Coco’s, I’ve dined at this fabulous restaurant over the years and have never left feeling unhappy. A place to excite in every way and what a beautiful view, we couldn’t ask fir more.
My friends & self dived there tonight and my choice was the traditional Louisiana Gumbo which got top marks for flavour however where was the rice? I had to ask for bread to absorb the delicious grave l, this dish comes with rice, potatoes salad or French bread.l
Super food , very friendly staff excellent choice of wine & champagne
Situated on the river bank with magnificent view over the city, river & Kings Park
Alfresco sitting and inside as well, white table and casual high chair sitting
Serves meat, seafood, super salads and more.
We celebrated Mumsy’s 78th b’day at Coco’s and were impressed by the service, food and efficiency. We were thankful that our meals came out promptly as our 7 and 9 year old were trying their best to remain still and patient in such a “fancy”place.
The young blonde waiter was attentive, helpful and smiley. Food was delicious, well presented and tasty.. the salmon sashimi was fresh and presented to perfection. Perhaps the rib eye steak which retails at $67 although succulent should have been accompanied by a side ( rather than needing to order the fries separately)
The ice creams served with fairy floss was a huge hit with the young ones. A memorable and beautiful night. Well done to the staff at Coco’s.

Wow oh wow, seriously... Where do I begin? From the streets of Mumbai, to the canals of Bombay, and now to the riverside of Perth. This gift from Ganesh is a blessing for me and my family. Annually we have lovely mouth melting dishes from CoCo's and we absolutely love it! However, I am ashamed to say that I would love to see more Indian food on the menu as India unfortunately did not make the World Cup even though we have 1+ billion people. OVERALL great food, but please please please, put more Indian dishes on the menu!
Thank you,
With Love, from Bombay
My family and I went to Cocos for a special occasion. It was an amazing night. The food, service and view were all spectacular. We will definitely be back!
Not a bad experience for a Sunday lunch. Great crispy skin Tasmanian salmon. Pleasant and courteous staff. A few pointers required though to 'up' the professionalism one would expect at a Perth view showcase restaurant. 1 - Waiting staff didn't place the cloth napkin on our laps. I've never had to place a 'cloth' napkin on my own lap after sitting down, 2 - After the diner who 'tests' the wine finishes, don't fill it to the top, instead pour his fellow guests' glasses before returning, 3 - Chop the pear in the Wild Rocket & Pear salad finer. Too coarsely cut. Overall better than I was led to expect by fellow diners around Perth.
Very nice food and excellent service. I had the linguine which was really tasty, as well as the Turkish bread with dips; not sure what the dips were, but they were delicious! Could not fault the taste of the food, but I do think the prices are quite steep for what is quite simple cuisine. If you have the Entertainment Book however, it is certainly worth it.
What to say to add to the copious reviews of this South Perth Institution. Coco's always lives up to the hype, well run both bar and kitchen, great views, food presented is always of a high standard, both in construction and the quality of produce. I ordered the Fish Pie (one of the specials), its was always going to be either horrific or sensational. Luckily perfectly poached white fish fillets in a unassuming and hence not overpowering white roux, encased in a puff pastry top, outstanding. Chef was kind enough to garnish the remainder of the pie to take home, as it was quite large. One of the best dishes of 2017 so far.
I took a friend (who was visiting from Queensland) here for lunch to show off our beautiful city.
We sat outside and I must admit the view was exceptional (my friend was impressed). Service took a little longer than we anticipated as we were both very hungry but the staff were friendly.
Food wise, ordered the ravioli which was tasty and filling despite being a small portion. Price is around 30 pp (probably more for a dinner or 3 course meal).
Everything about this place is class, the location, the ambiance, the quality & plating of food just screams that there are owners & staff that care about this fine dining restaurant. Great friendly management & a team that delivered. Our meal was unforgettable & the oysters served were exceptionally fresh. My negroni was spot on & dessert introduced us to a liking of dark chocolate with sour cherry.
Thankyou for your hospitality our evening was thoroughly enjoyed.
“Whats not to like......”
Fabulous views, coupled with a kitchen that has an astounding consistency (I have been going for 20 years) in producing a quality product. I have heard people say its an expensive restaurant, but I prefer to judge on value for money, to which CoCo's delivers.

I love Coco's.
Fine dining at its finest. Our party of 5 indulged in some brilliant beer, wine, entrees and mains. And a magnificent desert.
$890 including endless drinks.
