Starting off with the Burgers! We all enjoyed our burgers a lot! They were made with love and were so well put together! The sides were also great and pair well with the dips on the menu! Our favourite of the sides was the ‘Dirty Fries’ and we recommend them to anyone who visits in the future! We also had some ‘Wing Dings’ (Chicken Wings) They were very delicious and were super juicy! Our shakes were also nice and rich in flavour! We were taken care of so well here at burger love st Kilda and enjoyed our visit so much!
What’s not to love about burgerlove? EVERYTHING ❤️❤️ I couldn’t get over these delicious burgers and neither should you 💜 We came, we ate and we LOVED IT 💜💙 with multiple locations across Melbourne, theres no excuse for missing out 💕 Thanks heaps for having us 😘
A little burger joint tucked away down a little alley. Service was great, with table water served as soon as we were seated and replenished during the meal.
We ordered the C.F.K. and Double Deluxe, large chips and two kids meals. Portions were generous, food was fresh and served quickly, and the chips were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The Chicken burger was decent, and the Double Deluxe had a lot of flavour, although I generally prefer my patties cooked medium and these were cooked through. My fussy daughter loved the cheeseburger kids meal ('best burger ever').
Overall a quick and decent meal at a reasonable price with great service in a relaxed environment.
Absolutely loved this place!! The vegan options were amazing and cooked in a complete seperate fryer and grill! The chips were incredibly crunch and a highly!! The mozzarella stick were delicious and cheesy. The jalapeño poppers were nice and has a good crunchy coating. The milkshake was flavoursome and delicious! The chicken was crispy and the burger was fresh. The staff were lovely and the location had a great atmosphere. A must try for all different dietary requirements.
Brent and I are here now. We are working just down the road and have wanted to come here for the last 5 weeks but this is the first time we’ve been here. It’s my birthday next week and I’m organising to go get dumplings with my friends. Either Heathmont or box hill.
Awesome burgers with a great selection. The Canuck is my fave (great fries too with chicken salt). My favourite late night munchie spot in St Kilda.
Great chicken burgers. Loved the CFK. Juicy fried chicken with the cheddar cheese and the bbq sauce. Simply yummm. BLT is good on its own. My faith on the chicken burger is getting restored :)
This is a review for the Burgerlove food truck which I ate at last night at Elwood park as part of the Street Eatz food truck festival. The burgers were really good and menu a smaller version of in store. I have the basic double cheese burger (Cheeky Cheesy) which came with beef patty, double cheese , pickles and sauces. A tasty burger that would be one of the more affordable options of the night.

I had tried before burger love by uber eats and it wasn't as good as people told me it was, so I decided to pop into the St Kilda shop. I had the dirty bastard (the spicy one). It was delicious , it is mix of spicy , sweet and acid flavour which you'll love if you like spicy food. They just have bottled beer which for me as a pint lover is not the best...but anyway...I had a nice lunch!

They have come a long way since the cafe 51 days. From the small shop in the middle of the industrial area of South Melbourne to a second shop in St Kilda and now a third in Prahran and it all started via a small burger blog called Burgers of Melbourne.

Stumbled upon this place after a few bevys on a Sunday. Needless to say the healthy choices we made . Burger was awesome, so fresh and moist, chips were crunchy and fresh too. The mac and cheese bites were good but could only have a couple as they were a bit too rich . Great customer service too .
Burger 2: yummyyyyy a good hangover cure... but massive! I love how they serve healthy juices with naughty food 😂
Décors 1: like it
Service 0.5: average
I went here a few years ago and I thought the burgers were mind boggling. It was the first real time I went to the new crazy burger places which are now a dime a dozen.
We returned last week but due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to eat (they closed an hour early much to the dismay and anger of my girlfriend and I). We returned this week after having received restitution. I was excited to get the hayne again which is a mountain of a burger. Even considering the size it didn't end up messy or all over the place which is a big plus. It held its shape well. The southern style chicken is beautiful as so is the beef patties. You can actually taste all the ingredients in the burger including the generous cheese and bacon *drool* it's not just a mountain of slop or grease which I am a fan of. And the buns were some of the best I've had. It's actually kind of hard to describe it because both the girlfriend and I absolutely wolfed our burgers down in 3 seconds flat (a new PB).
