Held a company reunion for 40 guests on the Rooftop of the St Hotel on Saturday 16th February from 12.00 (noon) onwards.  Daniel (Event Co-ordinator) went out of his way to ensure that our function was fabulous and the waitstaff, in particular Zim, were so attentive and friendly.  The finger food was delicious.  Highly recommend the St Hotel.  Thanks for making our day so special.  Serena

Greek menu has replaced the awesome Thai cuisine they used to serve but it wasn't bad either.

Portions and meat quantity was good enough and except the Jackfruit (Open) Souvlaki, Charred Prawn, Lamb and Chicken Souvlaki were awesome.

We could have easily ordered a bowl of simple fries but the description of the vegetarian loaded fries were too tempting and misleading. Jackfruit Souvlaki was so freaking sour that we almost didn't finish it had we not been so hungry.

Predominantly a Bar where you go to.have few drinks but not a bad place for a quick lunch or dinner.

Decent choice for Vegans and Vegetarians but not sure of the taste

Attendants can be little inattentive but that doesn't hinder much.

Had a Christmas lunch with my girlfriends here on the weekend......
We were all really happy with food, cocktails, atmosphere and service was impeccable!! The staff went above and beyond we will be going back!! 
There appears to have been a change in management and it is certainly for the better!

A definite must if you love a pub meal !! It's classy without being to toffee.. staff are down to earth and Wednesday night steak night is worth it . Great value , great food and gorgeous looking room .

We had our baby shower lunch here yesterday. Couldn't say anything bad about the staff or the food at the Saint Hotel. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and we were able to play our own music as well as decorate the table how we like. The staff member who looked after us was extremely helpful, we thank the Saint Hotel for a wonderful day.

Cocktails were just fair Turkish delight and pomegranate mojito . The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating though. Very loud and crowded (Saturday night) . Nice fun atmosphere however

Great cocktail list, great decor and great food.
I recently had my birthday here and the value for money we got for dinner was ridiculous and the food was all fantastic. I was able to chose a menu that included the below for $50pp and the servings were so generous we literally couldn't finish it (and we really wanted to)

3 x MAIN - individual
Would really recommend functions like birthdays here as it was so easy to organise unlike most venues which charge cakeage and much higher set costs per person

The Burrata dish at St Hotel was divine. Wood roasted jamon wrapped buffalo mozzarella with wild mushrooms and bitter leaves. Paired with a 2015 La La Land Pinot Gris. Stunning! Just one of the amazing dishes on St Hotels reinvented European inspired menu. Beautiful, relaxed interior defiantly differentiates the venue from an old school pub vibe. The Beautiful Smoked Ocean Trout rillettes with rye crisps and Yarra Valley caviar, started off a lovely meal at St Hotel. The Elderflower Pannacotta with Blueberries and Lemon at St Hotel paired with a beautiful glass of 2015 Borgo Moscato d'Asti by Red and White Australia was a Lovely and indulgent way to end the night. So much inspiration and creativity comes out of the St Hotel kitchen. A must visit in St Kilda.

I had a lovely time at the Saint Hotel. The starters were delicious. The halloumi, soft shell crab sliders and the (croquettes although can't remember if that was the name.) The flavour combinations were a great intro for the mains. The beef was cooked well and the calamari with the ink aoli!Yum! There is a band that plays Sunday night and we were pre warned it is quite loud so perhaps would opt for a quieter time slot. I'm not sure why people have complained about service. Had very friendly attentive staff and excellent service. Worth a visit.

The last time I was at the St. Hotel in St Kilda, the gorgeous old building (which has been in the neighbourhood since 1915) was packed rafter to rafter with people, lining up for Asian bites from St Hotel and a range of other restaurants as an event. . Although it was fun, it was hectic, so when I had an opportunity to revisit the St. Hotel to try their new European bar and dining menu, I was certainly keen to check out what head chef Ben Isaacs had to offer.

Go for a Wednesday Steak Night and it's definitely worth it! The service was still good considering there was a large group there at the same time.

Talking about the huge steak(600g)! You pay $55 for 2 pots and that steak! Yummmmmm

I went for the Steak Frites (which appears to have vacated the menu), but ended up with the hangar steak. Being a frites fiend, I was initially disappointed, but going with the waiter's recommendation was a good move. Tender, charcoaley, with a rocket and radish salad, and remoulade, it was the perfect lazy Sunday lunch. The venue was surprisingly quiet and the wait staff were genuine and attentive without being overwhelming. Sides of Waldorf slaw, fries, and the pepper sauce. Would recommend for a group lunch - plenty of room and reasonably priced.

Comprising of the downstairs Public Bar St Hotel and Dining Room, upstairs bespoke drinking with the Supper Club and Social Club, the St. Hotel has it all! St Hotel's 1kg 200 day John Dee grain fed rib eye was beautifully tender and flavoursome.  The accompaniments to the steak were each delicious – wonderfully flavoured jus and the dressed rocket provided a thoroughly enjoyable freshness.  Of course, the true highlight was the giant rib eye itself  – a light searing ensured that it was lined with a thin crisp, caramelised exterior.  The meat was intense with a deep earthy richness and sublime texture.

