it would have been nice if the waiter had advised us a bit more so we got the serving sizes right to enable easier sharing as its Spanish. tapas is their thing right? but other than that? really enjoyed it. my family and I pretty much ordered every entree and every main (there's a lot of us) and each one came out beautifully!

Great interior for a relaxed dinner. Service was lovely but the food not so good.

Undercooked calamari and the 1/2 chicken dish was tasty enough but nothing special.

It was okay but I won’t be rushing back for dinner.

Very nice breakfast this morning with the family. we had to Lola in Seddon. Very relaxing place to have breakfast Spanish style. We had Huevos con Salmon and Huevos Verdes. Eggs was cooked perfectly lots of flavour. Nice customer service, only negative point was the coffee nice but too cold.

WOW!!! - I stumbled across this beautiful Spanish cafe / restaurant over the weekend, great to have something different out in the west! The atmosphere and style of the cafe was quirky and fun and well presented. All the staff were lovely and polite and all had a smile on their faces and happy to help, we were attended to with water and menus as soon as we sat down. The Hot Chocolate that I got and the coffee that my partner ordered were both absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, the barista also knew how to work with soy milk well (Sometime's soy milk hot drinks can taste awful not here!) The menu options were Spanish inspired and with 4 of us out to lunch we all got something different and all of our orders came out super quick and again well presented and absolutely knocked our socks off ( I am now a Spanish fan!) I would not hesitate in returning back to the wonderful Lola Restaurant or recommending their cafe / restaurant to any of my friends or family, if you are in the area make sure you stop on by! You will have no regrets (just a full belly!)

We were at Lola for a Saturday brekkie/brunch. This cafe was absolute chaos, we ordered coffee as soon as we were seated and received the the wrong order 30 minutes later, after we had already been served our food (over cooked eggs). We sent back the coffee back & we received our correct order another 25 minutes later. The coffee was bitter and the milk taste burnt. We then get to the register and the man taking care of the bill looked completely frazzled, he had food dockets scattered all over the bench and was randomly picking them up hoping one would be ours. Still got charged for the coffee (sure, it's your right to do so but nothing about this experience was worth the money we spent there). I get it was a Saturday morning but if you can't keep up the Melbourne standard of service then this review is well deserved.

Ending up walking out after being aggressively dealt with by the management. Sat outside and was told by the waiter they'll attend to us. The same waiter continues to picks up plates from other tables and forgets to give us menus. As I just wanted to grab a menu and thought I can just get one without bothering the waiter, I get told by the manager and barista to sit back down twice, which is the first interaction I get from them. I visibly see from the window I've annoyed them to the point the barista is mouthing obsencity at me from inside. I was made to feel the opposite of what you want in a cafe, unwelcome and ganged up on. After going back to tell them how they made me feel, the barista was cold and felt the need to have a go at me for coming in 'three times' (which was not only inaccurate, but a clear example that this place is not built on good vibes). Will not be going back again and instead went to Seddon Deadly Sins that day, who are warm and not aggressive in any way. Lola just lost a lot of regular customers which at the time, they didn't appear to care about but that probably showcases how they operate.

We like Lola cafe, very relax Spanish experience, staff are lovely, food is great and it doesn’t feel cramp inside. Perfect! We will be back soon.

We were at Seddon area and randomly picked Lola for late Saturday brunch because I was attracted to the interior design of the cafe. Very relaxed and warm setting for brunch, also there is no queue which is great! I didn’t realised it was a Spanish cafe so the there is Spanish influence on the menu. We ordered the Pan da Jamon (Spanish ham, manchego cheese on toasted banquette) and Brioche French toast to share with coffee each to start. Staff are friendly and attentive. I find my coffee was a little weak but my partner enjoyed his. We loved the presentation of the food when it arrived at our table and they taste fresh and delicious. I’ll like to come back to try their dinner menu.

