We have been to this place twice now in the last week and both times our meals have been amazing and great prices.Staff are lovely & friendly.Only downside is if you sit inside you are sitting next to junk stacked against the walls that really should be out the back out of view eg. Empty boxes, planks of wood etc, bit of a eye sore.

Kindly and discreetly cut my vision impaired mother's meal into bite sized pieces so she could eat without difficulty or embarrassment .She really enjoyed a meal without social awkwardness, thank you so much!

Just buoght 2 coffees, chicken sambo and a banana bread. Coffees were spectacular, barista knows his coffee
Bananabread had somuch flavour and beautiful crispy outside

A latte served in a cup, not a glass. It really was just a flat white and a poor quality one at that. I have a coffee machine at home and make a much better coffee. Hudsons at Gold Coast Private Hospital was very disappointed.

Handy licensed coffee shop. Staff are friendly and courteous and the food is top notch. I’m not a coffee expert but my colleagues give a thumbs up.

RUDE RUDE RUDE<br/><br/>Extremely rude and argumentative staff. Coffee isn’t bad but it’s inconsistent, sometimes cold or way too weak. The owner (I assume) argues with you if you complain and tells you you’re wrong. <br/>Just don’t bother with this place, there are plenty of others around and one right next door. <br/><br/>NB. I’ve been here many times and these are my observations, this wasn’t after a one-off negative experience.

Rude. Staff rude - who doesnt allow eftpos for a coffee in these modern times. Manager couldnt care less. Stick your cafe - another across road with friendly staff and good coffee

Breakfast on the run. I pop in to see Matt a couple of times a week for his $6 bacon and egg sandwich and coffee deal. Awesome value and ready in a flash...

Lovely service from the new relief waitress but missing ingredients, soggy bread with the Benedict and horror - a single shot with a tall coffee!? (Does Merlot even allow this!!??) made this a sub par experience. Shape up or move north people...

Diana. We only had a quick coffee here & felt like we had to be quick too, they were already packing up the tables at 2pm, didn't ask when they were due to close as there were a few people still inside. The coffee was not great either considering it was Merlo. The food we saw looked gigantic serves though. I see the last review for here was last year they may have changed baristas or owners since then

Best Breakfast on the Gold Coast. While the quality of service depends on who you get, the food and coffee here are fantastic!! They use their own blend of Merlo coffee, and everything we've had on the menu has been incredible (I'm partial to the omelettes and 'Brekkie Burger').<br/><br/>If I had one complaint, aside from one or two lackluster servers, it would be the fact that they are closed on weekends. What kind of breakfast place doesn't do Sunday brunch!?
