Review Kebab Hut - St Kilda

Antoni
Friendly staff and very quick service. Kebabs are good value and good portion size. The garlic sauce is kind of underwhelming, I'd like to see it more garlic-y. Staff should practice better mask discipline.

Food is disgusting.. quality is getting from bad to worse.. they increased all their prices to their food but serve garbage to customers. Chef has no idea what he is doing.. put in a simple request for chips to be made crispy instead every time I give them a chance to just fry crispy chips in my HSP all I get is a pool of oil and the wettest and soggiest chips in the universe. Disgusting

These guys are a hidden legend, their pizzas in my humble opinion are the best in Melbourne, I look forward to walking I to a bunch of friendly guys and girls where nothing is too much! I 100% reccomend giving there pizzas a bash! Sadly since finding them neither Domino's or Pizza Hut has seen me! Thanks Kebab Hut! Awesome food!

First of all I would not like to portray in such a negative way to judge for any restaurant but this thing is quite important. I have order Falafel as I am pure vegetarian. I have ordered my food through uber but what I have got is not Falafel for sure and as you can see It is non veg product. When I called the restaurant they were not ready to listen and they were saying that I am bluffing. I suggest they need to take care of the products and choose wisely as per the order instructions and I can understand that mistakes happen but at least they should apologise and not being such a rude to anyone on their own mistake. Hope they know whats the difference between veg and non veg.. All the best.

*DONT ORDER HERE * Blandest HSP ever. Order via door dash for pick up, waited 40 MINUTES. Got here when app said was ready waited another 35 MINUTES, staff was rude and disrespectful- said he would make it when we got there. Got our food COLD- NFI how that is possible, or if they used OLD meat. Pita bread was cold, not cooked at all. AVOID THIS PLACE

I ordered meat empire and bbq chicken pizza through their doordash store called pizzeria hut and one of the best pizzas I had when it comes to thick ingredients and soft base, not over or undercooked just perfect soo much cheese and meat they don't cheap out on it so not for the thin paper like pizza lovers be warned. Also good job on the garlic bread, could do with a few mins longer to crisp it a bit but the garlic was real not cheap tasting. Will be a repeat customer, thanks guys.

Ok, so I went in to grab a super late dinner around 12midnight-1am.. Few other people in there at the time, I ordered a 'Rusty American burger combo'.. (So burger chips & drink) as takeaway.. I would have given 5stars, but I asked for extra pickles n extra lettuce on my burger, & there was ex pickles, but no extra lettuce apart from about 3strands of it completely all up.! The burger patty & sesame seed bun was really lovely, but they need to put a bit more of the ingredients on the burger, & it would have been excellent.! I took the meal home & there was no sogginess when I microwaved it for 30secs, & chips were hot & yummy which I ate on way home.! All up, I would recommend the place, well priced & really good for late night meals when nothing else is open, as I think they close between 2-4am.. They just need to fill their burgers a lil more & then I'd have no complaints & highly recommend them.!! Thanks guys.! :)
Good Food Good Mood
I got uber eats delivered to the hairdresser and kind of remembered why I never order HSP’s they are just so damn saucy and this one had the added intensity of an incredible amount of seasoning on the chips. Would definitely stick to a kebab in future

This place is so underrated. Kebab Hut is on Ubereats so occasionally we order this after a late night out. And the halal snack pack here is the bomb! The meat is fresh, fries remain crispy even after being delivered and the sauces just go Super well with the meat and fries combo. If you want an additional treat, always add cheese. The dish doesn’t look pretty but it sure is the remedy to late night hunger!

3.5. Ordered a HSP and it was pretty nice, decent sized servings of meat and chips. The nutella baklava was really good! It was something different and the nutella was within the layers of the flaky sweet dessert.

Would not recommend fish and chips. We took back for a refund was unable to eat it. My husband can still taste the fish he did eat 24 hours later.

Meat was perfectly cooked, servings were generous and the dips were delicious. Both the lamb platter and mix platter were excellent. Will definitely be back for more

Came here after a gig in the city and copious amounts of alcohol... at the time it was prob a 5 but sober Ped would have preferred less sauce on the Hsp. They also do very solid kebabs and the lads are always friendly!

Walked in for a HSP. Ordered a Mixed HSP(Chicken & Lamb) with Garlic & Chilli Sauce. I felt the meat was overcooked. Could have been a much better. Would not recommend.

Quite a nice kebab shop at a good location in St Kilda.

They offer all the usual plus a couple of nice things, like Nutella Baclava or a Turkish Bread (instead of a Pita) Wrap.

I ordered the Mixed Kebab in a Turkish Bread.

It was ready within a few minutes (I watch them cut the meat off the kebab).

It was very delicious and packed with juicy meat. The actual Turkish Bread was very soft and flavoursome.

They have $6 Beers all day too.

I wasn't impressed that, although you can dine-in (like I did), there's no washroom/toilet. I really dislike eating without washing my hands first. If they can't do it for logistical reasons, maybe they could offer their clients hand sanitiser or wet towels...?

