AH-MAZING. My first visit here today and this place blew my mind. Possibly the best coffee I have ever had and the potato donuts were absolutely incredible. This will be at the top of my list for future visits to Melbourne.
Had Miss Jackson recommended to us by a guest at our nearby accommodation and we were not disappointed. The place had a really nice atmosphere and the staff were just lovely. And the food... oh my god... the crispy pork and buttermilk waffles were outstanding. My wife said her haloumi and corn fritters were "the best breakfast I've ever had". High praise indeed.

This place was recommended by a colleague. Yum. Had the sardines with a yummy sauce on rye with a virgin mary, and both hit the spot. Great little cafe with excellent service and wholesome fresh food. Will be back and highly recommend.
Popped in for Sunday lunch, fabulous service and amazing food! So fresh and tasty. Only thing is there was quite a bit of a wait so don’t turn up starving like I did... but the food is worth the wait! Would definitely visit again �
This is not your average cafe.. run by two very talented chefs/ bakers. We had the smoked meat plate with killer milk buns (all made in house) Egyptian beans, eggs benny with black garlic hollondaise, pair that with great strong coffee and you can't go wrong

Ever since we have moved close to St Kilda, Miss Jackson had been on our 'To-Visit' List. We managed to visit this cute little eatery; which is housed inside a unit / apartment on a quite by-lane (easy to miss), that overflowed with warmth.
Egg Benedict with Crispy Pork, Crispy Southern Fried Chicken Burger, Buttermilk Chicken and Smoked Trouts with potato doughnuts were ordered for the brunch. To drink we had a double shot espresso (I'm sure it was an espresso), cold coffee and cold coffee with ice cream (if I am not wrong).
Everything ordered was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S and innovative.... except the Flatbread which was so chewy and tough. Crispy Chicken was crispy to a perfection, and burger itself was so juicy. Egg Benedict with Crispy Pork and whole lot of assortments was so overwhelming and tasty. Buttermilk chicken without the underwhelming flatbread was so full of flavors. Trout and Potato Doughnuts were tender and crunchy respectively. Coffees were good enough too.
Menu is short and simple but has everything for everyone.
Hospitality of this cute little 'Hidden Gem' is top-notch...even the best fine dinning fail to provide.
Prices for the huge portions are too good a deal. Were so happy with everything that we are definitely Returning Soon.

Vege benedict was amazing, beef brisket nachos were okay. Staff were friendly although service was slow. Would still be keen to go back and try some other items on their menu as I really enjoyed the benedict. Food was well priced too compared to a lot of other brunch spots.

Visited this cosy brunch place on a Sunday noon and it was almost full but we got a seat right away. The staffs were all really nice and food was a reasonable wait as there were lots of people. (3.5)
Had the truffle scrambled egg and it was a nice dish. Definitely something a bit heavy and flavourful but everything worked well together, though I personally think it would do better without the prosciutto. Also would love to have bit more fresh components to balance the dish.
Tried my sis' vege eggs benedict and it was tasty but we felt like it was definitely too heavy and could definitely use some refreshing components as the sauce was a flavourful smoky BBQ and the potatoes were fried so would be better if the brussels weren't fried.
Overall, despite some things that could be changed, it's a pretty nice brunch place with a wide variety of selection, decent price and good vibe.

Scrumptious All Day Breakfast with Incredible Value.
📍Located just off one of the main roads in St Kilda and just a short walk from the water front.. this café is definitely in a prime location. However, it still manages to remain somewhat secluded to give you that peaceful morning start.
Whilst parking is a little more challenging, there is plenty of tram stops nearby.
🌟The most important thing to note about Miss Jackson is that the serving sizes are very LARGE. I definitely could have shared my meal.

