Review Sorsi E Morsi - St Kilda

A late Saturday night dinner. We ordered the zucchini flowers and scallops for starters and two spaghetti and gnocchi for mains. The scallops were tiny but tasted okay. The zucchini flowers seemed to be battered quite thick and were a bit soggy by the time we got them. All three mains were generally under seasoned though the flavours were there. The duck ragu tasted more like chicken though the gnocchi was very light.

Super cozy and a uniquely happy vibe in this place. The menu is interesting and a very friendly staff. The best seat is bang opposite the coffee machine, the cozy corner we sat in. The coffee and fresh orange juice was fresh. Delicious gnocchi funghi and Oratana panini. It’s usually very popular and so busy all through the day. One last brekkie here before we leave for home tomorrow 😀

Delicious sandwiches with yummy vegan fillings, quick service and friendly staff, nice place to hang with a coffee or a bite, definitely coming back.

It used to be top notch. It's taken a hit since the pandemic. Hopefully it improves - the food has gone down hill. It seems the chefs and cooks might has lost their touch. There was a highlight, the risotto - very good.

Amazing food, great service and the coffee and juices as delicious. It’s always busy here, try to get a table outside if you can, if not, enjoy the ambience of the busy kitchen, the laughter and chatting of staff with their customers and enjoy the beautiful decor- see the roof... love

Disappointed to say the least, came here because of rave article in the Age. Was not greeted at all, told I could only sit outside as they were doing photos & kitchen was closing in 5 minutes. It was 3pm, what a way to win repeat business!! Don’t think I will bother returning, publicity photos are obviously more important than customers

Iconic charging place. Great brekky but you need to be chill and have patience and low expectations for service. Service often sucks... seems like staff still waking up and would rather go back to sleep ...often takes forever to be served.
