Review Voyage Kitchen - Sorrento

Pay It Forward
It’s not busy, it’s not hot, it’s not the weekend, and after reading some of the other reviews I’m wondering if I’m sitting in the same restaurant their writing about. The food was great, good portion size and the service was good. Iced chocolate passed muster as well. The steak breakfast was perfect.

YUMMY!!! French toast was delicious and the kids loved the pancakes. Very impressed by how quick our food and drinks arrived on a busy Sunday morning. All looked fab and tasted great.

Restaurant opposite Sorrento Beach. Nice courtyard out the back. Had a few vegetarian choices, but no vegan. I had the smashed avo which was tasty. Service was friendly and quick.

Good location, not too busy, open enough to catch the sea breeze. Our party of 5 for brunch waited quite a while then flagged down a server to ask if we’d misunderstood & were meant to order at the counter, but no, it’s table service & she then promptly took our order. Food & drinks came fairly soon, looked pretty & were a decent size. Had a juice & the hash stack - was yum, but the poached eggs were overcooked (solid - no oozy yolk), and the asparagus listed on the menu had been substituted with broccolini without notice (not sure if this was because of current supply issues, which I can understand, but if so, it should be mentioned to customers when taking the order, in case of allergies, intolerances or plain old personal preference). We were all happy enough with our orders & they allow split billing, which is helpful. Water was never offered or displayed anywhere.

This place is so disorganised. I just asked for one simple cappuccino. They gave it to me flat and when I asked to get another one in proper conditions they just put foam on top without even refilling the chocolate. What? To expensive for what u get. Rude staff specially the old lady’s. Not recommendable at all. Go to little bay better n 2’ driving from here.

Great place to stop off for a nice relaxing breakfast. Food was a good portion. Staff was accommodating and friendly customer service.

Staff friendly and efficient. Eggs Benedict quite nice. Pancakes very nice, fruit with the pancakes was nice and fresh, well worth the drive along the coast. Coffee nice. Presentation of food also very well done. Tables quickly cleaned and wiped down and set ready for next patrons.

Used to be great sadly not anymore. This seems to have happened with a lot of cafes in Perth where new owners or managers have come in. Voyage is just not what it used to be. Some great classics are gone from the menu like Norma’s Salsa (breakfast). The prices are high but the quality and portions have gone down. $22 for a small slither of stale soggy bread with some avocado and an egg. Service was fine but the menu, portions and food just ain’t what it was.

Voyage has been a favourite brunch and Sunday roast spot for many years now. In a beautiful location by Sorrento beach, it’s always busy with customers getting their caffeine fix, brunch, salads, cakes and more. Norma’s salsa (avocado, tomatoes, poached egg, herbed labne, toast) is almost a Perth institution.

Place had changed dramatically for the worst since change of owners. Once delicious menu is now bland and undercooked. I was served breakfast with a dead fly in it. The staff couldn’t have cared less. The once happy and friendly staff have all gone and replaced by rude and miserable staff. So sad to see this once lovely venue now turn to rubbish.

Everything would’ve been great if we didn’t get frozen mac n cheese croquettes. The lady was really nice to take them back and bring us a new batch but by the time they happened we had finished our food and were full. The virgin pina colada was amazing, both in looks and taste.

I’ve been here twice in a 3 or 4 times in the past few weeks. If your breakfast menu runs to 12. Make it. A few times I’ve been told I have to hurry at 11:40. Today I was declined breakfast at 11:40. Parents have kids sports etc. Please show some consideration for your customers not the kitchen. Wrong priority. Patience is running out.<br/>The lunch salad was delicious once tossed.

Love Voyage Kitchen. The vibe is always positive and the service is great with really friendly staff. Menu is great and food delicious will defiantly be back!

Super Sunday Breakfast Place. We love this place for constantly great coffee, exceptional service and delicious food. J opted for a breakfast bagel and his only complaint was too much ago. When J left the table to chat to a friend they kindly kept his bagel warm in the kitchen. I had the lemon and poppy seed bread with maple butter which was light and fluffy. I demolished it before J even returned to the table.

Disappointed - arrived for a late brunch, staff are friendly and venue is very nice (in particular on a nice summer day), but the food was terrible.<br/>The pricing is ok - unless you ordered a staple with some extra sides....$13 for ordinary scrambled eggs; $7 for 1 small rasher of bacon; $6 for 2 tiny sausages and $5 for a golf ball sized hash-brown (which was forgotten). <br/>The pricing for extras is way out of whack; so I’d recommend only getting the main menu items.<br/>I saw our food sitting ready to go for several minutes and when it arrived it was pretty much cold.<br/>All I’ve heard is great things about this place so it must do fantastic business and food (and I can’t fault the staff) - just got an unlucky day.<br/>But please reassess your pricing on extras/eggs - it’s insanity!