One of the best savoury brunches I’ve ever had and MUST HAVE potato doughnuts!
FOOD: I ordered the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict (after long contemplation, as everything on the menu looked AMAZING). It was spectacular! My favourite part has to be the potato doughnuts! It was sooo fluffy and flavourful while being crispy and light!! Although, it is not presented in the most beautiful form, its lovely taste definitely made up for it! The smoked salmon was really really delicious and flavourful, the celeriac thing was also amazing! It was like a very delicious sauerkraut. The black garlic hollandaise was subtle but great! I do wish the portion was a little bigger as it was a little small imo.
SERVICE: The service was kinda up and down. I was actually completely forgotten about lmao so I had to go to the counter to ask to place my order which I didn’t mind but as I wanted to pay, I felt one of the servers being slightly grumpy to me so 🤷🏻♀️
Overall, I think Miss Jackson’s unique menu range along with reasonable brunch prices makes it a great cafe to visit if you’re ever around St. Kilda! The atmosphere is really homey and I would return if I were around the area!
A lovely little cafe in the backstreets of St Kilda, Miss Jackson is a warm and comfortable environment; perfect for relaxing over a great coffee and fantastic food. With a simple but fresh decor and an appetising menu, it's easy to become addicted to this cafe.
The menu has a healthy slant, and everything is fresh and delicious. The coffee too is outstanding, and it's all delivered by friendly, helpful staff. I love the relaxed vibe here, and the enjoyable experiences make me want to return again.
The menu here is very inventive - two pages of delicious offerings which made it extremely hard to decide. Just wanting something light we went for the fermented milk bun with avocado and feta but we couldn't resist a side of potato doughnuts with black garlic hollandaise. Delish. Excellent coffee and fantastic staff.
Love this place. Nowhere does a big, diverse and changing breakfast menu quite like Miss Jackson. I always enjoy coming here with friends because everyone can find something that they’ll like to try, whether they are there for the first time or are a regular. Food is delicious and has a southern US tilt to it, which again is unique for a cafe in the area.
This is the best place in St Kilda for breakfast. The menu really isn’t like anything you get anywhere else: inventive combinations and delicious flavours all round, together with a well-stocked sweet cabinet and good coffee make this five stars. The takeaway options are great value as well - the potato doughnuts are a must-try.

I tried this place for the first time last Saturday and it was great! It‘s so close to home, they have great food, great portion sizes and its quite reasonably priced. There is an outside area, which is probably redundant now it’s winter BUT dogs are also welcome inside, when I was there last time a lady brought her small dog inside, which is always fantastic! I would definitely recommend the Eggs Benedict with pulled pork and the blood on earth smoothie. Miss Jackson is a real hidden gem.
This place is amazing the Benedict with salmon was to die for beautiful flavours just perfect. And to add to the Perfection the coffee and staff were also impeccable.

I loved the complexity of the dishes, yet not one component stole the spotlight of another component for each dish! It’s a pity I did not save any of the pictures I took during brunch but my friend and I ordered the baked eggs and the one with figs along with a side of potato doughnuts. Super delish!
However, the service was super slow even when the cafe was not busy at all during the time I went. Nevertheless, my friend and I thought that the food was worth the wait.

Once you find this place (in Grey Street) you enter a whole new world. Away from the funkiness of many other cafes, this is a gorgeous place to come and have a meal. Today I had the waffles - OMG they were amazing. And then served a coffee that the barissta should be given a gold medal. The staff were lovely and seemed to enjoy working at Miss Jackson. However, service can be slow. Takeaway available. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram/stroller accessible. Parking is okay.
A friend highly recommended this little cafe. And boy were they right.
Amazing food, service and affordability are a rare combination. But Miss Jackson goes above and beyond and easily ticks all three boxes for me.

I heard a lot good things of this place from my 'cafe hunter' friends but I never able to locate it everytime I drove along Fitzroy St. Until weeks ago I realised it was located off Grey St!
Believed to be converted from a Victorian Era residential building, the interal of the cafe still remain most of the Victorian Era atmosphere.
Their coffee reputation was one of the key reason I wanted to give this place a try. I was delighted by the hardwork and skill from their barista.
Coffee as my 'appetiser', we ordered some fantastic main course.
The Crispy pork belly on buttermilk waffle. A sweet dish with crispy, tasty buttermilk waffle topped with delicious crispy pork belly served with maple sweet & sour sauce. Yummy!
Followed by savory Meats tray, filled with different flavourful & smoked meats such as beef brisket, pulled pork, pork belly & kransky. Apart from smoked meat, it included fried chicken fillets & milk bun. I'm really impressed with how they able to put plenty of multiple elements on one single tray.
Truffle egg with prosciutto & pulled pork. It was insanely good! The scramble egg with truffle served with prosciutto, mushrooms, Brussels sprouts mixed miso aioli. Great taste and combination!
Overall service was pleasant! Great experience with such as good reputation cafe.

