Oh so healthy. This is where I buy my Luna latte from - in the shop section. The salads are crunchy and healthy here. Do not approach if you are after saturated fats ;)
Surprisingly good! Freshly baked goodness, healthy desserts, excellent raw cakes of all kinds!! Never ate so well as here. I shall definitely return for more deliciousness!! Try their MANGO, LIME AND COCONUT raw cake... To die for!!! and raspberry and lemon myrtle?? Soooo good. Pricey though.
i love this place, such a cool freo vibe! food is super healthy and delicious, with a great variety. tried moroccan lentil soup and OH MY GOSH it was amazing! so thick, creamy and flavoursome! coffee is also delicious and absolutely beautiful. highly highly recommend, especially to the health conscious.
These salads make you want to go vegan! Fresh, delicous and healthy to boot. Dine in or takeaway but get in early as they tend to sell out by 1 or 2pm.
Love the shop and cage together although could use with a bigger space - the groceries are so fresh and love all the produce! The raw slices and coffee were amazing and staff very nice
Good quality muesli and other grains/nuts in bins -DIY. Some packaged grocery items seem expensive, however the salads and wraps at the other end of the store are better value. The cafe is pretty much one table inside and seating on the pavement. Service in the cafe section is spot on.
Very busy Cafe serving all sorts of organic, vegan foods amongst being a small grocery store as well. It's a little different to what I'd normally go for, but I was quite happy with the food. We had the Feta and Spinach roll with beetroot salad and the Frittata. Nicely made, healthy, light and fresh. Food was quite wholesome and left us satisfied and the servings were generous.
Wow this place has a beautiful visual of food as soon as you walk in. Everything is on display which makes the decision making a whole lot easier.
The only issue I had was that every single staff member kept asking me for my order which was at least 6 even though it was quite obvious I was still looking.
The food came out really fast and was amazing!!! I ordered the mushroom arancini balls and they were delicious!! The sauce that came with them was also a perfect match.
The menu is a bit confusing and for breakfast there is only 2 choices which is vegan or paleo, neither of which I wanted to order.
This place has a real homely vibe and all the staff look like they are enjoying work which is awesome!!
I recently went here to try the vegan brekkie it was all good! Decent portion size and at a decent price (for freo)
The shop also has a grocer and frozen section where you can get stuff to take home but it's very expensive
Manna have some really nice foods - the vegan pies in particular (by Gourmet Vegetarian Cuisine) and savoury muffins (they are excellent quality). The salads are seriously bad though, not sure about the chef's tastebuds, but by God they are not good (and I have tried a lot of them). Overall, I like the place, with great vegan, vegetarian and healthy options.
Manna's Thai pumpkin pie makes Freo winters enjoyable. When they're in stock, the vegan cupcakes are to die for as well. The payment system is a little tedious, but honestly, if I still lived in the area, I would be at Manna every day for lunch and to bring home groceries. The staff couldn't be more accommodating. Manna epitomises everything I love about Freo food.
No fuss, good food and even better raw salads. Fantastic artisan salad dressing. Slightly pricey but is expected for the quality produce. Paleo wraps looked good so will try one tomorrow
A huge supermarket and bustling little cafe with super friendly staff. Dropped in for lunch and was happy to see such a big menu, amazing salads and delicious treats. My lunch arrived quickly and I wasn't disappointed. Think I'll be back before they close for dinner 😋
love the salads and sweet treats. coffee is so so, but thats not what you're coming for. we also do a lot of generally shopping here as they have a great selection of products, especially for kids and natural hygiene products
Absolutely love this place! Great selections of food for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan- everything at which is of exceptional quality! Even the tad expensive prices are worth it :) will definitely keep coming back to this Freo gem- only thing that could use some improvement would be the speed that it takes for food/coffees to be ready.. But that's something minor! Keep up the great work manna
The food here is yum! It's a bit pricey at $7 for their small quiche/pastries/etc and $14 with a salad but it's all very wholesome, just as they advertise. My vegetarian frittata was superb - I liked how the roasted veggies were in big chunks and not mushy, and there was just a hint of curry. A popular place, with good reason, and there's a friendly and happy atmosphere.
The only reason for the high rating is because I like the variety of goods that can be bought at the shops. I really enjoyed the lemon ricotta cake, but found the creamy veg pie just ok, and the manna beef & vege pastie bland with too little filling. My partner didn't enjoy the coffee, and I thought the tumeric latte at nature's harvest had a better balance! But definitely a to go place for the salads and raw treats
Delish, fresh, homemade food served with a smile. Casual and very Freo - can't go wrong.
