Review Bharawan Da Dhaba - Springvale

What amazing Indian food. We ordered a few dishes. - Mango lassi was light and easy to drinks. - Chaat papdi which was combination of spicy, sweet, savoury and tangy ( I'd recommend this). - Puri's are so crispy and a great starter. - Butter chicken/ curry chicken ($14) and get value. Both chickens were so rich in flavour and paired so well with either the roti or rice, the portion off rice is very generous. Although the curry chicken was slightly salty and the chicken portioning was not as big, the sauce compensated for it. A great place for Indian cuisines + the staff were so friendly with recommending us a starter.

One of the best Indian cuisine restaurant in the locale with our experience. The food is piping hot, delicious and not oily. We have tried multiple dishes but the kulcha and butter chicken stand out for us. The butter chicken is not just chicken in a tomato gravy which is served at most of the Indian restaurants but has a nice thick texture which is bedazzled with spices. The kulcha is humongous and the chole that are served with it are delicious. The availability of this dish can be a pain at times but if you can get your hands on this, you will not regret ordering his. The other breads are also served fresh and are well made. The chicken takatak was disappointing though. Was tangy more than spicy.

Authentic and flavourful food specially their Amritsari Kulcha. All the dishes are well cooked and yummy. The only pain during dine-in is their service time, we wait almost for an hour everytime but I don’t see it as an issue when we’re getting such a good food. Highly recommended place if you are looking for authentic Punjabi / North Indian food.

Fantastic food, whenever we want the best food we always visit this place, very good customer service. Quality of the food is excellent.

Ordered lamb Rogan Josh n kadai chicken on Menulog for pickup at 8pm on 27th March. Food was ready on time. Came home n opened the box to see kadai paneer instead of kadai chicken. We do not eat paneer and do not have patience to drive to their restaurant at 9pm n ask for a replacement. Hope the owner sees this n offers a replacement food/credit honestly. Photos attached.

Lamb korma was delicious and creamy and naan was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Will come back

Worst experience ever . It happens 3 to 4 times already We ordered food like at 12:30 pm and they served us half food at 2 pm and give us excuse that chef is slow then served the rest of food at 2:45 pm. Don’t know what kind of service and management is that. Please don’t go to waste your time and money. Better go next door and have hungry jacks.

A hidden gem! We went to grab a quick lunch. There is a wide range of options to choose from, but we ordered Non veg thali's. Taste of food was traditional, but customer service not that good. Quantity is just right one. Value for money, specially rotis which are served hot straight from tandoor. We will definitely be back to try something different!

Delivered via Uber Eats, food and serving quantity was good! So far one of the best Chole Bhature... For sure would like to visit physically and experience the service.

Rude staff and very slow service. The wait staff didn’t even clean the table properly and made us wait for more than 50 minute before serving the order

Rude staff (receptionist) served us smelly and bad quality food doesn’t even deserve one star. Place has loud music it is extremely irritating. I usually go to Indian restaurant next to it but it was closed on particular day me and my partner visited . I am really concerned with the quality of chicken they serve it was smelly drinking glasses still had food particles on it they were not washed properly wouldn’t ever visit this place .

The worst service in Melbourne , got<br/>my food delivered 2 hours late , with not even an apology. Food was oily n level of spice was unimaginable. We were all sick the next day. Would not even go near this place again.

Got the special thali (non-veg) here. Tbh, it was pretty well-cooked, especially the chicken tikka masala. Reminded me of india. But that poor rating is only for the absolute rubbish service they have. The reception lady just wouldn’t smile. Did not greet me or even say thank you. Change the staff! <br/>

Not a pleasant first time experience. They had an open door sign with the door locked from inside. When I rang I was told that they are closed. Wow I haven't seen such a FOOLISH act. Change the sign to close if you are not serving and stop misguiding.

A good place to come for a nice and casual feed but not so much for the service or ambiance. I had the butter chicken with cheese naan. I did also try my partner's tawa roti, this was puffy and quite tasty with my butter chicken.

My food was quite good however, customer service was absolute crap!!! I had something missing from my order so I called the store and nicely informed the lady, she was so rude and didn't even apologise she was umming and ahhing, then asked if I could come pick it up? After I payed delivery fee the whole point of Menulog is for the delivery, so if you stuff it up you fix the mistake.

Really liked the food here. Value for money and good flavour. Ordered chicken kadhai and was really good. We will be back for sure. Thanks.....

Have tried on 5 occasions , food was great 4 times, but not very good only once, their garlic naans are yummy. I think it's worth giving it a go...

Food is ok and value for money but if you look at anyone's face serving you or taking order, it seems they are being forced to do their jobs. Interiors feel like spare furniture from home has been utilised in the restaurant, menu is written on an A4 paper on a wall.<br/><br/>Food was ok but i didn't feel like eating looking at the faces people serving. Make sure you go to the toilet at home before planning for this restaurant.

We went last thursday to this restaurant and we were really disapointed by the food.actually i've never ever seen those kind of food in my in any indian restaurant.goat curry and chicken vindaloo was terrible no taste no texture no flavour.

This is my favourite Indian place, nice meaty curries with lots of flavour, very authentic Indian in the south eastern suburbs but this place has great options for those who might not like the heat or too much spice, best butter chicken I've ever eaten, lamb korma is fantastic too. Order from here one every fortnight and has been consistently fantastic

Disappointed. Ordered goat biryani from here for delivery. Besides the fact that it took nearly half an hour longer than what it should have, the food was terrible. Tasted like it has been frozen and that they just microwaved reheated with a really strange taste. I will definitely not be ordering from here again

Le Boy and I were craving some India after a training session on the bike to ready ourselves for the Around the Bay event. We had just done around 40km on the Eastlink Trail and we were both very hungry. Le Boy was craving for some Indian and so we decided to go to our go to place of choice for convenience and late hours. We went to Bharawan Da Dhaba. The first time I went here was on Sunday night at 11pm for dinner after ice skating at the Medibank ice centre. It was the only place that was still open. Since then Bharawan Da Dhaba has been the place Le Boy and I go, to get our late night Indian fix. Veg Platter $10.00  A mix of 2pc smaosa, 2pcs mixed pakora, onion bhaji served on hot sizzler Whenever coming here, we would only order a curry each with some naan bread. Today, I wanted to try one of their entrees. The veggie platter seemed to provide the best option for sampling a few different things. And my gosh, it was really good. I can’t understand why I never tried to order it earlier. The samosas were filled generously and it didn’t taste like there was too much pastry. The mixed vegetable pakoras were also delightful. And the sauce that accompanied it was the best. Le Boy thought it was even better than BBQ sauce, and that’s saying something  (since he pretty much puts BBQ sauce on everything). Next time I’ll ask them what kind of sauce it was, because I really want to know how to make it. Baigan Bhartha $10.90 Eggplant cooked with onion, tomatoes & Chef’s special spices Today I tried a different vegetable curry from what I usually order. The first time I was here, I tried a cauliflower and pea curry which to this day is still my favourite. The baigan bhartha was not quite what I expected it to be. It reminded me of the tomato and onion flavoured cans of tuna you get from John West. It was a drier type of curry, with of the sauce component for you to dip in.
