We visit here every time we come to St Kilda. Beautiful breakfast (Smashed Avo & Big Breakfast) we we are always impressed with the food and service.
Good service, food comes out quick. Most notably, largest Parmas I've ever had. Parma was nice, chips a little underseasoned, could use a little chicken salt. The downside of this restaurant is that it doesn't take bookings but luckily we were able to find a table for six on a busy Friday evening today.
Been here after a wonderful walking day at St kilda beach. Overall, it was good experience.
Food: we ordered porterhouse steak and carbonara. The carbonara was actually very good in portions and flavour but the pasta was little tough for us. For the steak, the smash potato was on point tasty and perfectly cook as well as The mushroom sauce. However, the steak for me was undercooked.
The place gives a vintage vibe and relax so i did enjoy. Perfect for a hangout night or fill up for tummy. Good customer service but it was hit and miss. i would come back to try there chicken pam another day.
Had head that this was one of the best places to get a Parma and they certainly delivered. Beautifully crumbed schnitzel, quality sauce and the perfect amount of cheese. Not too greasy or over the top, just perfect
Edit: came back in July 2019 and the parmas were as good as I remember! Group booking and we had good service and food arrived quickly.

We came here on a Wednesday afternoon. We wanted a drink. So my partner got a jug and I had a cocktails. The jug was supper cheap $15
I had a expresso martini 🍸 it was yummy.
After having a drink I got a little hungry so my partner was saying they have $1 chicken wings. So we got 12 Peri Peru flavour. They where amazing but be warned. There spicy 🌶 🥵
I had another cocktail and said to my partner I want something els. He said ok let’s try the garlic and cheese pizza! The garlic was strong but amazing!
We came here on a Saturday night. The staff were friendly and attentive. The menu is vast with decent prices. Our pizza was served quickly and was good value for money. The venue was warm, cozy and the music wasn’t too loud. A great place for date night or meal with a group of friends.

Ordered a jug of apple cider and had $1 chicken wings (each) in half BBQ and half peri peri. The BBQ wings were to die for 😍 and the peri peri would be amazing for spicy lovers! Unfortunately I cant take spicy too well 😂

This place is at the centre of the action on St. Kilda promenade. The ambiance, music, chilled beer on the tap and yummy food. This place is a package treat for the sunny afternoons. Their food is great and the dips are out of the world.
La Roche, hereafter for us, is synonymous to Parmas......Crispy, Juicy, Huge and Tasty Parmas. We had ordered Nachos which were yum as well.
They have special deals everyday and lucky us, Wednesdays a reserved for Parmas. Definitely returning to try their pizzas and other stuff on the menu. Service can be a bit confusing because of the crowd but not bad at all.
The customer service here is excellent.

Fettuccine Carbonara - was very creamy and flavorsome. It was very enjoyable

100% one of the best restaurants in Melbourne. Have never had a bad experience here. Food is always amazing- tasty and filling. The portions are HUGE and I normally leave with a takeaway box with lunch for the next day! Great value for money and I urge anyone to go here at least once whilst in St Kilda. I guarantee you will be back!
The food is amazing here especially the Parma 😍 favourite place to catch up with friends and they have really good deals on every day so make sure to check that out when visiting! For the price, it’s so worth it because not only is the food so good, their serving sizes are really big and their food will 100% fill you up. O my downside is the area is so tight and the place can get really loud but it’s not a big issue since it’s a very social place. I wouldn’t recommend it if you can’t be in tight spaces, unless you ask the staff for a table outside but there’s very little seating there.
I think the food is just average. Before I went to La Roche, I was expecting more of this. The picture I took is the American cheeseburger. The beef was a little bit dry and the scrambled egg with toast was plain i could say.
Had a great parma: generous portions with all the basics done superbly.
Great venue; a relaxed pub vibe for what is primarily a restaurant. Always head here when in Melbourne

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and gabbed s table inside. Place is quite cramped and dark but that wasn't too much of a bother. Service was good but it took a while for our food to come out. I ordered the entree bruschetta and I really enjoyed although as always with these types of toasted bread meals it's best to be provided with a sharper knife to be able to eat properly. My boyfriend ordered the parma and I think the price was a bit high for what looked like your standard average sized chicken parmigiana. They put their chips on the side and not underneath so that gives them bonus points. Was a decent meal in a cramped restaurant. Might come back for a monster burger one day.

