Best lunches, cakes and coffee ever! All the staff are great and James makes the best WA long macch topped up. Thankyou Robyn, Linda, Pia, Morgan and James. Sandy and Beryl love their visits.
There's a few options for coffee in Shents/Subi but I can't go past Excelsior. Terrific staff, always smiling, the best coffee for miles and I'm hooked. My regular client and business partner meeting place.
Robyn and Linda at Excelsior Deli are the warmest proprietors I have come across in a long time. They take the time to greet all their customers with smiles and hellos and they have befriended many, like my family. Excelsior is not my local cafe but rest assured that whenever I visit Shenton Park I make sure that I pop in for a coffee, and I often make this my go-to to meet up with friends and family for lunches and morning teas. The food is fantastic and the coffee is great but the service is wonderful from everyone there, including Robin and Linda!
I recently read a review on Google of Excelsior that was less than favourable. I was witness to the incident referenced in the review. It was more a reflection of the reviewer's behaviour and feelings, and not a true account of what happened.
Had not returned for years after feeling that food was overpriced and mediocre. Popped in for coffee and savoury muffin. Both were good. Friendly staff taking orders and even the barista was smiley. Will definitely give this a little place another go now.
Went here for lunch with some friends and was impressed. Great atmosphere, really friendly staff and excellent coffee.
Great vegetarian options was so excited to have multiple choices! The bocconcini panini was a real highlight. The muffins and baguettes also got rave reviews.
Great service, we will definitely be coming back soon :)
Superb takeaway coffee this morning. $4.50 for a large, 2-shot skinny capp. Service was fast n friendly. Very happy.
Cabinet treats looked fresh - looking forward to a return visit to sample some of their sweets.
Meals are on the expensive side though. $13 for one piece of toast with avo, fetta and a drizzle of oil is ridiculous. $17.50 for a small portion of frittata with side salad... for that price I'd want the whole frittata. Sorry can't justify those prices even on a good day. Clearly this place is slogging its customers some rent money!
Excelsior is popular with the local trendy pram crowd so if you're partial to a quiet cup or meal to kickstart your day, maybe give this place a miss.
Trendy cafe we stumbled across whilst visiting Perth. Amazing coffees and wonderful service. From Melbourne so have high expectations for coffee and they didn't disappoint!!
Busy little local spot. Good menu and also counter options of sandwiches, wraps and sweet things. Had the avocado, feta and rosemary oil on ciabatta. A simple and delicious breakfast that arrived on a surprisingly thin crispy ciabatta.
Friendly service at this bustling little cafe. Trendy decor and great coffee. I sat with a laptop to work for a while and got free wifi here which really is a must in this day and age.
Love this place, great coffee and the best savoury muffins around. A nice addition to the shenton park community... I enjoy my morning walks here.
Awesome coffee, great service, love seeing how busy this place has become.....................................................................
Seriously good coffee. I was really impressed the first time, so I went back on another day, and again their coffee was delicious- the right temperature and a beautiful flavour. Their sausage rolls were very tasty too.
Gorgeous perfect temperature coffees. Very polite staff. We overstayed a little, not realising it closed at 4pm. Efficient table service. Thank you.
Disconcerting..... Love the coffee at this little place. I've followed Fred ( the barista) from his last place of work. However today I came in for a quick coffee and was fairly unnerved to witness the cook preparing food in the kitchen and whilst doing so shoving handfuls I food into her mouth and then continuing the food prep....
Highly unsanitary
Good Coffee. Best soy latte I have ever had!
Good little cafe in Shenton Pk. Lovely little cafe, great raw cakes. Savoury mains nice, but expensive. Coffee OK. Service was friendly and prompt the lunchtime we went there. There are not a lot of tables so could be difficult to get a table at busy times.
Delicious and healthy lunches. Must come back for something sweet.
Superb local, by far the best coffee in the area. I absolutely adore the breakfast toastie. Service can be a bit more smilier

It's been probably a month ago that Caleb and I ventured into Excelsior Delia in Shenton Park. We love going to Lake Jualbup playground. They recently re-did the playground and it now boasts a brand-spanking new playzone for both toddlers and kids. With a new climbing structure, toddler play area, swings, see-saw and lots and lots of sand, it's one of the nicest playgrounds I’ve been to. One of the best parts is the playarea is very shady. There's also a lake in the park (and a walking track around it) and lots of native/exotic birds, depending on the season. Ample parking spots as well. When you’re there next, pack a picnic mat as well as there is plenty of grassy areas to picnic around. Lake Jualbup Playground Next best thing is it's soooo close to a cafe. It's within 100m to the playground which means you can easily walk there, sit in for a cuppa, OR have one to go. I think cafes near
I chanced upon Excelsior Deli whilst running errands in the Western Suburbs the other morning. The pleasant location is accessible yet somewhat secret. A small detour from the Subiaco commercial hub, this cafe-delicatessen is positioned on a leafy Shenton Park street. I stopped in for a Soy Long Mac after observing the gadgets and damn, it was delicious! The combination of - Synesso machine, 5 Senses Compton Road blend and a moustached barista- is proving a heady mix! Smooth and creamy texture with a hazelnutty, buttery taste. Perfect with soy milk and the best i've had in months! It reminded me a lot of the stuff at The Daily Espresso Bar in Swanbourne, who guess what? - use the Synesso/5 senses/hipster barista formula too. The nifty space has seating to convenience a variety of visitors: 4 seaters, alfresco seekers, newspaper readers and a big table up the back with a bit more privacy that would work nicely for client meetings. Back table ideal for meetings There are some tidy lookin
