Review 7apples Gelato - St Kilda

Jess Hennequin
We decided to ditch the wedding cake and get gelato for our wedding and 7Apples were wonderful! They came all the way to Warburton for a 9pm service which we really appreciated. Their flavour range was amazing and it was hard to pick just 4 flavours! The little gelato cart was adorable and our guests raved about the gelato, a perfect cool down from the dance floor party!

I do enjoy a yummy ice cream, it was so nice to have a large selection of cream and water sweets. So enjoy and spoil yourself, but don't expect anything more than a basic seat and napkin.
Alex Lowe
Tasty stuff and we got in just before the line grew to be around the corner. On a side note, my 3 year old daughter lost the plot in the shop and I had to carry her out kicking and screaming. Nothing to do with the quality of the service or product, just thought I would mention it.

I had the vegan almond/ the vegan chocolate sorbet, so so delicious and creamy The girls working were super helpful and put a lot of effort and care into the scoops and presentation

We love this place! Generally great service and yummy gelato. I love the milkshakes and my daughter always goes for Strawberry sorbet.

Don't get why this gelato shop is so popular. Average flavour selection, average taste, and average pricing. No seating inside or outside.

Such a friendly spot for delicious gelato. Live the salted caramel and the Oreo. Did find the salted caramel melted quickly down the side of the cone, so it’s a sticky fingers moment

Amazing place! You should definitely go grab some gelato here on your next trip to saint Kilda. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is amazing, and of course the gelato is delicious!! Like honestly it is so good, and all at a fair price. I recommend two scoops, and if you can stomach it three as it gets cheaper per scoop (4 being the cheapest but that’s allot of gelato 😂) all in all amazing!

Nice range of ice cream flavours. Ice cream is smooth and flavours are nice, if occasionally a little too sweet. Great location being on busy Acland Street and so close to Luna Park and St Kilda beach. Service is a bit of a let down. They seem to have no serving or queuing system, and I'm not surprised staff often seem lack lustre or disinterested. It's chaotic when it's busy.

Absolutely awesome!!! 💕 We love it here, the ice cream is amazing & the scoop size is definitely very generous, great value for money!!!
Belle Charlene
Delicious sorbets that taste like ice cream! Only annoyance is that they only accept cash, and the sign is really small!
Catalina Franco
Simply put....delicious yummy yummooooo 7apples will see me over & over again especially now that the weather is warming up....a must visit

Really good, really real flavours at a decent price. I had Choc gelato & Choc sorbet. The sorbet had a really deep flavour, and such a smooth texture. There was a bit of a line out the door, and you couldn’t read the flavours till you got to the front. My only suggestion is to have signage on the door or above the counter listing the flavours.
JOELLE
I came on a Halloween night though there wasn't a line at the time. The staffs were really nice and I got to sample a few flavours before getting the almond hazelnut which is vegan.

It was really yummy, the texture was smooth and it was just the right sweetness with some almond chunks and hazelnut flavour in there.

Would definitely recommend checking this place out for some yummy gelatos!

( follow for more!✨)

xx,joelle.

7 apples definitely serves up one of the best gelato and sorbets in Melbourne. This store is located in the perfect location, so close to the beach.

My highlights are the Pistachio, Ferrero Rocher and Dark Chocolate Sorbet (Couldn't possibly narrow it down anymore haha)

Sometimes there are long queues but staff do work efficiently so the line moves faster than you'd think.

A must try on a hot summers day in St Kilda!

We had visited 7 Apples in the afternoon for a snack and had several flavors which were pretty tasty! My favorite was the pistachio and chocolate flavors which were pretty smooth and sweet! The cookies and cream flavor also went well with the pistachio!
Amy
The smoothness and consistency in texture and variety of beautiful and interesting flavours make 7 apples a very popular gelati store in St Kilda. This place is my go-to for a sweet tooth fix if I'm in the area.
Ash.m.watters
The dark chocolate sorbet is my favourite because I have always been such a fan of dark chocolate. When I became a vegan, it was good to know that I could still have one of my favourite sorbets from 7 Apples! I also appreciate how the classic 7 Apples wafer is vegan as well 🍏
Melbourne Restaurant
This tub of gelato is soo delicious! The ferrero is my go to for any chocolate flavour and the lemon sorbet is never a disappointment.
Will be back for more in St kilda!
We received a friendly service and of course a delicious amount of gelato!
Angela Jess
I was invited to 7apples a while ago and to this day I still think it is the best gelato place by far I have attended to.
I had the cookies and cream and a ferrero gelato cup in one cup and the lemon sorbet and strawberry in another and it was GOOOOOOOD!
I took a tub of ferrero home for the family and boy it was demolished within the day.
Cookies and cream was the best I have ever had, they were so creamy and flavorful and sweet.
I know I will be in the area again in some time soon, I will definitely be back for more and take a few tubs home.
Worth. every. penny. Guaranteed.

