Came here for lunch on a Sunday. Service took a little longer than at most places but staff were friendly and to be fair it was busy. Dog friendly (out on deck) which is great if you want to take your pooch. I had the Pavillion bowl which was lovely. We shared the parmesan truffle fries. Delicious. My friend had the calamari which was also good. The serving sizes where quite large also. Will be a nice venue in summer also.
West beach my favourite place near the beach for dinner with awesome hospitality and great view for sunset.
So I recommend this place for my mate.

This place is amazing! Had a lovely long lunch here today. Ate way too much because everything just tasted so damn good we had to keep ordering. West Beach is doing everything right from the incredible pizza to the beautiful beachfront views even down to the attractive young waitstaff serving us who were absolutely charming! Highly recommend!

We went for a run along the beach and then stopped in to West Beach Bathers Pavillion for a drink. We ordered a take away chocolate milkshake and a fresh juice frappe. Both were delicious!
I had the melon, pineapple and strawberry frappe which was an icy juice. Really refreshing and freshly made.
My friend (a self professed milkshake connoisseur) rated the shake highly. She says a shake has to be chocolatey, super cold and a good consistency. This passed the test!
This cafe has plenty of outdoor seating and is right on the dog friendly off lead beach if you’re interested in that!

I love to sit outside by the beach and enjoy Fish and Chips here. love the location of this place and it's got a bar with some great drinks. Will always go when I'm In the area
Great setting , awesome views any time of the day or year . Staff varied a lot . Some friendly , efficient ..others .. Some of our meals were delicious , others not so .It was a very busy day . Prices ok for location . I haven't been here for some time . I'll come back a quieter time .
West Beach Bathers Pavillion is in St Kilda and it is primarily a bar, but they do serve cafe food. They are 150 mts away from the tram stop on Beaconsfield Parade and they have weekly dinner and drinks specials. Here the service can sometimes be friendly and other times they are a bit slow. I have been there before for my tea after a long run. I love to pat the dogs that are in the courtyard on a sunny Sunday as they help relax me.
I can't believe it took me so long to find this little gem! What an amazing view of the white sands in St kilda! I had the pancakes and they were beautiful. It was just like eating scones with the cream, jam and fresh berries on top. Simple and satisfying. I like the casual feel of the restaurant. Order at the counter, get a table number, get water from the water station, attentive staff! Will definitely be coming back. :)

Went for a walk with the fiancé today and happened to randomly stop here for a bite. So glad we did as the seafood chowder special was absolutely homely and wonderful and great comfort food :) compliments to the chef! Fiancé really enjoyed his burger too. We'll be back!
Had a drink here with a group of 5 after a kitesurfing lesson next door. It's lovely because it's on the beach but don't expect too much of food, drinks and service. Nothing to complain, but nothing awesome either. We had a jug of mojito which was really weak, but still nice and refreshing.
deck chair in the sand + wine in hand + chips served in paper cone = perfection! Ideal spot for casual drinks in the sun & if it gets chilly, don't worry they bring you a blanket to keep you snug. Winning!
Great location. Dog friendly and late bfst menu. Was nice to just grab an old school fashion calamari and salad. Also a fish and chips option. Drunk down with a ginger beer. Follow by an apple pie. Lemon tart looked amazeballs. Nothing fancy and ritzy as old school as the crinkle cut chips that were served.
Saturday afternoon sunshine cycling and plenty of room here. Relaxing with coffee friends and watching the parasailing. Heaters outdoors, just do it. Tram 109 and 96 10 minutes walk away. Friends had a vanilla slice and salted caramel ice cream.
My wife and I were cycling with friends along the bayside bike track on Sunday. We stopped at West Beach for brunch - there are bike racks out front to secure your bike safely. We had not reserved a table but were able to get a table in the indoor area. Menus and cold water were quickly provided by the friendly staff. You order and pay at the counter. There is a good choice of breakfast dishes (until 3.00 pm) and lunch dishes. The 2 ladies had the big breakfast (the guys had to help a little) and the 2 guys had the eggs benedict with pulled pork. Everything tasted wonderful. We did not have to wait too long for our meals, even though the restaurant was very busy. It's right on the beach so there is a nice view of Port Phillip Bay. Prices were reasonable.
Awesome place in the summer, great vibe to have a Sangria on the beach and watch the sunset. Unfortunately it's a bit hard to get service here, hopefully things are a bit better this summer.
I had a yummy smoothie here today - full of fresh ingredients and almond milk! It was $8.50 but it was well worth it for the size.
Lovely chill café/restaurant in an amazing location and the staff were so friendly. Will be returning once the weather picks up :)
I have just arrived Melbourne and my first impression of Melbourne beaches started from West Beach Restaurant. Amazing staff, breathtaking view of beach.
Another wonderful advantage of the restaurant to notice is that, ornamentation and design of restaurant itself is appealing.
If we switch to cocktails, imagine that you are lying on the beach under pleasent sunlights with a Pino Colada cocktail in hand. delightful!!
Best View in Town!. Has to be one of the best views from a restaurant in the country. Food is solid with good variety and fair prices in a very premium location is appreciated. Try and find a spot on the deck or beach to soak in the St Kilda vibe - can get very hot in summer. Live bands plays on Sundays. Best spot for a few beers in St Kilda.
Great service, yummy food and WOW location. Really enjoyed this place, the location is amazing, have all hammocks outside on the deck. We sat by the window it just felt great. We had an early dinner on a Saturday night, they usually close at Sunset but were more than happy to feed our hungry stomachs. We all had the burger which was soooo yummy and served with chips, the kids had spiders to drink they love spiders but they are really had to find out and about. Wine was yummy and had a good selection, overall would recommend.

Delightful!. I have found West Beach to be truly delightful, to escape the mid week hustle and bustle and a fabulous spot to sit and take in that gorgeous view! I have been to a few functions held there and I was highly impressed. I have found the staff to be friendly and non obtrusive. The menu has improved dramatically and I love the warm chicken salad and the burger. On the weekends they are very busy and understandably the staff do try to do their very best with serving customers of such a high number. I have found that remaining patient and calm as well as a being a regular, the staff do tend to look after you quite well.
