Monarch Bakery - St Kilda - Photo album

Monarch Cakes has got to be one of my absolute favourite Cake Shops in Victoria hands down! With so much history and expertise how could anyone not fall in love with Monarch Cakes.. its like going back in time as soon as you step through the door, I Highly Recommend Monarch Cakes. 🍮🍰🎂🍪🍩🫖☕️☕️☕️
this cake shop has been here for a long time, I walked in for a piece of French vanilla slice, the flavors was average. The price was high. $7 per one. The shop was old, small and crowded, staff was just doing simple taking orders, that’s it. And all the desserts are of old school (to be frank, UGLY
Been in the family for a long time. They take great pride in their cakes. Had the Polish Cheesecake and itvwas very ice. Shame it is so far from where I live in Brisbane
Best poppy seed cake and gugelhupf I’ve ever had. The poppy seed cake reminds me of how my late grandma used to make it, so it’s incredibly special to me. Please, never change Monarch.
These legends probably do the best Gugelhupf. Second close will be the Polish cheesecake, and almost 3 out of 5 times it turns out to be consistent. But, other than that, we found other desserts / cakes too sweet for our palate.
I am Polish, born and raised. I just want to make everyone aware that what this shop sells is NOT Polish cheesecake. Not even remotely. What they sell is a standard Sara Lee/New York cheesecake. This is totally unlike Polish cheesecake and I wish they wouldn’t misrepresent it. Or besmirch the good
Beautiful to look into their windows. Incredible cakes and variety