But, really good value for money and delicious kebabs. I'll be back.

TIP: Use EatNow or Menulog to place an online pickup order for a 10% fine-in discount.

Went here a few times for quick lunches. Easy to eat, good value and yummy fillings. Quick and easy to order. Kebabs are always a good choice!

Haven't been there in person but often order via Menulog. We are suckers for their snack packs which we order far to much. Have had a couple of issues with delivery (once it took 2.5 hours) and we have had missing sauces in the past but we keep coming back. Deliver drivers always friendly and great taste.

Have been there twice recently and received excellent service. We have eaten in on both occasions and the staff checked to see if everything was satisfactory- which it was. Even offered more meat at no charge. These levels of service are rare, especially at a suburban kebab outlet.
La Ola Es Mia Cocina.
Okay tasting souvlaki a, not the best and not the worst that I've experienced in the area. In saying that, plenty of other choices near by.

ffing hopeless.. Empty shop. 2am on sat morning. We were not even acknowledged after 5 minutes, filthy remains of salad. If I was the owner of this place I would fire both guys on the spot. They are not clearly not interested in this business. What a liability!

Have visited here many times recently because my Filipino friend has a hard on for the Falafels.

Service was shocking, only 1 guy working at the counter, waited for him to acknowledge our presence for 5 minutes.
After finally taking our orders, he starts chatting up a prostitute and forgets to cook our food. Was a 20 minute wait for a falafel wrap.

Falafel tasted alright, and price was reasonable for portion size, but everything else sucked. Was worth it for the hilarity of the drug addled prostitute banter with the clerk though. Worth a look!

Wait.. No it's not.

Online service is terrible. Can't believe I paid $50 dollars for your food. My meat was so dry and above all the food came an hour late so by the time it got here it was cold!! $50 for a platter of cold dry meat and soggy cold chips and wet bread. Mmmmmmm just what I was hoping to get!! 😡😡😡 a VERY WEAK 1 and that's just because I HAVE to give a rating...
Jack
Burnt burger and 3 days old potato cakes, the worst online delivery experience ever. Staff laugh at you on the phone, ask for picture and takes the burnt food back for a cash refund. The kebab and manager were OK so well a deserved 1.5

One of the best Kebabs in Melbourne;) Delivery is super quick & their bread is so different. Highly recommended. Baklava was so tasty too...

Stopped here after reading a few positive reviews, gotta say it was disappointing.just under half the plate was steamed rice with no flavour at all, just a bland pile of rice.
The salad was 70% parsley and it was all that could be tasted, as well as being very stingy on the portion size.
One small blob of garlic sauce and another small blob of homus also on the stingy side.
The meat was ok and the bread serving was a good size but under heated.
My score out of 5 would be a conservative 2 it was ordinary at best.
Most of the good reviews I read must have been drunks from the pub getting a feed after downing 16 beers, everything tastes great when you're pissed!.
So as a tip to the owners bin the rice unless you are going to put some flavour into it with butter, it's just got no place on the plate in its current form.
Fix the salad and go easy on the parsley it's all that can be tasted!

Best Kebabs in Melbourne. No doubt the trendiest Kebab shop in Melbourne & the food is consistently fresh & tasty....

Had a lamb kebab here last night after a few drinks... Expecting normal run of the mill kebab.... I was PLEASANTLY SUPRISED! Beautiful traditional bread and taste that although I was a little drunk still remember this morning! I'll become a regular here! Lovely service from the American dude too!
Gastronomique
Great Service!. Service is friendly and the selection and range of meals on offer is great. The food was passable fare, basic ingredients but needs some more spice and kick. the chili paste that other reviewers mentioned was great, though.

Would recommend over the other kebab places in the area.

Best kebab i have ever had.. If your a chilli fan then you have to try their chilli paste...its divine. this place is great, the owner is lovely, the quality of the food is amazing. extremely fresh and beautiful pita bread. consistently 10/10. wish them all the success because they deserve it.

Authentic Kebabs. We visited this newly opened restaurant & ordered the Shish platter. It was the tastiest Turkish meal with so crispy Turkish bread. Will definitely come back.
Love Kebab
I love kebab & found a nice place to having here , Turkish bread which gives perfect taste.. at stkilda.

Where is the Turkish bread?. Came here for a quick bite before a concert at the Palais. Place was freezing and my husband and I had to huddle together to keep warm. The kebab was wrapped in Pita bread out of the packet, which we found strange we've only experienced Turkish food with freshly baked bread. I ordered a meal with which I received a basket of what I'm sure was roti bread. Missing the peanut sauce and tasting strange with Turkish flavours. Won't be returning

I wrote a review that I was disappointed and had the owner give me my money back and invited us back in to try the food again complimentary. The owner was a nice man who was very polite. Thank you for your generosity I'll be back!

-----14 Sep, 2014-----

Shush kebab. They served me bread and tomato with nothing else.. They forgot to give me any meat and salad, when I got home I was very disappointed. No phone number to call and ended up very hungry.... Cost me me $17
