The barista takes more than 10 minutes to make me a cup of coffee!? there were just me and another customer, the barista just keep talking with this customer, I almost missed my train to work. Just tooooo slow to make a coffee, very disappointed! 😤😤😤

The staff are lovely, the food has always been great - but in my opinion and the opinion of a few friends, the coffee has a horrible after taste. I’ve never had a coffee from there without the horrible taste to it, so I’ve started going somewhere else for coffee. It tastes like mould. However, it isn’t mould - It must just be the type of coffee bean they use, because I’ve tasted it at one other cafe in the area as well. It’s really strong and really bad. But again, food is great, and staff are always welcoming and friendly.

My favourite place to stop in before, during, and after uni. Great little spot to chill with friends and have a coffee before class. Simon is wonderful and I've never heard him forget someone's name. The food is delicious and always fresh.

Wow - totally impressed with this venue from the appearance to service through to food offerings and coffee. I will be back! I enjoyed the pork roll with coleslaw in the home-baked baguette - yum! Toby's coffee an added bliss too! Another top quality venue for Southport - Well done Simon and Staff!

Located at the base of the tafe, this cafe is in a great location central to all things in Southport. <br/><br/>Lots of fresh meal and snack items in the window display and you can see that they’re making it fresh. All are at a reasonable price. <br/><br/>Simple Coffee House offer two blends of coffee, which you don’t always see. <br/>The coffee was great and I would definitely come back here if I was in the area. <br/><br/>The guy who owns the cafe was behind the counter and making the coffees. Really nice and friendly. Well done!

I LOVE this coffee shop. <br/>Since moving back to Brisbane I haven't been able to find any good coffee in my area. Sad story. <br/>In so happy I got to come back here today and have a real coffee! Been dreaming about it!!! The portion sizes are amazingly generous. The muffins are fresh and delicious. The sitting area is nice and chill. The people are friendly and they make an effort to know the people that come in :)

Having tried the coffee here (long black) on a few occasions, it is consistently good and one of my top three in this area of Southport. Coffee appearance is good leading to a rich flavour with hints of citrus. Finish on the palate is smooth and constant to the last drop. A range of rolls and wraps as well as sweeter slices and cakes available. Friendly and attentive service and seating on two levels inside venue.

My new favourite spot. The roast chicken and mushroom soup is amazing and you can't beat their spinach and ricotta rolls. Their coffee is to die for. I would say that it is up there with the Melbourne cafes.