We were invited into 7apples Acland St store to try their award winning gelato and sorbets. Being one of the coldest days in winter wasnt a deterrent to load up some crispy waffle cones with gelato goodness! What an assortment of flavours to choose from. Their new White choc hazelnut crunch was delicious, their dark choc dairy free sorbet was fantastic, and don’t forget that lemon sorbet!
EatPicLove
Such an amazing experience of delicious flavours at 7apples Gelato. With their focus on quality flavours with a simplistic menu, their location makes it a popular option in St Kilda for all gelato & sorbet needs.

I visited the 7 Apples gelato store recently and the experience was amazing. The lovely staff was so friendly and welcoming and offered a variety of flavours to try as you can taste test before you purchase because there are so many delicious flavours to choose from!
I went with the chocolate and pistachio which exceeded expectation! It was rich, not so creamy which was perfect and flavours just melt in your mouth. The ferrero rocher and peanut butter was also a popular classic you can’t go wrong with.
I definitely highly recommend this gelato venue if you want a delicious and quick sweet tooth fix and want to choose from a range of flavours.

Despite the rain, it would be impossible for me not to enter this store because their eye-catching gelato are on display!

I took awhile to decide because I was spoiled for choice! All the flavours seemed so good. I would normally go for chocolate ones but I was truly tempted by all the other flavours.

I decided to get two cones.

First cone : pistachio and cookies & cream

Second cone : cherry mania and passionfruit

I like how their gelato isn’t too sweet as well. I had a 500ml tub to take away and I chose ferrero rocher chocolate and lemon sorbet.

This is definitely a go to place for gelato. Thumbs up for the friendly staff as well.

What can be more romantic than some uber-good gelato followed by a sunset walk on the St. Kilda beach?

That's exactly what we did when we dropped by 7 Apples Gelato! As a new comer to Melbourne, I am still discovering lovable little eateries and dessert parlours all around, and 7 Apples is now high on my list.

☑️We tried a double scoop waffle come with 4 very unique gelato flavors:

1. Cherry Mania- a bright, popping pink gelato, this is a refreshing berry gelato done really well. Not too tart, just right!

2. White Chocolate & Anzac Busicuits: Get this one if you love the CRUNCH as much as I do!

3. Jaffa: This super super creamy, thick, layered, chocolate and orange gelato was my most favorite. Incredible depth of flavor and the orange-y sweetness comes through in every bite. This flavor is addicting!

4. Chocolate--- Ferrero Rocher, 'nuff said! I mean, the presentation of the gelato is immediately eye-catching, creamy Chocolate decorated by whole golden wrapped Ferrero Rochers. Perfect! If you prefer a slight less dark chocolate gelato than the Jaffa, this is the one to go with!

To Go: We took away a tub of 500ml VEGAN Chocolate Sorbet. 7 Apples offers 4 Vegan Sorbet options, but being the Chocolate lover that I am, I had to give this one a try.

Right away you notice the fudge texture of the sorbet- so thick that it's hard to believe it doesn't have dairy in it!

Made with highest quality dark chocolate they can get their hands on, the sheer decadence of the Vegan Sorbet comes from the quality rich ingredients that go into it's making.

As some who is always looking for vegan desserts, the Vegan Sorbet was a HUGE win for me and I'm definitely going to be stocking this one up in my fridge!

PS: Thank you to the beautiful smiling ladies at work that day, excellent service and that's how I learned that the St Kilda 7 Apples was established in 1991! A true local institution that I was proud to try 🌺

This place is fantastic even in winter!!! Love all the delicious flavours and location :)

We recently had the Cherry Mania & Peanut Butter Brownie which were incredible. I couldn’t resist to have mine in a waffle cone (available gluten free too) and the other in a cup.