Visited Voyage Kitchen at 7 in the morning and parking was already quite packed. There were still ample seating but those quickly filled up. Food was decent, but perhaps just rather unexciting... They do make good coffee.

Great service and very friendly BUT it would be nice if when I order “flat” white coffee that I don’t have to get through half a cup of froth. Fortunately the lovely waitress went and filled my cup to what I paid for. Then I ordered a chai latte and AGAIN half of it was froth. Well someone’s saving money it and wasn’t me. I understand there should be a little froth but surely not half the dam cup.

Had dinner upstairs and decided to move down for coffee and cake. It was a slow winter night, and they looked like they were closing. We asked if we could have a cup of tea, and the two waitstaff on duty were more than welcoming. All desserts / cakes were packed away, however they listed all available cakes and we selected. The cakes were absolutely amazing, and huge! We were chatting for a while, and eventually the only ones there. We asked them to tell us when they were ready to leave and they said to stay as long as we liked. Such a lovely finish to our night, beautiful staff. Next time we'll be back for dinner.

Great cafe . Awesome ambiance .. lovely food and coffee . . Highly recommend this place if u are in the area .. service with a smile :) yum delicious food

Went to Voyage Kitchen for brunch. The two star rating is to do with the service and not the food. Prior to ordering, the service to be seated and to take our order was close to non existent. It was only until we waved a waitress down that we were able to place our order (close to a good 20 minutes after being seated, and at that time the restaurant was not that busy). The waitress seemed annoyed that she had to take our order and it showed with her interaction towards us! However, the star rating comes down to when I asked for my meal to be varied slightly (to have my eggs scrambled and not poached). I was told quite arrogantly that the waiter refuses to vary the menu at all - and was then told that if I choose to remove the eggs I will still be charged the same price and not given anything extra to make up for it. The meal that came out was pretty much an empty plate because of this, and although nice, I simply can not justify paying that price for that meal, especially when you walk out and are still hungry . I will be going elsewhere next time!

Customer service was shocking, the scene set by the manager not the staff who were only operating under instruction. We arrived, first time, unsure where to order then directed to an unattended till. The signs indicated takeaway, as we wanted to sit down i enquired whether it was table service- yes was the reply. Sat down and ordered coffees and things that took our fancy when at the counter. Waitress returned to tell me the pie I ordered I had to go up to takeaway line and pay separately!! I said no, please deliver it to my table with rest of order or we could go somewhere else if you like. They complied but I was then delivered a pie in a takeaway bag at the table with no plate or cutlery, after enquiring I was told managers orders. I really started to wonder who the customer was. What’s additional puzzling is that my wife ordered banana cake from the same display, no such dramas there and it was delivered on a plate with cutlery and napkin. You need to rethink your customer service model!

Had lunch here today on the hot Sunday of a long weekend. The staff showed us to a table overlooking the dunes. We were brought menus and water. My companion and I ordered soft drinks and then shared zucchini chips with dip- huge serve- possible could suffice as a meal on its own. I ordered roast vegetable salad with grilled salmon and my lunch buddy had linguini with chilli, zucchini and feta. The meals were all a good size and delicious . Paid on our way out and were tempted by the huge array of homemade cakes and slices- next time- we were full!

Love this place!! It offers great variety of dishes with lots of healthy options to choose from. They have a selection of 3 salads that they change daily and the number of times we have been there, their salads are always good.<br/>We had a $100 voucher the first time we came here and we struggled to spend it on just the 2 of us. We had 2 main meals (lunch), 2 coffees, 1 take away main meal and 1 smoothie. It is really great value for money.<br/>The crispy garlic chicken is awesome and my son ordered the breakfast bar from behind the counter.<br/>The queue for coffee on weekend mornings shows how great this place is.<br/>Only down side is the parking and the fact that we weren't able to book for a group of 20 people for a weekend breakfast.
Olivia B
Beautiful spot beachside, with a great fit out. Service was very attentive despite how busy they are! Very much enjoyed the Voyage platter, which was well priced and delicious, not your stock standard inclusions. Will definitely return to try the other intriguing menu items.
First Last
The ambiance, service and cocktails were lovely, the food timing, seasoning and missing ingredients were a bit of a let down.<br/><br/>We were here with the extended family for a milestone birthday. The drinks were quick to arrive and the service was prompt and attentive from the friendly waitstaff.<br/><br/>We ordered mainly pasta dishes as it was thursday pasta night. Unfortunately the dishes did not come out together with half the table's food arriving 10 minutes before the other half.<br/><br/>It was generally well cooked however a lack of seasoning left some dishes like the ricotta gnocci a little bland. We also ordered a special artichoke, haloumi, sundried tomato and pesto pasta which unfortunately was missing the haloumi entirety. However the gorgonzola and blue cheese gnocchi was spot on, powerful and richly flavoured.<br/><br/>Overall it was a pleasant experience let down a bit by a few misteps. We will try it again later as they may have been having an off night.
Nikki
Great service, good wine selection and delicious fresh food. Been here a few times for lunch and breakfast and never had a bad experience. As expected along the coast, it can be extremely busy on weekends but great during the week. Our table of 6 all really enjoyed our meals.
Alicia
Great venue, great coffee, however was informed by a waiter that chai has been removed from the drinks menu which is disappointing. Food is always perfect, and you can never go past the Norma's Salsa for brekky!

