Such a friendly establishment. We are travelling with our 5 month old who conveniently starts to get squirmish every time our food arrives no matter where we go.
The co-owner/head chef was kind enough to hold our son over our late lunch today while we enjoyed his delicious creations and a chat.
We had planned to return tonight for the dessert we had been eyeing off on the board but little bubba was a tad upset so we stayed in before our long drive home tomorrow.
Honestly cannot recommend this place enough. My pork belly dish was amazing.
We will certainly be returning when we visit Stirling again.
Thanks guys
Beautiful food and wine.
Lovely place - slow combustion fire to keep things cosy on a winter's day.
Great personal and professional service.
Highly recommended for lunch or dinner - or even just for a glass of wine or so!
New owners and to die for!!! 5 of us had dinner and everything was amazing, pork saltimbocca, venison, sirloin and the mulloway special. Beautiful atmosphere and great wine options, would highly HIGHLY recommend. New owners have done a great job! Do yourself a favour and book a table!
There are so many good things to say about this little gem. Firstly, the location is spectacular. We picked a beautiful day to visit and it was wonderful to sit up off the street under the trees. It wasn't just a meal, it was an eating experience. We were so lucky to have the two superb owners bring us a selection of their favourites (it was too hard to choose for ourselves as everything on the menu sounded incredible). They were so accomodating and I loved that they were willing to make the decisions for us, we were not disappointed. Entrees, mains and desserts were all amazing!! I don't have a bad word to say. Keep up the great work!
Haven’t been for ages and dining there again during the week reminded me of everything we love about Locavore. The food is sensational- full of flavour and the setting is perfect. Welcoming staff top it off. We will be back again soon.
Amazing dinner, delicious haloumi, melt in your mouth pork belly, tart ricotta cheesecake... great service too.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner here on Saturday night with the family. The food was delicious & the service was tremendous, with our waiter Benjamin helping us select the best wines to pair with the food we were having & informing us of where in Adelaide the produce comes from. Loved the experience & will definitely be dining there again. Thanks for a excellent evening.
Such a special place. Exceptional service. Full of passion and class. Delicious food. Atmosphere is magical. Feels like a home away from home. Has a romantic charm.
Great food and wine, wonderful staff and awesome vibe.
We are so happy that Locavore is in good hands. Fantastic food, fantastic service, really great to see true Adelaide Hills foodies bring this icon to life! A must visit!
Friendly staff, beautiful wine and great food. Love the setting and the ambience. Very relaxing and always entertaining. Has become one of our new regular Stirling gems.
Great food, very friendly staff, can't do enough for you. Highly recommended.
Despite our calling in rather late on the off-chance, their kitchen was pretty much closed - but we were welcomed anyway with extremely gracious good humour. Awesome gnocchi, dessert and lovely smiles. Definitely going back. Thanks guys.
First time in The Loca-Vore and YOU have to go! It’s a cozy little spot with amazing food and pet friendly!. I recommend to try the arancini entree. The food was rich in flavour and the presentation was excellent. The service we received was so amazing. We were outside with our dog and they provided blankets to us. Even my dog received treats! We definitely will be back. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.
Deeelicious food. Gnocchi was to die for. Great service as well. Pretty pricey though, so probably won't be back. But all mains, sides and desserts were fantastic
A true gem of Stirling!
Hard to miss Locavore as it welcomes you when you enter Stirling.
The Pork is just absolutely divine! Service is top-notch. Overall experience is up there!🙌🏻
The Loca Vore Restaurant & Bar on Mount Baker Road, Stirling was visited for lunch, on a high end of Culinary Food Eatery. Was impressed for the local SA dine in venue at the first sight. The Restaurant looked good and clean. Decor looked classy. Service from the first sight was smiling and welcoming. Leading to upstairs and straight away offered with a chilled cold house still water. We were explained about the entrees from the board, professionally done with an applause. Ordered 3 entrees with a bottle of Prosecco Sparkling wine. Grilled Prawns in Paprika & Olive oil, Marinated Squid with Aioli and Grilled Halloumi with Tomato Salsa. Favour was amazing. Well seasoning. All dishes are well defined and favoured individually. All usage of Ingredients are chosen perfectly.
But when main meals came, the burgers were great and the Homemade Chunky chips were sensational. The Beef Pattie was cooked perfectly medium except the homemade Tomato sauce was a bit too sweet. With the Grilled Baramumdi, the color of the fish was spot on designed with flare! Amaging Chef with good Culinary art knowledge. However, very disappointed with the bok Choy served with this dish. It still had sand in it. Very griddy bite. It actually destroyed the feeling of my appetite. At the same time, the shelves and deck for displace of the flower pots were filled with dust and stain Marks. Sitting upstairs on the Mezzanine level for an upper class price Restaurant, definitely dragged the mood down. Remember, upper class restaurant charges upper price must provide upper service and quality. Anyway, we were planning at the beginning to stay for coffee and desserts. Mind changed. Hope one day, I will be returned to see thing change for better. 100% in heart advising, detailing makes success!
Beautiful cozy ambience and good food
Absolutely delicious beetroot tart and gnocchi, warm and welcoming atmosphere and all round great place for a dinner date!
First class breakfast at Locavore, the mushrooms on toast are sensational. As are the coffee and service. This local family restaurant have just started opening for breakfast on weekends from 8.30am. Do yourself a favour and pop in.
A very centrally located Cafe Restaurant. In Stirling, Adelaide Hills. The seating configuration has been well thought out with options for groups or couples. Outside you will find a spacious, designed, dedicated, alfresco area. The owners are comparatively new to owning this cafe, but well experience in the catering industry. Enjoyed a good discussion with the owners, will definitely return for a dinner, as the menu is a Locavore 100 Mile interesting.
