Love the Vinyard! Friendly cool staff. Very funky place! Sunday sessions are the best! Coming back for the $5 shots! Very good attraction for Sunday’s :-) love it 😍
This is the rock music venue Melbourne needs to cherish and never let go! Had a great time here last night. Love the upbeat vibe of the staff and great range of drinks. Love the couches and other furniture on the stage and the lighting of the place gave it so much character. Big thank you to everyone for a great night. Can't wait to come back. 🙂
We have had our work Christmas Party at the Vineyard pretty much for the last 8 years, they are always amazing, staff are always friendly and the service is fast. Its a place where you can just relax and be who you want to be without any bullshit!
The Bloody Mary was amazing! The food, setting and service was an added bonus. Will definitely revisit all of the above on my next Melbourne trip. Will recommend to friends
Honestly that was the best Vineyard experience I can recall on Saturday night and I've been to some classic Vineyard day and night sessions! What a crowd who respect and lived the music respect!
Waren schon das Zweite mal dort und wieder super happy. Das essen ist genial, Service super nett und die live Music mach Spaß!!! Wir kommen wieder
Awesome Grungy Berlin Bar atmosphere with live rock music is pumping!!! Good food cocktails & Melbourne Longies nothin wrong with havin a King Brown or three!!!
Eclectic crowd, great food, funky wait staff. Loved it.
Steak amazing, oysters fab, calamari tasty. Attentive staff, just what you want in St. Kilda
No wonder it’s been here forever..
Just came here for drinks Monday night. Bartenders were all really nice, had a couple of wines which were good and then a cheesecake cocktail which was yum! Good spot for a drink and a dance!
Really nice atmosphere .....
Very extensive range of drink to choose from ... ....
on the St Kilda beach promenade ...
We only had drinks...
A great spot for a lazy afternoon session. Sitting outside in the sunshine with a bevie, good St Kilda vibes and people watching - can't get much better than that. Very laid back which I like, only the 1 bar which can take some time to get a drink when it's very busy. I have been here on a Saturday night too, the place turns into a club with DJ and dance floor. These days I do prefer the afternoon drop by, I'll leave the dance moves to the youngies lol
Had a wonderful visit here, it's so relaxed. The decor is beautiful, drinks are well priced and the staff are ace! We visited on a Wednesday evening and there was plenty of space to sit however we do walk past most weekends and it's rammed!
Vineyard from your delicious Bloody Mary tailored to your level of spice to the yummy oyster shots
I love your location your staff and the locals that gather here
Love this place. It's so nice to sit outside in the sun with a glass of wine, some oysters and with the birds chirping in the nearby palm trees: Ultimate St Kilda experience. My dog is allowed to sit with me in the courtyard and he loves the attention from the staff and other customers. Drinks are reasonable priced but food is overpriced.
Great place, good wine and a really nice outside area! Good heathers to keep you warm. Service was also great! I would definitly go back there again.
Just like whole vibe at this place. It's cool and relaxing. Just order, eat, drink and chat. It's that simple.
Like your at home with mates.
I love the Panko chicken.
First came here over five years ago and while it was a more cooler place to go back in the day when there was less variety to chose from it still boasts a premium location in the heart of St Kilda. It's the perfect spot for a weekend lunch with friends or on this occasion for lining the stomach with some share plates before a night of drinking on a Friday after work. The calamari is all kinds of deliciousness as was the crusty bread to accompany the dips. Sometimes simple is best
the best part I thought was the food enjoyed it cool dive bar and can drink long necks plus they have a dart machine so I can punish some darts after I smash me long necks great Wednesday morning
Details: A very small hip bar in a fantastic location in St kilda. Great cocktails and fantastic vibes. Would recommend for a Sunday afternoon summer drink sitting outside!
Service: Never had a problem with the staff here. They were quite prompt to bring my mum and I our cocktails 🍸😎
Wouldn't go back on a regular basis purely because there are so many awesome bars in St kilda that definitely compare!
