😱Lizzie’s first impression: Ive past this place many times but never had a chance to try so I was pretty stoked when deliveroo offered delivery.
🍩Lizzie enjoyed: I chose the classic dishes; pad thai, green curry with chicken and roti bread. Pad Thai was a massive portion and was really flavoursome.
Green curry was really creamy which I enjoyed and it was delicious.
🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: The roti bread was not crispy and was a little hard by the time it arrived to us, but nonetheless paired very well with the curry.

One of the few Asian offerings in Seddon, Thai on Charles was a pleasant dining surprise.
First impressions it’s a small quiet understated restaurant compared to its local counterparts, but don’t let that deter you. The beef salad was nicely flavoured, balanced between sour, salty & sweet. Ended off with the banana fritter which was delicious & they don’t use normal bananas, but the authentic Thai recipe using Burro Bananas. By the end of the night we noticed the specials board & saw all the amazing choices we could have had...well for another night, will surely be back!
Came here last Friday because I was feeling quite hungry after training and this happened to be one of the first restaurants I walked in too. To be honest, I initially wanted to leave because I walked in and the restaurant was quite empty -however the dude at the counter saw me so I was too chicken to leave. I ordered a pad Thai with beef ($12.90). I thought it was nice . I guess I shouldn’t have judged it on first impression .
On another note, on Zomato it says this place is only open during dinner time when it actually opens during lunchtime too. Might want to change that , so you may get more customers :)

The food was really good, I have come here a fair few times and if never seems to disappoint.
The roti bread is always a winner for me :)
Had 3 courses everything was cooked fresh and hand made nothing frozen. We had samosas veg. Hand made. Green chic ken curry so fresh. Chicken cashew nut awesome. Freshly made banana fritters to die for. Such a pleasant and friendly place they could not try harder. Well done.

I was immeditatley drawn as soon as i saw Thai on Charles, lucky for me the restrauant we were meant to go to was close and TOC was open. The restrauant was empty apart from another couple, though it was a nice peaceful change from the usual loud atmosphere of a crowded restaurant, also it being quiet meant the staff was attentive so we received really good table service. We didn't have to wait long for our food despite the fact that there were quite a few take away orders.
Thai food is my favorite cuisine and I am so glad that I found a restraunt closer to home that serves delicious authentic thai food. The green curry taste exactly the same as you would have in Thailand, it was perfectly balanced between sweet and spicy, very delicious. We also tried the fried wontons with plum sauce, though the wontons had very little filling it was still very delicious and cheap at $4. We also had the grilled tofu with the satay sauce, the sauce was the real stand out, it was full of flavour and complimented the tofu well. For dessert we tried the banana cooked in coconut cream which was served warm and was very delicious, we also tried the coconut custard, which was surprisingly good, though it tasted more like a cake than a custard. Overall TOC is exceptional, great authentic thai food and great service; our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Three course meal including drinks for two people cost us less than $60, very affordable for such a good feed, not only were we full but very satisfied. TOC will be our go to place for thai from now on.
Have only had takeaway from this shop, first time last night and it was quite delicious.
Ordered the thai green curry with prawns, I think it was actually "seafood" (though not stated on menu) cos there were lovely pieces of fish and mussels too. The sauce was yummy and comparable to green curry at Yim Yam (my top fav Thai place).
Service was warm and friendly.

First time to Thai on Charles and I was lucky enough to get to try some new items for the menu as part of their 14th birthday celebrations.
What a departure from your run of the mill Pad Thai and red duck curry (both personal faves but life's too short to eat the same food always). The chicken soup zinged with lemon grass and tender pieces of chicken on the bone. If they include the beef curry, unctuous pieces of beef bathed in kafir lime among other things I'll be putting this restaurant on high rotation.

Wasn't bad. Food was pretty good. Service was pretty good. Pricing was fine. Nothing spectacular, but not much to complain about (except they bought the wrong dish out for me).

My favorite Pad Thai going round, tastes very similar to the genuine pad Thais you find in Phuket or Cape Panwa.
My only negative is that the table service eating in is unacceptable, very forgetful and corkage for wine not stored cold irks me.

Very nice. The fish cake and mixed entree were nice, but what my date and I enjoyed most was the red curry, which was the right level of hotness. Will definitely go again.
Been going to Thai on Charles for the last 4 years regularly. I love eating Thai food and this place one of my favorite.

I had the vegetarian stir-fried rice and veges, the vegan roti wrap and vegetarian green curry everything was delicious !
Everything had Lots of vegetables and they were perfectly cooked, still a bit crisp , no soggy old Vegies that I've had from take out in the past which I know travel takes some responsibility for but not thai on Charles!

undoubtedly one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been to. the food is phenomenal and service is fantastic. Frank and the team take such good care of the customers while also providing insanely delicious Thai cuisine. my friends and I have only been here twice but we will be returning many more times in future. so happy we discovered this hidden gem 😍
Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. Vegan and meat dishes available. Satay stir fry vegetables was really delicious: variety of greens; good balance between sweet and savoury. The Tom Yum soup isn't as memorable but I'd order it again anyway.

First time here on a Sunday night and the place was empty. We popped in for a quiet dinner and surprisingly enjoyed it. We ordered the entree platter, tom yum soup, green curry with coconut rice, and the spicy papaya salad. Everything was full of flavour and didn't disappoint. Only let down was the long wait for food to come out, which was probably caused by all the take away orders throughout the night.