Undergoing an revamp and rebranding in 2014, St Hotel is a multi-story European bar and resaturant featuring menus by Head Chef Ben Isaacs. A big focus of the food menu revolves around their ironbark wood-fired BBQ, and Australian pasture and grain-fed beef prepared in their bespoke barbeque are their pride and joy. As well as the spacious main dining room and bar area, multiple private spaces and bars upstairs are available for use.

The Saint hotel has gone through a couple of "refurbishments" the past couple of years.  This time, I think they've nailed it.  Chef Ben Isaacs has created decadently moorish food that can be enjoyed as a group or more intimately if you prefer.
There is a sophisticated feel to the decor, and once you've eaten, you can continue to enjoy some more drinks upstairs.  In particular this place takes off on a Friday and Saturday night.   My favourite was the buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto.  As well as the mac & cheese side.  I left feeling extremely satisfied and happy with a wonderful evening!

Fantastic food and very accommodating. The new menu takes the dining experience to a new level.  I was lucky enough to try the vegan/vegetarian menu which included a mushroom dish that was out of this world.

Definitely a must try for all south siders!

St Hotel or ‘the saint’ as some may know it, is a bit of an institution in St Kilda. It continues to be a place for people to eat tasty food and drink quality beverages. They recently launched a new European bar and bistro menu with chef Ben Isaacs running the kitchen. Quality produce cooked to perfection and a well-known institution reinvented.

I came here for the new European menu launch. Great atmosphere and food. My pick would be to order something from the wood fired BBQ menu. We had the chateaubriand which was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the honey + thyme roasted purple carrots and the cauliflower + Gruyere Mac n cheese.

Tried the new European menu for dinner all courses paired w wines that compliment your meal @redandwhite_au
Elderflower pannacotta w blueberries & lemon was really nice and creamy but the top layer was overly too sweet for me.
Plenty of meat options for those carnivores
They also had a lot of pescatarian options Crumbed pacific oysters amazing 😍👍🏻
Parmesan cheese balls were very good
And for the main I had the barramundi which was Perfect.
Mac and cheese was decadently good.
Great place for great dinner out.
Dessert wine was really enjoyable

Had a lovely dinner here last night with the girls. The food was amazing. We shared some entrees and mains and the stand outs were the soft shell crab sliders, the lamb rump me the wagyu. We told them we were sharing and to our surprise everything came out positioned for us with individual plates of salad and accompaniments. Most chefs wouldn't ever do that and was so thou toil of the team to arrange that. Looking forward to going back when I'm in town again.

I'm not sure why the hotel doesnt show up when you search for dinner venues in the area, but it must! Absolutely loved the food, most interesting menu in a long time, ox cheek, soft-shell crab sliders, calamari with Hummus, mozzarella and fig ! Recommend them all. The only issue are the portions, its misleading that they are in large sharing platter section but actually the size of an appetizer which is why I have deducted half a point. Other than that its a great place, really cool interiors and perfect to just go up to the bar after dinner and not have to uber to another place:)

The revamp of the saint has left the place with a really on trend and cool vibe, it's a little similar in layout to the Richmond club hotel. I had the banquet here, it's pretty good value at only $46 per person. I really liked the watermelon and barramundi salad in particular. The rest was quite good too, but not quite as good as your chin chin or Lucy Liu etc.

Lovely atmosphere, great decor and super friendly staff. Had a variety of appetizers and slowly picked away whilst soaking up the venue. We dropped in at around 4pm on a Sunday evening and the place was relatively quiet.

Highly recommend the pulled pork buns - which were off-the-charts.

Will definitely head back!

Came here with a party of 8 and everything was fantastic. Our waitress was bubbly and helpful, the food was delicious and they were on the ball with all my intolerances which can be a nightmare sometimes. The decor is really cool only fault is that it was a little bit dark inside and couldn't really have a conversation without yelling but otherwise amazing!

We started with the Chopped Flinders Island scallops, tamarind vinegar, and radish. A simple and tasty starter that was packed with flavour, we particularly loved the tamarind zing which added interest.The Kingfish was excellent. Displaying technique and skilful restraint, the kingfish was beautifully presented and accompanied by a citrus-based marinade that cured the kingfish. It was a wonderful mélange of salinity, sweetness and acidity.

My reasons for going to the Saint Hotel in St. Kilda have definitely changed dramatically over the past few years. This comes down to a lot of reasons, mainly being I no longer need to sneak into places with a fake ID, but also because this place has actually had quite a transformation itself. I feel like this place is kind of growing up with me, and I absolutely love it.