Definitely coming back soon!!!

OK, so we may be in Winter, but if the sun's out in Melbourne it's a great excuse for some yummy gelato, and it doesn't get much better than 7 Apples. Is there anything better in a beachside suburb than a trip for icecream, and 7 Apples is in the perfect location at the beach end of Acland St. It's a cute little store, with minimal seating but there are a few tables outside on the footpath. But let's be honest, we aren't here for the decor. Gelato is for strolling around leisurely, enjoying the sunshine.

There is a cabinet filled with loads of delicious gelato and sorbets, also catering for vegans and those with dietary requirements. As we have none of those restrictions, we were free to indulge in whatever flavours we liked. We chose double scoops of cherry ripple with Ferrero Rocher, and salted caramel with pistachio and white chocolate. Each and every flavour was amazing, but I absolutely loved the pistachio... it's creamy saltiness was a real winner with the white chocolate gelato. The cherry ripple had real pieces of tart cherries through the coulis, and it was also a great contrast of flavours. The Ferrero Rocher had the rich flavours of chocolate and hazelnut, and the salted caramel was the perfect combo of sweet and salty.

It was quite busy for a winter long weekend, so I can only imagine the lines are out the door in Summer. The staff were so lovely, and more than happy to make suggestions and describe the flavours. We can't wait to return in summer to try the delicious looking fruit sorbets, which I'm sure would be perfectly refreshing on a scorcher of a day.

Oh my gosh, seriously my fav gelato place at the moment! The consistency of the gelato is thick yet not too heavy, it can even be eaten on a full stomach! My favourite flavour would have to be the Dark Chocolate Sorbet. It is to die for!! 😍

To follow me on more of my food adventures, find me on Instagram: @wendeats

7Apples opened their first store on Acland Street, St Kilda and have now spread out with stores across Melbourne - you can even hire their vintage gelato carts for events and parties - amazing!

They only use fresh, seasonal produce straight from the markets to create their handcrafted range of award winning gelato and (vegan) sorbets every day.
They have over 100 flavours in total!

The St Kilda store is in the middle of the shopping and cafe strip, so a great spot to grab a delicious cone while you're checking out the area. There was a line when we arrived but the staff are pretty efficient and we didn't have to wait long. They also do take home packs so we could enjoy our chosen flavours over the next few days. The gelato is thick and creamy and packed with flavour. I tried the berry sorbet and that was super creamy too. You'd never know it was a vegan sorbet :)
My fave was the VEGAN roasted almond gelato - fabulous!

If you’re in St Kilda, you have to get icecream! And where best but a St Kilda favourite but 7 Apples! After eating lunch and wandering around, you gotta get that sweet something! They have an array of different delicious flavours that are sure going to be a hit with even the fussiest of people! We enjoyed cookies and cream & raspberry gelato which were perfect! I want to go back are try some other flavours soon!
Daisy Never Too Sweet
St Kilda is one of those suburbs I rarely visit because its cross town from where I live. But every time I visit I love seeing the palm trees, the beach and Luna park :) after a long 5km walk at the RPSCA Million paw walk we headed to 7 apples for some Italian gelato.

I m sure anyone who’s visited Acland St before will know of or tried 7Apples. They also have gelato carts in Emporium and Chadstone. We got a mixture of milk based gelato like the Ferrero Rocher in a cone and pistachio in a cup. But what surprised me was the dark chocolate sorbet which is water based but it was full of flavour and I like to trick myself into thinking it’s healthier!
We went on a 27 degree day, which was perfect weather for Gelatos in Melbourne! I tried the Raspberry Sorbet, as I love all things fruity and let me tell you it honestly felt like I was having actual rasberries. It was soo juice and fresh! My friend tried a cookies and cream on which according to her was so creamy and indulging! I am definetly going there for seconds, thirds and fourths!