Have enjoyed many a breakfast at Manna and keep coming back for more. A small selection, but what they do make, they do very well - fresh, healthy & delicious.
The Big Veggie Breakfast with toast comes with mushrooms, spinach, tomato, home-made baked bean mix and the most delicious potato hash-brown (once again, home-made). The Paleo breakfast with smoked salmon, avocado & feta is super yummy. They cater for different dietary requirements including gluten & dairy free. Will definitely be back for another Manna breaky soon. :-)
Came here for lunch midweek. Laid back atmosphere and the staff are very chilled. Nice selection of food, all well labelled so you know exactly what you're looking at! I had the chicken paleo lunch box which was super tasty and filling. I agree with others though; the set up of paying at a different counter from where you get your food is weird!
Tried this place this morning. The seating is really cramp. I had to move to another side cos' someone was looking for a book along shelves where I was sitting next to. Not an ideal place for any group more than 2 people. I tried the flat white and the vegan big breakfast. The coffee was good and the cooked vegan breakfast was tasty. I liked the fact that the beans were not really salty and the mushrooms were cooked to perfection. After breakfast, I had a browse around the shop. Lots of interesting stuff but I didn't get anything. Wanted so much to buy the organic chips though. I have tried the blue maize chips before and it tasted alright. I would hazard to say that this is not really a place to hang out with friends for breakfast. I also didn't like the fact that I had to pay for my meals at the cashier instead of where I ordered my food as someone else mentioned. But let's face it, this is a retail shop selling organic stuff and the cafe is just an add on. Still, I was happy with the coffee and the food.
Delicious raw, gluten-free & dairy-free dessert options. I enjoyed my 'mint slice' & generous pot of tea very much. My sister said her coffee was great, as was the 'snickers slice' she tried. We went during a fairly quiet time, so it wasn't too difficult to make our way around the store, however I agree with other reviewers that the payment setup isn't intuitive. I absolutely LOVED the range of health foods stocked in the store & was particularly pleased to find my favourite brand of raw chocolate at a decent price (I normally order it online). I will definitely visit again to sample the lunch menu & stock up on health products.
Happening organic one stop shop!. The raw desserts are a must to try! A tad pricey but incredibly filling. The shop's own mix of chai tea is delish. The salads are zesty and hot foods really hit the spot. Their range of produce and organic items are broad and the staff are always cheerful and happy to help with any inquiries. Love this organic haven!
Delish Delash! Sweetlips gives it two flippers up. Can't wait to come back and try more. Thanks :)
Always a winner !!. I love this place, the food is always so fresh and delicious - no wonder it's so busy. I have been here for lunch several times and have never been disappointed. They have a wonderful selection of freshly made salads, wraps, handmade pies, a great variety of ovenfresh quiches and and a fab mediterranean pizza - then theres the gluten free cakes and sweets, something for everyone. A good selection of teas, coffees and fresh juices too. My daughter always asks me to get her a couple of the thai pumpkin pies when I go and she pops them in her freezer. The lunch 'rush' usually starts just before 12 and gets steadily busier, a lot of it is take away orders which is just as well as there aren't a lot of tables - most are outside along the pavement. The The order at one counter, pay at another and then back to the first counter to collect your order can cause a bit of congestion. The shop sells a wide variety of whole foods and natural beauty products, and this can make the till area quite busy. That aside it is well worth a visit as the food is so good and the portions great value.
I grab my lunch here once or twice a week and it's DELICIOUS... So great to have so many yummy options when leading a healthy lifestyle. They always have amazing variety and even a cabinet full of raw desserts... Possibly my favorite cafe ever! :) and you can shop for all of your healthy ingredients for your own cooking and organic fruit and veg whilst there! They have a huge range!!
The quiches are yummy, I love their vegan vegetable bakes, raw chocolate brownies and desserts are always good. And the falafel wraps are YUM!!! Also the Lebanese lunch boxes are good!
I am obsessed with their manna made granola bars.. They're so damn delicious and addictive!!
Only negative is they put red onion or spring onion in almost all of their salad/pasta dishes and eating raw onion is not a good time for your breath for the rest of the day.
Vegan Lasagne and Assorted Salads. Delicious, chunky and full of flavour. One of the best lasagnes I've tried, vegan or otherwise. True freo Gem!
Absolutely love this place! Fresh clean wholefoods on offer everytime. Love their salads!
Love it!. Delicious salads and raw cheesecakes!
Bloody amazing. These guys sure know how to bake some treats and whip up an amazing smoothie using all organic ingredients
love this place . thank you manna!
