What an absolute jewel on Magill Road. The service was really good with very friendly staff. The menu was really interesting with a Japanese theme. We had the toastie and the corn fritters. They both were presented perfectly. The corn fritters were just wonderful with a lovely salad. Would definitely go back for lunch on a Saturday and breakfast again. Coffee was also great.
Always great!! Excellent food, service and coffee. Staff are super friendly and professional. I aways enjoy my experience there every time I visit.
Came here for lunch with friends. It was a really nice place to catch up. The food was delicious, I really enjoyed my meal and there were lots of options on the menu to suit all tastes. The baked treats also looked really delicious. Coffee was good, service was friendly and polite. Parking can be a bit tricky if the car park is full. Takeaway coffee was a popular option. Will be back for a brunch time feed soon.
Our 1st time experience was sensational, I couldβve polished off two of these to myself easily! Probably because this was my post workout meal. Coffee is on point. 2nd time we took a couple friends here, maybe because it was the later part of the day? It wasnβt as great. Food was OK, just not amazing like the first time. Coffee again was on point though. For that and the first time, itβs 4 stars for me. Iβd go back and hope for 3rd time lucky.
First tim visiting this little gem. A bit out of the way, not being on a main dining thoroughfare, but worth the visit. Starting with the coffees, pretty happy with them, itβs often hard to find a tasty coffee that is the right temperature. Leading into the meals everything was fresh, well portioned and really just quite elegant. The duck pastrami sandwich and the cured ocean trout were the standout of the day for me. Staff were great, very willing to meet you requests with a smile! Definitely heading back!
For the life of me I just can not remember who recommended I visit Fine and Fettle. No idea. I've wracked my brain for the last 24 hours and am still none the wiser. F&F are on Magill rd Stepney, to find a park on that part of Magill rd is a nightmare. Over the moon is how I would describe how I felt when I realised that they have their own car park.
We walked in and were warmly welcomed with a smile. I love that! We seated ourselves at the tables and chairs, yes there are those horrid stools and high tables, yes, yes makes good economic sense to have them in an eatery.

Lovely service, really interesting menu and amazing flavors. That viet coffee & spiced lamb was amazing! Good work guys :) will be back for sure x
Had the sashimi salad which was really a poke bowl and loved it! Great coffee. The girls behind the counter are so nice, very welcoming. Such a wonderful looking place with great food, coffee and service.
Good dining experience. We had the tuna salad bowl and the beef tataki salad bowl. Lovely and fresh tasty dishes that are presented really well. Each element in the dishes paired well with each other . We also had iced Vietnamese coffees with our lunch - the ratio of condensed milk to coffee was a bit off which made it super sweet. Would also have liked to have it served with the traditional slow drip filter at the table as it was served with coffee already on top of the milk. Service was pleasant. Definitely be coming back to try the other dishes.

Delicious contemporary Japanese food. Their smoothies definitely bring all the hipsters to the yard. I had Aburi Salmon with other fancy words and stuff and totally rate it.
I was pleasantly surprised and a little confused by this place. So its appearance is the classic on trend upper middle class brunch kinda place - its furnished minimalistic with light wood, hipster kinda vibe. They do super healthy green juices and serve bottled kombucha. They actually do delicious modern/fusion asian dishes! (I saw japanese, korean and Vietnamese inspired dishes)
Its like a fine dining experience in a trendy cafe/juice bar. I had beef tataki which was delicious and pretty well balanced.
Breakfast menu ends round 10.30/11 i think and from then on theres only salad bowls.
I wasnt crazy on the juices, but if youre a keen green juicer who wants super vegge drinks, you can get them here, plus a good feed!
I have been here twice. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. I really wanted to love it, the food sounds awesome, but the two things I had were served cold. For breakfast I had the potato rosti. It wasn't a rosti. I was expecting a nice golden, warm patty. What I was served was cold mashed sweet potato in a patty, topped with cold peas. There was peanut brittle scattered through that gave it sweetness and texture, but cold peas are not pleasant. I went for lunch to give them another try, and I ordered the chicken salad. It was a freezing day and I was looking forward to some warm food. I though as it was served with rice it would be warm, but no, rice and chicken were all cold, and supposed to be cold. It seems like everything is prepared way in advance, so the food can be served quickly. Our breakfast was served before the coffee!!!! I would like try again, but I am frightened the beef and soft shell crab will be served cold too. The serves are very generous.
Outstanding! Had walked past many times but finally visited today. We've found our new local brunch spot! π³
The menu items are really diverse, with interesting selections from Japan, Korea and all around the globe πβ©οΈπ°π·π
Can't wait to try them all. Good selections for all dietary requirements, too with excellent veggo and seafood options, as well as plenty for the carnivores πΎπ₯π«ππ¦
We had the nduja baked eggs and chili prawn scrambled eggs. Highly recommend both!! Can't get over how light, crunchy and delicious the toast was, too π
And great coffee! β
Delicious coffee and food, staff are really friendly and Iβve never had to wait very long for my orders. My new favourite cafΓ©!
An exceptional place to have a function with fine food, attentive staff and a trendy fit out.
The entrees were amazing and service was some of the best I have experienced.
Beautiful breakfast food. A great place to have possibly a different normal take on breakfast with Asian influence.
The staff are freindly and polite.
The food was great I had the breakfast bibimbap and two cappuccinos .
The bibimbap had s soft fried egg on top so when you break the yolk open and goes through the rest of it was awesome
The coffee is great as well.
People need to go and try them only had breakfast there but will go back and try some more of the menu. Well done @fineandfettle 5 out of 5πππππ
Updated review Dec 2020: It's been a little while since we've been back here for breakfast, but we've been quite a few times for dinner, and we've loved that! Overall the food is still very good - a modern Asian/ fusion type of menu. Loved the smoothies too!
.
Breakfast bibimbap - fried egg, mushroom, zucchini, radish, sprouts, rice, gochujiang: super tasty bibimbap! The sauce was mild-moderately spicy. Overall a great Korean dish!
.
Japanese pancake - grilled pork belly, speck, poached egg, shaved cabbage, kewpie, teriyaki: this was a super interesting dish! The pancake was nice and savoury, and very different from the traditional pancakes. The pork belly was soooo good!
.
The Snickers smoothie was amazing!