Came here with a friend for dinner mid week. Service was friendly and prompt. I opted for the seafood linguine, which was nice but I would have liked more seafood for the price I paid. We also shared the zucchini chips, which were ok.

Beautiful Sunday morning. Nice view, comfortable, good service, good food, great coffee and good place to catch up with friends and family. Never go wrong with this place. Highly recommended!
Tory
My boyfriend and I have been coming here for the last 4 years, and every single time we are never disappointed. Such consistent servings that are full of flavour, even when they are absolutely flat out (which they are most weekends). Such great food and good coffee too 👍🏼
India Stone
A really good place for breakfasts and dinners. The atmosphere is chilled and there is lots of seating so most likely guaranteed a spot (but still try booking before hand). Outdoor areas are sheltered from the sea breeze so you don't need to worry too much and the view of the sunset is stunning in the afternoon/night.
Natalie
Perfect location near the ocean. I go quite often but definitely prefer the lunch menu and their amazing fresh salad options. A menu with good selection!
Noodle
Came here to have breakfast but just missed the timing as breakfast ends at 12! So decided to order the club voyage. It was DELICIOUS it was tasty and full of flavor. It could have come warmer and the same for my coffee. But everything else was perfect
Krishnaa Thadeshwar
This place is always busy for breakfast <br/>They do amazing breakfast love their drinks and coffee <br/>Tried their avacado and egg for breakfast it's amazing will definitely visit here again
PacMan
Still sailing in the becalmed sea of service.....<br/><br/>I have few requirements in a post beach coffee...firstly that it is tasty, second that it doesn't take 20 mins to prepare. <br/><br/>We fell over on point 2 here and came close to stumbling on point 1. <br/><br/>The two repeat and one correction of my order was also a tad frustrating, but we got there. <br/><br/>This place is obviously a local fav, given the goodly sized crowd, but I wouldn't go so far as to say they were overly busy. <br/><br/>The coffee itself was quite good in the end though I did notice some bitterness and it was scaldingly hot. Also....$4 for a small shows location prices to me, even in the depths of WA economic depression!!!<br/><br/>But a solid, drinkable (in the end) 3.5/5. <br/><br/>Whilst waiting, and having finished the realestate section of The West and a GQ magazine (full of people who clearly never ate a breakfast in their lives, let alone one with hollandaise!), I still had time to wander back to the counter and check out the tasty treats display. <br/><br/>The usual smattering of cafe creations were there, but nothing suitably exciting to prompt me to overplay the 'diet starts monday' line. Though the passionfruit and meringue tart came the closest. <br/><br/>While coffee was ok, rest of the experience and lack of anything too exciting will probably be enough to keep me from going back. <br/><br/>That's two Voyages crossed off my list.....
Rob
Nice location, very pleasant, attentive and efficient service with tasty dishes served promptly. A little on the pricey side but not by much. Recommended.

Today I tried an iced coffee from voyage kitchen. There's a "to go" window where I ordered then waited a few minutes for my drink. Service was prompt and staff are friendly. My iced coffee was nice but there was nothing wow about it. Coffee over ice, with milk and a scoop of ice cream. I'll be back to try a hot coffee and maybe even sit out the front on the seats in the sun next time 😊 I had a park a short walk away as the parking close by was all full. The parking a used is a gravel/sand park around the corner and up a slight hill. Many other cars parked there already.

By the time I opened my eyes and looked at the clock, it was a chill morning. But looking at the warm sun, shining into my room and coming onto my bed. I knew that it was the time to call my lazy bae for a breakfast time. At this moment, voyage kitchen has suddenly popped up into my mind. This is the place where it had been stated in my “to-do list” for long.

