There must be a reason they are pretty much empty at Monday lunch time. I'm about to find out...

Inside it's standard Chimese decor; sensible plastic floral print table cloths, a lazy Susan, an aquarium that's now more decorative rather than to support the menu. A greasy duck and one slab of BBQ pork suspend in lonely fashion by the window.

Hai nan chicken is usually a safe bet. Here it's boney and cold. My boney chicken is fridge cold, barely thawed by the barely warm rice below it. The rice is kinda grey from squirts of soy sauce. Salty ginger and shallot sauce is already spread over the chook.

In fact that's pretty much all I remembered from this plate, soy, ginger and shallot. Oh, and lots of chicken bones.

Great food!!. Great food. BBQ pork is delicious and the duck is very tender. Great service, hidden gem of a restaurant in St Leonards!

Great food/service every time!. My partner and I visit this restaurant 1-2 times per week, and every time its fantastic.

The service is always very quick and friendly, and no meal is ever disappointing. The food is generally pretty cheap but the quality and taste is outstanding!

Would recommend to anyone!
