Review The Rasoi - Sorrento

Julia
Beautiful, flavourful food. Kashmiri rice was very tasty and both the butter chicken and garlic naan where exquisite. Wonderful service with a smile. Nice ambiance and pleasant decor. Very happy with our experience.

The food was delicious! We ordered the butter chicken, Rogan Josh and the chicken 65 wings. All cooked beautifully. Service staff were super friendly. If we were local we would definately make it a frequent stop

Tried to order from them 3 times, when we finally got it, it was the worst Indian food I've had EVER. Despite the 'options' on the menu, all the curries taste the same. The naan tasted like rubber, and we ordered garlic naan, and they gave us something that was neither naan nor had any garlic. Would not recommend for Indian food at all

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. They seated my wife, 5 month old baby and I at a table with plenty of room. We ordered the Madrasi chicken curry, tandoori chicken, samosas, coconut rice and garlic naan. My goodness...the flavours were outstanding, faultless. The servings were generous and the price was reasonable. They have dietary options and flags for gluten, vegan, vegetarian, dairy free. 10 out of 10 would return.

Great authentic Indian food. Take away shop at the front with cosy restaurant in the back. Wait staff were friendly when serving the curries we ordered.

Friendly staff and good quality food. Despite there being only one other table, service was pretty slow and when mains came out, starter dishes were not cleared away. If staff were a little more attentive, could have been 4/5 stars. Didn't detract too much from a nice meal though.

Extremely disappointing! Food quality is below average. Ordered Punjabi curry and Channa masala bland food with overpowering tomato taste. Had to ask to replace the chicken curry but no good. Couldn’t eat anything and left hungry. Asked for a pot of beer was given a pint

We visited The Rasoi on New Year's day. It was almost empty and very quiet. The food was average and the service was good. However, it was exorbitantly priced, almost twice than a good Indian restaurant in Melbourne CBD. The bill for two dish and a naan bread came up to $70! Overall, not recommend. You can get better Indian food at half the price anywhere in Melbourne.