Stunning location beach front. Had breakfast with my sons recently, ordered poached eggs on ciabatta with a side of bacon, eggs had a very acidic flavour like too much vinegar was added to water to stabilise egg whites, asked for soft yolks, eggs like boiled eggs, bacon was very close to burnt. Waitress spilt coffee on delivery, made it pretty clear by lifting cup immediately, no care walked away. Sampled my children's pancakes, quite dense, they couldn't finish. Not impressed, very expensive by the time we ordered drinks and food some $70. Wouldn't return or recommend unfortunately.

Solid as always. Good service, tasty food and beautiful coffee. The wait staff were polite, friendly and efficient. Breakfast board is a winner!!
William Ooi
Went here for breakfast and it was busy. It's not a bad place the boards look good but there isn't that much food on them. The home made hash browns taste like onion bajis and were disappointing they call them potato bajis.
Fairbruncher
The service was great, and the cafe itself is very quaint and rustic. A bit hard finding parking on busy days, but the food is good and well presented aswell. A bit pricey, but not too bad for a Sunday treat.
Foodieperth
Location spot on, service lovely, food tasty. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, even though it was a weekday morning! (Wednesday). We we seated so we had a pleasant view of the beach. We ordered the brekkie board ($21) and the vego brekkie. The food came out quickly. My brekkie board had a pea and kale croquette, house made muesli and smoked salmon and eggs on toast. The croquette was perfect, warm and crispy, and the spicy sauce was tangy and paired well with the kale and pea. The smoked salmon on eggs- The toast was so thin, the smoked salmon overpowering the eggs. However, the muesli was amazing. Covered in seasonal fruit and served with milk and yogurt, it was amazing! It was perfectly nutty and crunchy and the fruit was so fresh!
Jen Pryor
Amazing lunch and stunning cocktails. Highly recommend. Had the papadella which was sooo good. Lychee and peach margarita stunning along with the passion fruit cocktail excellent service.
Candy
Ordered a double shot soy flat white, driving home realised i had a chai latte, with the bottom of the takeaway cup full of syrup. Not sure how they got it so wrong when they even took my name. Not worth the $5 price tag. The food is usually good, altho a little expensive.
Fran
In my opinion voyage has gone downhill a little bit! <br/>The coffee tastes burnt and not the best anymore! <br/>I had the Norma's salsa and it looked like it had been splattered on my plate. It was nice but didn't look appealing! <br/>The service was friendly as usual! I will come back but hopefully it goes back to its older days!
Aninjuredcow
Great spot to eat or take a coffee , 1 of the best coffees I've had ..ordered the farm yard breakfast it very nice only gripe is I love baked beans on a full breakfast and they weren't on a side order either . Porridge and eggs on toast was great also
LittleAsianGirl
Lovely lovely place. Always busy, even on a weekday. Waited about 10 to 15 minutes for a table. Love their pancakes. Simply delicious! Love the views by the sea. Service is great here.
Al Camry
Had breakfast here last week. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Service was brilliant as well. I believe our waitress was Joanna. Well done all around. Will definitely be back.