Was really hesitant to try Lola cafe as I’m not a big Spanish/Mexican person. But couldn’t say no to my friends and I don’t regret it at all!
Lovely atmosphere, great breakfast.
Ordered the para los vegeterianos with smoked salmon. Very tasty, polenta was beautiful.
Friends ordered the huevos a la lola, and huevos con salmon, also very tasty and perfect.
Loved the banarama smoothie, organise juice was quenching and the strawberry shake was lip smacking good.
Why a 4/5 rating? I’m hoping they can drop down the prices. Breakfast/brunch places have gone overboard with costs to their customers. We just want good breakfast value for money.
Hoping to return to try their lunch menu.
Take your lover, friends and family here for inspired Spanish sesh.
I love going to Lola's. The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. My fave menu item is the baked eggs, simply delicious! Hearty home cooked perfection 👌

Stopped in for a quick breakfast, food was great, portions were perfect.

Very friendly staff & cool/chill enviroment with softly played ambient music that makes it very comfortable.

Would definitely go back. 😊

A really chill & cute place, with quality service and nice staff! Really gorgeous interior, fell in love!! great place for a coffee and a quick bite :)

If I want a guaranteed perf strong soy café latte, I go to Lola. Coffee is consistently good! I trust few places to get it the way I like (not bitter, acidic or curdled) *every time*. Service is always friendly and attentive in my experience. Have had food a couple of times and although not the cheapest around, it's yum!

Amazing! We have lived in the area for years and this one has somehow slipped under our noses! We love Spanish food and this place is as good as anything on offer. We started with the olives, bravas and croquettes which were flavourful and well seasoned. We then ordered the traditional paella and mussels to share for main which the waiter adjusted the order to fit the amount of people at our table (4) 2x paelle 2x mussels, and they didn't disappoint, the paella was delish and had that perfect crusty base. The mussels were large and perfectly cooked. The only minor let down was that we ordered more bread to dip in our mussel sauce which didn't arrive however the waiter was very apologetic. Will definitely be back again.

Wow, what a dining experience! Incredible coffee and delicious food the standard of which you'd expect to find at a top restaurant! Attention to detail is definitely important at Lola. Reviews saying this place is overpriced, or doesn't have amazing food, etc. etc are wrong! Come check this place out. You will not regret it!!!

We ordered tapas and they were very delicious, especially the shrimps. The cafe flavoured mouses with chocolate cake and almond biscuit was very good as well. Over all very cozy environment and very warm and fast service! We will definitely come back again.

Im tired of places making the 'we can't change anything on the menu' call.
6 others in restaurant on a Sunday morning, it was dead, not like the kitchen was run off its feet.
I wanted to swap broccoli for spinach on a salmon dish and add avocado.
Instead of saying ok and getting $26 out of me he wouldn't swap the two greens, instead wanting to charge me $4 for the spinach and complaining he would get yelled at by the kitchen. I'm pretty sure he owns the place, as such could have made the call.
So now he gets nothing and we don't come back.
Over priced, inflexible, arrogant and most of all GREEDY.
Jess
Great brunch and coffee spot. Great setup when the front windows are open. The baked eggs are a favorite, need more bread to mop up the sauce.
Sensaikai
Breakfast here is fantastic. We got the fritas and lola. Black pudding was pillowy and full of flavour, patatas was surprisingly light. Baked eggs were just right, with the beans, carrots and chorizo coming together very well.

Fantastic service!
Amazing cocktails!
And wonderfully delicious vegetarian food 10/10

Would highly recommend
Great atmosphere and relaxed vibe

Not bad but not amazing. The coffee is fabulous but my poached eggs were hard as rocks. It's overpriced for what it is. Service was absolutely lovely though, and would love to check it out of an evening for drinks and tapas.

Been here twice now, unfortunately after 2nd visit my impression has gone down.

Firstly tired their French toast and loved it! Don't forget to add the coconut sorbet, it finishes dish off nicely, and not overly sweet.

2nd visit tried their Ensalada de Pollo. Grilled chicken with a salad resembling coleslaw. The mayo just made it heavy, but the addition of mango and pomegranate was delicious.

Unfortunately the Vegetales a mi Manera did not go down a treat for my friend, finding veges over cooked.

