Review Farm Vigano - South Morang

Johanna Hillbrick
Evie and the Farm Vigano team did an absolutely perfect job for my wedding in May. All of their advice and suggestions made the day flow so flawlessly and as the bride I didn't have to worry about a single thing. All of our guests raved about how delicious the food was and how perfect the venue was. Cannot thank the team enough! Will definitely be back for lunch in the future!

Absolutely stunning location... we saw some cute little wallabies driving in to the car park about 6.30pm. Delicious food, outstanding service!! Will definitely be back ♡♡♡ Great place for a wedding reception.

My son and his wife had their wedding reception in Farm Vigano this June 2022. Our family event was successful because of the great ambiance of the place, the super-delicious food, and the outstanding customer service. It was a night full of laughter, fun, and happy memories. The staff is excellent. The staff members are all friendly, cheerful, accommodating, patient and attentive to guests' requests. Yes, they all definitely deserve a five-star rating.

Farm Vigano has always felt like home, so it was a natural choice for it play host our wedding. Evie, Suzy and the team did not disappoint. From supporting a last-minute pandemic related reschedule, to providing space for a creative groom to construct his own wedding cake just before heading down the aisle. No ask was too much, no Aperol Spritz was too far away... and no honest opinions withheld. The honest food, outstanding service and sage advice meant our day special day was everything we hoped for and sooo much more. With gorgeous views out into the Plenty Gorge or back up at the stunning venue... you could be mistaken for thinking you had travelled to somewhere other than the suburbs of Melbourne. Farm Vigano is now a permanent part of our story and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend should anyone be considering adding it theirs. Whether it is simply date night or your wedding day… you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic food coupled with lovely view, what more could we ask for. Staff recommended us a great wine that went perfectly with our order. Will definitely be back!

What a "little" gem hidden among bushes just 25km north of the CBD! Came here with friends on a long weekend outing and really enjoyed the surroundings. The restaurant is massive and is divided into several large dining sections with a stunning view of the bushy valley. It's a perfect venue for big events. They offer set menu on Sundays, so we didn't get to try a variety of their food. The food was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Service is excellent; our waiter Jimmy is outstanding!! 👍

Thoroughly enjoyable. Good food, a little pricey but worth it. Excellent, friendly professional staff, that make the experience better. Nice views , too bad it rained heavily after we arrived, but may go back on a nicer day.

Not only was the food outstanding.....pizza, salads, tiramisu & cannoli but their service is 10/10!!! In particular our waiter Alexander deserves a big shout. In fact all the staff provide an excellent service, we got Alexander & he was just too good. We'll be back :)

Been to farm Vigano many times always great food and service But on Sunday 11th March I was married in the orchard and had a function downstairs and it was simply perfect For Italian this is the best restaurant I’ve experienced

Had my wedding & sons baptism in the garden room and we must say what wonderful service from the lovely staff & great venue.. not to mention how amazing the food is !!!

Sadly the quality presentation and service has gone downhill. When we first went there when it opened the "wow" factor literally blew us away. Now it's quite ordinary.

Food was great, friendly staff very helpful. The view was great but parking was a bit short. It was a great lunch for our large family occasion. Well done guys.

First time there, was recommended to me by my daughter. Beautiful place, our waitress quite good, food excellent, perfect place for our mini reunion

What a stunning location. The menu is delicious, fresh italian style food which everyone at our table could not fault. We will definitely be back again. Well done to all at Farm Vigano

Went for lunch yesterday for first time. Service was excellent, food was great (we had a share menu). Sat outside was just lovely. Only complaint (and not a serious one) was that the outdoor wooden chairs were uncomfortable and hand rails for walking back in the path would be a good idea.
Vicki Kirkilis
The place has a very good atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. Our waitress Jess was fantastic and my son adored her.
Maria Ambrosini
Caught up with friends for school holiday lunch. Yet another lovely experience. Food was delicious, especially the ricotta and pistachio cannoli, and the service was even better. Staff were friendly and attentive and went out of their way to cater for food intolerances so thank you to Laura and Luca. And special mention to the owner David. You've just gained yourself 5 return customers. Keep up the great work

I just love this place in lots of ways, the food is good, the place is amazing and my company I’m with awesome.

An incredible venue. We had our wedding reception and ceremony at Farm Vigano in early march 2018 and we couldn't have been more impressed. All our guests raved about the stunning location and the amazing food and drinks. Suzie made planning our wedding a breeze and the staff were all friendly and incredibly helpful the entire night. Cannot thank everyone at Farm Vigano enough for making our wedding an absolute blast.

Our wedding reception at Farm Vigano was the best we could have asked for. We had a fantastic day. The staff and event managers have been so helpful and accommodating from the first time we went in for an initial meeting, and every time since, and then really went above and beyond to make our wedding day special.<br/>Our guests have not stopped telling us how much they enjoyed the wedding, loved the beautiful venue, and really enjoyed the food. Speaking of food - we had canapés during cocktail hour and then a sharing sit down dinner. A lot of our guests have commented on how impressed they were by the quality of the food, but also how much food was served. It is certainly safe to say that no one went hungry! I would like to especially mention that the team did such a great job taking care of our guests with dietary requirements - and at no extra cost. <br/>The venue and property are stunning and looked amazing on the day. We had lots of table arrangements, candles and florals, as well on bomboniere, and the Farm Vigano team did a fantastic job setting everything up for us to make the venue look so nice. The team also did a fantastic job working with our suppliers.<br/>Special thanks to Suzie and Kelly.<br/>We cannot wait to go back to Farm Vigano! <br/>Georgia and Matt x

Great to take family, kids friendly. A good selection of food and beverages, plenty of room for kids to run around and have a great time. One of the closer wineries in Melbourne.
Teresa
Paid $55 for the set menu. The food was nice but no where near enough for 5ppl. Better off ordering individual meals. 2 stars is for the friendly service and the food (Although it wasn’t enough, it was still nice).
Good Food Good Mood
We visited Farm Vigano last night a venue I’ve been trying to get to literally for years. 85 years ago the Vigano’s started a farm here to grow produce for their Italian restaurant in Melbourne’s CBD. Now a restaurant of its own accord, it’s literally nestled amongst suburban sprawl so much so we drove straight past it but the grounds are so extensive you could be anywhere once you drive in the gate. <br/><br/>Lovely views and a real rustic Italian charm about it, it’s easy to see why people choose it as their wedding venue. I ordered the super Mario pizza which was an eggplant pizza with four types of cheese. I also tried a piece of someone else’s four cheese pizza which was delicious as it wasn’t a white base as they often are which gave it a bit of flavour contrast.<br/><br/>I also tried a piece of the gamberi which was also yummy. Would definitely recommend visiting particularly in the summer months as the daylight savings hours means you can explore the beauty of the gardens in the light. Also worth requesting a window table

With the help of the wonderful staff at Farm Vigano, we set up a beautiful space for my clients on their wedding day. Suzie the event coordinator at Farm Vigano is fantastic and the staff were fun to work with. <br/><br/>Food was absolutely delicious and the servings were extremely generous. There was so much food to enjoy and each dish that came out was even better than the last. I would definitely recommend that you go there and enjoy the food and atmosphere. <br/><br/>It was a team effort putting together such a great day and the staff could not have been any more amazing than they were on Saturday. <br/><br/>Can’t wait to return and bring the family along this time to enjoy the food and beautiful views there.

Thanks to Eliza for creating such a wonderful day for the Birthday & Baptism of our daughter. Well organised, kept us up to date throughout. beautiful venue. Well done to waitress Mel, great service and nothing seemed to be a bother at all especially being such a busy day. Plenty of food and wine to go around. thanks for looking after us ! farm vigano!

Really delicious Italian food, I haven't tried any of the pastas yet but the pizzas are great; nice and thin with tasty bases and simple but good quality toppings.<br/>My only complaint is that they don't allow even simple modifications to pizza, i.e. there's a salami pizza, and then there's a spicy salami pizza, but that has blue cheese on it, so if you don't like blue cheese but you like the heat, you can't order it without the blue cheese or the salami pizza simply with chili or the spicier salami instead of the normal stuff.<br/>They're also a little too light handed with olives (I need at least one per slice! haha).<br/>Their roasts & gelato are also delicious.

Such a beautiful place to celebrate a special occasion with love one , family and friends. We came here to celebrate my hubby 40th, came for lunch while the kid at school. They set up beautiful ambience, the food are just beautifully cooked. The garlic breads are delicious, we ate too fast I forgot to take a pic before hand, as we were hungry too. My favo dish will be the slow cooked lamb shoulder and the gnocchi 😍😍😍👍🏽👍🏽. Will love to come back in summer
Natalie
If there was a 0.5 star I’d give our evening at Farm Vigano a 3.5 rather than a 4.<br/>The venue is really nice - lovely native views and the restaurant is tastefully decorated. Love the gelato cart which is used at functions. The gum leaves on the tables brings the scenery indoors which is a nice touch. <br/>The pizza had a good tomato sauce and a crunchy edge. The gluten free pizza didn’t taste handmade - it tasted like the store bought ones which is disappointing. The iceberg lettuce was quartered (never seen it dome that way - not sure we’re a fan) and served with toasted pine nuts and mint. The roast was very tender but a little oily. The calamari was crisp. The mains were nice enough but overpriced for the portion sizes. <br/>The dessert menu looked great. We wanted to try the creme brûlée but they were sold out. So, we asked for the tiramisu but that was also sold out. We ended up having the cannolis and passionfruit bombe alaska. The desserts were nice but it’s such a shame our first choices were not available. <br/>Having a dishwashing towel as a napkin is a very odd choice. Linen napkins would look and feel much nicer or even a good quality paper napkin would be better.
Yummo
Love love love! The ambience was lovely. Nice view without having to travel too far. The food was just devine. Proper Italian food done on a very high standard. We shared the lamb, pork, pizza & pasta. Lamb was too salty apart from that, everything was very nice. We fought over the donuts. Will be back for sure<br/>

I had my birthday lunch for 11 people on Saturday, 27 April. The waitress for our table was outstanding & the food was absolutely delicious! Following lunch, I went up to the counter, a younger staff member assisted me to make payment of the food & cake corkage & then allowed me to make a separate payment of the 3 drinks I had had, then printed out a bill of the remaining drinks for the rest of my party to pay for separately. Upon then going up to the bar, a blonde lady with glasses in a black shirt (I'm assuming a manager, as the others were in white shirts) was extremely rude to my guest & advised them "we don't split bills, you can pay for it all at once & everyone can transfer you" which wasn't acceptable. I then spoke to her when she made me point out which younger staff member had allowed me to pay for the food & my drinks separated, went over to her & then came back & proceeded to be very rude to me & my guests, stating "that's not how we do things here". Finally once we were allowed to make separate payments, she proceeded in a very rude manner to advise we had to tell her the specific amount we wanted to pay & asked myself & my guests how much our drinks were, when she should know the price of drinks herself. One of my guest asked her to stop being so rude & that we were working out our exact charges & paid. Even after all this, there ended up being an extra $70 of drinks left of the bill & after the 15+ minutes of my interaction with her (and she also allowed another customer to push in front of us, mid payment), I was done, paid the extra $70 myself which upon reflection, was not correct. But I was not going to be spoken in such a rude manner any longer on my birthday after having a fantastic meal. But after such a great restaurant experience & spending $900+, it was very disappointing to be treated in such a rude manner. I also feel sorry for the younger waitress, as I have no doubt she would have been yelled at for allowing me to split my payments. After working in hospitality for 10+ years, this type of rude service is appalling to see.

We’ve been visiting Farm Vigano for years and realised that I haven’t yet taken the time to review. <br/><br/>A beautiful venue with amazing views.<br/><br/>The antipasto and entrees are fantastic in flavours, and great variety, with traditional Italian flavours.<br/><br/>The pizzas are thin and crunchy, and worth a try when there.<br/><br/>Gnocchi with truffle was a highlight of the evening, pillow soft gnocchi and incredible in flavour.<br/><br/>Overall 4 out of 5 for the food, good Italian style food.<br/><br/>To be honest the service could have been more attentive, we found we were only offered one bottle of water for a large table at the start of the night and no refills offered, and we seemed to be waiting on staff to either clear plates or come back around order more dishes.<br/><br/>Recommend a visit if you’re looking for a restaurant in the local area.

Have been to Farm Vigano countless times and have always been a fan of the atmosphere and food. However; the experience this time made both my friend and I uncomfortable. <br/><br/>We had ordered a few share plates to eat, no mains. Working in hospitality I will always check to ascertain if customers want everything coming together or not. This was never checked. We therefore assumed everything would come out at once; given that there were never any “mains” that would obviously come after without question. Our waitress however was lovely. <br/><br/>After 20 minutes or so we then checked to see if the rest of our food was coming. And asked only IF it had NOT been made yet, to cancel it. We were extremely polite in our request (working in hospitality I also understand the inconvenience of cancelling food when it has already been made; we therefore wanted to be courteous of this and said we were happy to eat it if it was already prepared. <br/><br/>The waitress kindly offered to check with the kitchen. An older female waitress then came back to our table and rudely told us that the rest of our food would be our “second course”. We had never requested this nor were we told they would come out separately, so being told rudely that it was practically “our fault” was extremely off putting, especially as we were being so cooperative and polite, and had said multiple times if it had been made we were happy to eat it. <br/><br/>We both found the attitude of this older waitress to be extremely condescending and blunt. We left shortly after as we felt uncomfortable. The rest of the staff were extremely friendly, however; sometimes all it takes is one person to tarnish the reputation of a place.