Went for brunch on a Saturday,<br/>Busy spot but queue moved quickly and staff were friendly throughout <br/>Breakfast was yummy and big portions <br/>Lovely place for a catch up with friends and bit to eat
LOVE PERTH/AUCKLAND FOOD
Been here many times and it's consistently very very good. Fresh ingredients, skillfully prepared and presented with care. Delicious food.<br/><br/>We usually go for the Marinated Ocean Trout with chilli fried eggs however upon returning on the weekend realized it had been taken off the menu. Never mind though, the Ocean trout omelette with fennel & feta slaw was still very good and my Pea, Kale and ricotta Croquette- delicious! <br/>Being our post night out meal we opted for the Fried chicken wings also. The flavours of these were a refreshing change to the norm and meat and skin fell of the bone. Harissa and preserved lemon yoghurt went together perfectly.<br/><br/>Service is always with a smile and very professional! Thanks again :)
Bill Symonds
Great lunch was had it is refreshing to find a chef who knows how to season a meal during the cooking process.<br/>The menu whilst not extensive is well balanced however the desert offering is vast and a pleasure to consume.<br/>The staff is very attentive although the resturant is a bit too noisy.
Anna K
Went one morning with some family and the line was going out the door. Super busy on a hot day, but my cousin was super pumped about this place we hung around and waited for a table. We got a nice big table in the middle of the store. The staff were really nice and friendly but the menu and the food seemed a bit average to me. My cousins and mum really enjoyed it, though.
Clio O Neill
I love this place. So yummy and friendly. And u can bring ur dogs! :) <br/>Had mushrooms and the flat bread. Worth the journey! .................
SunnySideUp
Went here for Mother's Day dinner and although the atmosphere was nice the food was just okay. We ordered the special of the night which was the roast beef and vegetables. I was quite disappointed that the roast beef was just one long thin slice of beef folded over itself. The roasted vegetables were nice but we ordered a bowl of chips to fill us up. I think I would only come back for the breakfast and not for dinner.
Missy_K
EITHER EARLY BREAKFAST OR BRUNCH by the Ocean... It's does not matter because there FOOD IS ALWAYS fresh & delicious!! 😊 I love there Breakfasts ... Especially there Scrambled Eggs & Soy Cappuccinos... 😊 Missy_K
Asian Fusion
Voyage is the ultimate relaxed brekky, lunch or even dinner spot along the coast, go early for brekky as the lines can be long. Solid wine list and you can't go past the burger!
Dayana Rowland
A hyped up over priced hippy hang out with too cool staff. <br/>Over priced and half the menu not available for dinner.<br/>I guess we paid for the view.<br/>Had macdonalds on the way home .<br/>Maybe it's a breakfast place and not a dinner place!
Sybarite
Shame this place doesn't do all day breakfast! Or have an all day menu. Several times I've come "between menus" and not had much to choose from. Mediocre service. One time I did manage to have a proper breakfast (eggs benedict) and found their menu to be quite boring/standard. Wouldn't go out of my way to come back. The place is always busy though! Is it the good food or the good location plus tourists??
Mitch The Foodie
I was on the prowl for a delicious breakfast and sadly the Voyage Kitchen didn't deliver. The poached eggs and bacon on toast was dismal and the eggs came out hard boiled. However, the buttermilk pancakes with berries and mascarpone would've saved the day had the pancakes not been so dry. Having said that, the smell of disinfectant wofting through the dining area as the staff cleaned the toilets is what pushed me over the edge. Despite this unfortunate turn of events, the vibe of the restaurant is fantastic with wonderful views and friendly staff.
Betty Boo
Always a good feed here and friendly staff! Can never go passed a Norma Salsa and juice! Sometimes I find the coffee quite bitter so don't get an extra shot like I usually would
EMMA
Went for a quick breakfast with the partner and had the Norma's Salsa breakfast. Unfortunately my poached eggs were hard which was a bit of a let down but other than that everything else was great especially the coffee! Will probably be back again maybe to try dinner next time.
The Food Enthusiasts
Voyage Kitchen is a local favourite for the residents of Sorrento, located conveniently right next to the beach. Their philosophy is to provide fresh homestyle food, whilst creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for the local community.
Claudiaperth
I have very mixed feelings about the voyage. The food can be great eg the chicken wings today or awful eg the mixed salad today. The salad had hardly any dressing and was plain boring. For 20 $ not good. And I still can't understand why it is impossible to have a small side salad with a small main. <br/>Same mixed feelings about the staff: our main waitress Chelsea was lovely. The lady who brought the coffee was plainly rude, no eye contact, asked a question and didn't listen to the answer, just put the coffee in the middle. The checkout couldn't split a bill in half and put on 2 credit cards. Good service is something else. There is a certain atmosphere of arrogance in that establishment.
Bradley Yates
Went for dinner last night on a whim as we were all BBQ'd out. What a lovely surprise. Was going to a different restaurant in the same building but were closed for a holiday. So as a walk in the head waiter big smile found a table for four even though they were busy. The staff were attentive and only too willing to answer questions. The meals were generous and filling. For a first timer I will be back for more.
Monica Kolundzija
Norma's Salsa was the bomb diggity. Location is great, right on the beach. Service was good, no complaints there. One of the best brunches I've had, and I'm from Melbourne!
More Than Nourishment
I got the paleo muesli which I have ordered several times in the past. Since I can't have dairy, I asked for no yoghurt and almond milk instead. It came out with about two tablespoons of milk which I poured over the dish. I then asked for more almond milk which the waitress told me that they don't have almond milk. I was confused as this is what I had ordered and she didn't say anything. The waitress then found out it was normal milk and advised she did not hear me order the almond milk. They gave me a new dish which was given to me by another male waiter. He then rudely informed me that I should advise them of any intolerances in future. My colleagues were shocked about how rude he was especially as it wasn't my fault that the waitress didn't hear my order properly. I have ordered this dish several times before with no issues. To infuriate me even further, they charged me extra for the milk despite not having the yoghurt. Isn't milk cheaper than yoghurt??! So ridiculous!
Dizko
Really really nice food and coffee. Absolutely great place with the shore front as their doorstep basically. Hard to fault only that on weekends super busy almost avoidable at peak times but does have a highly useful takeaway window!!
PerthfectBreakfast
The service here is always great and attentive and keeps me coming back but the food itself is okaaay. Can be a bit of a wait when it's busy. I always enjoy their buttermilk pancakes with berries, delicious vanilla mascarpone and maple syrup. <br/><br/>Have been here for dinner a couple of times and I rate their dinner over their breakfast. Love their roast dinners and pastas mmm.<br/><br/>Would dine here any day over White Salt though. ick.

