Review Lyton Chinese Restaurant - Stanhope Gardens

Chinese was disappointing tonight. Spent $90 and got no prawn chips with the meal?? Satay chicken had leaked over everything making a big mess in the bag. It was pretty much like a soup mix. It wasn’t enjoyable tonight. Flavour of all dishes was average.

Meal quality very poor & even worse given the price. I ordered Sweet & Sour Pork. The Pork come I'm it's own tray & tasted like it had been heated in a Microwave. The Sweet & Sour Sauce was not on the Pork but on a separate take away container. Their was very little flavour in special fried rice & will not buy again nor recommend to anyone.

I came in this Thursday to get a light dinner, combination chow mein with crispy noodles and chicken and sweet corn soup. Parents are very happy as the meal was very flavorful and we're happy to come back for more. The place appears very clean and the cooking is very quick. I recommend this place for delicious staple Chinese meals.

Tonight, it was cold, raining and I’ve had a cold for a week. I was looking for comfort, something warm and something that felt like home… I ordered a chicken and sweet corn soup and Singapore noodles, my two old time favourite as a young girl. It was exactly what I needed, I smiled for the first time tonight and I felt like my night felt brighter as the lovely gentleman gave me my food. The soup was divine and the noodles were perfect 😍 thank you for making me feel better through your amazing and what felt like nurturing meals when I really needed it. Experiences, are priceless and I’m grateful to Lyton for mine ♥️ Highly recommended, it is the place to go when you want a touch of home, familiarity and comfort and the food is delicious 😋

Was at the restaurant last night and will probably be my last visit too. Vegetarian noodles had no vegetables at all. Chicken noodles hardly had any chicken in it. What a joke? The staff didn’t even care to address it when asked and was told by the owner that this is how it’s going to be. Hopeless place and horrible attitude of the people serving there. Definitely not recommended.

Chicken with mushroom sauce is delicious; chicken with chilli is not good; sweet and sour pork is pretty good but has been inconsistent based of several visits and missing onion and green pepper.

We had a very bad experience today. A mistake made by the person who took the order cost a person who has never eaten non vegetarian food due to cultural beliefs in their life to eat non vegetarian food. I had ordered vegetarian fried rice and while eating we found ham and prawns. This is totally not acceptable. When I rang them they asked me to bring the fried rice back and that they would give me vegetarian fried rice for free. Free food is not an answer for what the person experienced today. Father's day lunch was spoiled because of this today.

2 years ago I brought from this restaurant and got food poison. I thought maybe it was a one off and thought after 2 years I’ll give it another go. Worst thing I could of done I have extreme pain in my stomach and have spent half the night and morning hugging the toilet bowl. Your restaurant is disgusting and makes me wonder how unhygienic your kitchen is. I’ll be reporting to the health and safety as well as informing family and friends not to visit your restaurant.

Was horrible, food arrived 5’ after they took our order and it is extremely quick so it mean food is pre cook and they reheat it. Chili chicken ( or salty chicken?) : wasn’t spicy at all and was too salty Chicken chow mein : we ordered with soft noodles and they served to us oily deep fry noodles Deep fry Sweet and sour chicken: was hot outside , cold in the middle and the breading wasn’t crunchy as usually the deep fry sweet and sour chicken is Special fried rice: was too salty tasted like had a handful of salt , didn’t have any prawns as they said it has in, rice very waterly and the barbecue pork was green and smelly. In resume the only good thing from this restaurant today were my Coke Zero and the fortune cookies �.

Can never fault the service always go above and beyond for us, restaurant was packed and they were so busy but still managed to get us a table with in a few minutes and our meal was to die for as always

Our favourite Chinese Restaurant with very friendly staff. So my son decided to celebrate his 13th birthday there with 20 of his friends. The staff went above and beyond to make the occasion so special. Highly recommended.

The fastest food service I've ever had and the food was fantastic. It's a shame I'm only here on holiday because it would be my go to for sure
