Review Times Cafe - St Kilda

Below average breakfast. Presentation was poor especially the poach eggs and bacon. Sourdough bread very thin. Eggs just warm and were hard on eggs Benedict. Could not recommend.

Met some of the friendliest staff around. Ordered the tomato, ham and cheese bagel and it was nicely seasoned. Great coffee and the interior of the cafe looks lovely. Will be looking to come back soon.
I like to move it!
Fantastic Coffee, lovely people, very beautiful atmosphere. It has many seats and outdoor seating as well. Facing St Kilda road it's just very pretty.they have catering services as well. Free wi-fi included too.

For the best long macchiato it has to be Times cafe. Im always 'in fear' of what im going to get when i order my favourite coffee anywhere else and its usually a disapointing experience. But when i get a chance to get to Times cafe and i try very hard to go often, i know im 'home'. Helen and Ricky are not only gorgeous people but they make the best tasting...and looking...long macchiato there is...Time and Time and Time again.

✅ A clean and bright café with a cool and cozy atmosphere. ✅ Breakfast is served from 7 til 2 which is great for both early and late starters ✅ Lunch from 11 til 2 and there's a big range on both the breakfast and lunch menu. ✅ Always ask about their daily special. ✅ The café is licensed and offers free WiFi. ✅ With its great outdoors dining area, on a nice day it's a hard café to beat on the St Kilda strip. ✅ It's my favourite stop for a caffeine fix when I'm on St Kilda Road. ✅ If you're a regular their coffee card to gets you a 10th coffee free.

Can't thank ownership and staff for making us so welcoming. While my wife was recovering from surgery the food was always flawless and very accommodating. The big breakfast was always hot and perfect

I had ordered an omelette lot with sourdough bread. The bread was burnt and was the half the size of my palm. Parts of the bread were chipped off which made it looks half eaten. The cafe said it was given to them like that. Over that , they toasted it so much that it was hard as a rock. May be that was also the manufacturers fault. The lady then went on blaming the delivery guy saying it must have taken time causing the bread to so hard. But I have ordered similar items from other places n always received good quality bread. She then had the audacity to tell me that if I live close by, I should pick up the order or dine in to enjoy a better experience. Overall, she never accepted her mistake and instead blamed everyone else. Never ordering from here again. Not recommending anyone to order either.

Very nice poached eggs on sour dough this morning and great coffee. A small serve for a man but enough for a light breakfast. Good prices. Quick and friendly service. They seem popular with locals coming in for morning coffees.

Grabbed a takeaway chai from here today which was definitely on the sweet side as powdered often is but there was a lot more to this place than just hot beverages. It had a pleasant interior, plenty of sweet treats on offer and extensive lunch options so much so that I will have to come back to try the food

I was surprised to see laksa on the specials menu. I shouldn't have been because it wasn't special because it wasn't laksa. A thin watery broth with no sight or taste of the usual ingredients. No depth of flavour with very little spicing apart from a hint of chilli and no coconut. Protein was predominantly from three types of fish cake/balls.

When I provided feedback I asked what types of laksa it was meant to be - Penang, Sarawak, curry...?? I was told it was just laksa.

Feedback was not well received with the response being defensive.

Would not here, owner is very unfriendly and unprofessional towards staff. the food is cut with the same knife used for everything and the sandwiches and wraps kept for days. It is not fresh at all!

My first time at this café, Breakfast - Benedict.. have to say ..I was surprisingly taken by the tasty freshly cooked poached eggs, bacon with toasted muffin.. Also enjoyed the coffee and small chats with the friendly staffs. Well done!

I think this place has changed hands- I got a takeaway breakfast and it was terrible- so bad I threw it out. They only gave me 1 egg which was overlooked and didn't even toast the bread. Really disappointing for what used to be my go to place.

The best cafe I had in st kilda road so far, I heard the barista works there is a champion of cafe competitions. Hey mate you must go there to try!

DON'T be put off by the low star rating, this place has a new chef and an updated menu and in my opinion, is one of the best value and tastiest lunch spots in Melbourne.

It's a little nondescript and dated inside but the food is so, so good. The parmigiana has to be undoubtedly the best and biggest I've ever had (and unbelievably only $12) . So tasty, freshly made and totally indulgent. Equally the grilled chicken Caesar salad is a standout - fresh grilled chicken, lots of Parmesan and crunchy croutons.

The coffee is nice and the service is friendly. Amongst a choice of distinctly average eateries on the corporate St. Kilda Road, Times Cafe is an absolute stand out and has been excellent every single time (and I've been MANY times as it's next to my work!)

Give it a try!