Great Restaurant!. I am extremely fussy, into healthy food & superfoods.
This place is without a doubt my favourite restaurant!
Never disappoints. Simple fuss free dining and food.
Service is always friendly and welcoming. And of course the food is delicious!
Would Return!. As a vegetarian, I recently heard about the Manna cafe and was keen to try it out. Went for lunch today and was not disappointed. Great salads, bakes and cakes - though pretty sure I could have ordered anything in sight and not have been disappointed. At $15 for my vegan/gluten free lentil, broccoli bake with side salad (you get a mix of 4 varieties - had beetroot, curry bean/chickpea, a leafy one and a tofu noodle salad) it was a good mix and satisfying plate. Not as cheap as some places (like Paws in Northbridge, etc) but not the most pricey (like The Raw Kitchen, or so I've heard). You're paying for good, fresh food - definitely worth it. Despite a generous serve, I was determined to have some dessert. Opted for the chocolate beetroot brownie ($4.50) which was deliciously moist and chocolatey without being sickly sweet. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Went with non-vegetarians and they seemed to enjoy their meals too. Also, despite some of the comments here, I found the service to be friendly. We were lucky to score a table (claimed it quickly as soon as we saw it free) but it was fairly busy and seating is relatively limited. Ordering the food was a little hectic at some points, but was manageable. Aiming to eat my way through Freo's different raw/vegan/vegetarian places, but would return here in future.
Great food!. The organic gluten free food is delicious and raw deserts are amazing. You feel healthier just walking in and good selection of merchandise and local providers. Have noticed a few things a little more expensive than other places, but I never walk out empty handed. I don't like having to order, then having to line up again at the till to pay, then if lucky may find somewhere to sit.
As nice as the food is here, the chaos that comes from trying to get to the counter to pay AND the extreme unfriendliness (and sometimes downright rudeness) of the staff takes away from the dining experience. I do love all the food and the fact that Manna caters to vegans, vegetarians and omnivores however it would be much more convenient and probably more practical to allow customers to pay at the same counter they order food from. The wholefoods market there is fantastic and it's nice to browse before or after your meal there. I would also suggest to the manager that the staff need some refreshing on good customer service because no matter how good the food is, customer service is always SO important to keep a continuous flow of clientele.
As mentioned by other reviews, the set-up here is less-than-ideal, with a counter payment and collection system that's not immediately intuitive, and very cramped seating. All excused though, by the gloriously well-stocked grocers that the cafe is located in. I have had a few problems with service here (mixed orders, miscommunication, and being served a non-vegan dish after I'd indicated this), but the affordability and taste of the food outweigh the hiccups. Yes, some of the salads can be a little bland but there's usually a "star salad" each day so I just order the lot on a mixed plate! The raw vegan desserts are divine and highly recommended.

THE REALM OF VEGAN. I am not a vegan, for that matter I am not a vegetarian either I do eat meat and animal products like milk and eggs. I am a true omnivore and I decided to venture into uncharted territory and venture into the "Realm of Vegan" by sampling some of the original and novel salads and coleslaws that were on offer and I have to admit I felt a buzz with all the vitamins and antioxidants that only vegetables can offer. Some were great others not so great but I do not think that these salads should be drowned in oil as it ruins the taste of the vegetables maybe a vinegarette or something. More emphasis should be put on fruit salads I say maybe include a nut salad of some kind for those who crave protein. Juices would be good too. because with out meat, eggs and dairy products you can be experimental and creative Not bad Mannna you haven't converted me to veganism but I will never turn my nose up at it!
Awesome place for coffee and cake....and maybe a lot more. Huge variety of salads and wraps which all looked good but we didn't have space to try them.
On to the coffee - soy latte was perfect with good temperature and strength, milk latte was too hot but overall good, the choc almond cake was definitely different and worth trying!
Awesome!. Yummy healthy food that leaves you feeling energised. I just wish they did breakfast and dinner as well.
Love this place. Manna is simply awesome. We have been shopping there and eating here for a good 4-5 years now. While the service is sometimes lax and the organisation hectic at best, you cannot question the flavours from their kitchen. Sincere compliments to the food team as the menu is always changing and the quality and flavours delicious. Shopping is good too.
Not the best set up with paying & seating but the food outweighs any negatives! Amazing range of healthier dishes as well as various vegan & gluten free options. The staff pile on the salads, making it great value for money :) Get in early for the best selections!!