We popped in for a group birthday meal on a Tuesday around 7.30pm. The place was rammed and when we called before hand they said they didn't accept bookings.
They did manage to get us a table to fit all 7 of us which was brilliant. Service started off really good, orders were taken quickly and correctly.
Service went down quite quickly once the food was serviced. 6 of us got our food quickly and then 1 person was left without food for a good 5 minutes before someone came and updated us. Told us it would be out in a few minutes and it was but it meant the rest of the party waiting to start eating.
Steaks were good but a little chewy, they were cooked to order though.
Two of the chicken parmas were a little chewy and fatty but mine was actually okay.
They don't split bills which was actually only on a small sign near the bar which we didn't see. This caused a massive hassle for us and would have been nice if the waitress also told us after seeing a big group.
Prices are quite expensive compared to other venues unless there is an offer on.
Best parma around! The mexi parma is a must get if you're going to this place, i'm pretty sure on tuesday they have a cheaper deal. Filling though and it is massive i would recommend to share and get something on the side aswell. Delish!
A big HELL YEAH on their parmas, these things are ridiculous! Quality and value are impeccable. If you want to try the best parma of your life, this is the place.
Honest Food at a decent price...
If your looking for a hearty mid week treat that isn't going to break the bank. This is a pretty good option. Plenty of seating creates a happening atmosphere and the pommy staff were always happy to help.
The menu has so many options that I struggled to pick what I wanted but ended up going with the Chicken Ceasar Salad (trying to be somewhat healthy)
It was good. Plenty of chicken which I was happy about and the salad was good too.
My friend ordered the Calamari which I had to try... obviously and it is seriously good. Huge servings of everything so you will not leave here hungry

Fantastic Ubereats experience two times in a row. Highly recommend these guys! Pizzas are amazing!!! And if you are a calamari fan the calamari is fantastic! Very impressed! Keep up the good job guys.
Fantastic bar food. Bit cramped inside as they try to fit in as many people as possible, we asked to move to a different table because we were squashed up against people behind us! Other then that I would highly recommend
Biggest parmas in Melbourne, topped off with $6 pints during drink special times. Staff are always friendly and there's always sport on the TV. Mad big breaky for $16 on the weekends.
Always a favourite of mine. Simple but delicious food and cheap beers. Love the breakfasts definitely the best in St. Kilda in my opinion 👍🏻
Great place for lunch, positioned along one of the main roads through St Kilda - so its safe to say you're amongst it all. Food was fairly nice, was extremely impressed with the calamari however the Margherita pizza lacked a lot of flavour. I'm sure I'll be back to try again, would recommend.
Well...mixed feelings....not sure what to say...or prob I had gone with a lot of expectations....don get me wrong...the food was good...had chicken Parma and wings....but did not feel that zing people talk about...prob need to visit another time for an unbiased review....till then....this is what it is ....sorry la Roche team 😩
It's always a fun time visiting @larochestkilda!! Beers and food a plenty. With many food options on the menu it makes a great venue to hang with friends and to enjoy something a little left field 😅 Triple cheese burger, with some of the crisp bacon going around and of course parma 😍 Their parmas are boss on the own but adding it to a burger takes it next level 👊
Happiness is food. What a scrumptious steak. Simply yet stunningly presented. If you are up for a bit of acland st grunge the pricing is pretty reasonable and the portions very generous. My friend and I were so full we barely managed to waddle down to 7 apples and get a gelato. We got there in the end..
Delicious! My calamari salad was enormous and so full of flavour. You guys nailed it! Hubby had southern fried chicken and miss 8 had the kids schnitzel and chips. Saturday special for a pint of cider was fab. Will definitely be back. Thank you 😊

