Easily the best coffee in Adelaide!
Hidden gem that's cosy, friendly & consistently good.
Tasty homemade goodies & great customer service.
A cosy comfortable place with a backyard and cubby house. Great coffee, food and easy feel to it.
Amazing place. Feels like home. Good food and great coffee. Also has an awesome play room for kids and a cubby out the back. Amaze balls
Best coffee in the Eastern Suburbs.
Friendly staff and very kid friendly
So impressed! Great range of GF food AND Zymil milk! Feeding me is hard but you made it easy. Plus the garden is just lovely, so cosy and wonderful to be able to enjoy a coffee while my daughter can happily play, she had so much fun as we don't have much of a backyard at home.
Incredible staff, good vibes, great food, coffee and music. Couldn't ask for more
We love this awesome place. The coffee is devine and the food is made with love. The outside garden is so lovely and has an awesome cubby for the kids.
When I dream of coffee Heaven, I dream of a place filled with colourful t-shirts, friendly faces, a beautiful garden filled with natural nature, and of course, incredible coffee. Then I wake up and realise I wasn't dreaming, instead I must have passed out with the overflow of goodness that is Espresso Royale.
This is the kind of place you become family, instantaneously. Maybe it's something they put in their magical long blacks (therapeutic for zombies) - but I reckon it's more to do with the love infused in everything they do. The cafe/cottage is decked out like a retro home, with colourfully upholstered chairs and cosy rooms to steep yourself. The garden is a leafy haven. The food, handmade and largely foraged out back. And the best part? Anthony, Jo and the gorgeous young guys manning the coffee machine make you feel like they've known you for years. Plus, they cater to irritating hyper-allergic food snobs like me. There's more character here than a Tim Winton novel. I'm in love! (Is that obvious? Get yourself here and make me feel like less of a creep!) Thank you, Espresso Royale xxx
Best coffee shop in Adelaide.
Great coffee, food and wonderful friendly staff
Found this place while I was visiting a friend. The coffee is amazing, ORGANIC from a SA roaster. Love the gorgeous garden. Ill be back with dog Toby.

With many cafes opening up on Magill Road, there certainly is a lot of competition. Espresso Royale is another one top on my list. It is a quirky place, perhaps a little hipster in my opinion. This cafe looks a little deceiving from the outside, almost looks like a run down house. However the moment you enter inside, you will feel like you have entered into someone's home.
Vegetarian Breakfast Brioche. Light, tasty roll with fresh ingredients, free range egg and made with greens from their kitchen garden.
Fantastic organic food in a lovely retro setting.
Groovin' De Groot. Moved to the area a few years ago having always frequented the Parade nearby for my morning coffee. Recently discovered this absolute gem - without the lines! Great little garden and lovely 'homely' feel. Had a chat to the young lads working and found out this place recently changed hands. Hadn't been previously but can certainly vouch for the excellent coffee and bacon and egg rolls. Mmm.
A wonderful way to start the day. Always great coffee here. Relaxed atmosphere and a chilled out back yard when the weather is warmer.
Coffee quality.. Hadn't been in since this place changed hands but there is still the great De Groot coffee and smiling staff. The menu is simple but delicious. Overall a great little suburban gem.
Where coffee is king. Great coffee, interesting blends, fair trade, quirky atmosphere, local feel, unpretentious. All the traits to have a good coffee experience in the Eastern burbs.
Don't drive past it. This place is so hard to find, but once you enter you'll be glad you visited.
When entering this place, the old furniture, the music, and the staff make it appear like there isn't a lot of professionalism in this cafe. One may be sceptical when ordering coffees as to its quality, but once they bring it out to you, with the perfect latte art, the perfect temperature, and well... perfect everything in a coffee, you will be visiting a lot more often.
They apparently roast their own beans, and use Paris Creek milk, which is extremely tasty, and important in our Australian culture where milk coffee dominates.
Highly recommend to anyone seeking the best Adelaide has to offer.
Quint back garden with seriously good coffee even in a large - you wouldn't even know you're on busy magill rd
Coffee is AWESOME! I will certainly be back for that.
Portion sizes are great but u guys shld butter toast for ham and cheese toastie or have something creamy/saucy or bit of greenery in side to go with. Otherwise bit dry and plain.
Cheese and organic ham on toastie itself spot on and very fresh.
Super cute place with rad coffee and very excellent tea sets! Huzzah x
Great coffee. Seriously, the coffee here is unreal. Good atmosphere/staff too.
Yay. Fantastic little place, coffee was perfect!
Absolutely brilliant organic fair trade coffee! Snazzy decor, comfortable friendly environment & awesome staff
A beautiful cafe with excellent coffee, retro feels calming and peaceful environment. Family friendly highly recommend to support this business
Check out this half eaten egg and bacon muffin. Too amazing. I’ve had a lot of these and this was the best. Better than the Cibo’s one. 5 million stars. Coming back for the Chai tea
Excellent coffee, and they use Paris Creek milk :). Great service too, in a cosy home-style shop with a local feel.
The owner is really friendly and the brownie was super delicious! The cafe is very cozy and inviting especially on a cold day. Highly recommend!
My friend and i had the breakfast special which included a coffee or hot chocolate. Awesome coffee and hot chocolate was yummy. The breakfast was two eggs, a sausage, greens, fried tomato, bacon and a slice of sour dough or gluten free bread with basil pesto. It wasn't greasy, and tasted fab to us. I tell them how I want the eggs, bacon and the toast; Let them know if you're fussy about this sort of thing. I love my hot chocolate very hot, so let them know if you want is hot, not warm. I know traditionally hot choc is drunken warm, but I don't like es it like this. My friend had the apple cake served with madcapone cream if you like and he devoured it....I was the same with the chocolate brownie. Man, that has to be one of my 5 top favourite chocolate cake/slice. 😘👌
They have a garden which is darling! I took photos. They told me they're making some changes and asked me if I wanted to exhibit my photographic art there. Very excited! It's a cosy, quirky, lovely place. There's two rooms for rent in there too... call them if you have a small business you want to operated in the eastern suburbs. Pretty cool opportunity by the looks of things.
Best coffee in the area. Happy to drive across town for the food, organic coffee and quaint garden feels that this little coffee shop provides. Always friendly service, and an awesome place to bring your kids when you want a quiet coffee while they play in the cubby house outside. 10/10 would do again :P