Nice little find in our local area. <br/>Small but satisfying menu. Good quality food but an even better vibe. Recommended for a nice romantic dinner on a summer night.

Came here for a wedding and the food was amazing. Aranchini, calamari delicious. Pizzas were so good, those bases were amazing. Antipasto super fresh tasting. Meats were tender and amazing, veggies perfect. Those cannolis for dessert so yum! Want to come back soon! The place itself also beautiful.
Helen
The wait for food was quite long. The pasta dish I had with chicken was quite filling. My friend did not enjoy her pasta dish with crab as she felt the crab was nonexistent and the dish itself lacked flavour. We both tried our friend’s gnocchi dish and it was delicious! Would go back for the gnocchi and the view. <br/>

My husband and I got married at Farm Vigano in December and could not fault the service provided both on the day and in the lead up.<br/><br/>We met Suzie, the Wedding & Events Coordinator when we first went to the venue to enquire about what they offer for weddings. It was the first venue we went to enquire about and we were sold. We had eaten several times at the venue so knew the quality of the service and food. Suzie’s enthusiasm, advice and ability to put up with all of our little questions in the months leading up to our day just made working with her and Farm Vigano a pleasure.<br/><br/>Kelly and the front of house staff were amazing, making sure everything was set up as discussed and provided amazing service to us and all of our guests. From the feedback received from our guests - they were amazed at how much and how good the food was, not a fault was or could be mentioned.<br/><br/>If we were to plan our wedding day again, we would be celebrating again at Farm Vigano.<br/><br/>We look forward to coming back in for lunch soon.
HANGRY
Incredibly over priced and poor quality food. Meat was fatty and undercooked. Ordered ‘Buffalo mozzarella’ pizza costing $24. It had a little drop of mozzarella the size of a 20cent coin per slice. We found ourselves eating bread with sauce and minimal topping. The sauce was over-powering. I have had better pizza at our local pizza shop at a fraction of the price. Chips were cold and left out for approx 10minutes on the serving tray before our food came out. Tea towels as napkins.... really? Seems weird and gross to be wiping my face with a tea towel at dinner. <br/><br/>On a positive note the location is really beautiful with a view overlooking parkland/forest. <br/>The other really unfortunate part aside from the food was the staff. They were extremely rude and impatient even whilst ordering. They walked around the restaurant glaring at customers and when spoken to were overly blunt. I find this interesting considering the price customers pay to dine here when both the food and service have failed miserably.<br/>Farm Vigano is lucky for its outstanding location. <br/>Would not return.
Laura
They get one star for the location - it really is a beautiful setting and a beautiful building. Other than that, this has been one of the worst dining experiences I have had. We ate as a group of 7 for lunch mid-week. The restaurant was not busy and there were a number of staff on. We had the rudest, most unprofessional waitress I have ever encountered. She was disgustingly rude to our entire table and was not at all helpful when I advised of my dietary requirements. I was made to feel like a hassle for my dietary requirements and it was very embarrassing when this waitress continued to make a deal out of what I could not eat because EVERYTHING on the menu, minus the potatoes and broccoli apparently, has garlic and onion in it. Really, everything? Are the chefs so uninspired that they cannot think of other flavours to enhance their foods except for garlic!? Absolutely disgraceful. I ordered potatoes and broccoli for lunch. The potatoes were boring, dry and under-seasoned (I think I counted 3 sprigs of rosemary) and the broccoli was also under-seasoned and underwhelming (a friend ordered the broccoli as well and his came out with salt flakes and oil, mine had nothing). I asked for salt to try and give it flavour, and got a dish of what looked like Saxa salt, not even nice flake salt or a salt grinder. How many fingers have been in that salt dish!? I paid $30 for potatoes and broccoli, of which I can cook better at home. I come to a restaurant - a supposedly good one - to eat food I would not cook myself at home, and I have no choice but to order boring, bland food. Not good enough Farm Vigano, you need to lift your game and cater to dietary requirements. Service was extremely slow - we were seated for 15 minutes before we were offered water and drinks, then it was another 20 minutes before she returned to take our orders. Our waitress made a point of no split bills and raised an argument over it (the lovely young man at the cash register was literally about to put it in, but she came running over and put a stop to it, saying the reason they don't allow it is because there is always someone at the end stuck with the food items that were not paid for. Terrible excuse, she was just being rude and horrible towards me. I don't know if we just got this woman on a bad day, as the other staff seemed friendly, but if I were management reading this, I would have a serious discussion with your staff as the way she treated me and the rest of the table was not acceptable and I expected better, especially for the price and that this is marketed as a high-end establishment. I will not be back here and I will continue to let all my friends know how terrible this place is - very disappointing.

Awesome restaurant in the quite back streets of South Morang. All we come for is the amazing mussels in red sauce with pizza bread to dip. YUM
Rennie
Here for a birthday in group of 20 for the first time and its a real surprise driving through suburban homes when all of sudden the entrance is visible in what looks like a rural setting. Multiple sittings is how it's done here and whilst I'm not a fan, three hours is more than enough to enjoy the food that awaits. Firstly, they get busy here, but the servers are trerrifc, efficient and get the job done quickly. We had the sharing plate for $55 per head and the food, it's presentation, the quality and the quantity were simply outstanding. They also ask you if you'd like more pizza or more lamb or pork during the various courses!<br/>There were a mixture of couples and small tables as well as larger groups at the restaurant and it has a lovely outlook framed by large windows to take in the view. You can also stretch your legs for a quick stroll around the property between courses if needed. We had a great antipasto and some of the most enjoyable thin crust pizzas for a long time. The show cooked lamb was a standout as the meat was so tender with the pork and its cracking simply crunchy!<br/>The food was simply terrific and I was really impressed and will definitely be back very soon.

3.7. <br/><br/>Good place. We were invited to a milestone birthday lunch here today for 16 people. Farm Vigano is very Italian and there’s lots to like about that. We had the $55 sharing menu which is said to be in celebration of traditional Italian dining custom. It is a very good feast and makes this restaurant well worth seeking out.<br/><br/>We started with a superb anti pasto. It is a very generous size and offers stunningly fresh and delicious produce. One of the best of its type I’ve had in good old Oz for sure. I’d be hard pressed to pick a favourite item. They were all excellent. The accompanying bread was excellent too. Light, fluffy and very tasty. All in all, this is a great starter.<br/><br/>We had nice pizzas next. Three different types. All had a light base with good tasting toppings. I was talking too much and sadly didn’t get the names of any of the pizzas. They are good sound pizzas without being spectacular. Next we had very good looking pork and lamb. Both dishes looked really great when they arrived. The meat was very pleasantly done but not brilliantly and it lacked just a little bit of flavour for me. This course came with well cooked baked potatoes and a nice rocket salad.<br/><br/>A couple of our party had cannolis for dessert. I had a taste. They were good. My long black to finish was great. Very well made coffee.<br/><br/>Service here was very impressive throughout. There’s a good number of mainly young servers and they were all efficient and affable. It is a good restaurant area too. Bright and airy and lovely on a sunny day. There are nice greenery views from most windows.<br/><br/>We really liked the place and would very happily dine here again.
My.ove.you20
The restaurant and the place was really really good , the food was not good at all <br/><br/>I only liked one order of 4 <br/>Which is some balls i forget what its called. <br/><br/><br/>Also i have called them before coming to book table when i arrived they told me we don’t have your name . <br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>In my opinion i think i wasted my money hear .
Luca
We had the most amazing wedding function at Farm Vigano, everything was exactly as we had hoped and even exceeded our expectations.<br/><br/>The food was incredible and our guests all said the same. The waiting staff were very attentive and a pleasure to have accommodating us.<br/><br/>Really beautiful.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Suzie, David and their team provided what we had been looking for in terms of the Italian feel and vibe of the function topped off with lovely food and drink. We are especially grateful to the staff for their helpfulness, patience and organisation of the function. It was a real pleasure.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>We, and a number of our guests, will be regular Farm Vigano customers.

Wow - the food is amazing! I'm already looking forward to coming back for another visit. Must try the garlic focaccia and the slow cooked lamb, so delish!
Miss Margherita
Miss Margherita has been here three times this year. The Margherita pizza is pure perfection. They call it Pizze there. <br/>It has a minimal amount of Fior de latte mozzarella cheese and a very generous amount of San marzano sauce which is a perfect combination. If you prefer a bit more cheese select the Bufala pizza which has Italian bufallo mozzarella which seems to be spread more over the pizza/pizze. Both are topped with fresh basil. You can dine in or call ahead for a takeaway.
Aldrin Canta
The gnocchi with cream, truffle and porchini is delicious! Highly recommend, the texture of the gnocchi is perfect. Soft but not mushy, just right and the flavour combination is great. Slow cooked lamb is also very good.
LuciaEats
Do yourself a favour and give FV a try. The pizzas are still up there with the best. The iconic mascarpone pizza cannot be passed up . <br/>Go on a nice sunny day and enjoy the experience .

Being a local I had heard of Farm Vigano but had not been in, until I was invited to celebrate my sister in laws birthday. I wish I had come earlier, as I am now going to be a regular. Our waitress Mikaela was so friendly, went above and beyond, and is a real asset to the restaurant! See you again this weekend!
Helen Pyrros
The food is amazing , will not disappoint, definitely will be going there again. The service was fantastic our waitress Laura was friendly, very helpful always with a smile and her food recommendations were spot on. Thank you Laura
Darren Patterson
Amazing food, knowledgeable staff, and fun atmosphere! Well priced share menu considering the quality and the quantity of food. We sat on the newly renovated Terrace area which is covered with heaters, and are now looking at booking it for our daughters confirmation. Special mention to Jacquie who went above and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble! We look forward to coming back on Mothers Day!
Vaibhavbag
Always happy with the food and service they offer. Plenty George view from the table is just awesome. They also have a cellar. Nothing to complain about but to keep going there every now and then.
Amanda Catalfamo-Barber
This remains our favorite local restaurant. Tonight we had the sharing menu, and it was incredible. More food than we could ever have eaten and everything was delicious. The staff are always attentive.

An incredible wedding venue. We recently had our ceremony and reception at Farm Vigano and all our guests raved about the stunning location and the amazing food and drinks. Suzie made planning our wedding a breeze and the staff were all friendly and incredibly helpful the entire night. Cannot thank everyone at Farm Vigano enough for making our wedding an absolute blast.

Could not get better. Beautiful setting and prompt service. $55 p.p. share platter quality food. A little noisy but crowd enjoying themselves, no worries. Carpark full a long walk but worth it. Waitress Marilena friendly and great service.  First time here but will be back.

Farm Vigano is a stunning restaurant and reception, the views of the gorge are breath taking. As for the service of the restaurant it is a bit slow, however the food is tasty and fresh. I would definitely recommend this place 👌🏻
Linda
Pros: the location and background of this place is phenomenal!! It's so pretty, no wonder people hold engagement parties here. The pizza was crispy and very addictive even though it was just the margarita we ordered (can't go wrong with the og). Very good decision made with the triple cooked potatoes. Service was great.<br/><br/>Cons: the lamb was a bit dry however is was very flavoursome.
Sim Sim
Farm Vigano is absolutely amazing, a hidden gem! <br/>The food is amazing and I especially love their pizza. I recently had my engagement there and it was absolutely gorgeous, all our guests loved it.<br/>We have had a couple of functions/bookings with Farm Vigano in the past and it always is amazing! <br/>Highly recommend for any occasion! <br/>
Rhiannon Parbery
We held our wedding reception at Farm Vigano recently, and have eaten at the restaurant a number of times. The staff are great - so friendly and will go out of their way to ensure everything is perfect for you! The food is delicious - we have received so much positive feedback about the food from out guests! Beautiful venue, amazing food and views! We cannot wait to return soon!
Moon_bop
Really delicious food, made & presented well. It is obvious that the dishes are made with good quality, fresh ingredients. The arancini pops were crunchy, cheesy & flavoursome. The pizza was good & molten chocolate cake with mascarpone gelato was superb! The only con was that the entree & the main came out at the same time. Great service & ambiance - looking forward to going back to try more dishes.

