Delicuous food. Friendly staff and spotless shop. This restuarant has become a fast favourite of ours and will continue to keep going back.
visited on a weekday evening for dinner. ordered the chashu lover ramen as classic selections and few other sides. Fresh ingredients, combined with soup broth rich in taste, the pork slices were so tender they literally melted in my mouth. an unforgettable gourmet experience, delicious. a must visit
best ramen i ever had ! love the new winter menu and friendly staff ! Good jobs !
So tasty and staff are amazing definitely worth a visit I tried the spicy ramen hot and it was little mild but just add extra
Hands down my favourite restaurant. I bring my family here nearly every week. The staff are friendly and the food is amazing.
The very best ramen in neighborhood. Staff are very nice and of course, the ramen itself is absolutely wonderful!
Had the Soft Shell Crab Ramen. Absolutely yummy food. The flavours of the soft shell crab resonated so well with the soy broth. Definately coming again. Reasonably priced with great food.
Absolutely DELICIOUS!!!
The ramen here is amazing, especially the karaage ramen. Serving sizes are very generous and the price is reasonable. Nice music, and great atmosphere. Staff are also very welcoming and kind.
This was my first proper ramen meal, and it was delicious! We got the classic ramen and the pork was super tender & the broth was fantastic. Just need a fork, as my chopstick skills are poor.
10/10 fresh delicious ramen! Nice establishment and good to have a decent place outside of Brisbane
Best in South East Qld! Tried all others and these guys never disappoint! Chili oil on the table makes for a great addition to any broth
Very friendly staff, large portions and the best ramen I’ve had!
Very friendly staff and delicious food. Tried Ramen bowl for the first time, loved it and will be back.
First ramen experience and my gosh I’ll definitely be back! It was absolutely amazing! And the staff were friendly! Thank you!!!
Absolutely delicious and excellent customer service.
Highly recommend it!
Wow! Amazing service with friendly staff. The food was amazing. Will be highly recommended
By far the best ramen around the broth is so cloudy and full of flavour
Good food. Friendly staff. Nice ambience.
Actually my favourite ramen place ever. I go Atleast twice a week and most of your awesome workers know what I order hahaha
Absolutely delicious! Great flavours, HUGE serving sizes, friendly staff ☺ Do yourself a favour and try it!
Absolutely beautiful Ramen. Very tasty. Great prices and very friendly staff. Beautiful gyoza. So glad to find a Raman restaurant in the area so we don't have to travel far. Will definitely go back and make it a regular thing.
Great place with great atmosphere and lovely staff. My Fiance and I both love the Shoyu here....it is amazing! I don't understand the mixed reviews about watery broth and serving size. I'm certain the servings the same size as Ramen Champion and Hakataya and the flavours are on par, if not better. The "expensive" $1.50 for a whole extra serve of noodles is a completely fair and welcome price to pay. It's a business, the owner has to make rent somehow. A tasty and filling meal for around $30 for a couple is good value in my opinion. Keep up the good work guys!
Great portion and reasonable price, tender pork, flavourful broth compared to other ramen shop I tried such as ramen champion(flavourless) and hakataya (too porky and greasy)
I had the Classic Ramen (Shoyu Soy broth) which was full of flavour (photo). My partner had Spicy Ramen (hot) which was quite spicy but he still enjoyed it. We shared a serve of Karaage, and Kakiage (vegie). All serves were generous and the dipping sauce served with the Kakiage was delicious, like a sweet bbq! The ambience is basic but nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will return to try more menu items.
New favourite ramen place in Brisbane. Very flavoursome broth, great portion but just a little pricey. Noodles are thinner than other places but still firm. Shoyu base is my favourite so far as it is stronger in flavour (against shio - shio is a light and creamy broth) Defs reccommend to come try if you love ramen.
One of the few ramen places around Springfield. Solid ramen for a decent price. I ordered spicy ramen and the char siu was pretty well cooked. It is a pretty quiet place even at lunch.
Tonight we tried the charshu Ramen with a side of soft shell crab. I give this Ramen 5 stars and the soft shell crab 5 stars. After having this Ramen, I don't think I'll try their other flavours because this one really hits the spot! 1 week ago we came here and tried the black garlic shio ramen with a side of kaarage. I give this Ramen 3 stars (I wasn't too keen on the black garlic sauce as it was abit oily), and the kaarage 4 stars.