Good food but wish they wouldn't cram you so tight! Felt like a sardine and could hear the table next to us conversation! Loved the halloumi salad

I have always loved Voyage, since it's very beginning.. Mainly for breakfasts! Huge bowls of Mocchalicious and incredible gourmet sweet treats - I could never choose between the blondie and the brownie! BUT on my last lunch visit the lamb ragout pappardelle was absolutely out of this world! Love!
Sarah Comiskey
Had dinner here last night and everything was perfect. Couldn't fault the place. They gave us a table at the last minute without a booking, 15 minutes from when the kitchen was due to close. The Atmosphere, ambience, service and food was top notch! Definitely worth trying 😊
Izzy Alyce
Such a wonderful location near the beach, my partner and I and his dad came here for breakfast one morning. It was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals!
Marcus Lim
Pleasantly surprised. Went for dinner, and loved the organic / fresh menu. Food service was pleasant, and the quality of the food was great. Initially thought the menu was a tad restricted, but what we ordered and ate was 10/10.
Adammie
A very good local breaky/brunch spot for people living around the Hillarys area. It is always packed and full of energy! A decent breaky menu and the food is always decent not to mention the lovely ocean view if you are lucky to sit near the outside area. Would recommend!
Queen Of Bad Timing
Voyage Kitchen is a great spot in the heart of Sorrento, with beautiful sweeping views of the ocean. The food on offer is fresh and tasty - though on the slightly expensive side. I like that their breakfast menu has both traditional order items, but also some left of centre for variety and to suit all tastes.
Briezer
Extremely packed and decided to order from the kiosk part and sit on the black tables ouside instead of waiting for a table inside. Coffee came out exceptionally fast and one of the best I've had in a while, food was amazing! Good serving sizes and value for money, great staff and customer service- Definitely come back here again.
Perth Food Blogger
Lovely breakfast, coffee is also quite good, especially with the lack of competition in the area.<br/><br/>The wait is generally too long to get in, which is a major let down.<br/><br/>Great spot on the coast road, close to the beach
Emily Tan
It was a very busy Sunday morning for breakfast or brunch as usual. However, we got our table and service very quickly, within 5 minutes. It's a very spacious restaurant and able to accommodate a lot of customers. Family and kids friendly as well!! Great environment and don't feel packed. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Ordered voyage veggie patch and farm yard full breakfast. It's a great place for large group dine-in.
Jonathan Lee
The food is great, we dine here often. The food is ever so fresh and the produce is the freshest and tastiest you can find. The prices reflect the quality of the food! The lamb rack was tasty and the pork belly was to die for. Crispy crackling!
AliEatz
Coffee wait time is unacceptable considering they have two large machines and several baristas on, especially on weekends. Hot pot, roast night and dinner in general are always good. Evening staff are also a lot more accommodating. Brekkie and coffee ain't worth the wait!
Emma H
Been there a couple of times, really good vibe, food a bit pricey but it is good decent food.  Can be a bit noisy with so many people in there but never to the point where you have to shout. It is always busy which is a good sign.Would highly recommend for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Nice views.
Kirsty
They do one of the best breakfasts in Perth! Generous portion sizes and very tasty. The staff are really accommodating too. Only downside is that it gets so busy and can be difficult getting a table.
LifestyleByLily
Voyage is in a fabulous location with sea views. <br/>The menu offers great variety throughout the day and I've never been here and not seen it busy.<br/>Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is good!
Eloise
Three of us went to this establishment last night and it was gorgeous! A lovely atmosphere, warm and stylish. We shared a bottle of house red which was lovely. My dish was the pork belly which was amazing! My friends ordered the ragu pasta (first taste lovely but dull as a dish on its own) and the fish. The fish was beautiful, light and full of fresh flavours. But my fish was the winner. Will definately be going back. Hopefully<br/> the waitress will have less of an attitude next time 😉
Jacob Watkins-Kerr
The coffee here is superb. They use 5 senses coffee which is a brilliant blend that I have also had at other cafes. It really makes a difference. <br/>There is always a wait for tables but that is okay given the food is so nice. A bit pricey but still worth it. The poached eggs were divine. Wife was a bit disappointed with the smoothie as it was lacking flavour. Also the chips are definitely not worth it, thought we could feed them to the kids but had to send them back as some of them were cold and half were soggy. However the rest of the food was really nice and they apologised profusely about the chips. Not a place for the kids but still nice. 06/15<br/>-------------------------------------------------<br/>Returned to voyage this afternoon on a beautiful hot Perth day and all staff should be congratulated on the atmosphere and attention to detail they provided. Cool drinks immediately given, nice prompt yet friendly service and divine coffee. <br/>The mixed grains and vegetable salad is nice and exotic, well worth the $20 price tag expected at places like this overlooking the ocean. <br/>Lovely lunch spot!
Patrick Florider
Ordered a bowl of chips. 3 chips out of the entire bowl were completely frozen. Yummy. Waitress was apologetic, That was it. Iced coffee was expired or something because it tasted like sewage. Yes i have drank sewage.