I had some delicious Salt and Pepper squid. A couple of Oysters, kilpatrick, got the party started. Fellow diners had steamed prawns.
The sashimi was amazing. My first time trying it too. Huge fan now.
For mains I went for the steak. Medium well. It arrived well done but due to the fine cut of meat, it melted in my mouth.
Accompanied by a lovely Cesar salad and the creamiest mash potato. An absolutely lovely main course.
Desert was the apparently famous Sticky Date & Macadamia Bombe Alaska. Just amazing. That butterscotch sauce. I could drink it daily haha.
Lovely atmosphere. Great service. Amazing views of Perth city.

Fine dining and tasty experience! Although expensive, the flavor combinations in particular of the beef risotto and crunchy but soft pork belly were heaven in my mouth. Also great for an afternoon drink, the restaurant with a brilliant view welcomes groups of friends in an upbeat, exciting atmosphere. Well done Coco's a compliment to South Perth.
Amazing night views. Service was average.
Turkish bread not bad.
Kids meal was tasty, but a bit pricey.
Steak cooked very well with peppercorn sauce, .......complimentary to the chef.
Beef cheek rissoto was good, beef cheek very tender.
Barra was delicious.
Great views really like the location of this place, staff were friendly but not over attentive to our table. As this place is pitched as upmarket I think it could be better then what we experienced, food was ok but not outstanding the atmosphere made up for it
Excellent lunch out on Coco's balcony with beautiful views of the swan river & Perth City. The friendly staff were attentive but not over-bearing. Couldn't decide on Starters so we chose 3 to share. For Mains we had the double cooked duck & sirloin with recommended garlic sauce, which was the best. Surprised on the generous servings. Very pleased that my request for medium-rare was cooked to perfection. The highlight was the dessert "Bombe Alaska" truly amazing!

Came for lunch on a winter's day without a booking and got the table we had asked for on the edge of the balcony. Service was impeccable, waitresses were amazing and how they memorise the daily specials without a sheet was mind blowing. Meals were cooked to perfection, tasted great and the sizes of the meals were ample. The oysters were nice and fresh and the carpaccio was the best I have had in Perth. The Muscovy Duck melted in your mouth falling of the bone with ease and we finished with the Bombe Alaska yummo! The Menu is great with a huge selection of wines, combined with the setting of the foreshore it was amazing to look out across with a wonderful lunch. We will be back here again without a doubt!
We enjoyed a sunny winters day on the CoCo's balcony with our stunning view of Perth City.
Our lunch was just beautiful we decided to have 4 courses and share each course starting with an entree of Beef Carpaccio, absolute melt on your mouth deliciousness!!
Then the Seafood Linguine all I can say more more more please! The pasta was cooked to perfection and the fresh prawns, scallops and clams in a delicate cream chilli sauce.
For our main we had the Rib Eye which was cooked to perfection and exactly how we ordered it. The char grill flavour and the quality of the steak was simply amazing. We had a side of the Truffle Mash and a Pear and Rocket Salad which was a perfect accompaniment.
We finished our lunch with the Bombed Alaska which didn't disappoint a perfect balance of sweetness and salty in the caramel all I can say is yum yum yum!
It was so good we ate the lot!
I was looking forward to having dinner here as I had heard great reviews. But unfortunately I was left disappointed with the outcome.
Lovely venue, location and staff were fantastic.
Food was good but not outstanding.
Nice meal but not great
Pre reading the reviews i headed along to Coco's expected a train smash but perhaps things have moved on a little in the last few months. As of today in brief:
Decor - updated, new furniture, comfortable seats and nice ambience
Service - average. It was not busy (Monday late lunch) and although honest enough under load I would expect the staff may crack
Food - all dishes enjoyed by all. Desserts in particular were excellent with bold flavours and thoughtful layers and textures
Price - definitely on the heavy side. Value a little short to meet the plate price
View - glorious. One of the best on offer anywhere; period
Overall - sadly or not I remember this place opening. Looks to me like it has had a reboot recently. Price is premium but there is a lot to like, albeit the service is a risk. Time your visit perhaps. There is a $25 lunch menu option that may suit as a tester. The aspect of the city alone is worth that investment.
Amazing views and beautiful seafood! This place has a lovely relaxed vibe and huge wine list. Every dish was perfectly cooked. Decent size portions as well. Wait staff were very attentive and friendly. A few more choices of cider would be nice.
