Review Toscani's - St Kilda

Ask any Australian / Melbournian abot Monroe's Burger and Beers and they will only one adjective 'Excellent', unanimously. Monroe's need no introduction like legends need no fame. Ever since they have started they have, time and again, reinvented themselves, successfully grown and have efficiently served best burgers. Very recently, they have opened a branch in St Kilda, and why would we have waited to visit them? Also, they provide Zomato Gold membership privileges. Ordered their Special burger of the day but a smaller version that had onion ring, beef patty cooked to medium, mayo, etc and a Chicken Burger. Can easily declare, both the burgers can be easily adjudged as the Dishes of the Day. Flavours, juicest meat and beautiful dressings. Service could be little slow but food and happy attendants make-up for the long wait. Even when the special 'Burger of the day' does not qualify for the Zomato Gold Offer, the manager was quite accommodating and happy to include it into the offer. That's 'service' when one hasnt able to clarify the offer clearly. Vegans / Vegetarians do not have plenty to choose from. Prices are quite decent for the quality you pay for. Definitely returning again.

Monroe’s in my opinion have the best burgers in Australia, I’m never disappointed in the quality and delicious flavours! If you want a life changing burger you owe it to yourself to check this place out. Southern fried chicken and double beef is the way to go 👌
Grugs Burgers
Quality burgers every time I’ve visited and the sides are amazing as well. Great service and great selection of craft beers because beers and burgers are perfect together

OH. MY. GOD!!! This may be the BEST burger I've ever eaten! Juicy, flavoursome, chock full of gorgeous ingredients - and not so huge that you can't stomach it. I had the Hawaiian Swine and my husband had the Classic, both fabulous, especially washed down with a $10 jug: what's not to love?

Fantastic! We went there with 2 friends from Sydney and this place made me feel proud of my choice. The platter with their best 4 entrees was espectacular! Full of different flavours and very generous in terms of meat variety. It was Sunday and they had a happy hour with $6 wine, pints and basic spiritz. My main dish, a parmeggiana, was tasty and gigantic. Besides great food and good prices, the staff was efficient and made us feel at home. We will be back soon.

I went to last Friday for dinner with my friends. This is the first time. I didn't expect but It was fantastic. We ordered chef's dip plate, spicy seafood pasta and supreme pizza. Bread is so crispy and yummy. And pasta and pizza are best. We really enjoyed.
I was so impressed with food. Also service was fantastic . It was such a great place to visit for dinner. When I go to St Kilda next time, I will be back next time.

Didn't like anything about Toscanis. The pasta was too cheesy, bland and it just didn't taste good. I only enjoyed my glass of wine and the outside view.

The customer service is a DISGRACE. Had to cancel the order. The manager needs to serve drinks in appropriate glasses following AUSTRALIAN STANDARDS and learn how to talk to customers. Serving a $14 Piña colada in a Martini glass is unacceptable (RIP-OFF).
I have attached photos of both drinks mentioned above served in the usual appropriate glasses... Learn.

Went there to have pizza which we enjoyed last time. Ordered Pinacolada's which was served in a Martini glass. Apparently that's the Toscanis STANDARD!!! The manager was EXTREMELY RUDE and we ended leaving the restaurant. Very bad attitude.
Good Manners are an important thing to learn. Having good manners means acting in a manner that is socially acceptable and respectful.

We ordered 2 pizzas at Toscani's last week and really enjoyed them and decided to go there for dinner today.
Unfortunately, our experience there was terrible. We ordered some pizzas and pinäcoladas and were very surprised to be served the pinacolada in a martini glass. When we mentioned it to the guy (who appeared to be the owner), he was quite rude to us stating "this is how we serve a pinacolada in Australia and if we are not happy we should order something else".
We told him that he doesn't have to talk to us in such a way and should be more polite to his customers. He told us that we should "calm down".
We decided to leave and canceled the rest of our order.
Good pizza, really really bad customer service.
where to begin! this place should be embarrassed what an absolute disgrace to the industry without a doubt the worst breakfast of my life! ordered the classic omelette with toast what a disgusting mess whole slices of ham bunched together unsliced tomato that was old and off had to send the monstrosity back! the toast was like a cheap crumbly loaf of bread coffee was lukewarm and revolting. needless to say they still insisted i pay! owner was in complete denial. do yourself a favour AVOID!!!

Went today for lunch. It was busy due to being New Years Day but waiting 40 mins for a burger and a beef salad is excessive. Food was average. Burger pattie was cold and in pieces on the bun. Only good thing was coffee.

Yesterday my friend and me, coming from Germany and having vacation in Melbourne, went to Toscani's and had an amazing dinner. I had the spicy seafood pasta and my friend enjoyed a delicious chicken wrap with fries. We were really happy about our decision to go there because food was great, prices were in a fair relation, staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was really nice too.
Definetely can recommend Toscani's and probably will go there again during our stay because they had a wide choice of different dishes !

I was visiting Melbourne last month and one night myself and a friend went down to St.Kilda where we ended up at Toscanis for dinner. To say the food was a disappointment is an understatement. Although the service was nice enough, and sitting outside on the strip made for great atmosphere and vibe, it was definitely not worth paying for the food.I ordered the chicken and bacon risotto, and I am not entirely sure what I was served, but it was definitely not risotto. At best, I could say it came out as more of a paella, but even then it was still not that delicious. Further to that, it was advertised as a chicken and bacon risotto, but only had three small pieces of chicken mixed in amongst cold clumpy rice. My friend ordered the porterhouse, and despite ordering as medium, came out closer to rare and was not of great quality. He only made it through about half of his dish before he had to give it away. The only saving grace was that there was a Grill'd down the road, so we didn't go hungry for the night!!I have never written a restaurant review before, but I was so disappointed with what we were served that I was compelled to submit a review. If you are visiting Melbourne and hitting up the St.Kilda strip, be sure to choose any restaurant along the strip for dinner other than Toscanis.

11 am on a Sunday, coffee was mediocre, staff didn't provide table service then proceeded to not know where to take any of the food, offered us the wrong food and offered ours to somebody else.

Went for dinner with my friend here and it was honestly the best meal I've had in a while!! I had the Cajun Chicken burger which was superb and my friend had the Carbonara which she thoroughly enjoyed!
We both shared the Grilled haloumi skewers and we couldn't believe how amazing they were ! If you are coming to eat here, You MUST order the grilled haloumi skewers!! :)

Came here yesterday for dinner with my boyfriend. We ordered lamb shank and grilled chicken wrap. Both foods are so delicious and the price are reasonable too. They also have variety of wine that we can't find in the retail shop, which really worth the try. Overall, a fantastic experience we have with the great food and romantic great environment.! Definitely come back second time for other great dishes!!

Hey guys
Just checked out the new Toscani restaurant in Acland st St Kilda
Its there first store in Melbourne and Wow what a site Love the cool fitout especially the yellow coffee machine .very retro:)
Staff are very attentive as the manger seems really focused Plus the menu prices are very reasonable considering we are in Acland street Tried the Italian meatballs with napoli sauce , cooked just right with caramelized onions . Finished with a nice chilled glass of Mcguigan 7000 Chardonnay which hit the spot Great to see a great choice of wines which are most often not available in Melbourne ..
Overall thumbs up to the whole crew
Im so glad they opened a store in Melbourne saves me flying to Brisbane haha:)

Dropped in for lunch yesterday, would not bother going back. Service was super slow, over 45 mins for salad and a wrap. My lamb wrap was missing half the ingredients listed and the lamb was chewy gristle. Terrible. They have a lot to do to keep up with the st kilda market.
