Heading to Prahran market to get some much needed supplies, I walked past Jasper Coffee and decided to grab a quick takeaway while shopping. It's a small section of the market with no place to sit, so essentially is really only good for takeaway.
There is a small choice of biscuits and pastries to take away, but not the array of divine cakes that they have at other stores. However you can buy coffee beans and paraphernalia to take home.
The coffee itself was pretty good and service was quick and came with a friendly smile. There is only a few coffee choices at the market, and Jasper is a pretty good one.
Good coffee - hence why it is a popular spot within the market. I do love the open display of the various beans which makes the space a conversation starter if you're showing guests around however it isn't a space to sit down and catch up over coffee. For this I think people will flock over to Market Lane (heaps of seats/less market traffic) however as this place has almond milk I will be forever in favour.
Great strong coffee, friendly folks, helpful store and a
Much better feel than the other coffee places around here. Our favourite in Melbourne.
Slither of a coffee roaster in Prahran markets, it's constantly busy but service is efficient and friendly. Recommended for take away coffee/ biscuits/ cakes.

You can say I was happy and disappointed at the same time. For a coffee roaster I was expecting so much more. Although the coffee wasn't bad it didn't do much to announce itself as an artisan or coffee roasting
Basically all I got was another coffee shop that served up good coffee
The happy part is to do with their selection of donuts 😊
Picked up a bag of Jaspers freshly ground 'Ethiopia Djimma' coffee. One of the staff there was really helpful and knew her stuff and recommended me a choice of three beans to chose from. If you like dark chocolate and rich aromatic mocha's, the Ethiopia Djimma is the way to go.
Busy coffee vendor in the heart of Prahran Market. Stocks delicious donuts from doughnut boys (yum) - the peanut butter one was good but service was a bit slow.
Really good coffee, nice and strong made fast so quick for a takeaway. Â Will be my go to for coffee while wandering the market. Â Yum........
Amped-up strong coffee. Now that I've got my home espresso machine back from the repair shop, I don't have an excuse to indulge in professionally made coffees any more. Except when I got out to buy new bags of beans. It's only fair that I sample what baristas can extract from those nuggets of caffeiney goodness, eh? So I tried a flat white from this Jasper while picking up a quarter-kilo of dark roast whole beans. Jasper makes it strong, that's for sure, and that's how I like it. It wasn't mellow or chocolatey or nutty -- this flat white had bite, like diesel oil, only in a good way. I'm not sure if every featured batch of coffee, and every baristo there, gives the same results. This was a "rowrrrr" cuppa, though. I hope I can get the same results from the bag 'o beans I bought.
Good coffee, much less pretentious than the market cafe
Jasper is a famous brand of coffee in Australia and they have been operating for twenty years.