Awesome vegetarian food. They offer vegan/gluten free/dairy free/raw options in a wide array of choices. The biggest problem will be knowing what to get! There's also the health food store which is part of the set up so you can pick up all your groceries there too. Raw cakes there is a must try, a new fav!
Great, cheap vegetarian food. Always reliable for a quick lunch. Not much seating though, and staff are not always that friendly.
What a cute little spot. Not much seating when it's busy but they have lovely dishes and all very fresh. I had a daily special wrap which was okay with the vegan potatoes salad which was to die for!!! The best potatoe salad I've ever had, and I'm not even a vegetarian never mind a vegan! So great! I'll be back for some more salad!
A wonderful community feel. A well stocked and friendly store and cafe for all diets and people. They give generous portions and their homemade vegan bakes and vegetarian offerings charm veggie or omnivores alike.
Freshly made and reasonably priced combined with a lovely warm atmosphere sitting either inside or out make this a regular place for us. Open every day this place is easily accessible and has a real feeling of authenticity - they serve good quality, healthy food that is unpretentious and tastes delicious.
Not bad. Went here today as I happened to be in the area. It's a fairly well stocked store catering for all diets. There are a few vegan options but they also have a range of dairy items, frozen meat, fresh fruit and vegetables and a small dining area. I had the raw vegan key lime tart and a soy LM. The coffee wasn't too bad and the tart was quite tasty. My first of raw vegan sweet treats, with many more to come! Will have to pop in when lunch is ready to see what the selection is like. Will def return for another sticky beak.
If I could marry Manna, I would.. Fresh, tasty ingredients.
Plenty of Vegan options.
Lovely, friendly staff.
Go there :)
Lunch to go. A yummy variety of tasty organic salads, quiches and wraps are available for takeaway. I love the veg pizza. Yum.
Tasty, healthy and wholesome food. one of the best options in perth/freo for vegans, vegetarians and those who appreciate healthy and fresh food!
Excellent for a coffee and good for a quick vegan lunch. Best for take away but they do have a couple of seats.
You cannot discover Manna and tell me vegetarian food is unsatisfying or boring or "rabbit food".
All this yummy food combined with some sunshine = a pretty excellent way to wind down the weekend. My friend also brought me home-made pumpkin soup & biscuits. Could I even ask for more?!
Both times I have eaten here, the food has been so flavourful and satisfying. Very yum and so much variety. So many choices you will have to come again and again and still try something new!
Some things are a bit pricey tho. Friendly service. Not sure why they are serving dine in from take away containers this time...seems quite wasteful.
Nice little shop to wander through with many things to look at!
Have only recently started going here regularly and cannot find one thing to complain. Food? Amazing✔️ grocery? Amazing✔️. Got a vegan toasted sandwich and Tempe wrap with raw slaw and a banana berry peach smoothie. Best vegan breakfast in town! They have everything in store for vegan/vegetarian diet and options you wouldn’t have even thought about
11/10 will be going back again.
Our family went on Australia Day for a quick bite. Food was pretty yummy, service was friendly & swift. Nicely stocked shop too for those wanting to cook at home.
Only comment I’ll make it is it would be nice if they could give the high chairs a good clean. It was quite dirty & sticky with food stuck on it. I had to give it a very good clean before putting my bub in it.
So many displayed items were not available in other big supermarkets. The fresh and healthy vege of salad made my mouth watery. I was happy that I had made a good decision to drop in. The hot food was cooked straight from the big kitchen. The staff were helpful and friendly. 1P free nearby. Cheers!
I've shopped and eaten there in past years many, many times! The food is delicious and healthy, and the coffees are great, too. They even make their own almond milk for the barista coffee, but also have all other milk types.
The store itself has lots to offer as well. Organic fresh produce, bulk food and so many other things.
Visiting Perth and needing a 'local' cafe for my stay - coffee high quality, food fantastic; home cooked, healthy and flavoursome. Staff welcoming and helpful. It's a health food shop/mini grocery too so they are balancing varying customer needs, but as a cafe I'd love to see them make their outside sitting areas a little bit more comfortable and attractive, That is the only thing that is out of step with the character of the business once you step inside.
This place is excellent, I wish we had one identical to it in Adelaide. Almost all foods have no hidden BS in them. You can trust almost every item in the store. It's refreshing to find a place like this. Items are a bit more expensive, but they're worth it. Health is wealth. I'll be shopping here whenever I come to WA for work.
I love the range of products and had a coffee and beetroot brownie there today. The coffee was great but the brownie was disappointing. Dry and lacking in that brownie flavour - it needs fudginess and more cocao, and maybe some vanilla essence. I'll give 5 stars if this improves. 👍