The food here is some of the best cafe food you will ever have. I have been here a half dozen times now and it is always delicious. Sadly however, the service is painfully slow. Sometimes I have waited in the entrance for service and had to go looking for staff who were talking in the kitchen. Another time I sat outside, eventually got water but no menu at lunch time and then was forgotten about. I had to go back inside to order. The food then takes ages to come out. I'd like to say it's worth it, but it certainly diminishes what could otherwise be the perfect cafe. I hope the owner's/staff can take this on board and make this cafe a 5/5 by improving their attentiveness and speed.
Food is really delicious. So creative, substantial, just tasty. Potato doughnuts are an amazing accompaniment. Coffee beautiful and iced chocolate made with real chocolate. Service is very slow on the weekend but friendly. A highly recommended cafe and will return to try the other tempting items on the menu.

Seriously had a hard time finish my plate - it could feed 2 adults easily. The lady next to me left half of her plate. A lot of things on there - mostly protein and I was dying for some greens so I stole from my friend (lol). Wish I had chose something lighter, maybe on our next visit!
Delightly surprised by the menu Miss Jackson offered. They have a big non regular menu which I find that completely opposite from other cafe. The potato donuts are insanely good and so is the truffle scramble egg. The plate looked busy with multiple elements but they complemented each other very well. I will definitely come back again.
Our favourite brunch spot. Came across it while going to Alliance François. Very unique meals and great bloody Marys. Love the work they do with black garlic and my partner's favourite is the American BBQ platter. Friendly staff, cheery vibe. Caught up with friends at Miss J and glad we did. The place is a little tricky to find but it is the corner of Grey and Jackson but the entrance is on Jackson. Now to the part that matters..
The service is excellent, had a queue but it wasn't too long to wait. The service was quick and attentive, friendly and polite. They explained the two menus and food wait is a little long due to the fact everything is made fresh. Again it is fine, it wasn't too long.
The quality of the food is excellent and the portion is a decent size. I had the Po Boy with soft-shell crab, a friend had the waffles with crispy pork belly and the Texan smoked brisket burger.. Oh wow! Definitely worth a visit back again as the special menu is very long! 😁

Absolutely amazing, finally came to this little hidden gem after seeing it on Zomato, I split the coconut chia pudding and trout potato donuts with my mum, first we had the pudding and it was perfect, the balance of tart fruit and creamy coconut was divine, we thought it couldn’t get any better but we were oh so wrong. The trout was even better, so many different aspects and layers of flavours, the whipped feta was absolutely genius and the serving was so generous we only just managed to finish it. The staff were all incredibly sweet and the vibe was charming and lovely while the dishes were refined. Definitely a new favourite spot, you can expect us to come again and recommend the place to everyone we know.

My favorite favorite dish is the beef brisket hash brekkie. It's seriously crave-worthy. Coconut waffles are a WIN too. So is everything. Potato doughnuts are a MUST try. Wasn't a big fan of the chicken sesame rice bowl. Stick to the brekkies or the meat tray if you want lunch. Ooh, and try the matcha latte if you're into that!
Great service, average food, very hot restaurant. We were seated inside for the 6 of us, there seems to be no air-cond and we had to rely on the breeze through the opened window and lots of water to keep ourselves cool. Food was very average and nothing outstanding that is worth sitting in the heat for. Service was very nice and friendly though.
Tucked away in a neat little corner, Miss Jackson is a very nice modern cafe with plenty of seating both outdoor and indoor. The staff was very nice and the food is superb. It is a rare occasion where a cafe is worth my time reviewing in recent years.

I had the Breakfast Doona Roll, it was melt in the mouth stuff! My son had the Beef Brisket and that too was a pleasure to eat. We then shared the coconut waffles, they were dreamy and everything I had worked them up to be!

This place is a hidden gem, tucked around the corner of Grey St & Jackson St with a small sign outside, you could easily miss it and that would be a shame.
Once inside the period building it is quite spacious with an outdoor area as well.
The food was amazingly good and so well presented and the coffee was awesome as well

Mmm always a huge flavour punch when you come here but you can leave feeling like maybe they could tone it back so you don't leave hating yourself. Juice was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive but we still had about a 45 minute wait between ordering and eating.
I would suggest trying one blockbuster dish and one healthy light dish and sharing.
Overall enjoy place to go too, decent customer service, great coffee, and a nice cossy atmosphere.
The wait time on food is abit longer than normal but it is well worth the wait.

