Review Tabla Indian Cuisine - Shailer Park

You know the food is good when you forget to take a picture and you’re almost midway through your meal! Ordered a mild muttar paneer vegetarian curry, and got that. Winning. Nothing baffles me more than a chef, especially in an Indian restaurant, cannot make a mild curry. Not every curry has to be spicy, full of masala, and just generally a burning dish. I’m happy to report that Tandoori Village got it right, and it was tasty. Their naans are really good; like top-notch, they’re not doughy and under cooked and so tasty. Happy to support a local business, that has great service and ambience, and we look forward to returning again.

Little bit disappointed, the reviews weren't to bad and I thought I would give it a go. The curry's were very mushy and wasn't cooked very nicely. It was like paste. The nan bread was doughy in the middle and burnt on the outside. It also arrived cold. I spoke to a lady and she was lovely and apologised. Then when I got put onto the Manager he would not here any criticism. He just argued with me and said the food was not cold and the curry was not mushy. He just sat there and argued with me and acted like I was making it up. He was very rude and I am not very happy with the food or service we got. Probably won't be going back .

This was at 3pm, looks like they were too lazy to clean up after the last night. This should go Queensland government to the health department to investigate this disgusting restaurant. The owners must be grubs, to leave food everywhere on the floor on the tables yuck. No way I would let my dog in there to eat.

Best Indian this side of Brisbane. It can get busy, so booked a table prior. It can be a bit pricy if it is a couple eating vegetarian, best to have a group.

Recently visited this place. Food quality is quite good. It's a "Tandoori Village" and the tandoori options live up to its name. Perhaps the best tandoori stuff you may be able to find in Brisbane. Quantity is great. You may found the ambiance a bit gloomy though. Will surely give 5 stars if hygiene and ambiance aspect can be improved.

We opted for a banquet for 5 of us. The curry servings looked small but were sufficient for us, especially with the appetisers and dessert at the end. The breads were really nice, though I didn't love any of the curries.

1st review. One of the best authentic Indian you can have, friendly staff and good service. 2nd review as of 9/4/21 we have been here a few times prior but was a bit disappointed this time, seems like it has changed hands. The service this time was very lackluster, having to ask for a ice bucket three times and the need to make eye contact with staff just to get more drinks, come on guys this is where some of your best money is made. Food was ok but the wait for our mains was rather long seeing it was not that busy. The decor could do with a good tidy up. I must say though it must be a good indian restaurant seeing so many indians eating in the place, as they say eat where the local eat for authenticity. Price 7/10 Food 7/10 Decor 6/10 Atmosphere 6/10 Service 6/10 Value for money 7/10 Would we go back, maybe not we will however be trying and reviewing other Indian restaurants soon. This is our own personal opinion and may not be the same as others who dine at this establishment. Quality of food declined in recent few months. Ordered same dish, but tastes different every time. You need to be consistent with quality. Service is OK.
