Review Mahal Green Olive Restaurant - Shepparton

Worse experience, smelly food, guy check taste from kitchen from another order with his finger. Check pictures of paneer. Been there few times before but this time worse experience

We had dinner at Mahal Green Olive today and the first negative thing was everything we wanted from the menu was not available, wanted to order two portions of chicken curry and the person at the counter who was the waitstaff and the cook just kept telling us that there was only one serve available to order. Almost 75% of the menu was unavailable and the man at the restaurant was rude, dirty and looked unhygienic. The clothes he had on were so dirty that my kids didn’t want to eat there. The food wasn’t bad but his appearance made us doubtful of the hygiene of the food. We walked in at 5.30 to preorder the meals for dinner. Was asked to comeback in 45 minutes so came back in an hour thinking the food was ready but then had to wait another 15-20 minutes for the food. There were no customers while we were there but it still took too long. We used to love coming here for meals but there were no waitstaff, cutlery and crockery were dirty and there were fingerprints all over the cutlery. The toilets were puttered and filthy. The hand washing sink looked like someone threw up in it. The owner keeps telling people the all these issues are due to Covid-19. But that’s not a reason for the unhygienic practice. Will never go back to this place again, it’s sad because they had really good food 😣😖😔😩

We had been here on our way back from Bright. The staff greeted us with a smile even though we were the last clients for the day. No compromise on service or food. Delicious food and cheerful faces what else would one want! Highly recommend!

Always use to miss authentic Indian food in Australia. Luckily found this restaurant which could satisfy my taste buds. Restaurant is neat & tidy with friendly staff, adding other positive factor. Keep up the good job guys 👏

Food is good and cheap. Lunch special 2 curries with rice and naan just for $12. Try their chicken Kadai and vegetable dishes. They have some room to improve on few things including communication, food handling and hygiene.

Green olive special pack(non-veg) is Very good meal, we are 4 people have a pack, although the meal looks few, totally not. We finished all food, we are going to very full!!! Taste good and will come back again!

Ordered the kadai paneer ,malai kofta , jeera rice and naan . . It was packed piping hot .. portions were perfect for 2 people .. not heavily priced , it all tasted fresh and flavourful.. Ordered few more lunches .. consistent tastes !! No complaints ..

Best Restaurant in shepparton. Everything I ordered was perfect. I wish I could give them more stars. From me 10/10 Keep it up