We’ve tasted a whole range of 7 Apples flavours as we have bee quite a few times due to it being having some of our favourite Ice-cream flavours such as cappuccino and cookies and cream 🍦🍦 We honestly cant get enough of their sorbet flavours too 🙏🏽🙏🏽

This is a place that you will struggle to stay away from and will recommend it to everyone to speak to!
Johnny Shabazz
Got a cone with pistachio, macadamia toffee, and the vegan roasted almond. That vegan almond was unreal. Definitely gotta try a few more. The trio nut combo worked really well I mean I know i picked it but it was awesome. Next time it’s gonna be vanilla, salted caramel and dark chocolate.
Good Food Good Mood
We were invited to 7 apples yesterday and had the opportunity to try several yummy flavours my favourite of which were the coconut and the Ferraro rocher. We loved the Ferraro so much we even got a take home tub to enjoy. Whatever the weather it’s never too cold for gelato!

Original review
7 apples is my go to ice cream spot in St Kilda as there’s nothing better than getting a cup of salted caramel and eating it outside the front of an illuminated Luna Park. Talk about atmosphere, it’s the perfect Melbourne moment. I feel like I’m doing a brief for an adverting campaign but it’s true! Go try it for yourself
Jacynda Darmawan
Super creamy! I tried the chocolate, ferrero rocher, and cookies and cream flavors. Very decadent. One of the smoothest gelato I’ve ever tasted.
MsConnoisseur
Going to keep this simple, yummy. I don’t think I have ever been disappointed with what I have selected at this gelato venue. The creme base options are super creamy the sorbets have a fresh punch of flavoring. Also they sell $2.00 bottle of water. The only other place selling water this cheap is the supermarkets. The seating option is very limited so prepare to eat and walk. Whenever we are in St Kilda this is a pit stop for our family. If you love mango this is by far my favorite place to get it.
Simmyeats.Melb
Finally got around to visiting 7 apples today, there were limited flavours (no coffee) and to be honest not sure why such a high rating.

My chocolate flavour was nice but I did try the mango to see if I wanted that and it was too creamy and not tangy at all. It’s unlikely I’ll be back.
Maria Condello
Delicious ice cream in a very, very popular area! The prices are reasonable and they pile quite a decent portion into the cup/cone.
I had the dark chocolate and coconut gelato, which together tasted like Bounty chocolate. The dark chocolate was the standout, it had a delicious, rich flavour and no bitterness.
Being summer, it was very crowded in the shop but the staff were fast. Only problem was there was no seating, they really need more outdoor tables!
Some Bunee Loves Food
Six scoops in total. The flavours were good, lots of variety and it was a hot day. Love this place in St Kilda. Bonus wafer sticks too. My favourite is the salted caramel.
Split The Bill
Probably the best gelato in St Kilda and with the best staff as well. We ordered a salted caramel gelato and it was delicious. It had a great caramel taste and it was a large serving. We will definitely visit again, thank you to all the lovely staff you made us feel at home.
Foodie
Came here on a warm Sunday. The place was full with a queue up to the street.
Thought it would take awhile to order but it was fairly quick! Was so excited to try all their flavours but couldn't pick from the wide selection as there was too many!
You can see people coming out with cones of ice cream, happily indulging every bit! Ice cream is DELICIOUS! had the strawberry gelato whilst my partner had the pistachio gelato. The strawberry is by far the best gelato I've had. Not too sweet, and you can definitely taste the fresh strawberry!
Abbey Baldacchino
Delightful amount of vegan options and chocolate sorbet worth travelling hours for!! Perfect for a hot summers day in St. Kilda. Will be back!
Ashlee
Easily the best ice cream place ever! The only place where I don’t have to try different flavours before i buy , however with 7 Apples you know any flavour you choose will be amazing and have no regret. Ordered the passionfruit sorbet, ferro rocher and raspberry and pancotta flavour between my brother and I. Great ice cream and is definitely worth the trip!!!
@lukebMelb
The go to post dinner ice cream joint in St.kilda. You can never go wrong. The only place I feel comfortable going out on a limb and ordering without trying ( because every flavour is awesome).
Sarah Zerafa
Awesome gelato! It gets really busy but definitely worth the wait. Staff were really nice and took the time to tell us about the different flavours, and were happy to give us tastes. Highly recommend!
Gelido
With three visits over the past six months, 7apples is definitely on our “happy to return” list.

All the gelato is made fresh daily in the St Kilda store from seasonal ingredients. There are over one hundred flavours in 7apples’ repertoire, with 26 flavours normally available at any time. 7apples also has two gelato carts – one at Emporium and one at Chadstone. These offer a smaller range, which usually includes 7apples’ two most popular flavours: salted caramel and Ferrero Rocher.

