Review Bay 33 - Sorrento

Great service and a fantastic location. Coffee was good but the food was average. Not terrible, just ok in terms of food. Definitely recommend for views and coffee.

We eat here regularly because of the position and really great, healthy food. The lady owner and her staff were so kind when I had a health issue at the table recently. Love the Cafe atmosphere combined with the restaurant class food. Never had a bad meal in 20 visits.

Happy to say things have improved here. It's been 12 months since we came. Juice is no longer served in plastic cups and wash rooms clean this time. Food still very good and staff generally friendly. Lunch was busy and they are keen for you to book. The manager made that clear.

Looks a bit like a return to the 1970s inside. 3 of us had breakfast this morning. Food was not fancy but it was tasty and satisfying. Prices were not too high. Service was great. Would be happy to eat here again.

Four of us walked in on a Saturday morning, wanting refreshments. We almost went into the quite empty restaurant but then saw a path to the tables outside, which we preferred, so we headed there and seated ourselves. There was a lady serving others and a man in the background (manager?, owner?). Another family walked in the restaurant and the lady seated them two tables from us at a table outside. The lady went and got menus for them. Another group of four walked into the restaurant and were seated and given menus and water. Finally, the lady came to our table. By the way, we were not smelly nor badly dressed and there was nothing that should have distinguished us from the two other groups that arrived after us but who got served before us. Given that it didn't look like the restaurant welcomed our business since they hadn't bothered to take our order, we simply walked out, incredulous. In hindsight, I believe it may be their way of "punishing" us for having seated ourselves - it's the only thing we can think of that was different from the two other groups. Stay away from this place if you want good customer service, it's not worth the frustration.

We have eaten twice here lunch was nice but mothers day breakfast we sat for around 15 mins when we were harassed by the owner because my son and his girfriend had not arrived and it was first in first served. Well since i was sitting there thought i was first. I was rather annoyed and felt i shouldnt order a second coffee and that i should just leave so he could turn the table to someone else. Its all about him. Bet he doesn't read his reviews. His staff were much nicer. Wont be going back.

Absolutely atrocious service !!!!! They came their collect the menus around Ten times when we told them we would like some more time to decide. The omelette that we ordered was uncooked. The man sitting on the table next door was spoken to in such a rude tone. He was an elder gentleman who had turned his table slightly to get a better view, and was told "You better put the table the way you found it before you leave". I don't understand how they could get away with being so rude. Well well well..... it was an experience

The owner and staff are always welcoming, great ambience and view, the hot chocolate and coffee is excellent, they have a great Barista. The food looks amazing have not tried it yet. I have just moved to Watermans and Bay 33 is at the end of my street what a bonus to have Bay 33 within walking distance.