We had our wedding at Farm Vigano, and we cannot praise Farm Vigano and the team enough. Right from our first meeting, Suzie our wedding coordinator took care of us. Nothing was too hard for her, and she always approached everything in a professional but relaxed manner. Communication was easy and emails always responded to promptly. On the day everything was perfect from start to end. The food was sensational. At the end, people were too full for desserts and the staff wrapped up all the desserts and the flowers for guests to take home. I cannot thank the team. For us our wedding day was perfect and Farm Vigano a perfect relaxed venue with a intimate feeling. Thank you so much
Elle
Baffled as to how this had made the high 3's with its pizza ratings! <br/><br/>I will say, the antipasti was beautiful. Fresh, yummy and well presented. But let's be real, who can't spoon an artichoke and a sun-dried tomato out of a jar? Or who can't plop some olives in a dish and cut some cheese into cubes?<br/><br/>This is the big deal breaker...<br/>I always take photos of my food when it arrives at my table because I'm excited to dig in and share my experience...and my mouth is usually already watering...but I saw my food coming out to me tonight and thought...yikes. The taste was to suit.<br/><br/>Our braised leg of lamb was the dryest, most bland and most chewy piece of lamb I think I have actually ever eaten. A greasy kebab from a questionable caravan at 2am would've been 100 times better.<br/>We actually questioned if the lamb was actually a pile of canned tuna morphed into a lamb leg...kid you not.<br/><br/>Secondly, our pizza. Ahh McCain, you've done it again? Absolute junk. Microwave spec. Completely lacking sauce, flavour and cheese. For $20...you'd need to order 10 to get your money's worth of ingredients. Shocked how people rate the pizzas here so highly. And trust me, I know pizza.<br/>It wasn't pizza dough, it was the flat bread they served to us for entrees...just in a big circle. Pathetic.<br/><br/>The service was friendly and efficient. Couldn't fault the staff. And the restartaunt was well presented and very clean. But SO SO LOUD!<br/><br/>All in all, I'm so disappointed in this restaurant because it's such a gorgeous location. But it missed alot of standards. And far too overpriced. Would definitely not suggest! <br/><br/><br/>

I cannot fault this place. The stunning property, fantastic staff and the best food! We have always loved this place and never gone wrong with the food so we had our wedding there and it was amazing! The staff were great and the spread they put on for their cocktail functions was the best thing, all our guests loved it! Highly recommended restaurant and function venue!!

This was a perfect venue for our wedding. The outdoor ceremony was beautiful within the onsite orchard and the reception was great. The food was delicious, everybody loved it! All the venue staff were fabulous and their wedding organiser made the day run so smoothly. We would definitely recommend this venue!

Amazing place, Amazing food, amazing everything period. Ordered Anti pasti sharing platter, couple of pizzas, salads, lamb and pork meat, arancini balls. I don’t have a bad thing to say about this place. Be sure to book a table. Desserts were nice too specially the Tiramisu, Molten chocolate pudding was great. Doughnuts could have been better. But overall, definitely recommended for weekend lunch.

Good service and great food, came here after a friend recommended it, such a wide selection of food, everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing, will be coming back here for sure

With a beautiful setting overlooking the bush, unfortunately it’s pizza is not on the same level as the setting. Don’t get me wrong it’s still a solid eat however I found the base to be a bit crunchy for my liking and hard to finish the crust. The toppings however were broad but lacked that wow factor you get from a wood fired over.

Decided to travel to South Morang to experience this restaurant.  There are not too many good choices around this area.  The location is quite pretty, especially on a warm sunny afternoon.  The entire building and the whole area around this restaurant is under Parks and Gardens Victoria.  We tried the calamari which was lovely and small.  Pity it was a little too greasy for our liking.  The pizza had nice fresh ingredients but it was average in terms of taste and texture of the dough.  The salad could have been improved with the addition of a very good quality Australian oil.  Overall an average meal for Melbourne, but probably top rating for this particular area of Melbourne.  The service was good.

Went last Saturday night for dinner with my partner. <br/>Food was absolutely amazing - I haven't had a meal that tasted that great in a long time (didn't want it to end). My partner said the same - he said he absolutely loved the food. The staff there were also friendly and the place looked beautiful too. Will definitely be back and looking forward to the next visit! :)

Lovely dinner with the family at this quaint venue. Tucked in the midst of suburbia, it's a nice retreat from the usual monotony of life. To eat; most of us had the spaghettini with crab, a couple of pizzas and the steak. Desserts-wise we loved the lemon tart and the tiramisu.. we also had the donuts but they were a little too chewy for my liking and the warm chocolate pudding was decent. Would love to come back during the day to enjoy the scenic views.

I take the time to write this little response letter to make comment on what we experienced whilst we engaged your venue in the celebration of the birthday. I feel that it is best to break this up into 3 parts: organising, the day, the aftermath.<br/><br/>We made an initial call after a recommendation by Karol, an in-law who had attended your establishment previously. On our first visit we spoke with Chiara Basa about dates and menus etc. After a little discussion, the date, price and menu was sorted. Over the next 6 weeks a couple of phone conversations did take place. At all times during these question and answer sessions the information was available. <br/><br/>Upon arrival we were greeted by Susan (the floor manager) who introduced us to our waitress for the function; Jessica Mumford was the recipient of the task at hand. A short but informative conversation followed. Throughout the early stages of the occasion brief and direct question as to our wishes did get asked by Jess. These basically where along the lines of a special request for a wine that had not been mentioned. The questions where direct and informative stating what it was and how it was sold etc. At no time whilst asking these relevant questions was it done in a fashion to make any party involved feel ill at ease.<br/><br/>Over the next couple of hours Jess was kept working serving drinks and food. I particularly stop and take this time to write this letter to say that I do feel that Jess is an excellent representation of her as a person and the establishment that she was representing whilst performing her duties. <br/><br/>The food that was presented to all at our function was of a very high quality and did taste as good as it looked. The antipasto was served on a large platter containing all that had been discussed. Whilst this was presented to the adults, the children did get the fries. This kept all at the tables happy. Next served was the Calamari and Prawns, followed by the desired Pizza. The way this was done made it so if the children wanted a second course it was there and available. After a short period of time the Chicken and Lamb along with salad was served. Timing on the serving of all the courses seemed to be just right without creating the push feeling. Next was the coffee and cake course, and again this was handled well. <br/><br/>Amongst the guests there was a couple of special needs, these seemed to be handled efficiently, with no fuss at all.<br/><br/>Now for the final part: the dreaded aftermath. Our party was scheduled to finish at 4:30pm we can honestly say that we do not know if it did, but at no time throughout the entire celebration can I say that the grand finale was pre-empted. We have had and been involved in several family celebrations and I honestly cannot remember receiving text and phone calls from the Italians, and even the Aussies, 3+ hours later saying how much of a pleasure the day was. <br/><br/>Once again please inform Jess of our sincere gratitude and appreciation for all her effort on the day. Also please let all those behind the scenes know that this will only be an experience that will bring highest recommendation<br/><br/> <br/>Peter Bateman

Family friendly, with great wholesome old school food. Beautiful venue considering the location. We went on Father's Day so had the set menu. I've also been for a wedding which served the same food. Menu doesn't seem to change. The highlight definitely the roast pork and lamb 👌 delicious. <br/>
Nellie
Beautiful venue in an unexpected location! I had the crab spaghetti for main which was great, although the arancini (as entree) was my favourite. Everyone at table was happy with their pizzas & Nutella-based deserts. <br/>Will definitely be coming back, particularly for special events (eg fathers days).

I had heard many good reviews of this place lately and decided to venture out to try this place.<br/>Want really impressed it was actually pretty ordinary all in all. <br/>For main I had the crab pasta it was quite nice, had lots of crab but also had some shell pieces in it. The lamb lacked flavour, it was cooked well but had no taste. The buttermilk fried chicken was probably the best dish of all the savoury. I'm not a fan of prosciutto being cooked when on pizza as it loses it's delicious flavour and was quite dissapointed that they did this here.<br/>The saving grace was dessert - they were all equally fabulous! I'm not a crazy dessert fan and hardly order it but I'm glad I did. <br/>If you're coming to farm vigano I recommend just coming for dessert and a drink. <br/><br/>I must add the staff were all lovely and attentive, and the restaurant it self was beautiful.
Grace Liu
Pizza and pasta 🍝 is the best! <br/>The base is crispy and the topping is just well cooked.<br/>We had a bottle of wine and it went really well with the food. <br/>The only disappointment was the roast pork and lamb... didn't taste nice.. not much flavour.. won't order them again. <br/>But will definitely come here for pizza and pasta.
Tony
Fantastic food and scenery. Must have antipasto and share plates. Very reasonably priced. Family friendly and staff were excellent. Will be back. 👍👍.
Ess
Lovely place and ambience. Food is quality. However service was a let down. I'd give that a 2. Ordered a flat white and came to the table spilled and luke warm and more of a cappuccino. Waitress didn't bother making it again but told me to clean it up with a napkin. Don't bother bringing to all the way to the table if it's spilled please!! If you enjoy good coffee this isn't the place to come.
Pasta Princess
They serve top quality pizzas using really fresh ingredients and such an absolutely gorgeous setting. Worth going just to feel like you are far away from suburbia. Other dishes are delicious overall.

Second time round at Farm Vigano – still amazes me of the wonderful venue in the middle of a residential neighborhood. A lovely private estate with extensive gardens and beautiful views of the northern suburbs. The menu mostly include Gourmet pizza and antipasti. Menu is quite confusing to be honest. Prices are on the high side – About $15-25 for a medium size pizza.<br/> <br/><br/>Great service from booking to on the day. Foods were simple and presented beautifully. I wanted something light so got the Buttermilk fried chicken tenderloins & mustard mayonnaise. I didn’t get much for $16 but it was good nether-less. Definitely wouldn’t call it a share plate.. I ate it all myself! The chicken was moist and the mayo was delicious.<br/><br/>Had a slice of a friends Melanzane pizza which had a perfect base with delicious roasted eggplant and roasted zucchini. I would be happier with perhaps more fillings though....

When you drive into this area you wouldn't know there's a restaurant there. But you drive into this amazing property with expanding views. It's just gorgeous. I went there with my family and we ordered the sharing menu. Soooooo much food! But so much great food. We were going to make a couple of additions, but we're so glad we decided not to. We're European, so not afraid to eat and we left so much food that it was heartbreaking. It was so good that we tried really hard to finish it all, but the servings were so generous there was no way we were going to eat it all.<br/><br/>Service was outstanding. Our server was called Maz and she was so down to earth, attentive and fun and made our experience all the more enjoyable.<br/><br/>I highly recommend Farm Vigano!
Catherine Kerr
Average food, Pizza was burnt on the bottom, slow roasted meats were overcooked (dry) and flavourless, between entree and pizza was nearly an hour wait. overpriced for the amount of food we received (set menu). would not go back.
GG
Love this place! We had our wedding here and I can't fault a single thing. The care Suzi, David, Bart and their team took of ourselves in the lead up and family on the night was most memorable and appreciated. The Food is fresh and vibrant full of love, our Italian wines matched everything beautifully, the stunning views of the well manicured grounds filled our reception last but not least the space is modern and rustic at the same time, full of natural light and beauty. Any chance we get to talk about Farm Vigano we do! Can't wait to come back soon.

Unfortunately came on a dark night so couldn't see the surroundings( hear many great reviews on the scenery) Quite pricey for what the food is, other then that good food, could use abit more care for some items (meat was overcooked). A good gem hidden in South Morang but expensive casual dining.
Il Buongustaio
The is one off the best meals a ever had for quality and price from the prosciutto plater and home made focaccia the calamari is fantastic nice dressing on the salad fried to perfection the pizza is good size I always go on Sunday afternoon for late lunch good atmosphere and great service finish off with the porchetta with capers or the oven braised lamb and finish off with some cannoli or the lemon Tart I defenetly recommend to try

How beautiful! A gorgeous place that has incredible service and a beautiful family ambiance. We came here for a lunch without baby but we could have bought her along; there were lots of kids eating. We had the chicken tenderloins and the rib eye with potatoes and broccoli - the chilli and garlic was just in right proportions and was totally refreshing. We had the traditional doughnuts and tiramisu for dessert. Both yummy! The service was great; wait staff with such flair and such a welcoming manor are worth their weight in gold and add to the experience.
Ashley Swallow
We had the pleasure of having the sharing menu, what an amazing experience!! The starting platter is well presented and delicious! We then shared a variety of pizzas which were all brilliant and tasty. The slow cooked lamb was some of the best slow cooked meat I've eaten! <br/>The decor and surroundings are lovely. The staff certainly make this restaurant as they are really attentive, know the menu well.
Bonastar1977
Absolutely amazing place!! No other place like it! Everything is simply perfect - the food, the price, the service and the setting is just perfect!! I highly recommend.

Great venue, fantastic food. Good service, friendly staff. But too many flies in the restaurant!<br/><br/>We had the sharing menu between ten of us and it was superb.