The girlfriend much to my dismay doesn't like gravy on her chips so we got the plain Jane's. Tasted good and love chicken salt but they were a tad under cooked.
Good location and comfortable seating arrangements. Bit on the high end side for expensive but we'll worth the price for a top notch burger. Definitely recommended 👍
Heard plenty about Burgerlove, but this was the first time trying it. Not going to lie, possibly the best burger I've ever had? I know it's hard to judge but I was just blown away by their Juicy Lucy burger. It was so simple, but everything about the cheeseburger just worked amazingly. The bacon was sweet but not overly so, and the flavour didn't overwhelm the rest of the burger. The patty was so tender and juicy and filled with flavour, and the whole construction was very clean, not messy at all. I am stunned, honestly.
And plus, it was only $10. Just wow.
Friendly and enthusiastic staff
I like the different choices of burgers offered here
The burgers taste good, especially the mac daddy.
However, I would not recommend any chicken from this place though, it's very dry and tough... and milkshakes are not thick enough.
Wait time: approx 10-20 minutes
Been here twice and the burgers were delicious every time! Service is a bit slow as they clearly get a lot of uber eats orders and the people in the restaurant have to wait because of that. Definitely worth the wait though, some top notch burgers!
My partner, his little brother and I went all out at burger love! If it's on the menu, imma buy it! So my and my partner got the paralyser with a Nutella bacon patty and a mac and cheese extra, he got the hulk and his little brother got the double B. Disappointingly the Nutella bacon extra and mac and cheese extra were both a little cold, BUT despite this, the overall experience was brilliant. Lovely customer service, awesome venue and the food was still delicious. Oh and we got cheese sauce, it was delicious! Would return 🍔❤️
The Juicy Lucy burger is amazing, as are the dirty fries. That cheese sauce...yummmm! Everything I've tried on the menu has been great, and love that they sell Ben and Jerry's too.
The location of the shop is tucked away and hidden but the burgers are perfect for takeaway or deliveries. Don't forget to order the amazing chips!
One of my favourite burger places!!! For the price and the portion and how good it is, it can't be beaten honestly. Not the closest burger joint to me but worth the drive.
Their fried chicken is addictive and juicy and I always struggle to finish it. Will try the South Melbourne (original) store hopefully in due time. Excited to try everything they have on the menu.
Nice atmosphere, menu is massive and service is quick. Seems like a great place if you love quantity and outlandish burgers. Definetly, a must go if you are a burger lover!
If you want to go to a chilled out burger bar; this is your place. Wear loose fitting clothes because man, these burgers are huge. There is a deep fried option (the WHOLE burger is prepared then deep fried); a burger with chicken replacing bread as the buns; deep fried everything (mushrooms, mac and cheese); and some pretty interesting sides (nutella covered in bacon and deep fried- whaa?!?!). The restaurant itself doesn't have a toilet, which is a huge downside; they had the option of ciders and wines on the menu but none in-store (plenty of options of beer for those of you who like beer); and the music was constantly fluctuating in noise and genre. Burgerlove make their own beer, which was a tasty lager. The burgers are huge in size, but some were lacking in flavour. The restaurant is very modern and fun, with graffiti art lining the walls. Worth a visit, but it hasn't knocked my favourite burger joint in Melb from the top of the podium.
These are great burgers. The double d is awesome for your burger fix! I would have liked to be able to buy plain chips separate instead of the feta and oregano ones, that and the really bland basic aioli are my only complaints. Get on burgerlove it's so yum!
Really good burgers. Plenty of choice, good size, juicy. We tried Cheeky Cheesy, Juicy Lucy, Juicy Gigi & Canuck. Plain chips were a huge serve, well seasoned , hot & crispy down to the last chip. We used a Scoopon, but will definitely be back without one, when next in the area. Had eat in, but one of our family wasn't well, so we requested takeaway, & were easily given boxes & bags. Note: no toilets in the area. Tricky to locate: from Canterbury rd go up stairs next to Metropol car park.