Miss Jackson is all about the people and bringing the community together with the most flavoursome, unique brunches and spectacular coffee. The two chefs are incredibly talented and love what they do, their creativity shines through the ever-changing specials menu each week- I have tried many of the dishes and I have loved every single one. The staff are like a family and are always willing to go that extra mile. Miss Jackson is an absolute gem in St Kilda, you MUST go.
Ratio Decidendi: If you’ve found brunch to be an all too predictable affair do yourself a favour and make a trip down to Miss Jackson where the specials menu is lined with atypical and inspired flavour combinations. Where else will you find soft shell crab tortillas with avocado and chilli mango sambal dressing or crispy pork belly slathered in smoked maple sweet & sour sauce and atop buttermilk waffles? My go to cafe when hosting visitors, with the iconic St Kilda foreshore a short stroll away once bellies have been filled and preconceptions of brunch suitably dispatched.
A great place for a large servings, good prices, decent coffee and lovely service. A bit of a maze to find because the entrance is connected to an entrance of an art gallery. There was a bit of a wait for our food but boy oh boy... It was worth the wait! Food was delicious, large in servings (yes I am repeating myself for emphasise) and huge menu!!! Will be back again, hopefully soon!

One of my top picks in Melbourne! The flavours and textures in the dishes are just amazing. Absolutely enjoyed their szechuan prawn taco and soft shell crab taco. Interesting twist on eggs benedict as well which came with pork belly and potato doughnuts!
Also managed to try their delicious chai latte! Just be prepared to wait but rest assured, the food is well worth it! :)

WOWZA what a place - you know I only say wowza when it's truly deserved. This house turned cafe is where it's at! While we waited 30 for a table & even longer for our food (mind you, this was Saturday brunch so we expected it!) food was BEAUT!!! I had the brisket burger and OMGJesus was it good... I am literally salivating now thinking of it... sorry, too much? I had a nimble of my friends Cod with Potato Donuts (yep - that's what I said... what a great time to be alive!!!) & holy moley was it devine! Service was decent, could be slightly improved but I didn't care when that burger hit my chops! A must visit!

We were a party of 11 + a two year old celebrating a 30th birthday. The staff could not have been more accommodating and were very informative in explaining the cafe and menu. The meals were served in 20-25 minutes, which was quite acceptable, especially after the staff explained that the meals could take a while as the chefs prepared a lot from scratch. I had the Smoked Texas Rubbed Brisket and it was extremely generous and well priced. We will definitely return as there are many items my wife and I want to try.

Came to Miss Jackson with my sister this morning for breakfast. The cafe is long and narrow and the staff are all incredibly friendly. The menu is incredibly extensive with lots of different options for all dietary needs. We started with some long blacks and for food my sister had the Egyptian beans and I had the heirloom tomatoes with whipped feta and Avocado. The food was very nice but took over 40 minutes to come out! Not sure what could have taken so long! None the less, we weren't in a rush (luckily!) and enjoyed our meals.
Nestled away on Jackson St in St Kilda.. what a great find! Visited this place for lunch today with a friend. I enjoyed the pulled pork brioche roll with apple slaw (amazing!) whilst my friend ordered the salt and pepper calamari salad. Meals were well presented and staff were friendly and welcoming. The signature corn and halloumi fritters with avo & popcorn butter was absolutely delicious. The popcorn butter was just spectacular. It would have been perfect if they could substitute the poached egg with a vegan alternative.
The vegan delight with a piece of crumbed tofu on a bed of mushrooms and salsa beans was great. An extra piece of tofu and halved the amount of beans would have been just right.
The choc doughnut was ok, not too sweet but nothing special.
Matcha latte with almond milk was also ok.
Soy chai latte tasted much better.
The savory meaty doughnut and toastie were apparently too good to share, a must have.
Service was really slow even though the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The courtyard outside was great for dogs and prams if you don't mind smokers hanging around.
The chefs serve good food and the menu is very different to the usual brunch places. I've retry much tried everything from the menu and the food is always top-notch.
Waitresses are kind and friendly, and the food was wonderful. I ordered the portobello mushroom with caramalized pumpkin and my friends picked soft shell crab taco with pork waffle. We all had a wonderful meal. However, the reason why I did not give them over 4.0 is because it took us so long time almost 45 mins to get the course. Besides that, everything was good. Good place to have a chat with friends.
Miss Jackson blew me off! This little gem in St Kilda around the corner from where I Stayed that I never knew impressed me this morning. OMG! The pork belly melts in my mouth but the eggs bennedict is a little too simple with same pork belly sauce on their pulled pork.
I totally forgot about Miss Jackson until a friend of mine suggested we grab our take away coffees from here. I'm so glad she did as now I have a new local coffee shop! My latte was spot on and just so good. The ambiance while we waited was lovely and cosy with great decor. Selection of sweets looked good and I will definitely be back to try the menu.