Stopped in for a drink before dinner reservations on Saturday night. It wasn't too busy inside however with no-one greeting is we took a seat at a table and checked the menus. The waitress was quick to take our drink orders however left my cocktail sitting at the bar for 10 minutes once it was made.
The cocktail itself was delicious-White chocolate and passionfruit martini.
Bar staff were very nice too.
One of the first things you will see as you drive into Acland St. Potentially has the best location on the strip. Good place to catch up and have some drinks with mates. Food is a bit of a lucky dip though.
Great st Kilda stalwart. Oyster shooter did not disappoint. The small plates were decided on. My companion ordered the soup of the day, pumpkin with some carrot shards, and a coconut milk flavour. Was pronounced very good. I was greedy and ordered the salt and pepper calamari and the mushrooms as separate dishes. Both very good. Wine was reasonably priced. Gear venue to visit before going to Memo music club. Winner all round.
Great place for drinks on acland st. Wait staff are friendly and laid back. Came here for dinner and drinks Thursday night and was served by Hannah. She was super nice and chatty and made our night 👍keep up the good work :)
One of my favourite sunday spots, great cocktails i recommend the hazelnut caprioska! good outside table service from the girls, and just a good vibe the shepherds pie is delicious but be patient it comes out like molten lava good things come to those who wait!
I'm here from the States for six months, living in a serviced apartment on Southbank. But every Monday that I'm in town, I hop the 96 tram and head to the Vineyard for steak night. For the measly sum of 20 AUD, I feast on a perfectly seasoned and cooked Scotch Filet (rib eye), chips (fries) or steamed veggies if I'm feeling healthy, salad, and a glass of the house red. Plus, as a bonus, I get to watch the sunset over the Pacific (no up charge for the sunset). And the service is friendly and attentive. A no-brainer 5 star experience.
A St Kilda icon , we have been here a number of times for drinks and have never had a bad experience. Good option for a drink before or after dinner.
I don't know why the bad reviews.... The food is fair, and well priced. The beers are cheap. $10 for a long-neck (750ml), how can you complain wen most pubs charge $10-14 for a pint?
As for the crowd, you get all sorts, if you are looking for an up-market restaurant, dont come here, the vineyards have never claimed to be anything other than what they are - a chilled out pub, in an awesome location.
The food is always amazing here. The eye fillet was incredible. We went in a group of 10 and staff were great with us. Regular drinks were coming through and the staff continually kept coming us checking if everything was ok.
Disaster!. Great steak, terrible waiting staff, an overly manic manager/owner, but, hey! they are packed most nights. Must be doing something right.
Edit: 20/12/2015. Just been back and, knowing what was in store, actually quite enjoyed the madness.

This is a place you come to meet mates, have a laugh, have a few drinks, listen to music, have "a feed" and watch the world go by.
We have spent the last few weeks in some of Melbournes great bars – most of them with intimate lighting that results in shocking pictures! But if you did fancy a adventure one night you might like to try some of these beauties! House of Maximon We have been hanging out in Corrs Lane for a long time, over the years we have seen many a good night in Fad Gallery, Euro Trash, Berlin Bar and some late night eats in Ants Bistro. But like all good spots they change and evolve and just below Berlin Bar is the eclectic, dark and fun House of Maximon. With the smell of popcorn wafting through the door and pumping music you can grab a booth or private little alcove and enjoy reasonable priced beers, a reasonable wine and I have no doubt some substantial tequilas! The Red Hummingbird A old favourite with a great rooftop for the warmer months and an intimate and cosy style The Red Hummingbird is a great little bar to kick back and enjoy. Strangely only serving Gossips wine the night we were there….
Visiting from Adelaide. Fantastic place with beautiful female staff. Very welcoming and happy to chat and tell me what's around St. Kilda. Nice food too. Will be coming back next time visiting melbourne.

Excellent all-round. Quiet Wednesday afternoon for lunch. Service was prompt and waiter was extremely friendly. Food was fresh, tasty and well cooked. The lamb cutlets were amazing and the sauces that complimented our food were equally impressive. Big shout out to the calamari and chorizo salad - incredible. Prices were reasonable too. Will return in future.
