Under new management. Having read the reviews, the ambience was better than expected and the food was really tasty and great value. Great for takeaway too. For a quality meal and good price we'll be back!
Love this place. Don't get there enough. Management are friendly and make you feel comfortable. I'm not a huge Indian fan but do love the Thai side. My sister lives the Indian cuisuine.
Let me begin by saying that I find it difficult to rate a restaurant/takeaway establishment in a suburban shopping centre any higher than a four. The ambiance is simply not there, particularly on a cold Sunday night when we are the only dine-in clients and visitors picking up takeaways let in a chilly breeze.
Having dispensed with that, let's move on to the food. Nite Spice promotes itself as an Indian and Thai Restaurant but the menu is predominantly Indian. We were given a friendly welcome and complimentary papadums upon our arrival. For entrees my wife and I shared Onion Bhaji ($6.90) and Coconut Prawns ($9.90). Both were a fresh, tasty start to our meal though the coconut was a tad hard. Moving to our mains. We had ordered Chicken Jhalfrezie and Beef Korma (both $14.90) accompanied by Basmati rice ($4.50). The serves were generous and the rice fluffy (unlike some "gluggy" offerings encountered elsewhere). The chicken was tender and moist and the tomato and capsicum sauce nicely spiced. The beef too was well cooked and the accompanying creamy sauce was well balanced. As stated, the serves were generous and, upon completing our meal, we were asked if we wished to take away the remainder. It's always appreciated to be asked rather than have to do the asking.
Residents in the Riverton area seeking a tasty, authentic Indian meal, be it dine-in or takeaway, would be advised to give Nite Spice a try.
Very good flavours, serving size and value for money. We enjoyed take away madras and Goan curries. The Goan curry sauce was SUPERB, but I did not like the fish used (I think it was Basa, the texture of which I dislike). The madras was also very nice - far above average. The poppadums weren't very nice, but they could have suffered a bit from being transported in a paper bag. Overall very, very impressed. We will eat here again.
Just enjoyed a lovely dinner at Nite Spice. Could not fault the food or service. We were welcomed by a nice gentleman with a big smile and enjoyed some delicious food. We will definitely return.
I been to nite spice with my family last. Night there food is always good and large portition too.
We order couple of dishes:-
Thai Green Curry chicken
Butter chicken
Lamb tindaloo
And more
We enjoy our food.highly recommend this place.
Service was good
Food tasted pretty yummy too but only couple complaints would be the price Vs. The portion size you get, $18 for a tiny bowl. We had a lamb curry which didn't have much meat in it either.
Naan bread was good, my drink was ok too.
All Curry For $10 on Tuesday. We love there $10 curries on Tuesday. portion Size is big, Delicious food and good service
recommend this place......
Always best. Pearl of Shelley food is always best.thay have good options in Thai and Indian food we love it.
My wife always order from Thai and I from Indian.
we both never disappointed.
Fine. Now known as "Nite Spice", we tried to use a voucher to go there a couple of weeks ago but they were booked solid. So we got their home delivery instead. Recently had the chance to use the voucher, so we have experienced it twice now. Both times I went just with the Indian offerings, being a big fan of Indian food, and I thought the food was pretty good. You can ask for the spice levels to be dialled up or down to suit your taste. I like mine with a lot of kick and they did a nice job with it. I didn't have issues with the taste or quality of any of the dishes I have sampled so far, my only complaint would be the ratio of meat to sauce in some of their curries. Service was good. It's not my favourite indian place in the area but I think I will be back at some point.
Nice home style restaurant. Having finished eating here we were not surprised this restaurant was full on a Thursday evening. It's not five star, and it's not the kind of place you would go for a romantic night out, but it's is a good and inexpensive little local eatery. The curries were ordered were lovely and flavoursome, and the naan bread fresh and hot.
The service was nice and friendly too - thank you Emma.
