Review Lysanders Cafe - Shellharbour

We visited this cafe on the 20th of Feb 2022. And I don't think we would really choose to come back again. Coffee was horrible. And I've had some bad coffee before. Our 2 coffees arrived and were so so hot. That we couldn't drink them. Our breakfast came. We ordered eggs Benny and the sweet potato fitters with salmon.. My eggs Benny was OK, but covered in sauce and it was to much. My husbands fritters were mush and the salmon was so overcooked it was painfully dry. Once we had finished our breakfast, our coffees were still burning hot. Once they were okay enough to drink. The coffee was terrible! I paid 70c and asked for a pump of vanilla to try and make it somewhat drinkable .. and it was worse! I haven't left half a mug of coffee in years.. but you can bet I left that mug. It was horrible. My husbands coffee was terrible same. Hopefully this place improves!

This was a first time for me and I thought the food was great! The scrambled eggs with a dash of pepper and salt was delish 😊 all on top of some lovely sour dough bread Pretty good value if u ask me and it is a pretty popular place so as long as u get there early enough or don’t mind crowds you should do just fine.. Service was pretty good too as well…👍

Breakfast was great , the mushrooms were sumptuous and the chai latte 👌. The staff were lovely ! Looking forward to exploring other menu options.

I literally just visited this store only 10 minutes ago and felt that I needed to express my disappointment with the staff on today. I visit here regularly for a take away coffee and normally staff are lovely. Today on the other hand the lady at the counter was so unbelievably rude, I work in retail so I try to be as polite as possible to anyone who works in customer service as we put up with enough as it is but this lady was just to much! I actually chose to leave as I just couldn’t believe it and still can’t! Her attitude stunk and I won’t be going there again.

I made a mistake with rating. I enjoyed my food and coffee. It's clean, service good. Very busy.

Drink ordered was very nice. So was the food. Only negative is the bacon had just a bit too much maple on it.

Lovely coffee and snacks,unfortunately we had to wait awhile because there was a lack of staff. But they are advertising for staff.

$19.95 for a chicken parmigiana my partner and i went there for on the 10th November 2021. I had purchases 2 for lunch and 2 LATE the coffee was great. Unfortunately the meals were very disappointing. It was so plain and tasteless, thank god there was a small ramekin of pesto to give some flavour, which didn't really go with Chicken parmy. And tomato past that was smeared under packet slice ham with dollops of cheese. I did not feel well after this lunch thank god there a bathroom close buy. I well rushing to experience anymore of there extremely limited menu. The one star is for coffee.