Been to Farm Vigano twice and this place gets better and better. Whether it's a large family event for dinner or a casual lunch catch up outside in the sun, the food and wonderfully attentive staff make this dining experience one that will make you want to come back for more.<br/><br/>Love the family history and the surrounds of the Plenty River.
Gianni
The Venue is lovely and the food is nice enough,<br/><br/>However I just can't get over the excessive and rigid policies they have regarding bookings, functions and conduct of customers. You need a law degree to understand most of them and they make you feel very unwelcomed in general - as if they only care for their profit and not the customers. Examples of this include if you cancel a function Farm Vigano may seek to reimbursement for produce purchased to cater for it. I understand why but once again I find it quite demeaning to customers. They also charge $2 per person for cakeage which is quite ridiculous and I believe should simply be part of the service of a good restaurant.<br/><br/>Farm Vigano is a decent enough restaurant, but unless you are prepared to probably be served with a lawsuit do read the many policies before booking. Or, perhaps a better option is to give this one a miss.
Yasmin
The food is average. Service is unfriendly. If you're paying by card, there is a 2.5% surcharge. To top that off, in the rush of us leaving we had not properly checked the tax invoice and had been charged for a desert we did not order!!!! So disappointed that a random desert was tacked on to our invoice. Will not be returning.

2017-Back again this year for my friends birthday lunch a year later. (Her request to come back as she loved the food so much.) it lived up to our expectations. The food perfection; ambience-serene; and surprisingly even though the place was full you could still hear each other talking. Can't wait to return. I won't be leaving it so long before I am back with my husband.<br/><br/>2016-Excellent lunch today, service attentive and food sensational!!!! Will definitely be back. The slow cooked lamb which serves 2 could actually serve 3. Very generous and yummy

What an amazing venue! The food was divine. My friend was able to bring her dog as we were seated outside. This place is a hidden treasure tucked away in suburban Victoria and is definitely a beautiful venue to have a wedding reception.

We had my niece's confirmation and nephew's communion here today and yet again it did not disappoint. All the guests raved about the location tucked away in suburbia that opened up into a beautiful picturesque villa. The food was delicious and with a room full of Italians it did not disappoint! The staff worked so hard to make sure the event ran smoothly and were amazing. I could not recommend this venue enough for an event big or small.
Natalie NC
Food is absolutely delicious !! I just wish they had a bit more on the menu though... The gardens are beautiful it's so nice to eat and enjoy the beautiful view

This place has been on my list!! I always drive by on Plenty Road and i love how it's local. The place is just so pretty with gorgeous views. Not only that, great customer service and i love the little decor. I definetly would like to have lunch/dinner there one day? But antipasto had to do for today! And it was amazing! Green tea was a little bit too strong but that's okay. I enjoyed the meal. The pizza bread was so crispy. (My fav). Panna cotta tasted great!! The berries had like a jelly like texture to it which I didn't mind. You could really taste the vanilla.
David
Not sure what the food is like because we experienced such poor service that we left. We arrived not realizing that you needed to book for this restaurant. When we arrived we were told that we were meant to book followed by "Let me see what I can do". We were then left waiting for 25 minutes. When someone in our group asked if we were getting a table, she was told that she didn't know and that she had to seat all of her bookings first. I'm not sure how long she thought we were going to stand there. Really terrible service. Either tell us how long we'll be waiting or that you don't have a table, don't waste people's time!
Renee
Beautiful food and friendly service. We went for a Sunday lunch and enjoyed the bruschetta, calamari, pizzas and salad<br/>Quite pricey but nice treat
Liza
Absolutely amazing! The food was incredible! The service was impeccable and the views and surrounds were out of this world! Cannot wait to go back!!!

Great service and amazing food!<br/>Highly recommend the pizza's.<br/>We went back again a week later because we loved it. <br/>The scenery was so beautiful, especially on sunny days!
EatlikeaCorgi
Five of us had lunch here recently. We opted for the $25 two course, plus one glass of wine special, which was great value!<br/>The lamb and pork were slow cooked and both had a good sauce. The crumbed calamari were 'standard' and the wagyu beef was a very thinly sliced small serve of beef.<br/>Sides cost extra - potatoes and broccolini were very tasty. <br/>Unfortunately, all dishes did not arrive together. Even though the venue was not busy, we had to remind our waitress that we had ordered sides and a bottle of red.<br/>The sides and wine arrived too late , consequently, detracting from a potentially high standard meal!<br/>Desserts were enjoyable, although the doughnuts were a bit dry and hard on the outside.<br/>Good food needs to be supported by good service - this combination keeps people returning.
Sally
Definitely the best dining experience I've ever had. The food was super delicious. Love the history of the place and the Italian connection. The service was awesome, I was served by the most friendly and attentive waiter called Thomas (nickname- Clark Kent) who gave us the most amazing experience. Will be coming back!
Beez
Wow the only thing better than the food is the view. Loved walking the grounds after lunch. Perfect place to spend a lazy lunch with a young family
George G
The food, service and surroundings absolutely phenomenal !!!! David you and your staff were truly amazing and left fully satisfied as were our guests. You have definitely made a preacher out of me and my guests are still talking about it.
Tania Soccio
Love this for a local pizza restaurant. The venue is just beautiful! Pizzas are very yummy, great for a day time lunch venue as views are beautiful. Outdoor area is very nice in summer and the bar is stocked with a great selection!
Angelalady12
A booking of 20 people on a shared menu well in advance should be a walk in the park for  anyone who runs a restaurant . Had interstate guests for a special occasion and was totally embarrassed by the shocking service.<br/>Ran out of bread so had to wait. O they cook it on the premises.. so what only as you order??<br/>Drinks - quicker if I got up and got them myself.<br/>Coffees arrived after we were asked to go sit outside as they needed to reset for the evening sitting .<br/>Heaven help us if we ordered al a carte!<br/>The arrogance to not even offering an apology for a shocking day.<br/>Employ more staff or don't book so many.<br/>Never again!
KarlL
Top place, top location, great food, can't fault it. The place to go for a good wood oven pizza and perhaps a selection of smaller dishes to share. Love it at farm Vigano. If I was to say one negative. Staff need to remember that all customers are paying visitors. Regardless of nationality as I notice each time certain people get good attention whilst the others have to wait and get someone's attention
AV
I gave this place another go and got takeaway, can you believe the staff would not walk out their front door to give my husband the takeaway, my daughter was crying in the car and they wouldn't give him the takeaway. <br/>I don't have any complaints about the food. The service on the other hand is so bad. There is this one lady, I wish I knew her name, should be sacked. She had so much attitude, I'm shocked she still works there.<br/><br/><br/><br/>I have been here many times because the food is great, the service however has been on a decline and my last visit confirmed that. The lady at the bar had so much attitude and was so unprofessional, I can't believe she works there and gets away with it! Another staff member was there to witness her behaviour and all she could say was 'sorry'.<br/>The 1 rating is for the staff that I dealt with
MissMBD
I came here with my best friend about 2 weeks ago. Firstly, the food is delicious. It actually tastes like authentic Italian cusine! We ordered the Antipasto first that had the perfect combination of everything except for cheese and the fact that it states that it feed 4 people when it clearly didn't. Would be nice to see more cheese on it and more of the antipasto on it but still very very VERY scrumptious. <br/>We then proceeded to continue with mains. I ordered the artichoke pizza which I wish I was eating right now. That is how delicious this pizza was. It tasted amazing and it was cooked to perfection. We opt. for dessert which there wasn't much of selection. We got the dough balls and berry panacotta. The dough balls were delightful and the panacotta was made perfectly with a lovely taste. <br/><br/>The only issue and criticism with this place is the staff. Very prompt service however not one staff member that served us that night had a smile on their face. They looked like they didn't want to be there at all and almost felt as if they were rushing us. (I also was at Farm Vigano for an engagement not too long ago; I felt like the same issue was at hand.) I understand that not everyone can be smiling 24/7 at work (from experience; 10 years of customer experience under my belt) but at least when speaking to a customer it wouldn't kill you to give a polite few words and a smile. <br/><br/>Overall absolutely fantastic and delicious food just service needs some scrubbing up on the manners and friendliness. Would definitely still recommend.
Alcobon
Great Italian restaurant with stunning views over the gorge. I came here with two girlfriends and and a toddler and the staff were very accommodating of a few special requests. Pizzas were fresh and tasty.
Stephanie
Took our family here to celebrate my Mums 60th birthday, after reading rave reviews online. I wish we had never bothered. The best part about this place is the view and location. The food is massively overrated- it's basically a crappy pizza restaurant with a fancy Italian worded menu. Nothing to rave about at all. But by far the worst part was the rude/terrible service. It took over half an hour for our entree (one pizza) to come out then another 40 mins for our barely warm mains. We then ordered coffees which also took over half an hour - for four whole cappacinos! Disgraceful! The waitress was rude and impatient and clearly didn't want to be there. An overall terrible experience and even though It's a 30 second drive from my house, I will never be returning. Very very disappointing Farm Vigano.!
Keith
The location is the only good thing about thsi place. The staff is really rude which you will see right from the entrance.  We were there on a Sunday afternoon and one of the senior( she worn different colored uniform to other waitress)staff has no manner, we were there to enjoy the food and chat, but this didn't happen. I have never experience anything worse when I walk in as a customer.
Keisanda123
It was such an unpleasant experience and so disappointed! It is not because of food or waitress but because of the floor manager her name was showed as Susan.<br/>I can not believe how rude she was! .The location is great but we will never recommend to anyone or go back again, because the restaurant do not understand what is the customer service mean.
Beth Higgins
I would like to preface this by saying that I have had a good experience before, I still maintain that the food and place is lovely. However on my most recent visit to Farm Vigano on the 12th of December I had the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. My boyfriend and I didn't even stay an hour because we were so unhappy with the service we received from a waitress who I won't name here. <br/><br/>To start with. We ordered an entree of calamari, and for the main we ordered a pizza and the slow cooked pork...all of this to share. The waitress then decided to tell us that it was too much food and that we wouldn't be able to eat it all, at one point stating that 300 grams of pork was too much and that a usual steak is 150 grams (I beg to differ). While the waitress kept maintaining that it was only advice, she was clearly pressuring us out of ordering the food we wanted to eat. <br/><br/>Eventually we decided that rather than suffer more judgement we would share two pizzas instead. When the waitress returned I asked for the same order with another pizza rather than the pork. 15 minutes later a different waitress returns with our pizzas and when I asked after our calamari entree, she asked the original waitress who said we didn't want it. The waitress said she would take back the pizzas, and order the calamari and then bring the pizzas back later. Being as hungry and frustrated as we were - we just ate the pizzas. <br/><br/>Not wanting to put up with anymore of the waitress and the terrible service - we left still hungry, very very angry and with our anniversary ruined. Never have I ever been to a restaurant where the waitress tells you what you can and can't eat, where she pressures you out of the food you want and are prepared to pay for, who assumes how much her customers are able to consume and doesn't confirm an order (especially when it has been altered). <br/><br/>Extremely unimpressed, very angry and won't be returning any time soon.
Sofie Angel
You're wasting your time if you go here just for pizza. Have been here twice with the family and had the banquet. It's a lot of food but totally worth it for the experience of eating and drinking your way through a lazy Sunday afternoon. My favourite is the roasted meats - absolutely mouth watering, falling off the bone goodness served with perfectly crunchy roasted potatoes and crispy fresh salad. Just be prepared for the steep walk from the car park.
Hilary Coward
Farm Vigano's best asset is the setting, lovely gardens and a beautiful building definitely set the mood. The pizzas here are tasty but I've found, compared to other thin crust traditional Italian style pizzas, they lack a little flavour. It's on the pricier side so if you're after a cheap lunch here is not the place.
Jennifer
Good service and consistently tasty food - Well done! The gorgeous scenery is an added bonus! One of the best eateries in the Northern suburbs.
Sandeep
I was sold on the pizzas but then the mains came out... Delicious. The Italian wines are also well matched to the meals. <br/>Great, friendly service too

Delighted that such a lovely restaurant exists in South Morang and on the edge of the Gorge State Forest. Beautiful setting and views over the gorge and upbeat vibe.  All the waiting staff were very chatty, friendly and professional - we were made to feel very welcome.  Food was very good - fresh pasta with lemon and thyme sauce, fried chicken done delicately, and twice cooked potatoes and classic rocket salad.  All very good quality - but it really is the setting, views, energy, and decor that makes this experience special.  Such a gem.  We'll be back for pizza on the terrace on the next warm spring day!
Lauren
I would love to give this restaurant a 5 but unfortunately to my understanding I can't. I recently dined at the restaurant with two others and wanted to spend a lovely spring night outside sitting at a table with no light how great.. Not!<br/>Service was appalling with little help of what to order and the fact that I was told there was no Sanpelligrino mineral water and could do with an alternative was okay until I was brought out a 750ml bottle!! Firstly I would have liked to be informed or questioned about whether I was going to get it in a glass or huge bottle. Secondly myself and my friends don't appreciate the waiter eaves dropping a conversation in which my friend said 'the food was raw',was mistaken for the waiter thinking we were talking about the food we actually thought the pizzas were nice but she could've asked us how our meals were and at least look like she enjoyed working there, the rudeness made us uncomfortable and unwelcome. <br/>Lastly we don't like cold fries..yes I complained!<br/>I could suggest improving the service immensely because the atmosphere is actually lovely, train your staff to not give dirty looks and to serve with enthusiasm and not like they are bored.<br/>I have been here a few times before and this time sure did disappoint!
Angel
The food here is just so good, but the service, or lack of service staff, really lets it down.<br/>Antipasto, prawns, mussels, pizzas... All excellent. <br/>The venue has a lovely feel, secluded in the gorge.<br/>But the floor staff on both our recent visits have not coped with the demands of the dining room, and it feels grossly understaffed. <br/>In short, if you don't mind waiting... a lot... Well worth it.