Fun burger place. Like the little touches, placemats with crayons. 10 buck burger chance wheel, where you spin for your burger. Burger itself, the juicy Lucy, was solid. Sweet ketchup and juicy meat patty provided a satisfying but not life changing burger experience. Sides were more hit and miss. Gravy chips were over seasoned and MacBombs were under seasoned. The place is busy, cheeky place I would recommend more for the novelty, however the food is certainly enjoyable.
Despite looking a tad on the small side, the burger was packed full of juicy meaty goodness. Sandwiched between the soft and lightly toasted brioche, were two flavourful, medium beef patties moulded together, holding in place gooey cheddar cheese within. Combined with additional cheese and bacon, this burger was absolutely bursting with flavour.

This place is amazing. Up there with the best burger joints around and it never breaks the bank. A very filling meal will usually only set you back around 20 bucks and even if you splash out and spend 30 you end up with a buffet of tasty food. Mini cheeseburgers are only $2 so it's always tempting to add that as a side. Plus the dirty fries are amazing. I'd recommend sharing.
This is the burger place that I would love to be coming back. Super soft bun with soft and moist vege patty and fried egg is definitely a home version of burger. The addition of caramelized onion and cheese brings the burger one level up. Chilli fries with melted cheese is another amazing dish here.
I've been to Cafe51 at South Melbourne, and I'm glad to say that this branch is equally as good! The layout is quick spacious, staff are fun and helpful, and the music they play is totally my jam. It is also quite accessible due to its proximity to the St Kilda station tram stop, although being relatively hidden.
We tried the Canuck - it was the bomb! The portion was huge, and the flavours went together very well! The patty was juicy and the cheese tasted great. The grilled chicken and bacon burger was pretty nice too. The chips was also cooked really nicely. Hot, crispy and seasoned well. The variety of sauces provided was also a plus!
I will definitely come back!
I ordered the Juicy Gigi. Brilliant burger - all the flavours were well balanced; it was warm; and the beef patty was bursting with flavour.
Their chips were perfect. Not too much seasoning, but certainly not lacking. The crunch factor was 10/10. They didn't become cold even though I left them till last.
Friendly, swift service. And they didn't pull the "Scoopon face" at me even though I used one.
Overall, a highly satisfactory experience!
Being a big fan of Cafe 51, I had a good feeling that I won't be let down by my experience at Burgerlove. True enough, we were presented with two drool worthy and pants-busting creations that not only looked sexy but tasted naughty. I'm personally a fan of the slightly charred edges of the beef patty, yet still maintaining a pink juicy inside. Delightful flavours, I especially love the sweet and salty combination of the Canuck and Elvis. Only minor complain this time around is the soggy onion straws. The chips have slowly but surely improved from their old days back in South Melbourne and I applaud them for it. Despite the crazy amount of takeaway orders that they are often swamped with, service is still super quick and friendly. Now only if I am able to one day leave enough room in my tummy to try their desserts. One day.
Burgerlove is in the same area of St Kilda as Metropol. In fact it is right behind it. But it was tricky to find at first. In the end though thanks to Zomato I found it.I first heard about it through Scoopon. And through there they sold me a $7 burger, chips and drink. Well I did not mind that they forgot my drink. Rather I wished that they did as I was happy to drink water. I did do wine earlier.
A burger place in St Kilda worth checking out. Prices are reasonable and the burgers are pretty good. Lots of options to choose from, even those super epic ones that are seen on Insta all the time. Would recommend. Pepsi Max and Ginger AleThe CFK $10 with Crispy Southern Style Fried Chicken, American Cheddar, Bacon, Coleslaw, Chipotle and XXX BBQ Sauce
Awesome, juicy burgers. Possibly the best in Melbourne. Great selection. Chips are nice too.
Friendly staff.

Very fast service and helpful staff. I thought the image book was a nice touch to help me make a decision. I ordered The Boss which was very filling and super tasty. The chicken is much meatier, with less deep fried batter than I expected. The sauce and bacon set the burger alight! The only thing is that I felt the cheese overpowered the other flavours. The fetta fries were really moreish and crispy. Overall really yum, not sure why there's so much hate in other reviews.
I visited Burgerlove as part of a Foodora tour of some of Melbourne's best burger spots.
This place is not for the faint hearted as they take their burgers and sides to the extreme. This includes the $50 monster with 20 beef patties and 20 slices of cheese.