We are somewhat Ramen snobs and we have been quite impressed by this hidden gem at the Orion. Weekly we would drive from Ipswich to Sunnybank for hakataya Ramen but after discovering this place and their charshu .... well.... it's quite hard to decide which Ramen truly is the most amazing!!
The staff here are terrific and very nice atmosphere. I am really glad that we have a quality Ramen restaurant with authentic flavour close to home now and I highly recommend giving them a visit.
We ordered the black garlic Ramen on a miso base and a katsu chicken curry. Both were delicious, staff were fast, polite, and friendly. We would definitely come back again.
I was impressed with decor, it's really well presented. I ordered the regular ramen, edamame & takoyaki $24.50. Bit on the pricey side. My sides were great, thumbs up. The ramen definitely needed to be hotter & was quite oily. I enjoyed the noodles, meat & egg. Sadly I've had better ramen but i would give it another go if i was nearby. Also why no free noodles!? (The menu i uploaded said they're $1.5 but the menu i was given inside said they were $3)
Excellent! Springfield needs more places like this rather than the franchised dross popping up in the area.
Tasty food, super friendly service. I will become a regular here I am sure.
What's better than ramen in cold wet afternoon?
Drove for 20min and arrived at Orion shopping centre which seemed to be a nice complex with newish looking restaurants and shops.
Found hikari ramen straight away as nice exterior caught my eyes. I appreciated their effort in creating this beautiful Japanese style look. Interior also looked very nice with good ambience.
Browsed through the menu and ordered and paid first at the counter. I went for classic ramen with shio(salt) broth. My partner ordered tsukemen(dipping ramen) which comes with thickened tonkotsu broth. And not to forget karaage.
Fist came appetiser Karaagr(fried chicken). It was seasoned well with nice crispy skin inside and juicy tender chicken inside. Mine was ok but my partner told me that one of the chicken piece was cold which she was but disappointed.
Shio ramen:
Broth:nice flavour. Not too oily. Just the way I like it.
Noodle:super thin straightish noodle, cooked soft. Mix with soup well.
Toppings,:seasoned egg, bamboo shoot, pork, springonion. Simple and good. Pork was a little on dry side but can dunk in soup for moistness.
As for tsukemen which I had only few bites was not my liking. I didnt really like the taste of thickened broth. It was like a gravy with strange aftertaste. However my partner who likes tonkotsu flavour loved it and thought it was great so i guess itll just depends on personal preference.
Overall really good ambience, cute cutlery, simple ramen and good customer service. Seems to be the owner is Taiwanese? But whatever the nationality of chef/owner is I can see their passion towards ramen and that is what I look for. I will come back here and and try shoyu(soy) ramen next time.
Both my husband and i loved it. It's just like being at a sunnybank restaurant. Very friendly staff. The food was a little bland but it made up for it in atmosphere.
I hope it stays open for a while we would love to have asian restaurants near our new place.
Nice atmosphere, food was fresh and tasty, I particularly liked the karaage chicken ramen. Not sure how the bogans around here will like it, they might want to have chips n gravy as an entree. This review needs to be 140 characters long.
Overall, the ramen here is good, portion sizes are good too. The first sip of the broth was quite salty, but the more you ate the taste became milder and nicer. However, the broth isn't as rich and flavourful as I'd like it to be with an advertisement of 10hr simmered pork soup. The char siu was average, a little bit dry, and the noodles weren't soggy but they weren't chewy either. Altogether, this ramen bowl was filling and a good meal, but not a stand out.
They have hardworking and caring chefs and waitresses, if you got any questions or need some flavouring adjustments- they try their best. It's just opened- regardless of the busy situation , food is still really good. We had Karaage Shoyu and Spicy Ramen- medium, both really good- Spicy level is usually according to each individuals preferences- to my friend it's a bit mild, to me it's just right- you can ask them to add a little bit more chilli. We forgot to take a ramen photo cause we couldn't wait to try them! I downloaded one from the Orion Springfield's facebook page.
Gave them 4 stars before, we recently visited. Their broth got more flavourful than before and loved how they slightly seared their chashu. Nice relaxing dining environment. A little gem just lil bit outside of Brisbane.
I ordered the spicy ramen hot. It was a little salty and not enough spiciness. However, it still had good flavour and decent size serving. Service is quick as I received my ramen soon after ordering. I do like quick service when it comes to places like these. Nice interior and ambience. Overall good place to eat at.
