These guys do an incredible Reuben sandwich with your choice of cheddar or vegan cheese, I haven’t had anything else like it anywhere. Highly recommended for vegetarians! Keep up the good work guys!

I’m honestly going to go as far to say that the Clean Green smoothie is the best smoothie I’ve found in Melbourne. It’s the perfect combo of greenness (with kale and spinach) and peanut butter goodness for when you feel like you need green vegetables but also want that satisfying smoothie feeling that leaves you full. All of the other food here is amazing too, especially the banana bread (I know, how amazing and different can banana bread really be?) but trust me, it’ll impress you! Definitely check this place out. It’s way more authentic and a million times tastier than it’s competitors.

Smoothie was bland and slow rude service. Great for instagram photos, not for taste. Wouldn’t go back.

Holidays are fun but I often come back feeling 10kg heavier and in desperate need of some clean eating. A quick search led me to Little Green on Chapel, a vegan and vegetarian cafe serving healthy and delicious food. The friendly service makes it a very welcoming and relaxed spot indeed.

I opted for the Snickers smoothie bowl With a smooth and sufficiently creamy consistency, I was ecstatic to find a generous amount of peanut butter lining the bottom of the bowl. The crunchy chocolate granola not only added texture but also a nutty and bittersweet flavour to the bowl. Overall good flavours, and deceivingly small yet very filling.

My partner had the Korean Duck Bowl and this was also a filling and nutritious dish. The brown rice was cooked to a perfect consistency, and the piquant flavours of the kimchi went really well with the sweet and smoky flavour of the vegan BBQ duck. Top it all of with gochujang mayo, and you have a dish with flavours that jump out at you.

The salted caramel smoothie was a bit similar to taste with the Snickers smoothie bowl, except that the smoothie had a more prominent flavour from the maple syrup and dates. Thick and dreamy, this had the bowl beaten in terms of consistency.

There's a small selection of sweet treats and ready made meals in addition to the compact menu that they have on offered, and also other healthy snacks too. Not much seating inside nor outside, but it seems that most are after takeaways anyway so a spot should be guaranteed.

🍓 acai bowl
🏚: Little Green
📍: South Yarra, Melbourne
.
————————————————————
.
📝: Last day in Melbourne before heading home to Bangkok. Going to miss all the brunches and acai here, so I’m posting my last bowl of acai here before my flight.

Health vegan and vegetarian home-made food for the soul on Chapel Street South Yarra. Cheap eats, healthy, low fat and local bowls that is refreshing and delicious.
.
❤️: Well, what else would I opt for if not for the Acai Bowl. A blend of acai and banana, topped with chocolate granola and fresh fruits.

Though the bowl’s pretty simple, but it was so good! And I mean, chocolate granola?! Could it get any better?

The only thing I would comment on is the portion. Would be much better if they had a larger portion than this little cute cup.

Nicely furnished green little vegan/vegetarian cafe.
Small reasonably priced menu on wall with enticing options of food and drinks.
Limited indoor seating plus more outdoor seating.
Definitely a little green gem on chapel street.

This cute little venue opened their doors not that long ago and is a little hidden paradise.

It is located on one of the main roads of South Yarra and very accessible to everyone. You cannot just pass by without being tempted to walk in. The space inside isn’t very big but enough to have for the usual takeaway clients and a few people having some quick bites on the bench close to the window and they have a small but cute outdoor area with some extra seating. Everything combined makes the place very welcoming and cosy.

The options they offer are quite good too. As a healthy based cafe, There are salads, wraps, and their highlight are definitely the jaffles, smoothies and juices. I tried the acai bowl, beautifully presented but I wouldn’t say it was much different or that anything stood out in particular from the ‘average’ acai bowl that you can find in other places. I have to add that their focus isn’t particularly on smoothie bowls (they only have an acai and a macca bowl) so I think it’s fair enough not to expect more than that, and regardless of that, it was a good tasting bowl - not watery, good consistency and normal portion size.

However, the salted caramel smoothie that I had was a complete game changer.

Obviously that I may change my opinion in the future (because #smoothiehunter) but this was THE best salted caramel taste I have had in my life - not too too sweet and with a touch of cinnamon that makes you feel like you are even drinking something similar to liquid chocolate peanut butter (even though there is no peanut butter inside!). The portion was on the spot and it’s perfectly filling 👌

They have some snacks for purchase from health brands and the team is lovely and welcoming. I can tell they enjoy providing good service and making people happy in their little venue. I wish the space would be bigger because I’m pretty sure it must get busy during lunch time (my visit was around 10am and there were people constantly coming in and out which shows how popular they are!)

