I’d say it’s probably the best French cuisine I’ve ever had in Melbourne. Every single dish I had was simply amazing and I was so stuffed that night. The most delicious one is mussel.
A treat to enjoy some French flavours at this restaurant. Not high end formal dining so you can chill to very good quisine & service without the stuffiness! Every dish was delicious & service was friendly & professional. Highly recommend! (Missed taking pics of our entres & desserts)
A friend highly recommended Chez Olivier and I have to say they did not disappoint. The food was great, the service whilst they seemed a bit overwhelmed the night we were there was really good too. I believe that the chef is French because it is one of the few restaurants in Melbourne where the food actually tates Like French food - no spicy food here! 😜

Service was great, ambiance was ok too. The steaks and the sauce although looked very good could be much better. I ordered medium rare and all around the cut was burnt to a charcoal which for a $40-50 dish is not ok. The desert looked really good and tasted ok.
Staff were good but they got a bit too busy and everyone seemed to be confused (e.g. we just ordered then a different waitress came around and asked what we want 😅).
Overall, food were excellent! As everyone knows, French food is quite heavy so just be cautious that you can get really full easily.