I love everything about this venue! The staff are friendly, the pizza is delicious, and the scenery is beautiful. I will definitely be back.

So if you're looking for the perfect place to spend your lunch, this is the place to be. Imagine a warm Spring afternoon, out on the terrace having a glass of wine and a gourmet pizza. Just lovely. Perfect for a lunch with the family or a romantic lunch / dinner.

You know there is a problem before you even eat when you're told to use the atm to buy drinks, especially in a condescending way - no class here it's all smile no teeth, all sizzle no steak, it's a trap for the faux farm trends- stay away last time here.
Agostino
Today, we were there fo lunch... The starters were fantastic, absolutely unique. The pizza very high class... Service excellent... This is my place... Italiano nel modo di fare e di servire. Bravi!!!!<br/><br/>

I had known about this place for a while. Some friends of ours had gone there, and had mentioned that they primarily did pizza. I saw the same online, and along with some inconsistent reviews, decided that ‘pizza’ wasn’t enough to get me over to South Morang (say Moranj*) alone. Boy was I wrong.
Mamma Bear
The price for what you actually get is really not worth it for the group set menu meals, and there is not a lot of flavour to the food either.  I wasn't at all impressed with the staff, not friendly and attentive at all and the wait for the food to come out was ridiculous!

My new favourite local<br/>Fabulous location, delicious pizza, great staff. <br/>We even had a hit on the tennis court :)<br/>Looking forward to becoming a regular here.

Highly recommended place for good, authentic Italian food with great views of the plenty ranges! Antipasto and zuppo di pesce were absolutely delicious! Definitely worth coming back for over and over again.

WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT ON MOTHER'S DAY. Beautiful surroundings but unfortunately that's it. The mother's day lunch was a rip off i could have prepared the meal at home and i am no chef. certainly that was not Italian cuisine unless it is some new age dining. For the cost i would have expected something a little more special but unfortunately my grand children were still hungry as no children's meal was provided which led to having to stop on the way home. The desert was a joke and to add insult to injury coffee and tea were not included in the set menu someone is trying to become rich overnight but with service that we received it can only lead to failure.Table service was very poor and felt like it was an inconvenience for them and a rude attitude. We will not be returning to your restaurant and will certainly not give any recommendations.

Visited for Mother's Day lunch at 11am sitting with family, party of 11.<br/>Was wonderful from the get go - Mum's received a lovely glass of sparkling wine! Delicious antipasto platters & pizzas to share. Pizzas are fantastic - thin base, fresh tomato sugo - took me back to Italy...<br/>Main course was melt in your mouth slow cooked lamb & pork with salsa verde accompanied by roasted potatoes, carrots & salad.<br/>Children were also very well catered for with their own margerita pizzas & chips!<br/>Dessert was a few small Italian cakes (the only downfall - could have been a few more...).<br/>Service was 10/10 - waitresses were so lovely, friendly but professional. Never in your face, but always nearby if you needed them.<br/>There was even a gorgeous Italian 'musical' couple, gentleman playing piano accordion and lady playing guitar, both singing - they were fun!<br/>It was a great day all round. Grazie Farm Vigano!!

NO VARIETY AND A WASTE OF MONEY!. Went to Farm Vigano for dinner on Mothers Day 2015. Firstly the table behind us who arrived 20 minutes later had all there dishes served before we did. There was 6 adults dinning on our table and we had to share 1 plate of meat, 1 plate of vegetables (a handful of carrots and potatoes) and a bowl of salad between us meanwhile the table behind us with 4 adults had double the amount of food we had. When we confronted the waitress about it she was quick to defend the chefs telling us it is how the chef operate in the kitchen and their rules; we had then received a second plate of vegetables and salad then offered us free dessert which was nothing great. Right from the start, the staff were cleaning up our plates while we were still trying to eat, had not finished with the antipasto platter and while others hadn't finished their main meal. They had no variety to their set menu, the food was bland and a waste of $500 spent.

A favourite. Have been here numerous times and never been disappointed. Firstly, the surrounds and the ambience are second to none - palm trees, cypresses, bocce space, lemon grove, fruit orchard, and the stonework is all beautiful. The food always pleases: lovely thin crust pizzas with fresh gourmet ingredients; pastas are inventive and delicious (the pumpkin ravioli with burnt butter, sage, and crushed amaretto is a favourite, when on the menu); antipasto platters are a smorgasbord of quality European smallgoods (the blue cheese is particularly great, as are the artichokes) and desserts are on the small side but always taste good. And the lamb platters - wow! The salsa verde is excellent. This place is about as close to Southern Italy as you can get in metropolitan Melbourne, as are the pizzas. I'm bewildered by some of the other commenters below criticising these in particular - they look and taste like they do in Naples?! If you prefer thick crust and thick toppings, this place isn't for you. But if you're looking for simple, tasty fare with good ingredients, this is the place.

Nice food, only bad thing was the wasps outside.

Good food, attentive service. The menu at 'Farm Vigano' is not a very extensive one, but we went for the pizza and the pizzas were well above average. They cost around $20 each and the bases were thin and beautifully crispy, with quality toppings that were not overloaded. It's better to have fewer quality ingredients than piled-on cheaper ingredients. The only thing I would change would be the amount of tomato sauce on each pizza, I felt it [just] wasn't quite enough, making the pizzas a touch on the dry side. I normally steer clear of non-traditional toppings, but the 'bianca con patata' pizza was a perfect blend of thinly sliced roasted potato, Spanish onion rings, chilli and fresh rosemary. It sounds like a strange combination, but it really worked for me. The service was very good, striking the right balance between attentiveness and distance, with waiting staff watching carefully without being all over you. My desert of 'calzone dolce' ($14) was nice but contained too much nutella and not enough banana for my liking.<br/><br/>A few [very] minor downsides though - menus were sheets of paper (I felt like I was in Macca's when these were handed to us), background music was a little too loud and modern, the table had a plastic container of Trapani salt instead of a nice dispenser.<br/><br/>Overall I would gladly go back to dine at 'Farm Vigano'. The food is good, the prices are reasonable and the few minor niggles I have are definitely not show stoppers.

Went for lunch... Service was friendly but at the end of the day you're there for the food ..Ever course was ordinary and bland

Worst value for money and very poor menu. Celebrated my grand daughters birthday there tonight . Very disappointed. Poor menu choices , expensive and the quality of food was poor - very oily pasta and fatty snitzel.<br/><br/>Do not go there if you want value for money and a menu with some variety of choices.

Disappointed. Booked a table for 8 friends. ...when asked if we could move outside waitress was very rude and we had obviously asked for too much. Loud cramped food average. Wouldn't go again

A friend of mine who taught me how to make pizza highly recommended it, and on arriving there I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was dark now and we simply following the lights, and arriving at the building it was inviting, semi-formal and highly romantic with a country feel to it. Seated next to the window you could see out into the countryside.

Yeah, you right that right. South Morang . No, I wouldn't have guessed it either. Hidden in the middle of the northern suburban sprawl, among new residential estates, commercial buildings and retail shops is a charming Italian restaurant nestled against a gorgeous natural backdrop. When I was first directed to go there last year (for a catch-up with a gathering with friends), I thought we were headed to some La Porchetta type place - given its location (no offense, nothing wrong with La Porchetta if you're after basic food at pretty average prices; and no offense to South Morang, you just wouldn't pick this as the type of place to be hidden here). But when I drove into the parking lot, I was confused . When I walked into the front door, I was stunned . So convinced was I that I had imagined its entire existence, that a few days later, I took Shawn there to prove my sanity (or insanity). Yup! I'm sane, it was still there! Hidden at the back of an actual neighborhood is  Farm Vigano , si

Disappointing - When a venue is in a hard to find location, it has to trade on service and food quality. Unfortunately they failed to satisfy on both . When you are ordering a pizza and a side of potatoes it should not be hard to coordinate them to come out together let alone a poor excuse for their failure . An attempt to redeem themselves resulted in a pizza that more resembled a soup. A disappointing slide from the excellent impression we got from our previous visit 18 months ago. What started as a potential wedding venue has been scratched off the list<br/><br/><br/>-----03 Feb, 2015-----<br/><br/>When a venue is in a hard to find location, it has to trade on service and food quality. A hidden treasure. I have been here a few times, pizza great, share dishes tasty and fresh. Superb views. Staff a little slow but gives you more time to soak up the view.... Well worth the visit.

Went there over the weekend... the pizza is not that flash, but lets face it who goes to dinner at a restaurant like that for pizza. the food is amazing and soooo fresh.. loved it. will be going there more often

10/10. My boyfriend and I finally came here to see what all the fuss is about; now we understand why everyone who mentions Farm Vigano raves about it. We had pizza/pasta and it was delicious!! The staff were friendly and the surroundings were magnificent!! We will definitely be back.

So glad we finally got around to trying this place! It's going to be one of our new favourite places. The food was beautiful - the pizzas and blue swimmer crab croquettes are terrific! The atmosphere - friendly and warm. The service - terrific, the wait staff are very knowledgable and offered great advice. The property is stunning, can't wait to return.

Perfect wedding and oh my gosh that food is divine!. If anyone is looking into holding a wedding at Farm Vigano, my advice is DO IT. We had the most amazing experience. Suzie, David and the team made our wedding planning and our special day so easy. Nothing was too challenging, and I always left our meetings feeling so much more relaxed (not a usual emotion for stressed out brides!). We had the most gorgeous ceremony and reception at this beautiful restaurant. Our guests are still raving about the food. It was share-plate style which meant no swapping for food you liked, and it was done in Italian style- nobody was hungry. The food is divine- we ate here every time we came to visit for our wedding planning, and we're looking forward to celebrating more special events here in the future.<br/>Thanks Farm Vigano, Love Mr and Mrs Stevens

Frank. Absolutely waste of money. Extremely ordinary. Mc Donald's is better.
Annie
Good Antipasti. Good food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Service was a little slow and they didnt come back to ask us if we wanted drinks we had to keep asking. However all in all good. Will try again.
Angela
Absolutely beautiful! Lovely surroundings, authentic food and great service. Could not ask for better!

Food was lovely and service was fantastic! I'll keep coming back!

Lovely lunch. Service was friendly and attentive. Ambience was fantastic, looking out over the plenty gorge from on high. View from ladies toilet is great. Simple food but presented well and tasty. Reasonable prices. Only complaint, the 'bread' I ordered to soak up the sauce of my fish dish was a had non-soaking up pizza like bread, which tasted good but didn't soak. Will try it again. Lovely for lunch.

Felt like Tuscany. Authentic Italian food in a beautiful environment. Felt like a little peice of Tuscany right here in Melbourne. The restaurant has an outdoor dining area which was amazing in the spring sun. Service was great - without asking the waitress brought our 2 year old some paper and pencils to keep him entertained (even though we did not have to wait long at all for our food). Will be back.

Fresh and great menu. Grabbed a quick lunch here with my man and we were really impressed with the excellent service, prompt meal and range on the wine list. Can only fault them on not offering secondary drinks sooner and we had to ask twice for one. Aside from this the food was excellent, fresh and not too bad on price. <br/><br/>Visited again recently with a group and we ordered the banquet and were again impressed with the food and service<br/><br/>Definitely one to come back to.

Not happy.... The food was interesting. The value, service, serving sizes, and attitude were terrible. We ended up leaving with the feeling that we still hadn't spent enough money to earn their respect. The place is crowded with enough folks that seem happy with high prices and slow service, so they probably didn't care about our small group of three.

The chef definitely knows how to bake the pizza dough and punch in fresh flavour. We always have the pizzas and also try the calamari which is amazing. The Nutella dessert is a must try, very light and the ultimate woman's chocolate fantasy!
Michael
The food is bloody fantastic. David the owner is most welcoming, wonderful views, sensational pizza, amazing seafood. Just a great dining experience in the country :). Thumbs up!!!

A hidden jewel!. Lovely surprise!! Worth checking out. Stunning surrounds. Blue swimmer croquettes were lovely but the prosciutto on out pizza way sliced way too thick. If you're after a quiet lunch, don't go on a Sunday! Way too many families with young children. Will definitely revisit on another day/night
Stephanie
Perfect pizza perfect people = perfect place :) very content with my experience and very beautiful people felt welcomed

Mrs A Raschella. My daughter had her wedding cocktail reception at Farm Vigano in March. It was perfect, faultless. Everything went to plan, the food was great and the service fantastic. Went for dinner last week-end, once again the food great, atmosphere and service perfect.