The Bloody Mary's here would have to be the best in Melbourne, delicious!!
Good drinks. Great atmosphere. Great location. Horrible staff.
Terrible service, but the mushroom and lentil stew was freaking amazing. I dream about it! If you can get past the terrible service, the food is quite good.
Awesome. This is the place you wanna be in. I found Melbourne when I found this joint. Great atmosphere. It ain't anal, it ain't pretentious. The staff are approachable. The perfect meeting place for a good night out. I went for a drink in the afternoon and left the next morning. And i'll be back again.
Home away from Home. I love the Vineyard, always have, always will. Great food, great music, great people watching. Can't go wrong.
Martini espressos on the fly, well done Mr Barman 10/10. You can't beat random creativity.
Loved it! We Were seated straight away by a friendly waitress. Food and drinks served quickly. I had the chicken Caesar salad and it was lovely!
Fantastic.... Service, food everything brilliant
Had always walked past this place just thinking it was a beer garden, but decided to stop for a meal before seeing a show at The Palais. What a great experience! Despite being fairly busy staff member walked right up, big smiles and seated us. Every waiter/waitress was friendly. Vibe in the restaurant - electic, romantic, I loved it. Food is better than average and well priced and I am saying this as a usually critical person. Thank-you The Vineyard for a surprisingly wonderful experience!!

It's a good spot for a drink or two on a sunny afternoon! Food is average, it's the service which is a problem. Wouldn't hurt the staff to smile once in awhile!
Ok, but not a stand-out. I've had a couple of Sunday afternoons here over a few drinks and have enjoyed it. Last night was the first time eating here. Very busy, but staff made a real effort to find a table for our group of four. Service was quick, which was appreciated as we were running a bit late for a show at the Palais. Food was above average without any of us being particularly impressed - I've had far worse but there is better locally at a similar price point. Overall, I'll go back for those weekend afternoon drinks and snack food, but probably not for a meal.
We went heare with our kids food portions are bit small but good food owner was available for chat that was fantastic atmosfeare is greate loved it my kids loved it too must try love it live it plan to take my friends there
The best in stkilda. If you are after the real St Kilda experience this is where you go, great food easy going atmosphere. Very easy to end up spending your whole day there with noticing
The Vineyard. Went here a little while ago for dinner and drinks for a friends birthday. My friend had no trouble at all booking a few tables in our own area, which was a relief after first trying to book at Big Mouth down the road and finding it difficult. The staff were super helpful, although they made a bit of a mistake with one of the orders on my table, but they rectified it as quickly as possible. I had the salmon (fish of the day) which was fantastic, could not fault it. We also had dips and garlic bread to share on the table which were great but could be a bit more generous when they are meant to be shared. My friend had the lentil casserole, which i helped her finish haha, also fantastic considering it was vegetarian. I was ordering lime and sodas but they kept making the mistake of giving me lemon lime and bitters but oh well, overall a good night!
Was looking for an early dinner. Hadn’t booked and got squeezed in. Great atmosphere, loved our food and great service. Even spent time with the owner learning the history of this lovely venue. Thanks for squeezing us in.
Had the best night ever!!!! Staff were so friendly and the new menu is so incredible….. was meant to go home after dinner but then the band started!!! Worth the hangover! I’ll be back guys! Thank you
Such a cool place, DJ on Sundays plays the best house music. He rocked the place.

The old faithful that never loses its St.Kilda charm. People will walk past thinking the food would not be good and some interesting locals may not appeal. Don’t do it - walk in sit inside or out and enjoy the iconic bar. The food is surprisingly good and the bar service is always upbeat. Sitting outside in the warmer months is the best - sit back relax and enjoy some small share dishes and a few beers and watch the passing parade. Tourists - make sure you visit.
Always happy to get saucy here
The food was superb! The best eye fillet steak I’ve had in a long time. We really enjoyed eating here and definitely will return. The restaurant it’s self was pretty cool and had a unique style. Loved it!