Great food, atmosphere and views. A lot of negative reviews yet I have only had positive experiences. The fact that the place is constantly full and has been for a number of decades says something. For me the food is spot on.
Beautiful venue, lovely food with a good classical menu, attentive service with a lovely ambiance for a special dinner.
Prices more than average however the food is of a higher standard.
Dress code is a little more dressy than the average restaurant however not evening gown!
I would definitely recommend this establishment to be tried.
Steak is around $50 with sides extra. Cocktails around $18. Great meal, service was good, not great and didnt warrant a tip. I always tip very good service. Surrounds lovely, presentation very good. I would have rated higher had the service equaled the food. Still worth going there we talked about the meal two days later!
Fantastic, regular lunches over the past decade with some associates from WA. A fantastic view, friendly silver service staff and an extensive menu. Hard to keep on top of the wine list too.
To be honest I was a little hesitant to book here because of some of the negative things i'd heard about Coco's restaurant but I'm so glad I checked it out for myself! All the staff were excellent particularly the lady that served our table. She was really friendly and helpful and made our lunch a pleasant experience!
For mains I ordered the beef cheeks with the wild mushroom risotto and it was beautiful! Every mouthful was full of different flavours and the serving was very generous. I then ordered dessert which HAD to be the sticky date bombe Alaska and my god I was heaven! You crack open the meringue on top of the sticky date pudding and inside is homemade ice cream and it's all bought together with a salted caramel sauce.
Like I said I'm glad I booked and I think you will be too!
Best steak, great view and good service.........…......................................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful view. Chicken dish was amazing and enjoyed the sides available. Great selection of reasonable priced wine considering it is fine dining. Found the meat platter extremely disappointing and overpriced, I wish the waitress had informed that it was raw.. The seafood platter was also disappointing and overpriced considering the selection of seafood, you would think it would have perhaps couple of oysters or at least fish for variety, wouldn't recommend it as a main as the waitress did. The service was complementary though!
Cocos is the kind of place that is as formal or as casual as you like. A mix of suits, jeans, dresses and trackie pants.
The set up is nice, the staff attentive, and the food always great.
I strongly suggest you try the oysters, and also the bomba alaska for desert!
Always a good venue for a view and consistent good food. Lunches on a Friday are always entertaining but any night in summer is a night to enjoy
Coco's is a true gem. One of the places I come frequently, I love the food here and can't wait to go back. If you also go during summer or on a night where it's not too cold and get a chance to sit outside, the view is amazing. The atmosphere and service can also only be praised. Can't recommend this place enough.
This will always be a fave for me. I love the controversial Friday sessions and I love that the menu doesn't change even if perhaps it could???! These chefs can cook.
Been wanting to try this place out for ages and finally took my wife to dine in for Valentine's Day. You will be greeted by their friendly staff member with a smile which makes you welcome. They make sure that you have been looked after as soon as you sit down. Upon looking into their menu, few selections of appetizing meals available but it seems that their drinks selection has more pages than their meal, I guess they are known for their drink selections. So we took a meal to share as our entree and mains for each of us. Didn't want to order more or any side, just afraid we would order too much as we decided to order desserts after our meal. It was a bit of a wait but it's understandable as it was a busy night. Our meal came and did not disappoint. Portions are just good enough for us. Fresh ingredients are used and tasty as well, cooked to perfection. Our dessert came with a guide from the waitress on how we should enjoy the dessert which was very helpful. Not many places do this. So I would suggest dine here if you can either have lunch or dinner and have a few drinks while you are here but please do reservation as this place does get busy. They are open for 7 days!
If you want to spoil yourself or someone else then Cocos will not disappoint. With stunning views of the Swan River along with excellent service and fine dining experience any occasion spent at Cocos will be one to remember. Offer an extensive variety of wines perfect for a night out for those more refined taste
They are well located adjacent to the Swan River with a view of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful and our meals arrived quickly after placing our order.
All staff were wearing face masks and hand sanitizer was well located.
We were so lucky to be squeezed in. For lunch crowd, the place was packed. The staff are super friendly and welcoming.
Portions are a tad bit tiny, so order side dishes. I enjoyed my meal and would definitely come again. You may have to RSVP to avoid disappointment.
Amazing service, fantastic view and best restaurant food I've tasted. Definitely worth the value and great place to go
Been here several times and always a great ambience. Food portions are quite small but good quality, l always add sides 😊. Views seal the evening as a good one.
