What a lovely cafe. The staff and owner are so friendly. After going here with my vegan sister I have decided 'I could be vegan' if I ate here all the time.😊 the food is so nice, and makes you feel good. All the produce is sourced locally and they even support local primary schools. The decor is so cool. Don't forget to 'look up' when dining you'll be surprised. Or you can look out at the next door plant store. A great location to go for a nice walk along the beach after.

I've wanted to try Sarah's Sisters for years but never got around to it! Fortunately I had an opportunity recently and I'm so glad I took it. The crepes were delicious. My dessert was the start of the show for me - carrot and walnut cake. I'm a huge fan but this was the best I've ever had! I love visiting vegetarian cafes that help me realise that vegetarianism can be tasty and filling.

I decided to give Sarah's a try to check out the vegan options. What impressed me about this cafe was not so much the food but the service. The cafe was close to full and there was only one amazing staff member taking orders, taking the food and drinks to the table, and making the coffee. People had to wait quite a while but the whole time he made sure that you felt noticed and acknowledged. His service was amazing and I could not see that there was anyone who was annoyed about the wait to order. Once the order was taken, the food arrived quite quickly so the kitchen was obviously well staffed and organised.
The cafe itself is set at the front of a plant nursery which makes a very pleasant backdrop to what is quite a small space yet seating potentially about 35 people. Despite this, it was not at all noisy and although a little hot, there were cafe blinds that, if open, would have let in the air. The decor is unusual and there is a canopy rather like a big circus top hung with retro items. Art work displayed on the walls added to the quirky/retro ambiance.
The spinach and cheese crepe with lemon and herb sauce was like a good quality home-cooked meal. It arrived hot and stayed that way, and was tasty and enjoyable to eat. The iced coffee was made with almond milk (which I requested) and was a standard style with ice-cream added.
Summary: service on the day I was there was exceptional considering the fact that they seemed to be short-staffed. Parking is easy along Semaphore Road and parking close to the beach and then walking a few blocks up to the cafe gives you the chance to explore the other businesses along Semaphore Road. Menu is limited to a few choices but what is there is good. The dishes that other customers were eating looked well presented as was mine. This cafe is not about artisan, hipster food - more about healthy home-style options. Worth a try? Yes - I would go again even if just to experience another menu option.

Sarah's sister's sustainable cafe is located in the heart of semaphore heading away from the beach. It's such a quaint and cosy cafe serving delicious, wholesome food, all vegetarian and mainly locally sourced. Don't be put off by this as the food is delicious and flavour filled. The service is polite and attentive. Breakfast is always busy, especially on the weekend. It's also really nice to wander around the nursery and garden centre attached to the cafe after you've finished your meal. Give them a go and support local, you won't be disappointed

Finally tried this place purely for the name and I'm so glad we did becoz it was great! Bit small, and may have thought the tables went to the outside of the garden centre without the barrier, but was still lovely sitting in the area overlooking the greenery.
The food was an interesting menu and was very tasty that I want to go back to try more. I tried the Spinach Crepes and they were actually beautiful! And the Mummabear had the special of Pumpkin Lasagne, which I also tried and was lovely. Wine was deelish and the carrot cake yumbers! Staff were lovely too. 😊👍

I have to say Sarah's is one of my favourite restaurants, they have THE BEST soups I have ever had, the degustation is fantastic - I've that you don't choose your meals it's a surprise and they make a great effort to be sustainable - can't recommend it enough

A view you can - really - buy. This place ticks all the ethical boxes - vegetarian, vegan on request, low travel miles on the food, ethically sourced and so on, but they wear it lightly. It's just something they do rather than a political statement. (Well, all right, it is a political statement, but not one they ram down your throat)

We wandered into the garden centre next door and after a pleasant time looking at pot plants and water features we wandered throught the connecting door into Sarah's Sisters for coffee and cake.

Welcoming service, good food, nice drinks and a view out into the garden centre that is a pleasure.

We need to go back for a real meal because the menu looked pretty enticing.

And almost certainly the only cafe/restaurant in Adelaide with a built-in macaw (Well, yes, the kiosk at the Zoo, but I said cafe/restaurant!)

Great food! We got the degustation and a bottle of wine for 2 and were chockas by the end, but all great food! Cool funky decorations inside, only suggestion would be louder music, there were only 3 tables taken when we went there and was a bit quiet, could have used a bit more atmosphere, but the food and service was great.

So delicious, you forget it is all vegetarian.. This hidden little gem is located halfway down Semaphore Road, in a quiet and comfortable spot. The shop front misleads you to think it is a small boring cafe, but the surprise is further inside. Hidden at the back is an artistic and serene decking, looking out to the views of the beautiful nursery. You get a sense of the French country side mixed with quirky decor, further adding to the beauty of this Adelaide's well kept secret.

The food itself was a delightful experience. The breakfast platter consisted of lightly crumbed eggplant, the most beautiful grilled tomatoes and red peppers, mushrooms and beans all seasoned to perfection. The biggest thrill was the all day special - 2 delicate stuffed crepes, filled with tender asparagus and topped with lemon cheese sauce. This dish, although delicious, is a small serving and so it is advised to add a serving of either the famous grilled tomatoes or for the hungry an eggplant stack.

The service was particularly quaint and pleasing. The gentleman serving added to the genuine qualities of the restaurant. Although relaxed, the waiting service for food was efficient.

Even meat eaters will find the sustainable cafe's menu quite pleasing.

Amazing food, great service and wonderful, friendly atmosphere. Sit outside and watch the people of this lovely Adelaide seaside suburb walk by with their four legged friends, or sit out the back, overlooking the flowers, plants and waterfalls of the garden shop. Fabulous!!!

Amazing dinner by Adelaide's institutional restauranteurs. Lovely happy staff on arrival with Stewart in toe to greet us at the table and offered to feed us at his peril and did he what!
Truly memorable alla southern Italian vegan esque

Really tasty breakfast, funky decor and friendly staff. Great place to go for a sunday morning breakfast. Coffee's were great, cheap breakfasts for the price, had the tomato & cheese crossants which were amazing for the price. Staff was friendly and decor and atmosphere outside is funky and relaxing... Will be making a regular habit of going there.

Best Vegetarian restaurant in SA. I love this place. All of the food is wonderful. Somehow the chef makes things I normally do not like (e.g stuffed tomataoes) delicious. It is a truly magical place. The surroundings are beautiful and it is lovely to have such a good vegetarian restaurant in SA.

A favourite. Have been going to Sarah's since they were at Port Adelaide - it is one of my favourite restaurants. I like the fact that it is like going over a friend's place for dinner - you don't have to worry what you are going to choose as the chef chooses for you and I have never had anything I haven't like yet. I love the owners Stuart & Marion's love of good vegetarian food and the set up at Semaphore with the gazebo in the nursery is a lovely setting to enjoy a relaxed evening out.

Skahshuka eggs are a middle eastern style poached eggs dish served with a tomato based sauce and bread. Every other time I've had it it has been served in a small pot or pan but Sarah's Sister's came on a plate. I did find the flavours a bit more toned down than I would have preferred but it was still a nice dish, moderately spiced with nicely cooked eggs, the tomato not too mushy and a sweetness compliments of the onion.