Find me on Instagram @Melbourne_Explorer.
Burger lovers ...... one place that you must visit.
Youthful looking, street art interior, great address albeit hidden at the back.
Formidable Burger menu, well made, great composition, simple presentation comes with a killer chips too.
NO BYO, but good beer selection, not their mini-wines.
Enjoyable outing.
I have been to Cafè 51 a few times and loved it. Went to Burger Love to give it a go and it was great. Friendly upbeat staff.
The service was fast.
I had disco fries which were amazing. Smothered in cheese and gravy!
Jalapeño poppers, they were good.
Then i had the Mac Daddy. I have had a similar one at cafe 51 which i prefered. It was all really good but the mac and cheese bomb was pretty overcooked and it made the inside a bit dry. Apart from that the patty was cooked perfectly and the bacon was delish
Another rainy wkend in melb..decided to give foodora a go,at $5 delivery, I've been hesitate.
I ordered burger.chips n crispy chicken..
Burger was great, super,I had the double beef with crispy chicken on top..super..though hard to hold and eat,a messy eat,but a great eat.
Chips were a let down but I think that's due to getting it delivered, probably better if eaten at Shop..
My only issue is the side chicken,so the price,it looked like a dead piece of nothing..but again my first order.my first review, and definitely the best burger I've had, those onion slaw is amazing, think onion rings x 100..
Will definitely order again
Before I review, I just wanna commend the staff's effort to accommodate for their time constraints. Their kitchen was literally flooded with delivery orders. So the food came late but the chips were upgraded from small to large with extra sauces. The staff were also lovely and with scoopon basically giving meals away ($7 burger, chips, and drink) I will be back here again.
Everyone in my party enjoyed the burgs and with chips being abundant, we all came home full. The pics speak for themselves. Burgerlove may not make the best burger in Melbourne, but it certainly makes the cheapest per quality.
Had the Juicy Gigi burger which was sensational and excellent value for money. Friendly staff, will definitely be back, would highly recommend!
I quite enjoyed my burger and would buy again. It doesn't have the wow factor like some more high profile burger joints but still the best one in St Kilda IMO
I get really excited when I discover a place that could possibly give some of my regular favourites a run for their money.
I found #Burgerlove by accident one night when I was looking through Uber Eats to see what food I can have delivered to me. I was surprised when I saw Juicy Lucy burgers on their menu (seems like such an American thing!). I ordered a Juicy Gigi burger (slight variation to the original juicy lady), a side of Disco Fries (Chips with gravy and cheese), and....wait for it... a Nutella Doughnut wrapped in Bacon. It was called a "Heart Starter". I scoffed down the burger and found it to be HOT DAMN AMAZING! It was definitely a greasy style of burger but it was bloody awesome. To be honest I didn't even notice the "Juicy Lucy" aspect of the burger because all the sauces and oozy cheese just worked together in harmony and caused a symphony of flavour in my mouth.
The disco fries wasn't bad but paled in comparison. Plus my eyes were too big for my stomach and I was too full to eat the chips...which had gone a bit cold by the time I got to them.
I don't usually like doughnuts so I had low expectations of the Heart Starter. Luckily they were so low because the monster of a dessert was really lacklustre to me. So much so, I didn't even finish it. My advice? Burgers are definitely worth trying here. Perhaps skip the sides and desserts.
We both fell in love the first time we visited Café 51 in South Melbourne, so when we heard they were opening a new store in St Kilda, we had to go and pay them a visit. We decided to go on their opening night to give the new venue a try.
It is very easily accessible via public transport, with a tram stop literally right next to the location. The venue was very nicely set up, being reasonably spacious and having a modern interior. The burger mural of ‘the Meataxe’ on the wall was really spectacular. Once again, we received extremely friendly customer service as the staff are always bubbly and welcoming. We placed our order and sat down.
One of the burgers we tried was ‘the Boss’. This was the first time we had tried their Juicy Lucy patty and it was wonderful. Their patties are already so tasty, so the addition of the cheese centre only enhanced that flavour even more. The chicken was cooked to perfection – being juicy with a hint of spices giving it a bit of a punch. The mozzarella sticks were crispy on the outside and warm and cheesy on the inside which worked well with the American cheddar. The bacon, ketchup and mustard accompanied the flavours in the burger really well.