Haven't been for a while, but remember it having good options for food and coffee, there's a few options on Fitzroy Street but this is definitely on the better side of those on the street.
Love this place. The food is never disappointing! My favourite dish is definitely the heirloom tomatoes with whipped fetta, it always hits the spot! The menu changes very often so it's never boring to eat here. Everything is very reasonable priced and staff is very friendly.
Mr. T and I were fortunate enough to be able to travel to Melbourne over the Anzac Day "long" weekend. We had been planning this trip for the past few weeks. Of course we researched what to see and what to eat. One brunch place which consistently popped up was Miss Jackson. The photos on social media looked enticing and past customer reviews convinced us even more. Also, it was in the perfect location as we had planned to explore St. Kilda and Chapel Street on our first day in Melbourne.
You wouldn't know it was here unless you looked for it, but it's worth finding. It's usually busy and it can be hard to get a table. Always great for a coffee on the way to work.
Went here for Sunday brunch which was basically lunch at 12pm. Got a table straight away so that's a plus. They had an enormous specials page (like actually a whole page) so it was really hard to decide what to get. We ended up with the sweet corn fritters + bacon (regular menu) and the xo fried rice (special). One breakfast & one lunch item to balance it out and it did not disappoint. Wish I could've ordered 10 different things to try them all.
Chose trout with poached eggs mushrooms and potato doughnuts, and corn fritters. The best cafe food that we've ever eaten in a long long time. We are so keen to go back and try more dish. Wonderful finish to our anniversary weekend.
Beautiful ambience, cost environment, it's perfect for a date, a family day, a gathering of friends or even just being by yourself ! The food was splendid, you will not regret coming here. My friends and I order the ham hock smash, baked eggs with lamb, pork belly Waffles and a brisket doughnuts! I highly recommend the doughnuts !

The 4 stars is purely because the time it takes to get your meals. If you are happy to wait for your food and chat with mates this place is brilliant. Great value for money and the flavours were superb. Had a wonderful waiter who was very honest with us about each dish and was helpful in getting us meals we all enjoyed. Will be back for sure.

Different menu, not the typical breakfast options and good for brunch as well.Staff is friendly and attentive also explains well if you are spoilt for choice or cannot decide by your self. The coffee is quite good and reasonable wait times for food.There is parking in the street and on the main road specially during weekends. Will be back when in the area.

Somebody made Brussels sprouts taste good! That's worth writing about! Lured here by a recommendation, the menu seems like an art collection, with each dish combining an eclectic mix of ingredients. I soon settled for the "Panko mushrooms, crispy brussels sprouts, prosciutto, jap pumpkin green chilli truffle, scrambled eggs, gruyere brioche, lime aioli, modern dressing".
The result was a rich fusion of savoury flavours and sweetness, decadent textures to indulge the tastebuds. The Panko mushrooms were slightly crunchy. I'd never been a Brussels sprouts but now I'll never look at them the same way again. This blend of ingredients is well harmonised and those sprouts were actually delicious!
On entering I saw a sign advertising for staff. The server was all alone so I expected to wait. She didn't have much time to clean up between people so the tables were rather dirty. The hot chocolate was watery and had little flavour. The cafe itself is laidback and the outdoor seating looks inviting on a warm day. If there were an extra pair of hands I imagine the experience would be different.
I rate this place 5 stars! During my trip to Melbourne last December (2019), I could not get enough of the food. The burst of flavours and textures were so carefully and thoughtfully curated! I can't explain how good the food was but I thought that they nailed it with the blend of tastes - fruity, savory, sweet, tangy, etc. Now I just wish, there was even a cafe like that in Singapore!
Amazing! The menu is pretty original! We ordered egg Benedict, the chicken, burger and meat dish (breakfast). Super tasty! Nice presentation and good coffee. 100% recommend, if you want to choose something different for breakfast this is the place

Food was flavourful and creatively done, and service staff were very friendly! Our baby had a great time there with the children’s books provided.
My wife and I were there on a Tuesday, and there was parking space around. Good place to chill and do some reading. :)