This place is always packed with locals and backpackers staying in the area.. and everyone is eating the same thing - because their daily specials are what make this place amazing. Tuesday and Wednesday nights you can get $15 parmas, and they are the biggest and tastiest parmas you'll get anywhere. Get in before 6 for good drink specials and to ensure you get a table, as it's not always a guarantee. They let you take away as well - in case eating an entire chicken isn't one of your best skills.
Wednesday night is the night of nights! La Roche is pumping and you can see why by my picture. Wednesday is schnitzel day, $15 for a plate size Parma. Sooo goood!
Great atmosphere and a quality feed. The schnitzels here are cheap and huge on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so make sure you come hungry! They also have $10 jugs which is just awesome.
Excellent place !!!! Have been following them on Instagram since long. Finally visited them over a weekend. Just had the Timtam shake which was completely outstanding. Loved it!!! The best shake ever had in my entire life. Sorry but couldnt eat anything as we were full. But the food looks yummy too. Keep it up guys!!!

We've been here lots of times and have never been disappointed. Their daily specials are great value and generous sized meals. We try to taste a new meal each time we visit and now can't decide on our fav! Good vibe, fab food and great value. What more could you ask for?
A gem of St Kilda, great atmosphere with amazing food that comes in large to ginormous portions, always hot fresh and fast with amazing variety on the menu. Plan your day here as each day of the week has excellent specials which makes these great meals super affordable, however meals that aren't on the special board for that day might seem a bit expensive. Drinks are cheap here regardless of specials. The only thing that would make this place better is more outside seating, as what is there at the moment is generally taken up by smokers.

We had just come from a horrible experience at Matcha Mylk bar (pretentious place down the road - feeling fed-up and hungry after 2 hrs wait before leaving to find somewhere worthy of our $$)... We found La Roche and were OVER THE MOON when the kind waitress told us they had a massive selection of breakie items available until 5pm!
We started with Wedges (huge bowl!) and then 3 breakie mains that were larger than out stomachs could fit! Very tasty, well seasoned, soooo many vegetarian options and just a overall chilled, relaxed, comfy environment to be on a Sunday arvo.
Saturday is burger day down at La Roche in St Kilda, all burgers are $15 which comes with fries. As the burgers were already cheaper I decided to double up the fried chicken so I could get a bit more of the fried chicken goodness. Tender, juicy chicken with a bit of a kick with the spicy sauce - this is a great Saturday burger spot - Don't forget to wash it down with one of their awesome milkshakes!
Love this place, nothing fancy inside but they do the best chicken schnitzels and parmas around. Great menu with heaps to choose from. I get the chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce, most amazing mushroom sauce I've ever had and they're not stingy on the sauce which I love. Certainly keep coming back :)

Had a generous calamari salad which was super tender and tasty. My daughter had kids spaghetti Bolognese again generous kids portion. Service good. Good arrived relatively quickly. Good value for money.

I have eaten in here on numerous occasions and have always found the food and staff 1st class. I have tried the big breakfast which was lovely and fresh, the small pizza special which was tasty and also the small fish & chips which was not greasy at all. I am a very fussy eater but had no complaints and would recommend that you give this place a try. There is so much choice. I found the staff attentive, friendly and always on hand to recommend a particular dish. All in all well worth a visit
Tends to my first stop for breakfast whenever i hit Melbourne. Just always reliable for great quality and service. Yum coffee, huge servings of salmon everytime, lots of great extras.

I really like the chicken parmas here , great selection , these guys are the schnitzel specialists, the serve are very big and tasty , the calamari is also very nice, and The chicken souvlaki board, beer is well priced , best to come when the food is on special, as its a bit pricy when you don't , one of my favourite places to go in St kilda .
The La Roche parma is definitely worth trying, A damn tasty parma that will definitely have you going up a notch in your belt. It’s not without its issues, there could be a little more love put into the sides and some better topping coverage, but overall its a damn tasty treat. The next time you’re in Acland St (and if you can get a table) be sure to give it a crack.