Just writing about that salted caramel makes me want to go back right now - trust me, you will too.

My rating is totally for their smoothies since smoothies were what they started with and what I ordered again and again. Note that the iced coffee smoothies doesn't "taste coffee"(hope it does) , but this doesn't stop it from being my favorite.

Been here twice now, first time for food and the second for a smoothie. The falafel bowl I had the first time was good, but definitely needed more dressing. Luckily they were happy to oblige when I headed back to the counter to ask. The second time I had a salted caramel smoothie, and this is really where Little Green shone. Holy moly, what an explosion of awesome! Dates, banana, almond milk and who knows what else has kept me feeling happy all day. Absolutely loved it. My new favourite treat place. Thanks! Blows the terrible Green Cup down the road out of the water for sure. One thing for improvement would be to have an umbrella out the front. With an east-facing shop front, steamy summer mornings are a little too hot.

Little Green is a small space, Vegan and GF friendly. We had the chilli and the felafel, Both presented well in bowls, generous serves and considering the imagined vegan constraints, were full of flavour and good value. A solid lunch recommendation!

Delicious vegan and vegetarian food. Pesto toastie is amazing (I had mine without the onion - FODMAP friendly). The green bowl was very filling. Also great almond milk coffee!

Little Green on Chapel is the new kid on the block, at the top end of Chapel. Everything is super fresh and   great value.

The owner Katherine Sampson has been in food for decades and proudly supports local producers, farmers and manufacturers. The cafe epitomises Clean and Green with wellness bowls and healthy slices, fresh juices and smoothies, specialty coffees and teas.

Little Green on Chapel is primarily a takeaway, but there is seating inside or out the front. The staff  were very friendly and could help with information on all the dishes on offer.

I went for the Middle Eastern Goodness Bowl with falafels/tamia, quinoa tabouli, grated beetroot and carrot, cucumber tomato onion salsa, vegetables and tahini, it was so tasty! This was washed down with a Green Burst – the combination of broccoli, apple, celery, cucumber and grapes. I initially wasn’t sure that the broccoli was going to work but was reassured by staff and was glad I ordered it. The flavour was delicious!

The Bircher Bowl for dessert was a treat made of overnight oats, berries, banana, chia with their own spin including peanut butter and chia. Ours was also topped with fresh apple and berries.

Little Green on Chapel also sells a few knick knacks for personal use or gifts including "Thug Kitchen" a  cookery book for the seriously healthy minded as well as peanut butter, scented candles and reusable shopping bags in arty designs. There's even activated charcoal toothpaste in spearmint and peppermint and a range of lip balms.

The Cafe is open 7am – 3pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday. Perfect for the hungry or just peckish. Give it a try if you're in the area.

This place is so cute! Love the fact that it feels like a little store with all kinds of stuff and not just the standard coffee, food and snacks. Vego and Vegan focus is paramount here, with amazing bowls, jaffles and healthy shakes and snacks. I gave the pesto, cheese and tomato toastie a go and definitely didn’t regret it. The Mediterranean bowl was also packed with flavour and was big enough to keep you going for hours. Super keen to go back and try one of their shakes as well as another jaffle!
Highly recommend you make your way down here and give their menu a crack!

One of my favourite cafes! The staff are super friendly and the coffee is always made to perfection. I love that I can never accidently be served a coffee with cows milk as they only offer the best of plantbased mylks. The green smoothie is super delicious (especially when Nina makes it) and the home made treats are a delight!

I walked a fair way out of my way to try Little Green today and I was rewarded. The Mexican bowl was delicious, just spicy 🌶 enough and perfectly cook and seasoned. Even the vegan cream was yum, which surprised me. I will happily return in the near future.

One of the best vegan cafes in Melbourne! There variety is a vegan's heaven. I tried a vegan croissant for the first time yesterday and it tasted better than a normal croissant. The pies and sausage rolls are fresh and tasty. The toasted sandwiches are also super delicious with unique- toppings you rarely see in other cafes. My favourite hot meal is the vegan mac and cheese bursting with flavour and creamy! This cafe is my fav and there coffee is also top quality. There food, coffee and customer service never disappoints! Huge fan! You must pop in if they're within 5km. Thank you Little Green!

Best coffee in the Forrest Hill/Como precinct. It is always hot and reliably strong. Aside from the excellent coffee and service (great staff!), Little Green offers high quality, fresh and delicious vegan and vegetarian options to please any taste. $10 takeaway meals are great; especially love the pies (flavours on rotation) and sandwich combos for a veggo take on meaty classic sandwiches.