There is no doubt that this is one of the best burger joints in Melbourne for many reasons. Their customer service, extremely affordable prices and great tasting food has secured them as one of the tops of our list.
New shop, same old dirty ass finger lickin burgers! Good all round performance from a modified boss and dirty fries. Got a PB&J donut for dessert too. Can't go wrong with the old 51/burger love game 👌
Sensational burgers, absolutely sensational. The flavours are still lingering two days later. Beef, chicken, bacon, mozzarella sticks and onion rings all combined were so damn good.
Prices were under what i would have paid, but there are two downsides only.
The chips were not flash, bit bland and luke warm, and the location was very hard to find. If not for google maps walking around the block, we would never have found it. That's a shame to the hundreds of people a week who will walk past this place.
Uber Eats were picking up every 90 seconds and we must have seen 100 parcels being delivered, (presumably to people who couldn't find the physical building).
Drove an hour but well worth it. Again the burgers were INCREDIBLE.
Great burgers! Love the attention to details - the beef patties are soft and juicy, I got one which have cheddar cheese inside of the patty, jalapeño, fried onions and more cheese - which is to die for! Will definitely go back (with foodora again!)
Yummy dirty burgers at a super reasonable price, what's not to love? The burger is delicious and cooked really well, they have so many different fillings in their burgers that there's something for everyone. Keen to go back and try their loaded fries, if the burgers are anything to go by the fries would be super delicious!!
Ok.... It appears I've got a bit of an addiction to naughty food this winter - I saw all their creations on Instagram and holy smoke the food was unreal here!
Got delivery from ubereats - here in under an hour.
The basic cheeseburger was SO good. Quality meat in a soft bun and for $7 it's a bargain.
The Canuck was on a waffle, with bacon maple syrup, pickles, spicy sauce and the most divine fried chicken. This was hands down the best waffle burger in town!
But the disco fries were perfect too - but wait... They have bacon wrapped Nutella filled fried donuts. I feel like I've put on 15kg just eating all this meal but gym definitely tomorrow haha
I had the boss burger was the best burger I have ever had and so cheap and delicious
AMAZING!!!.
Food was unbelievably awesome , it had so much flavour and was like nothing I have ever tried we went in a group of 7 and everything came out perfect no mistakes which was very surprising because they were very busy at the time we went.
Staff was very friendly and helpful with ordering , as soon as we walked in the staff had a smile on their face and greeted us with a warm welcoming.
Best burgers in Melbourne I'll be back definitely.
Thanks #🍔❤️
And I'm back already! After visiting cafe 51 not long ago I had heard they had a sister venue in the heart of st kilda, which is a lot closer to home. I took one of my burger loving friends and after eating minimal before hand and also exercising I had worked up an appetite. I had seen the fried chicken at 51, so had decided to give it a go today and what a great decision that was. The CFK was delightful from start to finish, sometimes when having a chicken burger they're dried out or lacking quality meat. Not in this case, cooked perfectly and surrounded by amazing ingredients this was an amazing burger. I also had a side of chips with the cheese dip, which I'm still undecided about. The chips were amazing though. My mate also tried the triple fried potato cake, which I wouldn't recommend, way too crispy and tasted burnt. What I will be back for are some of the ridiculous concoctions of burgers and also things like the heart starter: a bacon wrapped Nutella donut. Wow.
I liked this venue a lot more than cafe 51, a lot more open and easier. The price points here are amazing and you definitely get your money's worth.
My only gripe was the lady taking our order, she wasn't in the greatest mood. We were asked to move to the side to make our decision, we were the only ones ordering and must be sick of people gawking at the photos, but why have them there?
I don't think I'll be hungry come dinner time. Thank you, once again!
I'm so happy that you opened a new restaurant with later trading hours!! I've been here twice in the last month and the quality of the food is just as impressive as the South Melb branch. Food can appear a little slow to come out, but you can tell that there are a tonne of takeaway orders being pushed out too, and the food is (obviously) worth the wait! I've tried 3 other mac and cheese burgers this year, and in my opinion, Cafe 51/Burgerlove takes the top spot! Staff are friendly, burgers are always delicious, prices are good. I've tried many burgers from all over Melbourne and anytime someone asks me for my top 3, I immediately tell them Cafe 51. You can't beat the range and the prices!