Right in the heart of kilda and easily the best breakfast on Ackland street! I recommend the big pommy breakfast! But swap your toast for turkish bread (its beautiful) the black pudding is beautiful and with generous portion sizes and happy helpful staff you cant go wrong!!

Service was pretty standard. It' feels very much like it is primarily a bar, with meals as an afterthought. Menu was okay, standard bar food, serving sizes are very generous though. The sticky date pudding is yummo. They also do delivery... which has been pretty reliable the few times I caved into the mild addiction to that sticky date pudding.
Funky place with some very cool vibes and great music. The menu is so huge that it is a massive struggle to even decide what to get - but luckily they have regular specials on different nights of the week which help steer you. The prices are actually amazing considering quality, location and popularity of the joint, perfect for groups on any night of the week for catch ups and chats. Staff were also super attentive and friendly which is a bonus.
Pub food at its finest. Lovely service. I had the corn fritters and they were amazing. So many delicious elements on the plate that really gave it a mexican feel. Huge portion of a delcious meal. Will definitely be back.
Went here for so many times. I love the pie and burger there which all served with chips and salad. The Chicken prama is really huge, and my friends and I totally three girls cannot finish it. But it taste pretty cool! House steak is a must try, good quality beef with tender tasty and juicy inside when you order medium cook.
I came here a few weeks back with some of my English mates who were after an English cook up. They both went nuts, it's a huge serving and the price is great !!! I had the hallomi, corn fritters with salsa and mine to was a great serving!!! The relish is to die for I wanted more !!!! It works perfectly with the whole fish and I love it ! Will definitely be coming back here soon and definitely recommend the breakfast !!!!
They have different deal everyday, which was the reason why we came here! We came on wednesday night and get home made parma deal for only feakin $15. When the food arrived we were surprised because the portion can feed for 2 people! The food was ok!
I absolutely LOVE coming to La Roche to eat. The staff are friendly, helpful and happy. The staff at this venue do everything they can do make your visit enjoyable. I have had almost everything on the menu over my years and I cannot fault a thing. I am obsessed with the menu, the portion sizes and the price! keep up the amazing work! I will forever love coming here!!!
An acland St favourite - def the place to go if you're hungry! The portions are always massive and the daily deals are great. My favourite is the big breakfast on a weekend, and the coffee isn't bad. Great ambience although it gets a little loud at times. The tv screens are great distractions for the kids as sports are always showing.
My partner and I eat at this restaurant once a week to take advantage of the attentive, thorough and professional customer service as well as the fresh, tasty and well cooked meals available. The food and drink specials are fantastic. As I am from Newcastle, when I have friends/family come to visit I always take them to La Roche because they are so reliable for a great meal.
Love this place! Never disappointed by the food and such a good price for what you get (always leave with left-overs). Staff are usually delightful, despite the steady turnover. Only criticism is if something goes wrong (wrong order, no drinks, finding a chicken bone in your Parma) little to no apology is made. Will be back :)
This place is so great. I have been here so many times for breakfast, lunch and dinner (including tonight for dinner.) I'm never disappointed. The parmas are massive and on the right nights only $15. Their porterhouse steak is delicious. I can never finish the delicious risotto, even though I try so hard. Then tonight to top it off we brought a sticky date home and it was incredible. The flavors were so great and it was still so moist. One of my favorite places in St Kilda. The foods that good I almost forgot to mention the staff are always super nice, the place has a great vibe and artwork on the walls and priced very well. Always lookin forward to going back.

The majority of the menu has degraded in quality. Although the waiting staff is cheerful and on the ball. Highly recommend to try the slow roast lamb burger, pulled lamb roast with caramelised onions, lettuce, tomato, capsicum, cheese. Served with a side of chips. Good quality may I add, for bar food