Average pizza and very avarage waitress. Price of pizza were all $20 which looked reasonable on menu. Found out why later when a less than generous medium size pizza arrived with only a scatter of the ingredients stated. Ie cherry tomatoes, I got 3 halves on the pizza. The pizza looks tastier than it actually is.<br/>Wine per glass was about $9 for about 150ml, most desserts were about $15 and servings were small. I had neither but from others on the table of over a dozen of us, the general feel was of disappointment.<br/>To top it off we had a waitress who should consider doing another job that doesn't involve any type of customer interaction ie kitchen hand maybe - way too abrupt <br/>Overall way too expensive for a place in the middle of nowhere to be charging inner city rates and in return getting much less and getting it in a rude manner. Maybe have a look at your competition ie doc, terra nova, 400 gradi etc and take some notes from them.

Not Diabetic Friendly. Very limited options if you're a diabetic. Was with a group last night and struggled for choices. What I had was average and not worth the money. Won't be going back there in a hurry.

Hidden jewel. A trip to Farm Vigano is a must. This farm, hidden away in the suburban north, has become a favourite. It's beautifully situated on an open land, it has serene atmosphere and surrounded by nature. For our first visit we had their unlimited gourmet pizza menu, where they'll keep bringing out pizzas until you tell them to stop! This worked out at better cost for a large group. Our second visit was for a wedding reception. Although the food is always amazing, the portions per table were small and somewhat disappointing. Not as unlimited as their pizza menu. We came back for a third time and had something else on the menu for dinner. I can say that their chef and ability to create heavenly food pairings will keep me and hubby coming back. Kudos to the staff who are on the ball and make your experience with them a comfortable one.

Great place with great food and good service. Two thumbs up!

More good than bad. Very generous quantities, well presented and tasty. semi-outdoor dining with lovely view across valley. Service was slow. Cardboard salt shaker on table lacked class.
Ttsokas
Bland, expensive food. A recommendation from others that left me quite disappointed. Happy to pay for quality. The key word here is quality.<br/><br/>Stringy and dry lamb, that was supposedly slow cooked, was quite ordinary, with baked potatoes that were exceedingly salty.<br/><br/>The two pizzas were loaded with what appeared to be tomato puree with very little topping.<br/><br/>Two pizzas and some lamb and a couple of wines ended up $130.00.<br/><br/>Poor quality food and poor value for the money. You can do much better.<br/><br/>Give this place a miss.

Consistently good. We discovered this gem over a year ago, great bonus for the locals. My family and I have had dinner and lunch on a numerous occasions now and have found that Farm Vigano's Chefs and staff have not let us down, please don't chance. The quality of the food is authentically 'squisito' and consistent like an Italian grandma's kitchen. The staff have been courteous every time and the menu ample with delicious choices from starters, pizza, orecchietti con broccoli (yum, yum) to desserts. Well done Farm Vigano and thank you for showing it can be done without being heavy handed with salt. Your pizza sauce is TOP GRADE. A very happy customer who very rarely recommends restaurants, but this one is well deserved.

A fantastic and unique find in the northern suburbs. The views, decor and service are great. The gourmet pizzas are fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the carciofi e prosciutto pizza. A great place to go to for a special occasion.

Can't believe it!!! I have just read the most recent reviews and am glad I didn't rely on them to visit. My wife and I eat out quite regularly and are well travelled. Our recent experience at Farm Vigano exceeded our expectations. What an amazing venue with soulful Italian food served by amazing staff. Farm Vigano is for the cultured and knowledge diner only.

Meh.... I stewed over a title for this review but it was difficult to sum up our visit. I attended with my wife and 2 other couples. We originally wanted the sharing menu option but at $50 the contents (No value IMO) we decided to order pizzas. The service from some staff was mediocre at best and they offer No split bills, NO SAVINGS Eftpos facilty; only credit (4% surcharge) or cash so this needs to be factored in. Unfortunately, unless you have no other options, meet and dine somewhere else.

Will not go back until car park is done. My car is filthy when I leave that car park with that dust

Food was nice however service was shocking. Mains took 1 hour to come out, just for pizza. We then sat waiting for nearly half an hour to get a dessert menu before having to get it ourselves. Had to flag down a staff member to order then waited another half an hour for dessert to come out. Staff didn't seem to care at all.
RayCharles
The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff exceptional but unfortunately I can't say the same about the pizza. I enjoy a thin pizza base but not when it's so thin that it falls apart when trying to eat it. The tomato base was raw and together the ingredients lacked flavour.

So many mixed review here , but I finally decided for myself , if today drink and meal is any indicator i will be back again and again ! Staff friendly , attentive without being pretentious even though, it's the closest South Morang will get or probably ever get , to almost silver service ! One espresso Martini, six garlic chilli prawns and I large bowl of an ancient grain pomegranate salad $45 ! I doubt I would have found this meal any cheaper at a similar venue in the city or nearby swanky suburbs !' for those critics who keep stating that farm vigano is too expensive, you people need to get out more ! It's a hidden gem and we need to promote it and keep it safe ! The grounds are simply stunning and I believe the quality is a equal to the views you have the privilege to sit amongst !!

Excellent..bellissimo.. We ate at Farm Vigano for the second time, and introduced friends to this lovely dining experience. <br/>It is a culinary delight. Outstanding service, excellent food and a beautiful scenic background. <br/>Thank you to the staff at a Farm Vigano for making this a winner with us. <br/>We will return...often.

Food good, such a shame the service was bad. Had to ask for water twice, had to get cracked pepper ourself from another table. Empty wine bottle in bucket from previous customer. When paying the bill the guy on register did not say one word. A shame as we live local and it could have been a good place to go.

Recommended!. First time reviewer and on account of word of mouth booked a table at Farm Vigano, arrived late and despite giving our table away due to being busy, staff accommodated us. Guided by our waiter we enjoyed a spread of antipasto, share plates and pizza. Looking forward to bringing some friends!
Effie
Antipasto platter was boring and bland. Pizza was salty also.<br/>Went with group of friends and had to do the sharing menu ($40 each). Couldn't pick the pizzas. Not enough platters nor salads to cover the amount of ppl. Have addressed this with FM also and they made excuses. Spent over $1000 and dissatisfied. Won't be going again!

I loved this place. The setting was beautiful, the pizzas lovely and the service was well timed. I went with friends and they were not push yet attentive. Will definitely be a regular!
Conapples
Being part of a group, we were forced to order the group menu, for $40 per person. in short, my wife and I paid $80 plus drinks, for some antipasto, a salad and pizza. what a f***ing rip off!

Great Food Better Location. Great selection of pizza's in a beautiful location didnt feel like i was still in melbourne, really looking forward to our next visit and great service too.

Excellent pizza and service, we had birthday lunch on Friday it was very busy with large xmas party tables and still we did not wait for service and food was excellent!! Perfect pizza and best Tiramsu ever!! <br/>Be aware of take away pizza, we ordered TA and they had run out of boxes so we had TA pizza in foil, it was soggy and inedible, they didn't tell us when we phoned.
Dieter
Quality food, professional service and a great setting. It's a winner. Worth the money.
Mary
VERY DISAPPOINTED. My husband and I were there at the weekend, we were charged $34.00 for an antipasto platter for two, very expensive for what was served on the plate, the wine was expensive as well at $9.00 a glass. The pizza we ordered was very bland and not worth the $18.00 at all. The service was so slow, we waited 30 minutes for the dessert menu and no one turned up at our table, so we decided to leave. We will not go back there again!!!
Tania Delia
Wow what a great restaurant , the food was the best I have had for a long time! The lamb just melted in our mouth, views are lovely and service was great, I will definitely be going back! How come I have never heard of this restaurant before!!!

Amazing. My daughter wanted to have her wedding at Farm Vigano, so we went there for a meal and to get a feel for the venue. We thought the produce used was quality and fresh and food very tasty.<br/><br/>The wedding and reception was held at Farm Vigano on the weekend. The atmosphere was fantastic and I could not fault any of the arrangements either before or on the day. The whole occasion was relaxed and seamless. The management and staff were all on the ball the whole night and no one wanted for anything. The menu was magnificent and more than enough food was served. People with special dietary requirements were also well catered for. All the guests on the night had nothing but positive comments about their experience. Thank you David, Natasha and staff for a very memorable occasion.

FABULOUS!!. Beautiful restaurant, delightful setting and atmosphere perfect. The food was just beautiful, real authentic Italian food. Service was great and our waitress Mariana was friendly & attentive.Good work Farm Vigano will definitely be back again!

By far one of the best traditional style Italian restaurants. Their anti pasto dish I would say is the signature dish. Friendly service, very clean, and all dishes are superb. The pizza a flat thin with little and select toppings and cooked to perfection. Definitely this place is a winner!!
Supersal
Perfect atmosphere. First impressions were 'oh my, this place is beautiful, hope the food is good!'. But alas, the food was very mediocre. Absolutely go, definitely go for the experience of dining somewhere lovely but make sure it's for lunch so that you can enjoy the views. Just don't expect great food. The pizzas charged at $18 each, were the same size as pita bread and only slightly thicker, a slash of tomato sauce on top and minimal cheese (and I do like traditionally made pizza but this was just bad). Could make one better at home myself, using tomato sauce on Pita- would have been tastier. The salad was bland and the calamari was certainly nothing to write home about- just standard calamari. And I noticed that unless you were dressed to impress, the service was torrid. I'd done school drop off and decided last second to take mum for some lunch so was just wearing very casual clothes and we did not get a look at which I found really sad. The only time we were attended to was to take our order. That was it. Oh, and when we came to pay. Every person must be treated the same. The result? Disappointed as I was looking forward to having a function here based on the look of the place alone- but bad service and bad food have certainly taken that thought away. Hoping some new owners buy this place so I can go again. Please, somebody let me know when this happens. Such a shame!!
Dee
Poor service by staff. Food and venue are lovely however, don't expect a warm and fair service by staff. We took my brother out to welcome him back to Australia and his meal was lost and he received his meal well after we finished ours. Not fair that he missed out on lunch with us and the manager did nothing to make up for the inconvenience. Very arrogant staff :(

Function Feedback!. Hosted our Son's Christening on a Sunday in the Function Room downstairs. Fantastic venue for a small group, very intimate room, and great use of private garden (weather permitting) and rest of venue grounds, to keep the kiddies entertained.<br/><br/>Food was great, as per usual, although a little slow due to the venue being fully booked upstairs as well. Staff were great, and very apologetic for delays in service, and while it didn't excuse the delays, it was great to be updated until food finally arrived.<br/><br/>Overall, would highly recommend for your next small function.

Bellisimo. I felt like we had stepped into Tuscany.<br/><br/>The restaurant was so warm and inviting, the service was fantastic and the food was absolutely amazing. <br/><br/>The backdrop to this restaurant is something you find on a postcard. <br/><br/>We went at night for dinner and loved the atmosphere, I can't wait to go there on a warm Spring day, when the sun is out and we can have some wine and share platters with a group of friends, its the perfect environment for a Sunday get together. Can't speak highly enough of this place.
Trish
What a splendid setting for a restaurant what a gorgeous building tucked way behind suburbia , a real find this place!! The food was out of this world the slow cooked lamb had me closing my eyes reminiscing of good ol'fashion home cooked meal with flavours that can only be borne from authentic Italian kitchens . And the pavlova was without word - heaven sent! It was like eating little puffs of cloud( if that is at all possible). My eyes were closed for that experience too. Thank you Farm Vigano for an truly gastronomical experience
Yummy Mummy
A little slice of Italian countryside in the middle of the burbs. We had a fabulous experience at Farm Vigano from start to finish. Nestled in breathtaking surroundings, the restaurant has a wonderful ambiance, both stylish and welcoming with an outdoor terrace that would be so incredible for a Sunday lunch. We visited with my parents and two young sons (5 and 2) and we are very hard to please. The service was exemplary, our littlies (and the many others in the restaurant) were made to feel very welcome. We shared our entrees of sausages with cavallo Nero, porcini arrancini and marinated octopus. For mains we each had our ow n pizzas which were fantastic, crisp and slightly charred with sparse but quality toppings. If you are looking for an $8 thick pizza, this is not your place, but if you like the sound of a pizza bianca with capocollo then you will love it here! It really is the best suburban restaurant we have been to in a long time and we are planning our return very soon!

Amazing Engagement Party!. Ciao Farm Vigano!<br/><br/>We had our Engagement Party here with 180 people, lets just say wow what a night! Service was fantastic and extremely attentive, food was exceptional and the venue delivered above and beyond our expectations! All our guests have not stopped raving on about our special night! We would like to say a big thank you to Farm Vigano and all their staff for making our night so memorable!<br/><br/>Shannon & James

Love this place. Was there again saturday night- great atmosphere, beautiful views, waiters/waitresses were terrific and the food delicous as per usual, highly recommend farm vigano's..