Surprised at the rating. Cause every visit I've had so far has been amazing.
You know it's a good burger when you're still thinking about it 3 days later.
Probably the best burger shop in st kilda! Beats mammys boy hands down for taste and value! Cost me here 18$ and mammys boy 28$. Unbelievable burger!
Amazing burgers, Amazing prices and great staff! This place is a 10/10 guaranteed , will definitely be back. They make the best burgers! And are very welcoming, the fit out is great and the environment is comforting, love cafe 51 and now #🍔❤! Thank you #🍔❤ for having amazing burgers and for great prices! #1 burger joint in Melbourne 👍 highly recommended!
Love this place .!!! Been here a few times now burgers are delicious and so are the shakes especially their love shakes :)
Staff are very friendly and very welcoming ..
Can't fault this place great looking and tasting burgers and great value for your money ....
Will definitely be back again ....
Congrats cafe 51 on your new store #🍔❤️..
Don't know how this place has has under 3/5 this place is my favourite!! When I heard they were opening another store in st kilda I had to go !!! Defs the best tasting patties I've had and in my top 3 burgers I've ever tasted and I just came back from USA 2 weeks ago !! I'm from the south east and have tried probably Over 100 different burgers but these ones I would always go back for because the quality + price is uncomparable. My other fav spots are dpav in dande and mistys in Prahran will be going back for my bday for the Mac daddy haha !
Melbourne's best burger joint, Cafe 51, managed to replicate the perfection that they create at a new location in St Kilda. The best burgers in Melbourne made by the best people in the business. Without any bias, the Meataxe is amazing. Judge this place on the Meataxe and you'll be as obsessed with it as I am. #🍔❤️

Cafe 51 has opened a new store, in St Kilda, dedicated to burgers (and some waffles)! Although their menu is predominantly grease based, if you are looking for a hangover meal or a food therapy fix, Burgerlove may be the calorie dense option for you. I definitely don't recommend eating this on a regular basis. They definitely could introduce some greener sides and ingredients to their burgers, but as it stands, their food is lip-smackingly delicious!
This was the before and after of our amazing dinner.
The chips were great and so were the burgers. The chicken burgers are always the best here.
The customer service is really why I choose burger love when I want burgers. The boys have helped me many times since moving in near by. From helping me work out the rubbish to helping me when I was locked out of my apartment. Nas is definitely a hard worker and my favourite part of passing Burger Love everyday.
Thanks to the boys for the amazing burgers.
Food is quite good here, milkshake was awesome, vegetarian burger was pretty tasty and the waffle fries were crunchy and had a really flavoursome (spice mix?) on it. It's nice to see a franchise giving options. Place also looks nice and is very laid back. Staff are incredibly chill and friendly.
Went to this hidden restaurant during a quiet time for a late lunch with the family. Service was great - water served as soon as we sat at a table and replenished for us during our lunch as well.
The burgers are decent. I had the Double Deluxe which was delicious and filling, although I do tend to prefer beef patties cooked medium and these were well done. My husband had the fried chicken burger which he said was good, although not stand-out. The kids meals were generous, and the chips were really good - crispy outside and fluffy inside.
Overall, a nice relaxed place to come for lunch, with decent food at decent prices.
Absolutely loved this place!! The vegan options were amazing and cooked in a complete seperate fryer and grill! The chips were incredibly crunchy and a highlight!! The mozzarella stick were delicious and cheesy. The jalapeño poppers were nice and had a good crunchy coating. The milkshake was flavoursome and delicious! The chicken was crispy and the burger was fresh. The staff were lovely and the location had a great atmosphere. A must try for all different dietary requirements.
Great burgers!! Awesome joint! Quality bun, and tasty beef patty. Very reasonably priced. For me grea, the venue had a good ambiance, music, and cleanliness. First class service and friendly staff too!
Suggestion: in the veggie burger my dining pal requested that you cook the egg a bit longer, also have a qourn option as a vegetarian burger. Otherwise all good!! Enjoy!!
Absolutely delicious burgers! The dirty fries were so good. That cheese sauce is boss! We received fast and friendly service too. Thank you!