After 2 and a half year renovation, The Saint Hotel now not only serves as a great place to head for a drink at night, but has thrown a Thai food menu into the mix.  While maintaining the heritage exterior, the interior has been stripped back to bare brick, glass and moulded concrete, with simple light wood fittings. The main dining area is absolutely stunning, with a high glass ceiling letting in the natural sunlight and warmth. Gorgeous plantations hang from the walls, giving the space a fresh, inviting, island-like feel, whilst maintaining its long-established pub vibe. I almost felt like I was in a tropical butterfly enclosure.

They also serve Asian inspired cocktails which are super tasty and refreshing. Featured below:

-THE FLUFFY POM: Camomile gin, St Germsin elderflower liqueur, Lillet Blanc, lemon, honey, egg whites, orange blossom
-TROPIC THUNDER: Belvedere vodka, Doamine Canton ginger liqueur, lychee syrup, lemon- grass, lemon, pineapple juice

I absolutely loved everything on this menu, the satay sauce is probably one of the best I have ever tasted. So get around the Saint guys, its undeniably blossomed into a magnificent butterfly.

On every Sunday, St Hotel lays out a thai banquet to help soak up the excesses of Saturday night. We sauntered down to have a taste. Marinated pork Skewers with nahm jim jaew. The Pork was juicy and rich with a touch of sweetness and a good tang. The sauce had a bitter edge that cut through the pork bringing a little heat and a great spice.

I'm in love with St. Kilda all over again!
The interior of the building has been beautifully remodelled  and looks amazing, We ordered a few dishes to share which came out staggered, perfect!
My favourite dish was the pork buns...yum. They were the best pork buns I have had to date. We also shared a main course, the noodles were a little big but apart from that, it was a tasty dish.

A night of endless entertainment, with a line-up of circus acts and freaky performers strutting their stuff around every corner, it was a vibrant celebration of Melbourne’s best Asian street food, drinks and tunes.

Host, St Hotel turned up the heat with a delicious braised pork red curry. The perfectly seasoned curry broth possessed the customary punchy flavours exhibited Thai curries and was a great match for the tender pork. Great Asian blended menu but more on the Thai side. The chefs do a good job of mixing fresh produce together. Dishes are a bit sweet n sour. But the spice helps balance it out.  Staff are great as well and nice location.  highly recommended.

Went in for lunch, what a great experience. Waited on by an English girl who was fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable about the food. I've been in before and was told some dishes on the menu had changed such as the Papaya Salad. It how came with Pork on the side, personally I found the pork to be tasty but extremely tough, was hard to stick my fork into. The rest of the dish was delicious.

The lamb ribs were a winner yet again, my favourite. Had the chicken curry too, was also great. I look forward to returning.

To Dane, our server and ALL the staff -- absolutely amazing! Food, service, setting...the food was amazing kudos to the kitchen (birthday boy chef!) and it was made that much better by the staff. Trust them to choose your menu and they will accommodate dietary requirements too. Absolutely perfect - Highly recommend and will be back!

Good night out. Went for dinner with group of friends. Like the vibe and look of the place. Food was done well, lamb ribs were delicious, main of pork was too salty for my taste. Waitstaff friendly and approachable. Would go again.

Wow! What an amazing Venue!. The food at the St Hotel is exceptional!!! the lamb shoulder is one of the best things I have ever tasted! .. The new look venue is awesome, with high ceilings and the exposed brick looks amazing. The supper and social clubs upstairs is where this venue comes alive. On Saturday nights upstairs really kicks off in the supper and social clubs.

Great cocktails on menu and over 16 beers on tap in the front bar. Great date venue or if you want to come down with a big group of friends for dinner and then make your way upstairs for some cocktails and a dance.

I can't recommend this venue highly enough!

The Miang – Betel leaf, smoked trout, pomello and roasted coconut are sensational, one big mouthful of sweet, spice, sour and smokey fish. Could eat these all afternoon. Always wanted to visit and thought it looked good from the outside. I was not disappointed with the inside decor with high ceilings and exposed beams and brickwork, however that’s was the end of it. The choices of spirits is very limited, the service was great because we were too early for the young crowd. Will try again however we will need to pick the right night.

Sundays of Summer Fiesta at St Hotel are amazing. Cheap drinks, amazing environment, Free Salsa & Bachata Classes, Live Bands and Latin Food. I love it!!!

I was in the upstairs rooms for a party. The facilities were okay, the bar service was prompt and efficient, the (upstairs) staff were friendly. The balcony is nice as well. The front door staff seemed a touch aloof but that's okay, I didn't really find it a problem. The security guard also gave us some ($20) drink cards, which was a nice gesture. The drinks downstairs seemed a little expensive though. Overall, I was satisfied with the facilities that I used here.

Really great atmosphere and service. I stopped by because I had time to kill before dinner up the road. The bartender was great. Conversational and recommended me a great beer on my vague preferences. I'm not in this neighbourhood often so it's nice to know this is here for when I come back.

Very pretty, interesting layout. Made for some great photos. Lovely staff, drinks and food were delicious (those mini cheeseburger things omg!). Would've been nicer to just order from our table rather than getting up and going to the other end of the restaurant but otherwise a very nice place.