A lovely day to lunch.. Our party of 15 enjoyed a lovely "early" Father's Day lunch. We had the sharing menu because of the size of our group and there was far too much food! We began with antipasto platters, the composition was fresh and varied. Followed by pizzas and 2 different types of salad. Pizzas were lovely, thin bases and no excess toppings. Needed to go for a little wander before dessert and enjoyed the lovely sunshine and views. Desserts eaten ranged from tiramisu, calzone with banana and strawberries (a big hit amongst the teens of the group), panna cotta, afffogato and cannoli. There was a lot of sharing and tasting amongst us with the tiramisu and calzone declared equal winners. The restaurant filled up on such a lovely day but this did not detract from the service. The wait staff were friendly, efficient and patient with our large group we could not fault them. Farm Vigano is a much needed haunt here.

One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The pizza's were almost cold when they arrived at our table and were terribly overpriced for what they are! $18 for a thin base with tomato sauce and a tiny bit of mozzarella cheese?? I finished it all to my self and was still hungry! And don't even get me started on the service. The waiters were either really slow and inexperienced, or completely rude and arrogant. One of the waitress's even had the nerve to ask me to hurry and finish up at my table because they had over booked! When i complained upon payment at the bar, the owner of the restaurant who I think was called Bart, barely listened to me and almost laughed at the fact I was complaining. Not only will I not be coming back, I will be telling everyone I know how unpleasant my dining experience was. I actually think the only good thing about Farm Vigano is the view of the scenery from the building, but i think i'd much rather just go for a bush walk; it costs less and you don't get treated like crap. 1/10

Nice location, but overpriced and bland. A barely-there pizza for $18 was not worth it, authentic or not! Won't go back.
LOIS
Wonderful restaurant, a hidden treasure in the suburbs. My Italian husband LOVED the pork sausage pizza and would have given it 12/10, but for the small size. For $18 this was overpriced. The roasted beetroot, pumpkin, feta and roasted flava beans was sensational. A very generous sized meal and reasonably priced at $18. The coffee was hot and delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. <br/>A brilliant place for lunch or dinner and you feel like you have 'left the business of life' behind you. Thoroughly recommend this delightful place.

Absolutely loved this place. Great starter, delicious pizzas, beautiful setting.

WOW WOW WOW. You have to go there yourself to be wowed. just amazing....
Baz
Not an Aussie Italian restaurant. More traditional Italian fare. Pizzas are gourmet and not worth $18. Generally expensive. Not my cup of tea would not go.back BUT not bagging it others would be ok with it.
Barbara Mullenger
Don't bother. Italian Restaurant without the 'traditional' Italian menu that you would expect - very BLAND menu indeed & overpriced - just a glorified pizza shop, you'd be better off going to the local pizza shop on Gorge Road. They claim the Italians do it simple with few ingredients - not wrong there, the Melazane pizza cut into 6 had 6 thin slices of eggplant, 6 small pieces of zucchini & wait for it - 6 pieces of dehydrated tomato - one of each vegie on each slice, sort of! It was tasty enough but please..... $18? Would not recommend this place for a meal - drop in for a coffee maybe as the grounds and location are okay. BRING ON THE PASTA if you want the clientele.
Rina
Nice lunch - we had heard mixed reviews about this place but am glad we judged for ourselves as it was great food and reasonable service. Pizza was nice but not the best I've had. Overall it was a positive experience and I would go back again.
Karen Smith
Karen. Had dinner here with a group of friends, the staff were lovely and the service was prompt however the menu was very limited for an Italian restaurant. Pizza menu cannot be altered to suit the customers tastes and no decent main meals on offer at all. Unfortunately we will not be going back or recommending this place to anyone.
Tony
We are locals and we were surprised to have such a place in our area, food was of good quality, but to our surprise pizza seemed to dominate the menu although there were small entree type meals available which were good, I would recommend them to have some authentic Italian meals added to the menu, such as some pastas and other meat dishes, they just may find this will bring in more of a crowd, for what we had, pizza, arrangini, beetroot goats cheese salad, sciachata it was very good
Not Happy
Rip off!. Stay away...the service and food was terrible..not to mention the price for a pizza...seriously if you want value for money do not go to this place it is daylight robbery.
Oscar
Don't bother. We came with our family to this place as it was close to home but the pizzas are not good at all we also had the lamb and that was so dry the staff were very rude and very slow also very over priced for what you get. It took the staff up to 10 mins to acknowledge us as we arrived and the night just got worse.<br/><br/><br/>Really disappointed was really hoping for a great local place to go with our family.
Christopher James
Mesmerising Location and Scenery. Upon arriving at this place you feels like you have come entered an exclusive country club with spectacular views and surroundings. Nestled in the south morang bushland this italian masterpiece allows you to escape suburbia and enter a decadent european setting. The pizza is wood over the beers are imported, the staff a great, just writing this review makes me want to go back and harness the escape that is farm vigano.<br/><br/>My Rating: 9/10

Exquisite, authentic Italian at its best!!. Well... let me just start by saying that I am very very fussy when it comes to food, especially food that is Italian. We (myself, mother & aunty) have just come back from Farm Vigano and i am IMPRESSED!!! I had such a wonderful night. The restaurant ambiance was superb! Warm, friendly, hospitable and classy. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the property itself is something wonderful to look at. This was enhanced by the beautiful, fresh and authentic Italian food. We tried & shared a few things on the menu... Arancini, Calamari, Chicken skewers, 2 kinds of Pizza's, Panna Cotta & Coffee. I can not fault ANYTHING! This is so so so rare for me & my family. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection and moreish!!! The food came out quickly... it was there before we knew it. And the wine selection was SUPERB!!! This all could have been destroyed by customer service... but it was completely the opposite. The waitress' that was looking after us (a middle aged lady with shorter hair) was incredible. So helpful & friendly. We had trouble deciding what we wanted and she took the time to give us suggestions and even have a chat with us. This we really like and how all restaurants should be! We will defiantly be back and HIGHLY recommend Farm Vigano to EVERYONE!!
Jeff
Elegant, quality. Lovely grounds, nice location, elegant service. We were served pizze alla salsiccia true to the tradition where the crust and the sauce are the centerpiece rather than hiding in shame. The thin crust was delightfully crispy, and the sauce subtle and delicious. The staff were almost chummy, stopping by our and other tables to have a chat.

Best Pizza....Ever. If you want to taste the best Pizza with quality ingredients, go to Farm Vigano. Don't bother going if you are expecting a slab of fatty toppings and a pizza base thicker than a King Size bed. This place is 100% quality with views to match. I have not had one bad Pizza from this place. I guarantee that once you go, you will be back again....Best Pizza.....Ever.

Authentic Italian family food with a high quality modern flair. A great place for a special occasion or a quick coffee and desert. A good variety of beer and wine for ever meal too.

First of all, the venue and atmosphere is perfect for a Sunday lunch or couple of drinks. Great veranda area over looking the hills. Food was fantastic, homemade Italian style - perfect with a couple of sneaky light reds. Overall, killer venue. Definitely a regular now. Can't believe it is in south morang.

Flawed Beauty. Just come from Farm Vigaro. Coffee sensational, food delicious, staff friendly and courteous, views to die for. However the cafe is incredibly noisy because of all the hard reflecting surfaces. Please, please get in an engineer to modify the noise as it detracts from your unique business. i will certainly go again but I will sit outside.

Didnt make it into the restaraunt as it was booked out. They offered us a seat outside but their were too many wasps....lol. Will try again next time. Beautiful property though.<br/><br/><br/>-----07 Apr, 2013-----<br/><br/>Il be dinning at Farm Vigano for lunch today. Im abit concerned about the bad reviews but really want to try it. See how we go.....

Awesome. What a revelation to find quality pizza at our door step in South Morang. Be warned, if you try you will never ever again have any of the rubbish at the other pizza places in the area. I have tried just about all the other trendy and quality pizzas in Melbourne and this is right up there and quite possibly the best! The best base, fresh and quality toppings in a wonderful atmosphere surrounded by beautiful views that make it hard to believe it is suburbia. One criticism though guys, we had to wait far too long from first to second round of pizza. I'll give you one more chance on that one but please take note of feedback! Highly recommended, give it a go!

A little piece of Italy 2. Firstly I will start out by saying that the food here is actually very good, whilst it is not an overly large menu they do use good fresh ingredients and the meals are very nice. Certainly not the cheapest but the area does not something like this. I have eaten here on three occasions now <br/><br/>The views are beautiful however the noise levels inside can be unbearable at times. Some advice for the owners a way to dampen sound in a room like that which can be challenging as you still want to capture that view, is soft furnishings. Tablecloths, some indoor plants maybe all of these things absorb sound and at seated ear level you would be surprised the difference these will make for your diners. <br/><br/>The service is ok, not great, not awful but just ok. Needs a lot of improvement and little things such as no EFTPOS, fees if I pay by credit card or a fee if I take money from the ATM on the premises, so essentially there is no way I can pay my bill without paying a fee unless I carry cash. In 2013 that is just archaic. Build the fees into your prices, customers hate fees full stop. I have been in business many years and little things like that can drive people away from something that has the potential to be amazing. You have something that could be amazing, seize that. <br/><br/>Lastly, It still fascinates me in all my years of dining out and owning my own businesses that owners/managers will write reviews about their own businesses. It is so transparent, the "Little Piece of Italy" review stands out like a sore thumb. Focus on your business and your customers will write amazing reviews for you. Step back, pretend you are a customer for a service, sit and eat a meal. You may be a little surprised.

Bad buzz. First thing I was told for my 6:00 dinner booking was " You need to be out buy 8pm as there is anonther booking straight after you"<br/>Well that killed the good vibe i had about the place.<br/>At 7:45pm the waitess asked "Would you like to order Dessert?"<br/>I dont think so i would need to eat it in my car!!!!!<br/>Definately not going back there again......

Not that good!. This restaurant has the potential to be fantastic, instead it is too noisy too expensive and service too slow. I first dined there on a Friday night and although the service was OK (we had the platter & all you can eat pizza & salad deal for $40 ph), I only realised later that they did not give us any salad. I returned there for lunch on the following Sunday with a much larger group of people. We had the same menu but the service was much, much slower. Whether is is done deliberately to make you purchase more drinks I don't know. but I suspect the staff is not geared up for large bookings. I certainly thought that $9 for a lemon/lime & bitters was a bit much. The place was totally booked out but then it also was on Friday night. It took 4 hours for 15 people to have antipasto platters and pizzas. As for the quality and authenticity of the food you need to eat at an italian nonna's house to get authentic. I can only speak for the pizzas which I thought were good but not enough topping and too much of the same. I also think it would do even better if it was BYO, after all they are making a killing on the food. To top it off there was a $40 charge on top of the bill for credit card payment. There are lots of better restaurants and I won't be rushing back.

A little piece of Italy. My husband and I are local to South Morang, but had not eaten at Farm Vigano - partly due to some of the bad reviews on Urban Spoon.<br/><br/>We decided to ignore the reviews and try it for ourselves tonight... and thank goodness we did! From the moment we entered the property, we realised that this place is something special. Seated on the patio, surrounded by citrus trees, smooth jazz playing in the background, warm evening breeze and setting sun... I could easily have been in Tuscany.<br/><br/>The menu and wine lists are authentically Italian. If you are hankering after a chicken parma washed down with a bottle of Yellowglen... then you have come to the wrong place! If, however, you fancy a real Italian pizza - fresh, crisp, quality toppings in the correct quantity for balance of flavour - accompanied by a glass of excellent wine (predominantly Italian, but with a couple of stand-out Australians too) then you will not be disappointed. <br/><br/>My husband and I ordered an antipasto platter to start. It was inexpensive at $28 with generous helpings of mortadella, salami, chargrilled veg, olives, cheese and a basket of warm bread. It could easily satisfy four people as a starter. We also shared a pizza for main, which was delicious with tomato, mozarella, gorgonzola, prociutto, rocket and artichoke.<br/><br/>The service was attentive and friendly, the drinks and meals served promptly, the atmosphere was romantic and relaxed, and with wine/coffee/entree and main the bill was less than $60! Honestly, I can't believe that the negative reviews could be about the same place....
Aj
Loved the service. The anti pasti were so fresh and tasted great. The pizzas were amazing! Fresh toppings with a chewy crunchy base

I personally like Farm Vigano.. I love their pizza's although believing they are heavily overpriced ,they taste amazing! <br/>Pizza's are simple but using great produce. <br/>I also agree with many of the reviews of the bad service. I have only come for lunch and during very very quiet times when there have only been maybe 3 other groups in the restaurant and have always waited 20 minutes for pizzas. <br/>So I could imagine how terrible it would be in the evening.<br/>The restaurant setup and surroundings itself are Beautiful although, with a bit of tweaking they could be perfect!
Jessica Rose
Was okay I guess... In the positives column we have the atmosphere, the views are great, the set up is nice and the decor is also quite beautiful.<br/><br/>Food was good besides the fact that I actually had to have a break from eating my pizza because my hands were hurting from how hard I had to use my knife and fork to cut into it. That pissed me off quite a bit. Also, when I correctly pronounced the Italian wine I was after the waitress had no clue in the world what I was talking about so I had to dumb it down for her. Disappointing when the restaurant is suppose to be Italian.
CafeLuva
Don't bother - meals are expensive and you get better service at Pizza Hut.. Having to wait 35 for drinks is ridiculous. Our table of 13 won't be back...

