Had the $15 fish and chip special! Was so amazing and I don't normally do F&C, as I don't like deep fried food but gave it a go and the fish was cooked superbly the little salad was great too!
The beer was very cold too and the service very fast! Great couple of hours on a very hot night.... recommended
Have had lunch here several times. Great pub food with friendly, prompt service. SBH is in a fabulous location near South Beach with surrounding street parking. Lots of ciders, beers and ginger beers on tap. Highly recommend for a drink, lunch or dinner.
Favourite pub, I rock up on a regular basis. I love sitting outside on the sun or in the courtyard bar when it's cool. Bring ya dog :)

We've been going to the SBH most weekends for the last 6 months. Can't fault it. Great food selection, always well presented and perfectly cooked. The staff are friendly, professional and enthusiastic. The drinks selection is greT and you can choose varioys seating arrangements. It's our local now, great work SBH!!
Recently came here for the $15 steak night. Not realising that all tables were booked and we had not made a booking, I thought I'd ask if we were able to have dinner. They were more than accomodating and sat us down at table which was booked for later.I ordered the angus porterhouse and my partner ordered the t-bone, both medium rare. Wasn't long before our meals arrived. Both were cooked perfectly and were served with a side salad and chips. Service was great and the place has a nice casual atmosphere. How could you possibly go wrong at $15 for a steak, cooked perfectly with all the trimmings! Will definitely be back
Had a great meal and the staff were great. Unfortunately we chose to go when there were sports on the big screen so it wasn’t easy to have a conversation over the noise.
This place is very relaxed and they always have 1 or 2 good priced pints on special. With a multitude of large tv's its a sporties heaven.
It's usually full of laid back types, not appealing to the usual Perth bogans, so a big tick there.

Surprised! Usually when I get a veggie burger it’s bland or no love. The mushroom and black bean burger was amazing. I wish my stomach could have eaten more. My partner got the chicken burger and said it was delicious. Will return for sure
Great pub to come and chill on a sunny afternoon, plenty of seating areas inside and out. Staff are friendly, beers are cold and not too overly priced and good is above average for pub grub. Great place to come watch the footy too!
Love this place. Want a relaxed pub? This is it. Bring your dog for a few beers outside they don't care. The staff will even give your dog a water. A real locals pub with great daily food specials. A good choice of bars and dining areas and if the dockers are playing this is the place to watch it. Cheers guys.
Loving the newly renovated bar! Cant belive it once was a drive thru! Thursday night parma night is still a favourite! One of the best parmas around! Quick service! Very happy!

Three of us arrived at 11-30pm Mon 19-10-15 for lunch , 2 ladies ordered the Fish and Chips and I had the standard Parma with chips and salad, 3 lemon lime & bitters came to $51. Good value this the 3rd time at SBH the meals are consistent and service was great. Thanks Terry
Not outstanding but certainly does the job. My family and I went to SBH for Saturday lunch and we were pleased with our meals. My mother-in-law and I had the ocean parma and we found it tasty and filling. The children's pizzas were of a generous size and my oldest son couldn't finish his massive burger, plus my wife was happy with the special she ordered. We ate inside which we found to be pleasant enough and the prices were very reasonable considering it was Fremantle. If you want something outstanding in the way of cuisine then this wouldn't be the place to go, but if you want something with a home-cooked feel, fills you up, and is affordable then we would recommend South Beach Hotel (at least for Saturday lunch). Will likely make an effort to go back there again.

No mushrooms in mushroom sauce. We have just moved to freo n r keen to try every redtaurant , this place has specials on every night , steak night , parmy night , pizza night ect , we went to the steak night $15 bucks with chips n salad , service was good , atomphere was typical of a pub few drunks getting louder n louder, anyways we ordered a t bone n porterhouse both good cuts n cooked exactly how we asked, we both had mushroom sauce and thier was literally 1 slice of mushroom between us lol we didnt complain as this has happened at a few places , the sauce was very salty and nothing like mushroom sauce , its not that expensive to buy mushrooms hate it when places skimp on them , sides that 6/10 but wont be rushing back anytime soon :/
Always a good time had at the SBH,their T-Bone steak with mushy sauce the best in the west.Bar staff good service&friendly&most importantly the Swan Draught is ice cold&crisp from the tap.
Came down for our first steak night in ages. OMG it was just simply fabulous. If this is the quality of the rest of the food that is coming out the kitchen, SBH are back to their very best
Best Value in Fremantle!. Our family discovered this value for money pub restaurant after trying just about all the eateries in & around Fremantle.
It is now our regular, with constantly good value food & great service!
You order at the bar, which is quick & always with a smile from one of the friendly, helpful barmaids and then grab a table outside on the terrace.
It's your typical pub selection but they do have 4 daily specials each day.
I always have the Chicken Pamigiana, just can't go past it! ($17.00)
Our kids love the pizzas ($15 - $18.00)
My wife always has one of the daily specials.
Parking is easy & no poor service from unhappy, slack staff!

Been there twice now for their Tuesday night steak, chips and salad for $15 - fantastic!! All 6 meals were cooked perfectly and was delicious! We will all certainly go back

OMG!! Went down on tuesday night for the $15 steak and I could not fault it in the slightest. You could choose either porterhouse or t-bone and from a selection of sauces. There were 5 of us on our table and each steak was cooked to perfection. Great food, Excellent service and without a doubt-refreshing cider. Will definately be there again soon.
Fantastic!. I love going here. Whether it be for Friday night footy, a week day dinner or a long lunch over the weekend - I can't fault this place. Their chicken wings, I just love. Now I know its not hard to make chicken wings, but honestly, do try! I am a very fussy steak eater and steak from here is always cooked perfectly and the sizes are extremely generous (with all those chips as well, my goal is to try and finish my plate one day). My partner has had the lasagne, parmigiana and fish pie there and has also loved it. The prices are great, the service (even when busy) is great and the overall atmosphere is great! A great casual place to dine, drink or simply enjoy your sport!
Proper pub food.. Great food for the price, can’t fault the steaks or the size of them. The “specials” really are value for money.

Funky fun extension to the pub, with an outdoor garden feel but non of the downsides of what the weather is going to do in a garden.
Been 3 or 4 years since was last here and much more of a retro vibe and menu.
We had a a lovely special of spit roasted belly pork with crackle and a Crispy Apple and Walnut Salad and both were devine.
Topped off with a pint of the good stuff and an Expresso Martini we thoroughly enjoyed our little afternoon excursion to Freo South.

Nice pub, but maybe not for a quiet drink on a Saturday evening. Staff were pleasant. The pub had only one no-alcohol beer -- a Great Northern. Let's hope they get in some zero-alcohol gin soon.

Arrived for lunch with my fiance to meet a friend who is our celebrant for our wedding. The SBH is a beautiful old hotel. Easy to find, parking is a bit of a challenge, but on a nice day like today, there is no problem parking further away and walking down.
We sat outside, ordered our lunch and drinks. Good menu for food and drinks with decent prices.
I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana, they brought out a chicken parmigiana but they took it back and rectified the mistake immediately and my eggplant parmigiana came out not too long after that.
Food was amazing, just the right size and really tasty.
We enjoyed our outing thoroughly and the staff were lovely, efficient and friendly; one of them even congratulated us on our engagement!
We really had a great day and will definitely be visiting the SBH again!

At present, best Chicken Parmy in Perth for me. Crispy, great chips, pesto drizzle and always consistent! Very much recommend.