Over our visits we have sampled quite a few flavours and have been impressed with the consistent quality. We love the nut flavours – pistachio and hazelnut – and the dairy free sorbets are super creamy, with intense fruit flavours. But we find it difficult to go past 7apples’ dark chocolate sorbet, which is outstanding.

Not in the mood for gelato? 7apples also offers a range of fresh fruit juices and smoothies.
Nom4423
Delicious gelato at a really decent price for two scoops! I had the passion fruit sorbet and coffee crunch. My friends enjoyed: pistachio, Ferrero Rocher, Oreo, lemon and mango sorbet. I love how they give a complimentary wafer stick when you order a cup.

The lady who served us was very friendly and allowed us to try more than one flavour before deciding what to buy.

Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want to cool down on a hot day!
Stephanie Jade
I had 1 scoop salted caramel and 1 scoop Ferrero Rocher and I honestly didn’t want the ice cream to end it was that delicious and creamy. It’s that type of ice cream that makes you feel all fussy inside, I absolutely loved it!!!
Monica Nguyen
Super packed and busy especially on hot summer days!! Lots of yummy flavours to choose from + fast service, would definitely recommend getting the Ferror Rocher gelato 😍😍
Renegade
Cool little place with tasty gelato and a good selection of ice cream to choose from. To top it off it’s in a great location to kick back enjoy your ice cream and just people watch. I gave the extra half a score just because of that. 😜
La Ola Es Mia Cocina.
Tasty Tasty Tasty.

Not a lot to say about having some delicious and nicely made gelato on a hot 33 degree day, that truly hits the spot in the most perfect way possible.

Worth the visit for sure.

Prominent location .... it was busy ....
Quite warm .... There was a big event, St Kilda Motor show ....

About average cost for a two scoops, above average taste.

My girls seems to like it, so happy daughter happy dad. JT-03/09/2017.

They're good...in fact they're real good. While Espy was out Scooping up some Gelato elsewhere I decided to go to where the bigger crowds were plus I had to sit for a moment and puts plasters on my sore feet (new shoes). 7 Apples had a great range of flavours that instantly appealed. My friend and I both shared a two scoop cup of delightful creamy Gelato. It was a windy warm spring evening so we had to eat it quick before it melted... that's my excuse anyway 😜

KD

Best ice cream in Australia...

The Fererro is out of control, cheese cake it great, you guys really need to bring back the cherry rocky road I think was the name of one flavour you had over summer litterally was one of the best things ive ever eaten!!
Rodney Ho
Walked around in St. Kilda and found this little gelato there. The taste was quite good and there was some special flavour you may be interested in such as bubblegum.

Spent $5.5 for 2 scoops

The icecream here is made well, although slightly too sweet. The shop itself is located conveniently, however are serviced by staff that lack enthusiasm and are incredibly uninviting and unfriendly. I had witnessed an account of racism occurring to one of the store's customers from one of its female staff. The experience was highly unsettling and I am not sure whether I will be returning to support this behaviour.

Good variety of flavours - have not been disappointed since. Great gelato on the busy St Kilda strip. It's no wonder its so popular. Definitely worth stopping in!

I have tried on multiple occasions all sorts of flavours, some including: Ferrero Rocher, Whisky Cream (Bailey's), Banana & Dolce De Leche & Salted Caramel, Chocolate Sorbet, Strawberry - and they have all been de
licious and decadent!
DamoForce Food
Very busy store! Great location to get your fix. Plenty of options and take home tubs too. See if you can load up and get 4 scoops!! It's worth it :D
The Food Society
It’s easy to remember gelato and ice creameries during the height of summer. The crisp dry days supplanted by barmy warm nights, there is a decadence to be had from the sweet creamy goodness, chilling and soothing after a hot day. None more so than the evergreen 7 Apples in St Kilda. This mecca swarms as people stroll off the beach, the pier, Luna park and perhaps the markets. The salted caramel is well balanced, the ferrero rocher is perfect, with hints of nuts and chocolate.
Ric
Regularly come here for ice cream with friends and we always have a fantastic experience!! Service is always great and the ice cream is always amazing!!! Wide variety of flavours and the ones my friends and I have always tasted have always been suoerb!!
Most recently I had the Vanilla , cookies and cream and Hazelnut and they were all delicious !!