Amazing!!!. Well what can I say.... I was a little concerned after reading the reviews but can I just say "some people have very little understanding of the Italian dining experience and quality of food"! The quality of the product was exceptional not to mention the property itself....breathe taking. Life is about quality not quantity and this establishment is all quality. Food, wine, atmosphere, ambience, hustle and bussel. You have it all keep up the good work. The education processes is slow and sometimes painful but keep it up. Amazing

Terrible. My sister in law bragged about this place so she invited her family to celebrate her birthday there.......we chose the $40 pizza menu with antipasto and as much pizza as you like. Each pizza was supposed to be served with salad. It took over an hour to get the antipasto with minimal bread then the long wait for the pizza we finally receive 2 pizzas for 12 people and two salads. My brother in law was so embarrassed he complained so pizza came 4 @ the time by then hunger had passed. Guests very unhappy. True farm hospitality. Poor service food and attitude. Highly recommend that you dont go!

I love farm vigano! I have been quite a few times. The food is amazing! They specialise in authentic italian pizza with quality topping and a lovely thin base, the desserts are delisious and the tiramisu is by far the best i have had! Most of the staff are pleasant and friendly. However I have to ask.. How does that short haired middle aged waitress still have a job there? I have never come across anyone as rude as her, she lets the whole place down, I have friends that won't return because she has made them feel unwelcome.
Elena
Not very good. Wanted to check out Farm Vigano today with my Husband. We weren't impress at all.<br/><br/>They thought wee were coming for lunch, and offered us drinks first that's ok. They were very rushfull with us, a fake atmosphere, with fake staff and not very friendly. Coffe and tea with a panacotta and nutella pizza came to around $33.00. The portion of the Nutella pizza was small compared to other Italian places we've been around Carlton etc.<br/><br/>We wen't to go and pay with Eftpos, they didn't accept it!!! Either cash or Credit. Had to use there atm, which of course took a fee from us! The waitress said, the management don't want Eftpos.<br/><br/>They give me enough milk as well!! with my tea it was in a very tiny, you could say egg cup!!<br/><br/>Honestly The view is lovely, Don't bother though in wasting your hard earned cash!!

Visited today for the first time and had lunch. Best atmosphere I have experienced in a long time. Food was authentic, fresh and delicious. Service was great and wandering Italian minstrels made for an authentic Italian experience. Can't wait to go back there!
Angels
The staff especially the function co ordinatior very very aggorant. Don't bother going there as the pizza are average with minimum toppings. The scenery is lovely but overrated. Snakes everywhere!!! U can hear them amongst the bushes...

Nice Dining Experience!. We decided to go and have lunch at Farm Vigano with some friends. On arrival, you see these amazing views and as many other reviews mentioned...you feel like you are in Italy. Our waitress was very welcoming and knew her the menu very well. The food itself was very nice, we started off with the anitpasto platter, calamari, arancini balls( these were amazing even my 3 & 7yr old loved them) and the sausages - all were lovely. we then opted to try different pizza between us and yes they were very yummy too, however they took a long time to come out, I believe we would of waited a good 40 minutes, Thank goodness we had the kids pizza come out with the entrees.<br/>Then coffee and dessert took time as well. it is a little pricey but food is delicious but just be prepared to wait, especially if restaurant is full.

Amazing!. My first experience at Farm Vigano is one i'll surely never forget! As soon as you walk into the restaurant, a sense of warmth and friendliness is sensed. The restaurant is clean and tidy, very well mannered staff who are also extremely friendly. The food is fantastic! You wouldn't go to Farm Vigano for a parma with chips and salad. Instead, you go with your family, a date, and share a delicious family antipasto banquet, with other options for example seafood and slow cooked lamb if you wish. The pizza offered is traditional Italian style, with many different specialty options as for toppings. The deserts are luxurious and taste fantastic (I recommend the Panna Cotta!) The grounds are big and beautiful, after a lovely meal outside (or indoors) a nice walk around the scenic gardens is most enjoyable, with a tennis court and lots of safe space for the kids to run around and have fun! 10 out of 10, would definitely go back!

Just Pizza..... The worst and expensive pizza and please dont look at the kitchen Cus its a big joke! Dont waste your money and time!!

A lot of work to do. After many years of empty promises from various parties involved with Farm Vigano (Mint Inc, Friends of Farm Vigano, Guy Grossi, the O'Donnell family, etc), a restaurant finally opens at the old Vigano family home in South Morang.<br/><br/>The building itself is impressive (and restored very well) and has amazing views over gorgeous bushland. It's an old family home so the layout for restaurant seating is a little average, but it kind of works.<br/><br/>The staff are a real mixed bag. Most are young and inexperienced and whilst they're (hopefully) learning, there is a noticable lack of willingness to deal with customers. At the other end of the spectrum, one middle aged waitress is overly officious and fussy - her desire to explain everything to you as if you've never eaten out before is actually quite annoying.<br/><br/>The menu is the real disappointment, however. You can have pizza, pizza, or pizza OR if you're in a group of 4+ who are willing to eat the same thing, a choice of a banquet style larger shared meal. The pizzas are really nothing special - in fact, your local pizza shop will almost certainly do them better. As many other diners have pointed out, expect a long wait for your meals to be served too.<br/><br/>If you are prepared to pay for an expensive but ordinary pizza and to wait a long time for it whilst enjoying a nice view then perhaps this is the place for you.
Rob
Ordinary!!!. If you like La Porchetta then you may like the style of food, but if you are looking for quality food and wine then you are likely to be disappointed. We order sparkling wine which was flat, our pizzas were tasteless and topped with that much rocket they looked like salads. The calamari was rubbery and tasted like raw flour. The antipasto platter was dry and lacked appeal. Overall the food was presented without any love or care. So disappointed after hearing such great reviews. It is a shame as the establishment has a great location. Unfortunately, will not return.
Belliana
Absolutely amazing! Went there last weekend and had possibly the best meal ever. Food is to die for, service was personalised and friendly. Only tip is wear sensible shoes from the car park to the restaurant as there is a bit of an incline on gravel. Will definately be back.
Christine T
Terrible service, will not go again, we had the banquet and we waited 2 hours for our food, we got 6 arancini between the 12 of us and they were more like rice balls, the waitress had the nerve to ask us at 11.30 if we wanted more pizza, we had truly lost our appetite by then, ruined our night!!!!!!!!!
A Ketteridge
Magnificent views, lovely atmosphere but extremely noisy. Hard to talk over the noise of other diners- even at a table for two. Needs to have more variety eg you can't have pasta unless you order an expensive share platter for 2-4 people. Worth a visit but I will be waiting a few more months before I return to see if the menu choices and noise levels have improved.

Frequent diner!. This is far and away a gem of find for us burbanites; what a location! Food is good, staff friendly and restaurant bright and clean. <br/>Recently we were there on a Friday night and we could barely hear the person across our table over all the noise, the restaurant was choc-a-bloc and boy does that place echo! Nevertheless, would definitely recommend.
Simone
Beautiful surrounds, poor service. I was recommend to check out this cafe/restaurant by a friend who raved about the location, views and heritage building. It was stunning and aww strucking when you realise this place has existed without anyone really knowing. But the moment you sit down, the service is poor. I read reviews warning me about prices and wait times and thought it couldnt be that bad, I was there on a HOT day so only had a coffee and gelato and my friend a nutella calzone. We drank our coffees and waited 45 minutes before we had to ask the waitress to check on our desserts. Ridiculous and overpriced, not even great coffee. Food looks nice and my friend said her calzone was nice, but be prepared to wait for what you order and pay big bucks. I wont return.

Seriously a disgrace. I was so happy to be going there and totally let down. Service poor food taste is fine. Took 1 hr for one antipasto and they served us 4 pizzas in 2 hours (8 ppl). At 40 dollars a head it is probably the worst pound for pound meal I have ever eaten
Peter
Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! Pizza a.... Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!<br/>Pizza are awsome, staff are awsome, food is quick and satisfying, great interior design and beautiful gardens, we come here twice a week and have never been let down :) Farm Vigano rocks! Only 1 bad thing, a midlle age black short hair worker , with very nasty long nails , little bit rude, but apart of that, i will be back with the family :)<br/><br/><br/>-----12 Nov, 2012-----<br/><br/>The best view and italian food on the area, you have to try!!! I see you again farm vigano
David
We went on a sunday afternoon and it was good food but if you've planning to go there, eat before you go as you will be waiting a while for your meal. Service is very poor, we waited over 1 and a half hours for our entree and over 2 hours for our main meal.
Lauren
With beautiful views and delicious food, Farm Vigano has bought a little piece of Italy to the suburbs. The amazing pizza from the team behind Elounge (Abbotsford) along with local and imported wines and a beautiful view over the South Morang gorge make Farm Vigano the perfect place to relax for a leisurely lunch or dinner and with the nights warming up there's no place like it just a short drive from the city. Also a beautiful venue for weddings and functions, the historical building is just perfect for any occasion. We loved our dinner and the service and will definitely be returning again!

E-lounge and Zonzo's has come to South Morang!! This is very exciting for me as I have just moved to the area and now I have this amazing restaurant on my doorstep - without having to drive to Richmond or the Yarra Valley. The food is sensational, make sure you try the antipasto plate; it gives your tastebuds a piece of fresh and well seasoned produce that is cooked perfectly. The view is spectacular and parking accessible. The service is average but remember the team are still finding their feet and I'm sure we can expect great things from them in the near future. Not the best choice if you are after a quiet evening as the place gets quite loud when its busy. All in all, Farm Vigano will definitely see me again!
Maria
Italian Suprise. We had a lovely fulfiling lunch at Farm Vigano. <br/>You cant go wrong with good traditional Italian food, great wine and an amazing view! <br/>We are looking forward to many summer time lunches on the terrace.

Rude service. I have never written an review for a restaurant/cafe before but my experience at Farm Vigano pushed me to write one. I went here for a small birthday gathering and was astounded by the rude service given by the waiting staff (mainly the middle-aged female waitress) This made the entire group feel unwelcome and almost ruined the entire evening. We decided to leave after we asked for the desert menu the waitress brought the Bill. This is a such lovely looking restaurant, its a shame the staff weren't able to create a better atmosphere. <br/>Even though we had a horrid time I think we will attempt a second visit for a sunny brunch. The atmosphere on the deck might be a bit better (hopefully the sunshine will improve the staff service) the man behind the register was friendly. I would not suggest going here for a special event however.

Farm Vigano a go go. Wow - what a boon for the South Morang area. My partner and I drove out from the city to visit this quaint little farmhouse. Food is authentic, light with clean and simple flavours. <br/><br/>It is not uber formal, it is warm and rustic and relaxed.<br/><br/>I can see this new venue going from strength to strength and was imagining myself having my wedding reception there - the view is amazing from the terrace. <br/><br/>Ask the owner David anything about the history of the farm and he can tell you everything (and probably will..!) A tall dark and handsome Italian man (albeit a little tired looking) - I couldn't help but notice.... no wedding ring ladies!!!<br/><br/>Great place for a function or a romantic dinner with your other half. We will be going back with the family for a weekend lunch.<br/><br/>Highlights - semolina pizza base - thin and crunchy! Slow cooked lamb to share - so tender! Antipasto platter - so simple but so enjoyable!<br/><br/>Next time I will try the ravioli to share.

We had a lovely Saturday lunch at Farm Vigano yesterday. Service was a little ordinary ( took way too long to clear the table, server didn't know the menu very well and we were left to handle a spill ourselves), but the food was excellent. Definitely recommend the sharing platter of slow roasted lamb with a side of fennel and orange salad. The desserts were awesome too. Unfortunately the coffee was only ordinary.
Richard
Food review. We went on Friday night the service was great the overall communication re the Menu from the waiter was great <br/>Its always about the overall Knowledge and the food this does test the Waiter not tonight She knew all about the types of food and kept checking on what we thought <br/>The food was Quick and prefect and the follow up by staff great <br/>Go for yourself and try the food and service <br/>We will be going again to see the view in the day time

Hidden gem. Food is very authentic and delicious. Great ambience and scenery is beautiful. Only negative ( it's a big one) is the customer service. The staff (in particular the middle aged male) is very abrupt and frankly quite rude. I would reccomend this place to anyone but unfortunatly the service really let's it down. I hope this improves because like I said it is a great place.

Brilliant views and brilliant food

So go for the food, go for the views - but when you're paying decent prices for a pizza just hope you get waited on.