Overall found the prices to be high for what you get on the plate, though would happily order that French toast again. Staff were amazing and the coffee is great.
Pretty average food at unjustified prices. The food suffers from the most basic of problems, including lack of seasoning and lack of acidity. The croquettes for example, although tasty, would have been infinitely better if kissed with some lemon. The vegetable stack was cold and would have loved some heat and a sprinkling of salt. Such a shame!

Havnt been here since the old owners

Barista seemed like he knew what he was doing but then he Made me a long Mac which was so weak I couldn't drink it. Won't be back again.

Wanted to charge a $1 fee for use of credit card. No wonder why place is always empty.

I had a chicken salad very dry advertised as chicken fillet with apple and mango salad
NO mango ay all. Chicken so dry I could not cut it with my knife very disappointing.

After 2 failed attempts to find somewhere for brunch on a busy Sunday afternoon in Seddon, glad to find Lola, as the food and coffee were very enjoyable. Little mix up with the coffee but nothing to stress about, easy fix. The Huevos De Salmon was beautiful - superb combination of apple cider hollandaise, cured salmon and perfectly poached egg. However, friend of mine ordered gluten free bread and was served regular sourdough. Bear in mind, the overall experience based on service, food and coffee was great.

Visited during a weekday with my six year old and felt very welcome. We had Bircher muesli and a strawberry milkshake which were both lovely.
Codaholic
Cool local cafe with an interesting Spanish menu. Got the Huevos con Salmon. Brocollini was an interesting breakky food, but cooked to perfection. The apple cider hollandaise was very good, but could've had a bit more!

The place is ample, with a large seating area and a great ambience and patrons of all ages although heavy sided on 30+ people and families, perhaps because it was Sunday.

I visited for breakfast, and I was happy to find a huge list of breaky dishes, some of them with a clear Spanish influence.

I ordered the vegan breakfast with an added egg and it was very good. Simple, well cooked and satisfying; the egg was perfectly poached.

The coffee was great, right how I like it, strong but not bitter, perfect without sugar, and well prepared.

The staff were very welcoming and the waitress who attended to me very attentive.

I want to go back for lunch and try something more Spanish.

Beautiful little restaurant!! Great food, Friendly service, amazing coffee! Authentic Spanish experience. I recommend it to everyone! Will go back soon for his patatas Fritas and huevos a la Lola yummy!!

I've heard about this Cafe, but I visited just today. Located in the Seddon, the Cafe is very spacious, and has a large communal table, several couples tables, and very cute decoration.

If you are a coffee addict, the smell of the coffee at the counter is just perfect. They prepare a very good coffee, best skinny latte in Seddon. They have a good selection of savoury and sweet treats. I had a lemon tart, which was absolutely divine.
Wizofaus
Coffee was decent (as good as you'd expect anywhere), and maybe some of the other dishes were better, but the Vegetales a mi Manera was about the most uninteresting dish I've ever eaten, and to pay nearly $18 for the "privilege" would not inspire me to ever go back.

A tapas retreat in the heart of Seddon. Perfect for a warm evening in Melbourne. Light and delicious Mediterranean style street food works perfectly with the cool atmosphere of the restaurant. Friendly service. Would recommend for families with kids (kids area) and groups/couples for an easy night out

Love Lola! We're regulars there and can't fault much about the place. Lovely staff, great menu, excellent coffee and a great play area for the kids! The Pan Con Jamon is my fave! Must be tried.

Phenomal food, great atmosphere, prompt service. We had a selection of tapas - try the Albondigas. Si quieres comida de la España, venga aquí!

Amazing cafe! Great food, people and variety. Perfect location with amazing staff and delicious meals! Nice outside area too! Highly recommended to all!

Great chillies wow wow.

Been twice now for breakfast, and yet not set foot inside! Outside tables perfect on a cool but sunny Melbourne morning. Best soy cappuccino in Seddon, and a really interesting breakfast menu with its flavours of Spain. Great service, delicious, fresh food. Our new local favourite.

