Review Crazy Fish Sushi Bar - Southport

This was one of the best sushi experiences I've ever had. I don't want to spoil all the lovely surprises. All I can say is make an order, show up, and enjoy the ride. My husband and I cannot wait to come back. Worth every penny and then some!

One of the best fresh, delicious tasting sushi I have ever had. I will come back again. Amazing. Prices were reasonable for the quality. I have been to many omakase restaurants that were high caliber, and I'd say this one ranks pretty high up there for me. Customer service was great for a weekend visit. Would recommend!

I love my experience at Crazy Fish Sushi Bar from the fish and the service! I was skeptical about trying new types of fish, but trying them here opened up my options for different fish and got me out of my comfort zone with my usual sushi orders. The staff is also so nice and professional. I noticed that they also paid attention to service. This won't be the last time I am here, though!!

I am not a huge fan of sushi, but I decided to break out of my comfort and try out this sushi spot. The food here was amazing. The people who work here are super humble and sweet. I loved the environment here; I will for sure be back.

I love sushi. I've gotten it at many great spots around. But my first trip to Southport was unreal. The service was super professional. The staff was very informed about what they were serving. This is my new top spot.

All the sushi we ate was so tasty and fresh. The presentation was so beautiful, and every dish was unique. Everything was really good, from the sashimi bowl to the chef's choice nigiri to the rolls. We had a fabulous dining experience and would come back.

This is a great addition to the neighborhood! Delicious, high-quality sushi! I love the menu, they make it simple, but the best part is the service! These folks are warm, welcoming, and an absolute pleasure.

The best sushi we've had in South-East Queensland! We always make sure to stop by when we're down the coast. Friendly staff, cheap prices and good food. Couldn't ask for more.

I'm a relatively new sushi fan but now that I've tried other fabulous sushi places, I felt a bit let down by this one. (I've visited a few times before reviewing).
I'm not entirely sure what the difference is, but here are some observations. The whole preparation area is on display and it doesn't look like a slick, well-oiled engine room like in other sushi restaurants/outlets. There is clutter on display around the shop, hhm, yes, it feels like a shop, not a restaurant.
Our sushi choices were enjoyable enough but not a patch on Hero or Sushi Train at Benowa.
The deep fried options we ordered seemed straight out of a supermarket freezer.

Very very disappointing, the place is overstaffed, the restaurant doesn't even have proper trained chefs that know how to make proper sushi, they have different names for sushis to sound fancy but in reality the combinations of the foods absolutely do not go together, (not being racist) but usually in these asian foreign cuisines you expect Japanese/Asian workers in these typically type of restaurants whereas in Eddie's Crazy Fish Sushi Bar you have all sorts of cultures. The conveyer belt was undeniably atrocious as it had rice, dirt, grease etc on it. the restaurant had a display shelf with dessert tags in it, but there was no desserts on display?? such a disappointment that this business is completely unorganised.

Ordered here, food was very average. Got a chicken teriyaki donburi. Chicken had gross hard pieces all through it and was VERY off putting. Crab salad was tiny and didn't taste very fresh at all.

Been coming here for years! Always fantastic service, staff are lovely and food is just beautiful! Definitely my favourite sushi bar on the coast!

This is the best sushi train on the gold coast! The staff are so lovely and everytime I come in to sit down, they greet me straight away and rush over to hand me a serving of mayo! They remember me everytime! Must try the chicken teriyaki don! Amazing!

This has got to be my favourite sushi restaurant on the Gold Coast. Delicious food and good value. Be warned though, the food is very morish - I always end up leaving fuller than I intended!

The service was so dissapointing! I ordered one thing, and received something totally different. Staff seemed disinterested in the service quality they were providing. The girl at the cash register was incompetent and rude to say the least! I left feeling dissapointed and hungry. Ended up at a different sushi bar where I not only received fantastic service but also exceptional food!
