Review Queen Bee Indonesian And Chinese Restaurant - Smithfield

Great little restaurant. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Food was delicious really enjoyed the seshwan beef. Free prawn crackers always seal the deal. Thank you Gawler palace will be returning in the future. Great addition to a town with very little take away options. 😁👍

Best restaurant, best food, best service. If you are looking for a friendly place, with great quality food, you will always be satisfied. We have been coming here for years and will continue for many years to come. Thanks to Kim and all the staff.

Service was friendly. The food was disappointing. Entree of Satay Beef was tough (I had to ask for a knife to cut it into edible pieces). Main of Lemon King Prawns (battered) was a good sized serving but tasted of artificial lemon flavouring. Special fried rice was quite good. I note that both dishes were cooked separately from the sauce, with that being poured over after. Entree of Spring Rolls was a little overcooked. Main of Sweet & Sour Pork was good, quite tasty. The clearing of empty plates was slow, leaving me feeling a little uncomfortable. The pricing is quite reasonable, however the quality is lacking. Wheelchair ♿ access only from Murray Street entrance. No designated Wheelchair ♿ parking.

We enjoyed the freshness of the food & friendly service. I recommend the crispy steak - delicious. Unfortunately it was unpleasantly hot in the restaurant & service was a bit muddled but it was very busy so it was understandable. Drinks were average prices & wine list is small but sufficient. Altogether a nice place for big groups who like banquets or for smaller tables needing a quick dinner.

Food and service was good, Cantonese duck and honey chicken, entrees and fried rice. Prices reasonable. Staff prompt and friendly, If i have to say anything negative they may have been a little too attentive! Definitely worth supporting this long standing gawler establishment. Covid has caused them to stop banquets but hopefully they come back.

Honestly the worst Chinese restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. All the dishes are the same, with a different frozen meat and vegetable combination before being popped in the microwave. Staff are friendly, but I don’t know who’s cooking this stuff.

We came here based on a recommendation from Spirit Magazine, the magazine distributed on QantasLink flights. It’s so nice to see a traditional Chinese restaurant that hasn’t conformed to the pressures of modernity, and has instead opted to keep with tradition. Even more amazing was the food, which was absolutely terrific! I’ll definitely be back for more!