I went here to had gelato yesterday and unfortunately i dropped my wallet and lost it. I didn't get my wallet back but the staffs that were working were super helpful and they get back to me with a cctv video attached which was a next level customer service. I still didn't get my wallet back tho, but at least i know what happen to it. Thank you to the staffs on 02 March 2017 and Mark who gave me the cctv video. Much appreciated :)

This ice cream at this place is seriously amazing. Came here last night with a couple of friends, I got the white chocolate raspberry and the Ferraro Rocher.

They were creamy to the palette and just enjoyable to eat.

🍏🍎🍏🍎🍏🍎🍏
Sarah Loves Food
I went here with friends tonight and there was a huge line. When we finally got in they'd run out of some of the flavours. I got the Ferrero Rocher one. It was a great choice and it tasted like a Ferrero Rocher and it had chunks of Nutella. I did get a surprise chunk of what I thought to be some nut case which wasn't pleasant. My friend liked her flavours but she liked other places better and she said the coconut one was "interesting". The people who work here are nice enough. I'd love to come back and try other flavours but I might be too tempted by the Ferrero Rocher one.

Verdict: Looking for the most affordable and widest selection of gelato? You found it. Looking for the highest quality? Head across the street to Scoops.

Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere?

Seven Apples combines an ideal location with fast and friendly service, and you're sure to leave with a smile. Star Granted.

Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost?

As expensive as eating out in Australia can be, gelato is one of the most affordable treats around, and I'd gladly spend the $5.70 I ended up spending on three sizeable scoops of gelato as opposed to on a cake or cookie at one of the countless bakeries in St. Kilda. Additionally, $5.70 for a medium gets you a heftier bang for your buck than at Scoops across the street, and gets you roughly the same as Trampoline dishes up next door for $6.10:

Seven Apples Medium: $5.70
Scoops Medium: $6.00
Trampoline Medium: $6.10

Star Granted.

Stars 3 and 4: How was the food?

To be completely honest and fair, while Seven Apples is the most affordable gelato option around and offers a whopping 25 flavors (including some truly fascinating ones... Red Bull?!), the venue blurs the fine line between gelato and ice cream a bit. Possibly because they may use less sugar so that the product keeps for longer, I occasionally felt as though I was eating standard ice cream as opposed to airy, whipped up gelato akin to what is served across the street at Scoops. That having been said, it was delicious nonetheless. Single Star Granted.

Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could?

I could very easily eat quality and affordable gelato every day for the rest of my life, and I'd gladly do so at Seven Apples. Star Granted.
Traceynn
We tried the coconut and Kinder Surprise icecream $5.50. The coconut had glazed cherries in them which brought out the flavour of the coconut. The syrup was enough but I didn't enjoy the actual glazed cherries in it. The kinder was enjoyable. The icecream itself probably isn't the best icecream around (eg Pidapipo) but the location is convenient to Luna Park and the beach.
Occasionalist
Hi, I'm Occasionalist, and I enjoy long walks on the beach, deep conversation and gelato. And that was exactly how the day I visited 7 Apples panned out.

There was a bit of a line at the store, which my walking buddy assured me was "not as long as usual". So we squeezed our way forward to the glass panes and stared ... for a while. There were a lot of flavours.

I ended up choosing Turkish delight, yoghurt and salted caramel. I absolutely loved the Turkish delight and since that day, I've been craving Turkish delight constantly which is weird because it's not something I would usually want.

Can't wait to come back. Glad to know they're opening up a new store at Chadstone.
Sofie
Really, really good ice cream. The salted caramel ice cream and passion fruit sorbet are DELICIOUS. If you're in St Kilda on a hot sunny day then this is where you should go!
Game Of Scones
Before every inner city suburb had a hip ice-cream store you had 7 Apples. Still one of the best and with a location close to the beach during summer it's a must visit.
Penguineats
The ice cream itself was creamy and very smooth. Tasted exactly like hazelnut should however flavours were rather muted. The cone wasn’t the crunchiest or freshest. The flavour of the hazelnut could be a lot bolder. This was lacking both depth and strength unfortunately but still remains pleasant.

