Review Marty's Pizza Hideout - St Albans

Pizzas here are great. Would say best pizza in the suburb as I have tried all of them. Would recommend to call them directly and pick up yourself for cheaper price.

Delicious pizza made by the loveliest people in town. Wait until you try there nutella pizza !

Quality of pizza was poor. Ingredients all tasted flavourless. Smells like someone sprayed cleaning agent on it. Not recommend anyone.

The pizzas are pretty good. However, being told that I was not "allowed" to watch my pizzas being made has put me off rushing back. The other thing that bothered me was the way that the pizza maker communicated with the Uber drivers. He was quite arrogant and condescending. Service and good pizzas go hand in hand. If the service is poor then good pizzas are not good enough no matter how long the business has been around. If everything else is closed then I will go back, but they will not be my first port of call, even though they are only 2 mins from my place...

I do really like the customer service plus one of the pest pizza places I’ve tried in Melbourne

Very racist. Went to pick up an order and they refused it saying its not ready but i was able to see it on their counter and they refused to give it to me…

Best pizza I have ever eaten.
Munching With Mel
Rating: 4.5
Food: 4.5
Value: 5
Ambience: 3
Service: 4.5

My go to pizza joint, and my favourite pizza place on uber eats, I couldn’t ask for anything more. They always make these pizzas so fast, that can remain piping hot, are crispy, and loaded with delectable goodness.

When you do order or visit this restaurant, I highly recommend trying their garlic bread or cheesy garlic bread. Not many restaurants serve up garlic bread with a twist, but I sure loved it. Although it was a fun and tasty attempt, it would’ve tasted perfect without the tomato sauce that may have been a little bit overpowering. Tomato sauce belongs on pizza pretty much.

Let me say it to you once. All their pizzas are amazing. There is so much to choose from and not one is a letdown. This day, we ordered the seafood pizza and the beef mince pizza. Both were amazing, and the star of the dish, the meat/seafood, were seasoned well and cooked perfectly.

This restaurant also sells pastas which I oh so love as well. Their carbonara is so creamy (maybe a little salty) but it tastes like it was made with love and warmth. Their portions always fill you up for such an amazingly cheap price.

I am your loyal customer, and will always be for this local gem.

❤️ mega meaty (family, delivery: $18.90); Aussie (large, delivery: $9.90)

👍 quick and easy service; great value for money; generous topping portions; very filling

❗️highly recommend eating in the store for the best tasting experience, as delivery tends to soften the base

I’ve eaten at this place since a child. I remember my dad taking me here but the last time I ordered delivery will be the last. Absolutely pathetic wait times. 1-2 hours for 1 damn pizza. Had to call the store 2 times and were told it’s on its way but still waiting waiting and when the delivery guy came, no apology or explanation as to the wait. He claims it was given to him 20 min ago. So what was the shop doing for 1 hour?! Who is at fault? Extremely annoying, pizza quality isn’t even that outstanding either.

Easily one of the best pizzas I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Located in the heart of Stalbans with free local delivery, it is very hard to find a better value pizza, considering how big and inexpensive it is ($16 for a FAMILY size as pictured).

We ordered the Boss pizza and the bbq meatlovers pizza and both were sensational. I will never go to a different pizza place again. The boss had the perfect amount of ham, pineapple, cheese, sauces and mushrooms whilst the meatlovers was layered in delicious chicken and flavours. There is just a thick layer of flavours, making for such a wonderful taste.

Service was also quick as delivery came in roughly 30 minutes as opposed to the recommended 1 hour.

Try this place for yourself and I promise you will not regret it. Best in the business for sure! *Heads up, you will be catering my birthday in two weeks hahahaha

Food: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Value: 4/5

Overall: 4/5

Ive tried this place a couple of times, j7st to be fair, but the pizzas here are absolutly disgusting. A taste of burnt dough and leathery cheese with flavorless burnt to charcoal tasting ham.

My wife asked for the lot with egg, so they cooked it and then cracked an egg over the middle and didn't bother cooking it. It arrived dripping through the box leaving the pizza soggy. (Yes they did that 3 times even asking them to make sure the eggs not runny this time)

It's a no wonder they don't charge extra for delivery, they can't get too many call backs again. We've tried the lot, Hawaiin, pepperoni. Mexicana and a couple of others and they just get worse tasting everytime. Never again from here.

Have been having the pizzas from Marty's since I was a kid, I used to not be a massive fan of how they coat the bottom of the pizza with shredded ham and then the rest of the toppings ontop, but now it is more in my favour because the meatier the better. The quality is the same from when I was younger, and it is even better now with the wider variety of options, such as our personal favourite, the cheeseburger pizza. Every place has it's good and bad days of service or quality, but Marty's is one where it is worth going back and giving it another go if you get them on an off day, because they are sure to impress.

Ordered for the first time while visiting familynin St. Albans. Definitely will order from here again. Ordered a gnocchi and Pizza. Best Italian food in the area by far. Efficient home delivery too.

We had some pizza and pasta delivered using Menulog. The meatlover pizza was average however I was extremely disappointed with our mushroom and chicken pasta. There was absolutely no effort in the seasoning of the pasta. It was bland and runny.
Something I wouldn't rush back for.

We got the meal deal 8 which consists of a large pizza, large pasta and a large soft drink (1.25) delivery all for 24.90. Due to a public holiday, the wait was a little bit long. However the soft fluffy gnocchi in Calabrian sauce was gone 5 mins after it entered our kitchen. The thin based pepperoni was generous with toppings and cheese cooked to perfection - the ovens are set perfectly. Usually you don't order a pasta unless it is better than the one you cook at home - and this was a winner. Definitely found our new local pizza store

Marty's Pizza has been a hidden gem in St.Albans for some time now, easily accessible from St.Albans train station (1minute walk). There a few things that i'd like to comment on.

1) Marty's great tasting pizzeria! mmm yummy!
2) Marty's awesome customer service
3) Cleanliness of inside store

Marty (the actual owner) is a great guy, very down to earth and overall friendly. I came in one night just about closing time and he was kind enough to put my order through =)

If you live locally or happen to be around St.Albans and feel like a "DECENT PIZZA EXPERIENCE" not your regular mainstream pizzahut, dominos e.t.c i'd highly recommend trying out Marty's Pizza... Don't take my word for it, TRY IT and have your own verdict! My old time favourite at Marty's would be the "Marty's special & the Seafood" mmm just typing this makes my mouth water ;)

Extra Info that may interest readers:
--------------------
Gourmet tasting, not oily, fat and greasy like most other pizza shops.
Affordable pricing (not overly expensive)
Consistency in food & customer service is an always

Pizza tonight anyone? :)