Wow, Voyage never disappoints.  Sister over from Sydney so figured I'd take her somewhere I was confident in.  Voyage is amazing - I know why this place is busy. <br/><br/>No booking, no problem.  Was happily seated in no time.  Round of coffee and ordered our breakfast  - Norma's with bacon on gluten free bread - truly a gift from the Gods of Breakfast.  Eggs poached perfectly and the yolks so bright - impressive.  Gluten free bread is beautiful - not the usual toasted cardboard and my request for gluten free was handled with a smile and "sure thing".  <br/><br/>Sister had the scrambled eggs and hashbrowns.  Those are some seriously good eats... Makes those flat odd shaped ones from the gold arches - "M"  seem well, flat and odd!<br/><br/>I noticed they sold eggs and the gluten free bread at the front counter and I was drawn to them.  "CharCol Springs" was the name on the box - I haven't seem them anywhere since :-(.<br/>They also sold lots of neat little treats of which I purchased way too many of them - kids happy for at least 2 days now!<br/>Gluten Free bread was from New Norcia (its now my #1) and coffee is 5 Senses apparently blended just for Voyage!  Seems only really good stuff used here.<br/><br/>Will be back.  Worth the wait.  Thanks again.<br/><br/>I don't normally post anything since its rarely accurate but on checking out Urban Spoon I read the first few reviews. Place deserves every happy compliment it gets.<br/>  ;-)

We've had breakfast at the Voyage Kitchen multiple times and it has always been enjoyable - but take note that if you dine here on the weekend, there are no reservations and you will most likely have to wait for a table. We don't mind waiting and the longest we've had to wait was just under 20 minutes. Once you are seated, the service is fast but still friendly, drinks and food arrive within good time. We enjoyed the farmyard breakfast, buttermilk pancakes and voyage breakfast board. Overall the breakfast was absolutely delightful as per usual. Check out the full review via our blog link.

Really disappointed by my last visit here. The time before I vowed never again due to the attitude of the staff but was convinced by my sister to give it another go as despite the near consistent snooty attitudes the food is yummy. <br/>Went in for dinner. Now it says 'vegan friendly'. Friendly it is not. They have one vegan main option which is a salad (which is really delicious) but being dinner i was after something warm. I asked the waiter if i could have the parpardelle with a tomato sugo from another dish and after briefly consulting with the chef was just told no. I asked why, and even he had the good grace to look embarassed "he just said no"<br/>I know that changing meals up is a pain in the butt, but most places are really nice and friendly and invariably say stuff like "ok leave it with me ill see what we can whip up" All i wanted was pasta and sauce. Both were already available in other dishes. And i cant imagine a place like voyage had big vats of premade ready mixed meals. I wasnt after a dish from scratch. Really inflexible. <br/>On the plus, the waiter was nice and the host was super friendly (which is a major change. Usually youre treated like youre doing them a favour by being there)<br/>Think ill forego my weekly coffee there for a while.

The only downfall to this gem is having to wait up to half an hour for a table on weekends. Other than that - Love. Beautiful hot coffee, breakfast menu is devine and I love that you can customise your meal to suit.

Always a winner. Consistently good food, and great atmosphere. Service can be hit and miss and you should always book a table. Take you dog and grab a table out the front!

Went here for breakfast and was not disappointed. Friendly staff who got our meals and drinks to us quickly despite the busy floor, and great coffee. Muslei plate was perfectly presented and tasted awesome.