Overall an unspectacular but ‘nice’ ice cream. Definitely nothing to get too excited about but decent enough to try if you are in the area.

Okay, so y'all may know I love icecream by now and travelled to Saint kilda to try 7 apples due to high reviews.
Flavour wasn't artificial which I liked but it was a tad toooooo sweet. Really liked the Ferraro Rocher. The kinder suprise tasted like vanilla. Oreo and hazelnut are average!!

A must have when in St kilda and worth the drive when you're not! Such delicious ice cream and a great beach front location! Definitely order the 'award winning' salted caramel! You will not be disappointed!
Spirited Stardust
I tried the vegan options of strawberry and dark chocolate and they were decadently delicious but the fresh strawberries were frozen which I did not enjoy.
Yy
Best gelato place I've been to yet, and reasonably priced compared to other gelato/ice cream joints! Definitely would come back and would recommend to others.
ToorakM
Oh yum - the little one and I had the best berry gelato and salted caramel ever! So tasty, well priced and hands down the best gelato I've had. They even deliver with ubereats too if you are too lazy to venture down.

Hands down the best gelato place I've ever comprehensively eaten at (there's been a lot...) the strawberry gelato is to die for and I'm dying right now because they stopped making it a couple weeks ago because THEY CRAFT SEASONALLY and strawberries aren't in season (wail!!!) one of the VERY rare places that the listed flavours genuinely taste of the title- not a syrup sugar imitation. I now live 3 minutes away from this place so I place the blame of my recent weight gain on them. (Worth it) as a bonus the staff are friendly and they don't judge me as I feel the need to sample every new flavour. 👍🏻👌🏻

Very very good price, for some excellent gelato. A must-have gelato in St Kilda. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The flavours are amazing, they have multiple Melbourne Fine Food award-winning flavours amongst many different to choose from. Will visit again and again. Keep it up, 7 Apples!

Had the pistachio and rose water flavour. Something a bit different! Delicious!!!
Most of the flavours on offer are the usual types - chocolate ones, fruity ones, vanilla etc..
Not a massive range of options but a few to tempt. I'd definitely have the pistachio/rose water again if available.

The gelato was delicious, well priced and there was a great selection to choose from! The staff were very friendly and accommodating (watched two girls sample every flavour before choosing 🙄)!!

You can never go wrong with gelato - especially when there's a ferrero rocher flavour! Loved the pricing at 7 Apples - two scoops in a cup for $5. How can you find that anywhere else? I had the ferrero rocher & raspberry sorbet and it was amazing! Best gelato I had in a while.

DO: The salted caramel and Oreos are spectacular.

DON'T: Just stick to your favorites. Try a few of the other amazing flavours and combinations. Experiment.

TIP: The lines are long and move quickly. They have two carts. One at Westfield Doncaster Pop Up located near the bus interchange.

Absolutely delicious and award winning ice cream.. Tried 4 flavours, my favourite was the limited edition Easter bun, and salted caramel. Will be back for more..

It's only an ice cream shop ... but it's the best damned ice cream shop in Australia.
$4
Salted caramel.
Try before you die.

Get the cherry flavour. It is absolutely divine! Lots of interesting flavours to choose from. I actually rate this ice-cream as equal to if not better than Messina.

Would visit here everyday if I could. Every time I come here I'm never disappointed with new flavours every couple of weeks from snickers to coconut merrigne or the classics like chocolate or strawberry. Prices are cheap and serves are generous!

No trip to St Kilda is complete without some gelato from 7 Apples. These guys have been producing award winning gelato for years that keeps us all coming back. Plenty of usual favourites but also some on rotation. Love the salted caramel - sweet caramel goodness balanced by a good kick of salt. Well worth a visit.

What more do you want from an ice cream/gelato shop? Location doesn't get much better, close to a big park and the beach. The ice-cream is simply amazing and plenty of different flavors. Perfect afternoon on a sunny Melbourne day!

The best gelato I have had so far!!!!
I'm so bummed out that I didn't even get to take a photo!!! I was so excited to eat the damn thing I didn't get to take a pic of the gelato!!!!...... Anyway I had a small cup and with that you can have 2 scoops of ice cream- I have chosen the taro and the peanut caramel cinnamon flavour, the little mr he had the chocolate he really wanted to try out the kinder surprise flavour but he jumped back and chose chocolate, the MR he had the mango, and the dark chocolate. Well worth stopping by and trying it out!!! We shall be back!!!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Banana and Dulce was more banana than anything, chocolate was boring, but the salted caramel was sensational as was the honeycomb.