I had the best calamari I have ever eaten for $17 at Lola's. It was so tender, cooked to perfection. Stunning. It's worth going just for the calamari!!

I agree service is a bit hit & miss. I had to fetch my own menu even though they weren't busy at all - most tables were empty. I ordered a coffee when I first sat down which arrived promptly & then I didn't see a staff member again until I finally managed to get someone's attention to order from the menu I got up & got myself. This is a sign of inexperience and should hopefully resolve in time.

I applaud them for offering a gluten free bread option but asking me to pay $3 for one slice of the cheapest commercially made GF bread, when the entire loaf only costs $5, is plain theft.
Augustas Gloop
Only been here once but that was enough. Terrible service. Even worse food offering. Ordered the baked eggs which surprisingly only took a few minutes to come out......of the oven?Sure?? Molten hot, with way too much salty tomato sauce. Very sweet sauce that seemed like it was not house made. All ingredients very salty and disappointing in terms of quality. I only ate a small amount and pushed the rest around the plate and finally asked for the bill. Waiter finally took them back to the kitchen after i said they were a bit runny and salty. But when my bill came i was a bit surprised as i was still expected to pay for food i did not enjoy or eat. Come on Lola.....Spanish food is not really that groundbreaking or particularly innovative so dont assume if you build it they will come. Us Westies know our food so dont sell us short!
Kat
Ordinary sizing for price, staff could do with lessons in manners ,flavours ok,coffee first one great second not.But can't afford to eat here,
Food Makes Me Happy
This place is consistently great. Both food and service are by far the best in seddon. Keep up the great work Lola team and see you soon. Thank you
My fiance and I went out for a late breaky (27/09) we sat in the sun and we were greeted warmly with helpful staff. We got a couple of coffees, i had Jambon, tomatoes and cheese on sourdough which was great. My fiance had the baked tomatoes which i pinched the mushrooms off her plate which were pretty good too. I am looking forward to going back and trying Tapas soon.
Carolina
such amazing food! Food was fresh and so tasty! I will totally be going back here! coffee was also so good.. if you don't go for the food go for the really cute waiter!

Cozy little place with quality food and good service. Make a booking if it's a popular night like Friday or Saturday. We have been here a number of times and the food is always great.

Fantastic food. I was lucky enough to bag a table in the sun and everything went well from there. The waiter was attentive and polite despite being run off his feet. His delicate lady hands deftly arranged the table and slid coffees onto it with nary a drop spilled.
I cant recall the name of the dish i had. Huevos something Fritas. It had delicious blood sausage and some sort of drizzled vinigarette. I licked the plate clean and marched off down the street with renewed vigour.
I shall return to this place with others. Hurrah!
Mel Savic
The cafe itself is very comfortable and staff friendly. The food is spot on all the right combinations of flavour and coffee is nice. Would recommend to others.
Nathaniel Slater
Over priced, undersized paella. Ordered 3 single and they brought out 1 that was supposed to feed 3 when in reality barely enough to feed 2. When quizzed they showed us their single and for 3 pan which was only twice the size yet still charged us 3. Then when we asked to only pay for two they seemed offended, even though I actually said the food was nice she offered no amount of friendliness that comes with working in hospitality. Very disappointing because paella after all is just a rice dish so the extra expense of about 50c of rice for their $27.50 price tag should be reasonable. Won't be going back until they fix their portion control
Not My Bread And Butter
For the past few weeks, the sounds of hammering and paint fumes have been seeping upstairs to my yoga classes at the Australian Yoga Academy from a closed and newpaper-windowed Chicco restaurant below. Then suddenly the new girl in Seddon was revealed – Lola. Whilst Chicco was brash and bubbly, Lola is sultry and sophisticated. Somewhat sadly, the Ganesh mural is gone from the rear wall but has been replaced by a Spanish-looking chick, Lola? There are new Spanisheque pictures on the walls, and the yellow striped outdoor umbrellas have been replaced by a more mature navy umbrella. Otherwise the restaurant looks unchanged. The gorgeous wooden bar with Mountain Goat beer on tap remains as does the polished concrete floors and wooden furniture.