Very disappointed. The latte was all milk and froth and weak coffee. Then the tart of the day was not cooked....hard to even write this, as the thought of that runny mush makes me nauseous. I suppose this was just a glitch, but I do think this place has lost its super well prepared and presented food standard. I hope my experience is the exception, but I'll be bypassing Voyage in the future. The manager didn't charge for this dish, but the waitress couldn't care less. I wish we hadn't joined the swarms of other hopeful diners.

True what they say? Damn right. Few friends and I came for lunch on Saturday through a recommendation. Really glad we did, had the special chorizo and pork belly with paprika potatoes great flavour combinations. Other friend had the burger, so big not eat it all said it was delicious. Also had Moroccan meatballs with flatbread, hummus and zatar poached egg - divine. Service was quick and attentative even though the place was packed. Definitely coming back.

1 hour 20 minute wait for main. They just forgot we were there. So I moved to wake them up. I was told I would not be served at all if a remained at the table. They could not swap because there were 4 of us and 6 were coming in to this table. When 4 people turned up it makes you feel very under rated. This restaurant was good but cannot cope with it's success. I've heard they are going to open another one at Elizabeth Quay. Not a good idea unless they recruit top class managers. We won't go back.

Love this place. I have never been during a peak time but get coffee or juice after a beach walk with friends all the time. Love pre ordering take away and when I have eaten in the food has been sensational. Have taken my kids here for lunch and even they thought it was delicious. Generally really lovely service too!

No customer service skills!. Walked in and was greeted and told there was a wait for inside seating i asked if we could sit outside but the waiter cut me off rufely and asked for my name to be put on the list for the inside wating. i then repeated that we were happy to sit outside. We ordered our food and sat and waited i tried calling over a waiter but no response then had to ask THREE different wait staff for some water and glasses but none returned at ALL! We then got up and got a bottle ourselves and would be told that they would bring glasses over as they were being washed But forgot about that aswell 10 minutes later (not surprised) had to ask literally a fourth time for some glasses. They then continued to bring three meals over that wasnt ours two of the meals she brung over twice double checking we hadnt made a mistake and wasnt over polite about it. When we did receive our meals one of them was incorrect and the waiter then acted like it was my fault ha! I have been here numerous times and the customer service skills havent changed. I find the food awesome but Im now never coming back. STAFF TRAINING !!! I cannot repeat that enough

Delicious & healthy breakfast!!. Took mum here for her birthday & I had the Harvest Bowl with poached eggs & chicken breast. It was absolutely delicious & the dressing was on the side so you could flavour it to suit your taste :) Mum & my brother had the Farm Yard Breakfast & it looked amazing too, they both really enjoyed it. Lovely atmosphere & great staff to top off an overall excellent experience!!

Delicious. This place is always busy and bustling. Love the breakfast, I had the Voyage Vegie Patch Breakfast. I liked their version of the hash brown and my two poached eggs were oozing perfectly when I cut into it. A great place to catch up with friends over a nice meal. I have been here three times now, twice for dinner and once for breakfast, and the service has been great each time.

Hipster heaven.. We dined early on a midweek evening on the strength of the cafe's 'gluten free friendly' claim. Service was friendly, smooth, and unobtrusive. The dInner menu is limited, especially for gluten free options, and was full of stuff that I was unfamiliar with, even though I am coeliac and have a good handle on alternative ingredients. How hard would it be to keep some gluten free pasta on hand to broaden the menu options?<br/><br/>Hubby had a burger which he rated 'very nice', and he doesn't give praise easily. My main meal fish dish was delicious and cooked to perfection, but it was a very small serve. I saw a bowl of chips going past in transit to another table which had more food in it than my plate did. <br/><br/><br/>Flourless chocolate cake for dessert was mediocre and dry, and frankly I have produced significantly better results in my own kitchen, sometimes using GF packet mixes.<br/><br/>Two meals, one desert, one coffee and a milkshake came to $90-.<br/><br/>In the main, Voyage's food is undeniably excellent. Their ingredients are of the highest quality and are treated with respect, however, their menu is targeted to a narrow demographic and the prices are verging on ridiculous. <br/><br/>If you are hungry and want a decent feed, Voyage is not for you. <br/><br/>If you want fresh, honest, simple food - 'Jamie Oliver' food - Voyage is not for you.<br/><br/>If you want fancy food that is 'on trend', lets the fresh ingredients do the talking and is perfectly prepared and presented, and if you have plenty of money to throw away on your dining experience, then Voyage is just right.