What does this mean? Well bugger all really. Melbournes best gelato and gelato bars are all very good, it's personal preference in what you like more than another or than someone else that makes the difference but you can tell, here, like at 5 other bars like this that I could rattle off names for, the base product is very good and they know what they are doing.

So why 4.5 out of 5, well outside of Italy I haven't had a 5 star gelato or gelati and these are very good. So it's well deserved. In Melbourne with these places you really can't go wrong and to bad mouth a gelato place like this is just being pathetic and petty. Just enjoy and enjoy why you're there.

Best gelato in Melbourne. Unlike Messina, they stick to the basics. Banana, Ferrero Rocher and Hazelnut are all delicious, not that you could go wrong with any of their flavours.

Recently tried the Turkish Delight and it is delicious (as expected)!

Salted caramel! One of the best in Melbourne. They served food quality of ice cream with a good price. And the staffs are well serviced. Will like to come back more before then winter arrive.

Located towards the end of Acland Street and Shakespeare Grove, 7 Apples has some pretty awesome flavours and shakes. I combo'd Peppermint and Salted Caramel in a cup and really enjoyed it! They also chuck in a small wafer. Warning for parents: if you get a waffle cone be aware that the ice cream can melt quickly! : )

A great shop that has a constant flow of people coming in. The salted caramel was to die for! Although, if you are a sorbet fan, the passion fruit is highly recommended.

It's a hot summer day, much like any other in Australia. Steam rises from pavement as as people pass by, sunburnt and dehydrated.

Then there it is, amongst the cafe's and cake shops. Oh yes this reads like a stereo-typical montage. All that is missing some the cheesy musical backing.

No actually, what is missing is the kid, plastered with their head and hands against the glass waiting for their scooped ice -cream. This of course followed by icy flavoured goodness. Finished off with sticky fingers and a smile.

Okay cliche montage over

Fantastic gelati. Not quite as many flavours as Messina gelati, but just as creamy and tasty. The passion fruit - nice and tart. Rum and raisin - rich and creamy.

Great ice cream. Probably the best in st Kilda . I love that you can add fresh fruit with it! Nice and fresh. Prices are also good and serve generous!
PEKISH
One of the better gelato places in the St Kilda area. A range of different flavors, as well as some traditional ones. Reasonably priced & serving sizes are good. This place is really popular, especially in the warmer months so get ready to line up. Very refreshing on a warm day/night

The original MVPS. Been having their gelato since I was 8 and it's still has sweet and great quality has before. Flavors are really nice. One of the best in St.Kilda if not the best.
Linda Norman
Slow service and only one person serving, but prices were better than usual and the ice cream was really good. We got a big tub with 3 flavours for a really good price since I was with 3 other people.

Love 7 apples. Summer or Winter. The premises are clean and the variety of flavours on offer are delicious. I have to say that ferrero is my favourite.

7 Apples, located across the street from Gami, serves great gelato, some of which won awards at the Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards. We bought the large cup which came with a choice of 4 flavours ($7). ...The Banana Dulce de Leche was great, but the Ferrero Rocher was unanimously the best out of the four (From what the staff says, it also happened to be the most popular flavour at 7 Apples).

This is my favourite place to come for Gelato.

SInce first getting introduced to Salted Caramel; 7 Apples make this absolutely to perfection. They have got the balance just right.

7 Apples simply sell gelato, smoothies, shakes and juices. You can't go wrong with these guys.

Rating out of 5 (5 being the highest):
Food – 4
Ambience – 4
Presentation – 3
Service – 4
Environment – 3

Beautiful gelato. One of the best gelato I've ever had! Price is very reasonable as well. Can be very busy on a nice night, but it's worth the wait. Can't wait to get it again!

Gelato is Italian ice cream which is low in fat and sugar. It is found all over Melbourne. I signed up online for their free membership and scored a free ice cream. Yay!So I had my favourite strawberry and lemon gelato in a cup. And boy were they nice. I loved the little flake in the ice cream. Heavenly.
